Way to expensive for what you get… very old and dirty room. We were able to understand every single word of our room neighbours. The bed was a very noisy bed… over all no recommendation.

Stopped by really late they had a room available the only one we could find under $250 (way under). Beautiful courtyard, friendly staff and a bathroom larger than the room.

Ideal to take family room if your friend snores. Stayed here for 2 nights to end our road trip. Not the best but it was kinda good place to close the road trip.

Comfortable. 600 meters from Santa Monica Beach. It has a lot of fast food around. Clean. Includes parking and Wi-Fi.

Love staying here every time in town. Cozy room, very clean, and staff is very accommodating.

Nice inner courtyard garden with seating. Rooms a bit small, ok for a night or two. Front facing rooms open on to back of a drive through, so if you want the curtains open for any light, anyone passing by can see in. Could do with a net or bit of muslin up at the window … fridges & heaters in each room. Wi-Fi good.

The rooms are a little small for 4 plus people but great service, decent price and decent area.

We weren't expecting perfection but for the price, we weren't expecting this. Poor ventilation. Coughed all night. Paperthin walls! Sure the neighbors loved me! Wall heater coming off the wall. Bathroom sink coming off the wall. The room was not the room we booked. Disappointed customers.

Awesome location only a 15 min walk to main street. Great place for the price. Staff was amazing. Bed was comfy. Outside noise was minimal. Walls are a little thin and water pressure wasn't the hardest but you can't beat it for the price. I will stay here again in the future.

Clean room and comfy bed. Frindly staff. Good location. They don't have air conditioner. It must be hot during summer time.

Motel looks ugly and run down from outside. Rooms are clean, but they have no A/C. None of them do. How are you going to have no cold air in California? I'm sweating as I'm writing this review thank God I'm only staying one night. Also, I'd only lower it to 3 stars but the TV was broken, missing drawer in room, and the bathroom appliances were practically falling apart.

It was clean and safe. No bells and whistles, but if you're looking for an affordable bed for a night or two, this fits the bill.

The attendants were really nice and comprehensive people. We showed up really early (before check-in hours because we had arrived earlier than expected) and the lady was very nice to have let us check-in. I might add that it was freezing outside but nevertheless the lady was very kind and the warm welcome was appreciated. As for the place itself, I found it very clean and organized and the beds were comfortable. No signs of pests that one may fear when booking a hotel. I loved it overall, and I highly recommend it if you want a safe and affordable, family-friendly hotel that is close to many convenient locations (Airport, Denny's, grocery store, and the beach itself).

It was OK. That's about all I can really say.

What you see is what you get, clean room comfy bed good shower, excellent staff and close to the peir (15 min) would recommend Rest Haven to anybody against all the more expensive places nearer the front!

Won't take credit card payments over the phone and when you show up, there's a 13 year old boy running the counter. Irresponsible. I'm not letting a barely teenager handle my credit card.

Expensive, not a good area and room was really a converted outhouse.
No wardrobe in the room but there were lots of drawers and about 20 coat pegs.
The bed was also really high and being 6'3 even I found its height uncomfortable. The room was in a nice little courtyard with a lockable gate however its the first time I have had an office chair outside the room instead of a sun chair.

I love the place you get what you pay for and you literally can walk down to the beach. The neighborhood is beautiful. I will be coming back.

Fantastic Motel, Great Staff, Great Location, Brilliant Price Oh, and the maid makes animals out of the hand towels, enough said.

Los Angeles – Resthaven Motel – Santa Monica – As far as motels go, this is like any other: cheap, sort-of clean, hard bed, etc. As far as Santa Monica motels go, this is apparently a palace. It’s the only motel that doesn’t have bedbug complaints (as far as I could tell). I stayed here for three nights, and I never saw a bug, or any evidence of there being any. The room was fairly clean, and well furnished, with laminate hardwood floors. Each night was uneventful and quiet; I got good sleep here. The Wi-Fi here worked better than in many brand hotels I’ve stayed at. The hot water was slow to come, but it eventually arrived. Overall, this is a great little place that I can’t find fault with. 6/10.

This place is great! Just what I needed-a clean room with just enough ammenities. Nice flat screen TV with lost of channels and a fridge. A budget motel so there is no coffee, breakfast, etc. But there are plently of places to eat in the general vicinity. The pleasant management is what made this place extra nice. LInens and towels are basic. Only soap and shanpoo provided. Bring conditioner. They have an iron and blow dryer available if you ask. The rooms sleep anywhere from 2-4 people. Make a reservation as this place fills up because of the good price. If you are to show up late, call. This is a mom and pop type of place so there is not someone answering the phone or in the office 24/7. Show them respect and they will show you respect. If you get there early, you may get to choose from available rooms. I have also gotten there super early, like noon, and they cleaned the room I was going to be in first so I could put my stuff inside and take a shower ASAP. Not a fancy place but clean, inexpensive and friendly. The rooms off the lovely courtyard are the nicest and quietest. The ones in the front building have more external noise, mostly on weekends, from nearby bar and Jack in the Box. But the windows are newer and do a decent job of filtering out any noise. I always bring earplugs and use them everywhere, especially at the chain hotels where the maids are super loud in the hallways talking and vacuuming early in the morning. Not here! You can sleep in here.

Excellent value. Good location. Very clean. Small rooms but we didn't need to entertain there. Very friendly and accommodating.
