Very friendly staff with good recommendations for restaurants. Good sized rooms and great location within walking distance from most things.

I really don’t recommend it. My family stayed here last night, it was really hot. There is no AC. We had all windows open and 2 fans on. I woke up with itchy red large bumps on my shoulders, arms, legs… bed bugs?

It's okay. Room a bit hot for the price paid, but we're in Santa Monica. Cleaning and sympathy ok.

The staff are extremely friendly. At any time also for questions not concerning the motel. Room 29 was small but fine for 4 people. Very clean and cozy. Especially the beds are very pleasant.

It's ok, but they don't have air conditioning, they give you a fan and you have a ceiling fan. 90 degree weather that's not ok. Parking is crappy, other then that it was ok!

My husband and I rented small room only problem it had no AC and it ended up being to hot in the room to stay. The staff was amazing the room was very clean and cozy. The staff is fixing the AC problem but we just came before they could resolve. And they had no other rooms to switch us in. But they were so kind to us and the situation that they reimbursed us half of the cost when we had to check out early. Bad, unpredictable experience but not a bad place or staff. We will stay there again when we come back. Because it really was very nice place just some minor AC issues that were not in their control. So we will come again. Thank you guys for really going above and beyond for your guests. Sincerely Delgados.

Very reasonable pricing for Santa Monica. Nice rooms. And we're very helpful to our stay went beyond the needs on the customer service for us. I'm coming back whrnever I'm back in town.

Cynthia attended my family and I, she is amazing! Got a great deal for the night, got free parking right infront of our room. We could see our vehicle right from the window! Free fast Wi-Fi as well and free breakfast! Got oatmeal, free coffee, hot chocolate, banana bread and cereals for the kids with OJ boxes, the kids were so happy! 7 of us stayed in a double double room and we fit perfectly! Microwave and mini fridge in the room! Free cable and even an iron with its iron bored all for such a good price! SO worth the money! And to top it all off it's only 20 minutes walking distance from the famous Santa Monica Pier! You can save money on the $20/$30 parking there! All in all FIVE STARS! We already decided when we go back this is where we will be staying! Don't keep looking, book here! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

This little motel is a gem! Cannot fault it! So clean, staff amazing! I asked them if they could do something for my husbands 60th & my brother in laws engagement. They decorated our room with glow in the dark balloons & streamers, a little gift & card. Engaged couple got a complimentary bottle of bubbles, card & small gift. They couldn’t have been more helpful or kinder if they tried! Highly recommend!

Motel is located close to the santa monica pier, the rooms were clean and comfortable but basic no fridge or microwave. The saevace was frendly and very helpful when we asked ablut the area. They offer breakfast of instant oarmeal a d muffins (this was a bonus as it was not mentiond on yhe booking site.

The staff is very helpful, the rooms are nice, clean, the beds are really comfortable, very rich to rest.
A great point in favor is that they have a mini fridge, which is very appreciated.

Well placed close to 15min walk to the beach. Breakfast very simple to take on the thumb.

We stayed two nights in February and Laura was so welcoming, nice and helpful. Rooms was small and basic but clean and had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back. Thank you Laura!

Very good location. Large and comfortable rooms with coffee-maker and fridge. Very friendly staff.

The room is nice and the staff is great. They will go out of there way to help you if they can. I plan to come back and stay agin.

If you have a car and want to sleep in a confortable please, and avoid spend so much in hotel, then it is the right option. I would not recommend this hotel if you are not driving a car. Hotel is clean, save and well attended.

Great little place to stay and staff was excellent. Rooms are really clean and nice decor. Price reasonable, too. Not far from beach. Would stay again!

Excellent service, we got a very bad room, close to the street, with a lot of noise, low ventilation and no air conditioning, very hot.

First & foremost, the staff members are genuinely friendly! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk agent, Laura, is very helpful and attentive to the needs of the guests. The manager is a cool guy as well! Overall, I highly recommend this motel to anyone (families included) visiting the Santa Monica area. The experience for the value is great! Not too big; U-shaped; You enter with the car (this is the principle) ; Nice parking (a little weird to write this but it feels like it does). Placed on a street of utilitarian and commercial buildings but cleans. Behind (between the motel and the sea, close enough) It's Santa Monica's good outfit, so rather chic (little treed streets, small lawn benches on the sidewalks, pretty Californian houses of all styles…). Warm welcome. Single rooms but property; Sober or even elegant design, I would say.

This Motel was lovely! There were a lot of small touches that made it a little more special such as make up wipes, other toiletries, breakfast, coffee and it was very clean and the bed comfortable! It was modern. There was always ample parking. The Wi-Fi was a little iffy at times, and it was very noisy. One of the nights people had turned up very late and were going back and forwards to their car, they were loud and horn kept beeping every time they locked their car, others in the surrounding rooms were loud and banging. I feel this Motel could have managed their guests better in terms of respect for others. It was also very expensive, the location is fine but it was the most expensive we've paid throughout our travels around California…

Nice and updated rooms, which was a surprise! Very friendly staff and rooms were generally quite clean. Only two complaints are that the room only had a ceiling fan to keep cool but it didn't go nearly fast enough to actually feel anything and it seemed like it was stuck on a slower setting. Also in the shower I found a previously used bar of soap. Which was clearly just over looked based on how clean everything else was.

The room was clean and had good quality bedding and towels. I was surprised at how many rooms could fit in their small area. It was an easy walk to the beach.

Security is not guaranteed, our room has been searched and business has been stolen. The room is really small for the price, no services given with. We spotted cockroaches.

It is what it is. Just a place to crash. That said it's clean and quiet and the service is friendly. Downside is no AC. Overall this is satisfactory and (relatively) cheap solution for a quick place to spend the night.

Amazing staff and the room was so much nicer than expected! Plenty of room and everything has been remodeled inside. Bedding was comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend this place great location as well! Thank you to all the staff you were all super awesome! We will be back!

This was our favorite stay on our Route 66 adventure! To start, the staff was AMAZING! So friendly and nice! It was extremely clean, the rooms were adorable. Parking was Tucked back off the road which made us feel more comfortable. Quiet, cute rooms that seem to have been recently updated. Absolutely a great stay. Highly recommend this. Only a 15-20 minute WALK from the beach and a $5 uber ride! For the location and price we HIGHLY recommend staying here! Was actually kind of sad to leave.

Only stayed 1 night. Our room was broken into and our laptop was stolen. In the morning we had no hot water and the toilet was blocked. Wouldn't stay here again if u paid me. The manager did refund our money but it was awful.

No air-con, lots of traffic noise, no fridge, attendant wouldn't allow water to be boiled before 7!, bathroom door wouldn't close properly, shower tap about to drop off, only ONE chair in the room, but what would you expect for only $au 200 per night!

It was a nice room nice everything. Up until around 4am when I was woken up by a rat that had came out of the heater on the wall in room 25; digging threw a paper bag looking for food. Have fun with your extra room mates of you stay here.

The rooms were nice and had everything you needed. Our bathroom was a lot smaller than the other room my party stayed in but that wasn't a huge deal. The lady at the front was very accommodating and let us leave our bags in the front after we checked out and before our fight home. Would visit again. Close enough to walk to the beach and there were a ton of places to eat close by.

Absolutely horrible. Motels are for sleeping and they make it as impossible as they can… Hot, loud, and completely unsafe! The place is filthy and extremely overpriced.

Stayed here with my husband. Staff were really nice, even gave us a extra fan because it was hot that day and there is no air conditioning… rooms were clean. Thats all that really matters… all we did was sleep there… and it wasn't far to walk to the peir… I will go back…

You get what you pay for — clean enough, but no A/C. Stayed 2 nights in 100 degree weather and sweated quite a bit.

Peoples expectations crack me up. $70nt "pricey"? Fourteen blocks from the beach. We checked it out on-line and stayed two nights on New Years Eve for $99nt. It's a vintage motor court and it was exactly what we expected. It has a great European feel on the outside and was surprisingly quiet The owner is on-site and was friendly and helped me get my truck parked in one of the garages. If you want free breakfast you can get it down the street for $300nt. If yo want to escape the big city color go to Santa Barbara.

Little bit pricey but it's Santa Monica in Aug. Other motels were charging almost twice as much. Comfortable bed, bathroom and shower. What more do you need in a motel? Staff was friendly and helpful when I couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi.

This place really sucks it stinks, no ac, no phone, stains on pillows, mattress very unconfortable, the bath got flooded, blanket freekin stinks I think they dont really wash them. Plus they dont even serve breakfast for kids. I regret my visit to this dum cheap old sucky motel. Pls save ur self a bad experience. Some one should call an inspector to check it out.

After touring south west USA on $40 hotel rooms, the Santa Monica Motel was somewhat out of our budget at $70/night. But this price is offset by many complementary features, including Wi-Fi, parking and GIGANTIC BED BUGS. These aren’t your ordinary bed bugs people. These bugs have been working out at nearby Muscle Beach — not only pumping iron but pumping the “gym candy”. Arnie would be proud. Anyone who has had any experience with the bed bug knows that the most frustrating thing about them is that you can’t kill them – they’re so small and hard to find… but not the Santa Monica Motel bed bug (SMMBB). Check out the photo of the one we spotted trying to make a hasty exit for his chest and back workout down at Venice… and yep that’s my blood splatter. The other great feature of the SMMBB are that their bites itch for WEEKS – so you can be reminded of your holiday fun long after returning to the daily grind – photo also included. In hindsight, I'd happily fork out another $100 to stay anywhere but this place.

Biggest travel regret of my life. This place was nasty. It was a bad sign that we were sent past a dozen vacant rooms in the one-story wing, to the two-story wing where the other unfortunate travelers were parked. Stayed here just after Thanksgiving, so it was cold enough to wish the heater worked. Also cold enough to have to sleep in our clothes, since we weren't getting under those covers under any circumstances. The damage where the bathroom door had been busted open was a charming touch. I still tear up sometimes remembering that I put my wife through this. I don't remember what I paid, but anything would be too much. I wouldn't even stay here again on a dare. Don't do it.

The place is a dump — cheap and very very nasty! Stayed just for the one night and stayed out as long as possible and left early in the morning just so we could spend as little time in the room as possible. Room was dirty, dark and reeked of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Stayed in plenty of cheap hotels/motels/backpackers places of my recent trip from Australia to the US but this was the worst by a long way.

Absolutely ekeligste Motel very la if not in the world? We can stay for 110 dollars. After we had looked at the rooms we fled in diameter ropes. Sure there not stay.

The most terrifying motel in the world… reference targets drugged, prostitutes and alcoholics. Absolutely not to be advised of women travelling alone. My sister and I did not sleep all night terrified by the drunken neighbor who did nothing but wander around and throw up…
