Staff was very unfriendly. They didn't have our reservations but we had our confirmation. He made some calls and we thought we had it worked out. Then our King Suite turned into a small queen room and a very little bathroom on the far back side of the hotel where you heard all kinds of noise from the alley. Even though we're on the 4th floor. Plus we still have more nights booked and paid for in advance.

SUPER cute hotel, lots of really cute places to take pictures pretty much everywhere. I loved that the hotel isn’t BRAND new, but everything is still in very nice condition & the hotel has an overall upscale feel to it, while still feeling like a piece of real SF history as well haha my mom would probably call it “shabby chic hollywood”. Really conveniently RIGHT next door to Walgreens & really close to union square. Staff was super nice, really accommodating! but I was kind of annoyed that their tv’s advertise an app to use as a remote for the tv’s/easy check out service but NO ONE there has their access code or even has any idea that their TV advertises an app lmao BUT I got the staycation package & my 1 night in the loft suite w/ 1qn bd & a fireplace was only $175 including taxes, fees & $36 in complimentary breakfast for me & my bestie. That included parking as well, which in the city can be expensive af. It was about a block up the street, but they let us park our car out front, unpack & take everything upstairs & get settled in before moving our car to the parking garage. I felt like $175 was an absolute steal for the room we got w/ a balcony, fireplace, breakfast & parking included. I was just annoyed bout that app 😩 hahah.

Horrible, Don't do it!

The bathroom was dirty. The alarm clock was disgustingly dirty. Check in felt rushed and unfriendly. There is inadequate time to park in front of the hotel to drop your bags off in the lobby and checkin before you have to move your car. You drive to the Westin Hotel 2 blocks away to have your car valet parked in their garage. That costs about $50 dollars a day. One should just book at the Westin since that’s where your car will be. Then they ask for another $200 dollars at check in as a damage deposit and to go towards your parking fee. It’s noisy due to the location being on a busy street in downtown San Fran. I used ear plugs and that did help some. On a positive note the Queen bed was comfortable and the linen were high quality in the corner room I had. There was also an in room safe and a small refrigerator. It’s very unlikely I will book here again mostly because of the noise and the uncleanliness I mentioned.

Horrible mgmt, no customer service, mocked us for trying to cancel due to COVID. Expected more… to put it mildly.

Good location, great staff. But … have some problems with my bill and now I can't get in touch with the billing department. Noone is returning my calls. Front desk can't retrieve my bill because I left the hotel 7 days ago! Never heard this kind of excuse before. Very disappointed…

First & foremost Kevin, you are AMAZING thank you taking the time to talk to us upon our arrival & fixing our reservation issue. Secondly Freddie you went above and beyond you really did… Freddie, Paco & Glen run this place professionally & personabally. Their impeccable attention to detail leaves you wanting more. Virginia took great care of us at Breakfast every morning! All streets surrounding property have MUCH to offer. WALKING everywhere is effortless, never imagined it was so close to the heart of the shopping industry lol. We will be back, and highly recommend this beautiful Historic Hotel! if you don't come here, your missing out!

Lovely bijoux hotel in the centre of town. Staff were superb and the room cozy and clean.

Nice modern, French chic ambiance. Friendly staff. Great location at the theater district, especially if you are watching an SF play. Clean rooms. In-house Bota resto is amazing. Paella is superb. The in-house bar, The European, is well-stocked and cozy.

I agree with the beautiful review Noelle gave in April 2018. The Warrick is a great choice for accommodation in San Francisco. It is truly well located and only a few blocks from Union Square and close to all transport, lovely shops, art galeries, convenience stores and the bus that takes you to the Golden Gate Bridge. The hotel rates were a bit high for us as our South African Rand is weak. The hospitable and helpful staff, the thirst quenching chilled citrus water at reception, the tastefully and most adequately furnished and equipped Queen room with en suite bathroom we were given added greatly to our most enjoyable stay here. It really felt like a second home. My personal highlight of our three day stay at The Warrick in June 2018, and in fact of our entire visit to this city, was actually the excellent breakfast we enjoyed at The Warrick. Please pass on my gratitude to the chef once again! Further credit is due to the young waitress who served us one morning. She noticed the sad face of our nine year old daughter whom we had told should choose the protein breakfast above the sweet pancake choice she wished to make. The waitress disappeared and returned with the most beautiful pancake decorated with strawberries and with honey or maple syrup on the side. Well, that just made everyone's day! It was happiness all around!

I have stayed at this hotel twice now. The first time I books Exipedia and got a decent room the second time I've booked through hotel tonight and got a horrible room. Both times the staff at the front desk were decent enough but they were definitely not welcoming. The location is great. However next time I visit San Francisco I will probably find a different hotel that's priced the same.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two night last summer. It is the worst travel decision we ever made. The hotel has a good location. But that was all about it. There was littered toilet paper everywhere in the hanging lights and on top of the air conditioner. The room we got was very tiny and even though the hotel was renovated. The old wardrobe was a little bit smelly. We report to the front desk but there was no room change because the hotel was full that night. We felt so disgusting that we could not sleep during the night. But we did not receive any kind of sincere apology after our stay. This is even worse than a motel.

Clean rooms and on-suite bathroom. There is no gym or anything like that, but San Francisco is a great place for an outdoor run anyway. The attached bar has excellent cocktails and drinks. Friendly staff and it is fairly central. Overall I would recommend.

We booked a queen room for a 5 night stay at the Warwick, San Francisco (4/18/18 thru 4/23/18). Price for it's location during this time of year near Union Square is very reasonable. SF is a pricey city, but this hotel was perfect for us. We arrived mid morning after a red eye flight, and the front desk clerk checked us in early (normal check in time is 3 pm). It was very gracious of them to allow us to do so, as we were tired from travelling. The 5th floor room was …cozy and nicely appointed, very well kept with a cute window bench seat with cushions overlooking the street. The queen bed headboard had a matching armoire closet, with a small refrigerator, and safe provided. An iron and ironing board were included in the room. Air conditioning was cool and quiet, and kept the noise from the street to a minimum. Bathroom fixtures were modern (rectangular above counter lavatory sink), and shower fixtures were antique brass with an attractive dark colored marble bathtub/shower enclosure. Hair dryer was included. Basic toiletries: small bath soap, shampoo, conditioner and hand lotion were also included and supplied daily by housekeeping. The room decor was interesting, with framed photos of famous old San Francisco locations. The flat screen TV was integrated into the wall near the photos, and was pretty discrete. The location of this hotel to Union Square is just a couple of blocks away.

Went to San Francisco to see a play and spend the night. Perfect location — less than a block away from the theater. The bed was so comfortable, the room was quiet, the price was fantastic. I've paid more for less. This is my new go-to place.

Outstanding service and attention to detail. Clean, well appointed, comfortable rooms. Loved the view from the balcony. A must stay if you want to be close to the action of downtown San Fracisco but still wish to feel transported when relaxing in your room. Excellent pours at the bar. Don't miss the whiskey selection. The dinner and breakfast selection are pricey but worth it. So ttrat yourself. Can't wait to go back.

Great experience. Extremely comfortable bed. Were upgraded to mini suite. Breakfast was great, attentive staff. Perfect location. Was here 20 years ago and experience was even better now.

Good location. Good service. Rooms very comfortable and clean. They have fitness center but off-site and only applies for certain rates, otherwise they are $15 the pass.

It's a fairly nice hotel, recently renovated, but the furniture and carpets could be cleaner. Several suspicious stains that just look like they could be fixed with an upholstery cleaner. I stayed in a fireplace suite on the top floor. It is a nice room but it faces an alley. The light is nice though and it is comfortable. Staff has been nice and the breakfast is pretty good. The furniture organization in the room could be better to take advantage of the nice little fireplace. The hall way smells like human or animal urine. Very strongly. And the room also has a slight smell.

Really very charming hotel. The bedding is very comfortable and the rooms tastefully furnished. The staff are very friendly! A restaurant and bar are available on site. Ideally located in the city center, it is very convenient! Only downside, the rooms are not very well insulated from the noise.

This place is terrible. The rooms have a distinct musty smell (probably mold because of the lack of ventilation in the bathrooms), that the staff excuses because it’s “an older, boutique hotel. ” They also leave dirty sheets and dishes out in the hallway. Let’s not forget the lack of privacy with no curtains or blinds, the 5 am construction, and noise from the rough crowd in the neighboring alley. 10/10 would not stay again.

The Warwick was a great hotel for my short stay in San Francisco. The location was very convenient being just a few blocks away from Union Square and the Powell St. BART station. Our corner room was very clean and comfortable. If you're a light sleeper then the noise from the street might be a problem, especially if you end up on a lower floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was highly satisfied with my stay overall and would stay again if I get a chance.

Typical small downtown hotel but the location is ideal as it’s close to everything. If your a suburbanite the area maybe a little “intimidating” but it’s not bad by any means. Staff was nice. Got caught in rain the front desk gave me an umbrella right away. Will return here as is this is a less expensive stay then other SF rooms.

Very classy, it's very well located; I stayed in 6th floor and still very noisy. But it's San Francisco what can you expect :) definitely I recommend this one.

Rooms were good. Next to a Walgreens. The service there was great.

Didnt accept our travel money card, the staff where so rude. We payed cash cos they didn't accept our card, we went to check out and asked for our bond back which was promised in cash on check out. We got a rude front desk man who struggled his shoulders and told us we weren't going to grit OUR money … after a big ordeal we got our money and as we walked out no good bye thank you got your stay. Just rudeness. Never again!

Nicely located if you're into this area. The room I got was nice. A bit on the small size. The staff is (mostly) nice and attentive. It's relatively clean. The in house restaurant/bar is nice.

This hotel has the rudest staff I have ever encountered. I asked the front desk where I should go eat lunch and she said the Cheesecake Factory. Another man asked for a restaurant with a view and they were unable to help. I felt so bad for him, he just wanted to enjoy the city. You would think the front desk staff is not from here. The bellman barely brought my bag into my room and asked for a tip. The room itself was fine, but this staff looks like they all despise their jobs. We will never stay here again.

The service is excellent and room and facilities were spot on. Special call out to the Bar staff!

This is a top notch place. Would definitely recommend.

The room was small but perfect for an overnight visit and was priced accordingly. The staff was wonderful and quite helpful in helping us find some local spots for dinner and a cocktail. The only snafu was that the valet took forever to retrieve our car (I'm pretty sure they originally brought down the wrong car). We'd definitely stay with them again.

Unlike so many other hotels in this area, the Warwick was clean, quiet, and cozy. I loved the decor in the room, it certainly stands out compared to the boring square headboards and the generic pastoral paintings you see everywhere else. And on top of that, the room service was speedy and the food was excellent. This is a great choice for work travelers like me, or someone visiting the city for the first time like some of the other reviewers commenting on Facebook.

Location is good, price is a bit steep, rooms are on par with boutique hotel size. Aveline, their restaurant, is excellent, and Neil the server is great as well. Overall having a good stay.

Great service and accommodations. The Club level offerings is terrific and well worth the extra price. Our 8 years old son loved the special attention and service given to him by the hotel staff which made our stay extra special and enjoyable. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Nob Hill with only 2 1/2 short blocks from the center of union square.

The staff is friendly, and the rooms are relatively nice. I am not happy with the internet connection available, however — it sadly hangs out below 2 Mb/s, and when I tried to upgrade to a faster connection, it failed.

Rooms are small but fine. Service is pretty decent. The breakfast selection is not very varied.

The staff at the Warwick were all super friendly and helpful. They were happy to give recommendations for places to go and eat while we were there. I had some billing issues due to having to split my stay up to two different reservations, but they eventually got it sorted out after a few phone calls over a few weeks.

Amazing hotel that is near everything you may need in SF. Hotel workers are kind and courteous, and will answer any questions you may have. Rooms are spacious, clean, and with plenty of character. I will only stay at the Warwick when in SF, and highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was friendly but that didn't make up for the place's dysfunctions. I was upgraded to a suite which was a very nice gesture but I realised very quickly this might have been to soften the blow of the smell in the room (s). Let me explain, as soon as I walked into my room, I was hit by a smell so strong I got a headache after 10 minutes. It was so bad I slept with the window open even though the traffic below was very loud. The staff were nice and sent someone up with a spray but this just masked the smell and didn't make it any better. The next morning I was given the choice of a different room but unfortunately, the smell was in that room too. The person who showed me the room admitted they were aware a bad was smell coming from the air con and they had renovated the hotel hoping it would go away. Clearly it didn't. The smell was blamed on the fact the building is pretty old (although compared to European building it really isnt). I moved after that first night to a hotel in a building as old but where there is no bad smell. Poor excuse if you ask. Me. I also tried room service and breakfast, both were terrible from a food perspective. I ordered avocado and egg on toast for breakfast and they managed to forget the avocado! The bread was very hard and the whole thing unseasoned and really not good. My 8 years old cooks better eggs.

We went for happy hour, but they cancelled it because of a convention. The place looked great, we just didn't enjoy ourselves because we wanted after work drinks.

The room was nice newly refurbished and not too small. Sadly the hotel dry cleaning lost my shirt. That said, they did send it to me a week or two later. Staff was friendly.

San Francisco's Warwick is not at all like it looks in the photos. The lady in the front desk was rude and charged extra even though I paid with cash they froze the amount on my credit card. When I spoke to the lady in charge she was so rude, threatening to put me off the call. I am trying to get my money back because I need it for my vacation but they did nothing but say they could only give me half. I do NOT recommend this hotel.

Great room. Small but ultra clean and quiet, except for a lot of slamming doors (presumably the maids cleaning the other rooms). Lovely comfortable bed. Hotel staff was most helpful and kind. Bar next door, The European, had amazing cocktails and a quiet yet fun atmosphere. Restaurant has good food but we waited a very long time for breakfast even though the place was nearly empty. The server said she wanted to kill the chef. I will stay here again, but skip the restaurant.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Good recommendation of local eatery. Valet parking little pricey estimated $60 daily with ins and outs. Yikes. Uber service is available. Room was nice, cute, and clean. Bed was ok. Bar and restaurant downstairs lobby. Lots of walking places to checkout. Walgreens close by if you need any last minute forgotten toiletries. Literally across the street. Other reviews didn't sound appealing but so far our experience was great.

I think this hotel is meant to be Victorian, but the interior and the rooms come off as dingy and creepy. And of course this neighborhood is not good. Your out-of-town guests are better off in your tiny apartment or an Airbnb.

We were a contractor that helped remodel this hotel, Everything is finished and wonderful. Warwick refuses to pay the Main Contractor as a result this contractor can not pay the Subs. There was nothing that Warwick did not like. As a result I will never do business with this hotel and I hope no one else does.

They are under construction. The beds in the rooms are hard, the drapery and fabric is OLD. Terrible.

I would definitely stay at the Warwick again. The room was immaculate, quiet and very nicely appointed, with everything I needed and many thoughtful touches. The canopy bed had high thread count sheets and some of the most comfortable pillows I've experienced, and the shower had wonderfully high pressure. The staff was courteous, and the hotel is very well located. In this price range, it was a very welcome level of luxury and comfort.

We spent our first honeymoon night at the Warwick at it was fabulous. The bathroom was sparkling and the tub giant. Our bed was comfy and the furnishings were beautiful. It was like travelling back to a simpler time. We look forward to visiting again.
