Stayed here one night arriving late. There was gum on the carpet in the room which we didn’t notice until my child placed a shirt on the floor and it got stuck. It was in the main area of room and if you passed a vacuum over it surely would’ve stuck to it. We told front desk at check out, he brushed it off as nothing, and said he would send house keeping. That’s great, but we were checking out. Customer service lacking.

Paid almost 2400 for 4 nights — tonight is our last night! I would of changed hotels if everything wouldn’t of been full! Room is old/ and very outdated — so is the exterior. There’s no room to put things like an extra table or place for suitcases — bathroom is dingy because it’s not been re done — like places in grout on tile and tub! Mattresses are not supporting. Just very disappointed — looks way better in pics! I am super disappointed — Double Trees are usually no fail! Also — needed an extra blanket Sunday night and there’s was no clean! Had this booked since Feb and would of changed if there was anything else here to accommodate us. Front desk and valet have been nice though!

LOVED this hotel. Felt like family honestly. We were greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies every day. The valet helped tremendously when we needed help, and room service brought me tons of blankets because of how cold I am in California. I sure will miss this hotel.

Worst hotel to stay at! Manager does not care about guests. They will over change you for a terrible room.

Fantastic guest service — one of the best hotels stays ever!

Expensive and does not match the price in terms of facilities. No free daily drinking water in room. No breakfast included in the room price. No free parking for hotel guests that pay to stay. Only vellet parking at $44 per night. This time I was desperate for a place at this conferance venue. I will certainly be more mindful next time.

Good location, staff friendly enough and concierge very helpful. The hotel and the rooms are looking very tired though, a little shabby even. No free Wi-Fi which sucks.

Great location and Hilton Honors customer service here is excellent. The breakfast is delicious everything you could want. Parking is not included with the room and is pricey because there aren't many public parking spaces.

I had several friends staying here, they always had a great experience, never one complaint. Everyone seems to love the Double Tree here, in the 16 years I have been around, I never heard one dissatisfied person, I attended several events here. This is a great hotel, very conveniently placed, right in between Main St and Third St Promenade, very easy to find while driving also. It has valet, so sky is the limit, as far as how luxurious a stay you are looking for!

Suites offer nice amount of space. Comfy beds and two big TVs. A fridge and a microwave are a nice bonus too. Breakfast buffet was better than most. Valet parking is nice perk, and a shuttle to and from the Santa Monica pier is a great advantage.

Love waking up to the sound of someone pounding drums! I guess the high school is really close to the hotel and they like having marching band practice at 7 am! Otherwise this would be a good hotel but tell ur marching band to quiet down!

This hotel is very well located in Sta Monica. As an example, with a 10 minutes walk you will be able to reach the pier, gas station, convenience store and also a shopping center. Rooms are great, they are comfortable and very well cleaned up. The staff of the hotel is polite and they are always ready for your request.

Classic hotel with very large and accessorized suites, competent staff, attentive and well organized small pool but well oriented compared to the sea and sunny all day, some difficulties with Wi-Fi but all solved and overcome with their intervention! Despite having to leave the suite a day in advance they didn't ask us anything!

Fantastic place that stay. Clean rooms, great staff, pool & gym and short walk to the pier. Bar & food were good. Expect to pay extra for valet parking but this is pretty common in hotels in the US…

Clean rooms, nice staff. Service was as expected. The location is great with walking distance to peer and restaurants. Valet parking only and will get you for $40 a day.

This place is overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately, we were in a pinch and had to stay here last minute. On top of the expensive room, they charge you $40 to park your car, which you have to do. The rooms are very old and dated. The windows were filthy, could hardly see out. The shower/tub were also gross. Stained and random black hair everywhere. Will never stay here again nor recommend.

If I could leave a zero for Manager customer service I would. We checked in paid $40.00 a day for parking in there valet garage. Our car never moved. Upon checkout were sorry Mrs. You have a flat. It was not a flat it was a full puncture and you see where they drove over the curb. Every excuse in the book to cover themselves. Manager was well how do we know it happened here we have no security or cameras too bad. Worst attitude from employees and manager valet wanted to talk down to us for there damage. Will never stay at another Hilton again with how they have zero value for their customers.

Its a nice hotel but $40/night for parking is too high. The valet guys are very nice as well as the front desk people. Our view from the room was veey pretty at night!

The king room is spacious with a nice bar with sink, bathroom, vanity area where you can do hair/makeup, living room area, and a bedroom. I love the two huge LG flat screen tvs they have in the room, one for the bedroom, and one for the living room. Outside the room is the hallway with an open center you can view the bar, and lobby floor. It's all enclosed, but has a open environment. See pictures for more details. The pool is long, but only runs 4ft deep. It's slightly heated. The hot tub/jacuzzi is nice.

Filthy rooms! I’ve stayed here numerous times because of the location and being a loyal Hilton Diamond member. Never again. The rooms are dirty, outdated, and overpriced. The customer service sucks. Do yourself a favor and stay at a similarly priced but better non-Hilton hotel.

I stayed for 3 nights and am pleased with the hotel overall. Great customer service by staff, excellent location, and good for family. The hotel is in need of updating, but once that is complete it will be very nice.

The employees here were all very professional. The room I stayed in was very nice and didn't have any odor (neither a perfumed or unpleasant smell) like some other hotels. I will say, the room service was timely but not very good. It wasn't very expensive so its not really a big deal. Keep in mind that you have to buy Wi-Fi. I did and it barely worked in my room. Total waste of money and I spent all night with little to no service.

3 points because of the difference of claim and reality. The Paris would not stay in the rooms of their hotels, so rancid have become the aging. It is not dirty, but the walls were felt a hundred times over.

Nice restaurant, always had great service and plenty of seating. Attended a training in a conference room. Very nice setup and plenty of restrooms.

This hotel is beautiful and quite opulent. We were attending a presentation in the ballroom so we didnt get to see the actual hotel rooms but if they are anything like the rest of the hotel then the rooms must be gorgeous. Would love to stay here some time!

Loved my stay here. They only have valet parking, but it's so convenient and all the staff gave stellar service. Room was very nice, quiet, comfortable. And, hello, free warm cookies at check in!

Outdated, with very little to do and also paid Wi-Fi despite the expensive room prices, the only thing that saves a bit is the pool.

Rooms and service were solid. We were comfortable and found the cleaning folks to tbe thorough and unobtrusive. The buffet breakfast was good, and had better hours than many other places that cut off breakfast by the time you have rounded up kids to eat together. The beach is within walking distance, as well as Downtown restaurants, shopping and entertainment. You are right next to the police headquarters too, so the neighborhood is pretty safe.

Beautiful hotel, clean luxurious room, friendly staff, safe neighborhood. The only hotelvparking, though, was valet, and a bit pricey. But there's a parking garage across the street for much cheaper, of you're willing to walk with your stuff from the car to the hotel.

This hotel is nice. It is a little small, but there is a nice pool and a gym. There are a few amenities. It is cozy and in a good location.

Nice, clean, and convenient! Love the covered, off the main street, entry to the check in area. Valets are courteous and quick to help. Glad to see 3 elevators, so very little wait time to head to our room to relax. Room is clean, has a pleasant smell upon entry, and quiet. Especially loved the sturdy shower doors and heavy (not cheap) bath towels! ☺

The parking expensive, the Wi-Fi payment But the location is pretty good.

There is only valet parking, it is expensive are $39 plus rates, there is more economical parking in the area, breakfast is $20, the hotel is OK, the room was spacious and the location is unbeatable, very close to the Pier of Santa Monica and the shopping streets.

Awesome location near the beach and shopping. Comfortable stay. Great pool. Great bar and coffee bar. Decor could use an update.

Front staff is great (front desk +car service) Lounge is a joke. 1 rude guy in the lounge with a shot pour @ $22 convinced me not to come back! 9/22/2017. Better hotels in Santa Monica at better value.

The service is excellent as well as the services, rooms and reports on sites of interest, also the proximity to many interesting places and has an excellent view.

The room was average and staff are friendly. It Doesn't worth the price. The location was good but there are hotels in bitter location in Santa Monica. Public parking is in the front street which is great advantage.

Very good experience. Rooms are very nice and house keeping upkeeps them very well. Loved all the amenities… pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness centre. Such a short walk to the beach which was amazing as well. Overall an awesome experience.

Seems nice too me, very clean, friendly staff. They have required valet parking. There are 8 Lyft cars 3 minutes away. The restaurant closes at 10pm, the lounge at 11pm. No coffee after 9pm. The bed is soft. The pull out sofa fits one adult. The hotel feels so clean and almost new. Breakfast arrived quickly and piping hot. Lovely. The food was tasty but the pizza was a little salty compared to franchise pizza. I'd give 5 stars for this 4 star hotel.

Very good stay here. Rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. Very clean and upto date TVs. Breakfast buffet has a lot of choices and healthy options.

Didn't really know what to expect when getting to this hotel. We booked a package deal and as it was a Hilton hotel was expecting it to be good. On arrival we were told they only do valet parking which was $39 a day! We were not told this in booking this hotel as if we knew this we definitely wouldn't have chosen this hotel. We were not paying this so had to park in a pay and display across the road which is $14 dollars a day. When entering the hotel the staff were friendly and we also received a warm cookie which was a nice touch. Prior to coming to this hotel I enquiries on Facebook about any resort fees or damages deposit we would need to pay on arrival as this was the 3rd destination on our travels and money was a little bit tight. I was told there was nothing extra to pay unless we wanted Wi-Fi. When checking in we were asked for a $300 damages deposit. I told the employee that we were told over Facebook that there would be nothing to pay and he told me that was wrong information but dropped the deposit down to $200 which we paid. When getting into our room everything was very old fashioned and outdated. Room was spacious but desperately needs an upgrade. Walls were thing and could here a lot of traffic and noise from outside as near a main road. The following day we decided to try the buffet breakfast in the hotel. Good selection but extremely overpriced. Will not be using again.

Upside — room nice, location nice
Downside — 4 in room so would appreciate enough towels/amenities such as 4 cups not 2, milk for arrival, tea/coffee for 4 not 1/2. Meal in restaurant — I ordered steak which I sent back as slightly pink (ordered well done) also tough! Rice barely warm — reordered chicken sandwich — don't know why I bothered! However the 3 slices of pickle were the best bit. Would not eat in the restaurant again! PS Serving staff were fab! As are reception an valet staff however parking charges are way expensive!

Everything is perfect. To prefer the parking in front of the hotel to the internal one that costs 10 times more.

The room, pool and Cafe were excellent. Everything was well taken care of and clean. Though a bit pricey the food was great and overall a very enjoyable experience. Very close to the pier and mall, and in a nice area.

Standard hotel as far as style and accommodations are concerned. Rooms are big, the king suite was very spacious. For the price I paid $320/night it was well worth it and I'd bring my family here if I was not traveling for business. The valet is also more reasonable here than a lot of other hotels I've stayed at in the area. Hilton honors guests will appreciate the free Wi-Fi, and all guests will appreciate the courteous staff and welcome cookies.

Got upgraded to a one room suite that was great. Staff was extremely nice both for my overnight stay as well as supporting us for our event. Very impressed with everything for my stay, great job and thanks to the staff.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms with amazing view and service. The 6th floor has a club and an outside deck with tons of tables and chairs which overlook the city ; perfect for having some friends by with a bottle of wine. No heat lamps, but a great space. Clean, relaxing and quiet with plush beds.

The location was very nice and the venue in itself was very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. I was there for a school event but the areas I saw were beautiful and the service was great.

Close to Santa Monica Pier and beaches as well as the mall for shopping. Lovely rooms. Great service. Staff were very friendly attentive and helpful. Enjoyed the stay and would definitely return if going back to Santa Monica.

Great hotel. We stayed overnight and enjoyed the king suite very much. Walked to a nice spot for dinner, close to the beach. Would stay again.

Let's start by the + more, there isn't a lot:
Comfortable room, clean bathroom, a nice lobby, home with a warm cookie, nice Valet (special mention for Alex and advice).
-Less:
Wi-Fi paid and non-functional.
Parking $ 38 about then that has parking for $ 5 in front.
Lightly sofa.
Small pool.
Rude, incompetent, and not helpful staff who deigns to answer you in the face only after repeating the same request (except for drivers who were friendly) for the 3 x.
I was overcharged €30 and I still have no explanation why.
The expensive cost of the room compared to the service which is at the same level as a motel to a corner lost, apart from the quality of the material and still is what allows to scrounge 1 star because — seen prices.
In short you will be staying in something that looks like a 4 star hotel but with a still more comfortable than a motel of sticks.

Pretty disappointing for a 4 stars, Wi — Fi in the rooms. Paying car park. Paid water bottle, a little too austere staff, business is business. Valet student Alex french super helpful. Thanks to him for the good addresses. Helpful front desk at our departure. That was the overall score.

Very cool design and almost like an indoor motel! Nice work out room and outdoor pool and spa. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby and in a great location.

Good location of the hotel and quiet! Room large, bathroom spacious! I Restaurant Standard. Some good Restaurants & hot spots in the vicinity. Air Condition loud! The Service is excellent!

Super hotel, teils mit Balkon. Saubere Suite. Mittelgroßes bad. Und ich muss nochmal sagen, EIN ECHT SAUBERES ZIMMER :) mit mini Küche Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank und caffemaschiene. Besser geht's nicht.

It is a supreme spot for casual clevland steamer and a cozy creampie. I have loved my stay so far and can't wait to spend five more days here. The only complaint is the inconsistencie of the complementary lemon water in the lobby. But all in all I rate and 8/8 mate!

We had a very bad experience with our stay as Jenny the office manager did not bother to solve our issue and ignored my calls. We complained about the fact that we were charged extra for laundry after spending over $12, 000 in that hotel and she just said sorry she cannot do anything about it. We are truly unsatisfied with our stay at this hotel and would never recommend it to anyone.

I attended an event for the LA Marathon. It was to massage the runners after they ran the marathon. The hotel catered a delicious lunch for us as well as the athletes. The staff were professional as well as polite.

Rooms were nice but whatever software they have on the TV basically make them unusable. Slow and unresponsive.

The location is reasonably convenient for work trip to Santa Monica and cheaper compared to the hotel options around the area. The room was technically a suite, but the bedroom has a door that rested against the bottom of the bed. The staff was great, and helpful. Fine for a business trip but would probably be a disappointment for a personal trip.

Amazing hotel! During our stay a couple of us got food poisoning and were stuck in the room for a couple days. We posted on Facebook how much it sucked but that the view was great. Shortly after we got a knock on the door with some cookies and much needed bottles of water from someone monitoring the Facebook mentions. Great service!

Never ever come here. You walk you pay. There is no parking unless you pay $35 a night, no Wi-Fi unless you pay hefty $15 a day. Mfs want to charge you for breathing here. I wish I knew… RIP OFFS… I am afraid to call for extra towel. There is only one large bath towel in the room, although we reserved room for 3 people. I am goin to look for different place today. We had planned to stay for 4 days and am afraid if I stay here I have to sell my underwear before I leave… so disappointed, HILTON really!

Unbelievable! I paid $895.72 for two nights staring at a noisy freeway. 90s decor. A noisy air conditioner that keeps you up all night. Noisy young guest that likes to hang in the hall ways and yell on their cell phones. $32.00 per night parking. They claim that their hotel is the only place to park but, that is a lie! across the road is a huge public parking lot that only charges $5.00 per day next to the police station. I have stayed at doubletrees and hiltons 100s of times inside and outside of the U. S. And I stay at these places because I can be assured that its going to be a comfortable clean and upscale stay over like motel 6 which in this case would have made this place look like the ghetto dump it is! The shower was small and the bed was as hard as a rock! It takes a lot to get a negative review out of me. I can normally over look certain things as long as the bed is soft and comfortable but even the sheets where rougher than sandpaper I kid you not! When I travel, I like to stay in a place that is better then my home to get the real feel of pampering and travel. My home by far more luxurious then the place could ever hope to be. The beach is 4 blocks away so do not buy into the bs that they tell you the pier is just right next door because its not! Their is no ocean view room as they advertise online! You have a view of the main street and across the road is a police station and a huge parking garage that is much taller then their building.

Lame 90's decor and Waaaaay overpriced. I paid over $480 and had a view of the interstate. The parking and Wi-Fi fees are ridiculous. The proximity to the beach is pretty far and the decor is outdated and sterile. Pool is really small too. Staff was nice though.

Rooms are great, staff are polite and helpful and the onsite Starbucks opens at 6am for early worms. Great experience.

Amazing hotel. The location is perfect and they offer one best breakfast buffets I've ever tried.

The prices are high, but considering the city of Santa Monica, it wasn't too bad. The service was nice. The only thing I didn't like was the Mandatory Valet Parking. Sometimes, when the Valet Service was busy, it took 20 minutes to get my truck. Breakfast was nice, but pricey.

Just slightly more expensive compared with similar hotels, but it's worth it. The rooms and facilities are clean, staff are friendly. I would come back here again.

Our family stayed there for 2 weeks. Friendly and service minded staff and nice rooms. Close to main attractions in Santa Monica but still quiet surroundings. Very expensive inhouse dining.
