Didn't really know what to expect when getting to this hotel. We booked a package deal and as it was a Hilton hotel was expecting it to be good. On arrival we were told they only do valet parking which was $39 a day! We were not told this in booking this hotel as if we knew this we definitely wouldn't have chosen this hotel. We were not paying this so had to park in a pay and display across the road which is $14 dollars a day. When entering the hotel the staff were friendly and we also received a warm cookie which was a nice touch. Prior to coming to this hotel I enquiries on Facebook about any resort fees or damages deposit we would need to pay on arrival as this was the 3rd destination on our travels and money was a little bit tight. I was told there was nothing extra to pay unless we wanted Wi-Fi. When checking in we were asked for a $300 damages deposit. I told the employee that we were told over Facebook that there would be nothing to pay and he told me that was wrong information but dropped the deposit down to $200 which we paid. When getting into our room everything was very old fashioned and outdated. Room was spacious but desperately needs an upgrade. Walls were thing and could here a lot of traffic and noise from outside as near a main road. The following day we decided to try the buffet breakfast in the hotel. Good selection but extremely overpriced. Will not be using again. Overall the location is good for the beach but I would certainly not stop in this hotel again.
