The elevators are ridiculous, took 10 minutes to get to our room. After that train wreck we wanted to go to the bar to get a drink, she said they were fully committed and didn’t serve hotel guests regardless if they are fully booked, Wtf? We then tried to order a bottle, no show to our door. Then we took our car out of valet to go and get wine at a BevMo and ordered wine glasses, took 40 minutes to get them. They charge you a $25 resort fee that goes to NOTHING. On top of it you also have to pay $55 a night to valet. Not impressed at all. Service is simply awful at this hotel.

First time staying at this hotel and it is beautiful! The staff is so nice and friendly. The services and the rooms were so beautiful will definitely come back for another stay!

This hotel is just a walk away from Santa Monica Beach, very clean and comfy rooms, kind staff. I'd definitely book it next time, I visit Santa Monica.

Amazing hotel, spotlessly clean, beautiful room very stylish and the service was second to none, a complementary bottle plus a platter of cheeses bread Pickles and Olives sent to our room on arrival, and the Penthouse Restaurant/bar had spectacular views, would deffinately stay again.

One of the cleanest, nicest hotels I’ve been in… and with character to boot! Crown moulding, comfy beds, nice linens (bed & bath + robes), turndown service with chocolates & water… just a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere altogether. This will definitely be my go-to in Santa Monica.

The staff has been incredible and we were a bit picky. They accommodated us and were very friendly. The hotel has been beautiful remodeled the last two years. And if your planning a beach trip the location could not be better.
The little touches of the hotel really made the difference for us. Coming from a city full of hospitality we know a thing or two. Las Vegas makes us have high expectations and this hotel and its staff have been a joy.

Very spacious suite, thoughtful amenities, awesome view.

I will never be able to say enough positive things about the staff here. Top of the line and best in the industry. Extreme welcoming, educated, patient and professional. It felt like a family the way they all synched with each other and it shows. A plus is they care about the neighborhood they do business in.

I've traveled here for work and in the past 2 years a lot if the amenities seem to be updated in the room. A lot of fancy lighting and added coffee which is small but it goes a long way. I enjoy my stay there and the penthouse bar always offers a cool location to meet people for a drink or two.

Stayed here just one night. The service was great, lovely decor throughout and everything you'd want in a hotel room including very nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, bar soaps. There were a few small signs of wear and tear on the room, but overall it was a very high standard. The bed was a bit too soft for me, and I prefer a slightly softer mattress so that was surprising. IPad by the bed for room service and hotel info was pretty neat but I couldn't out how to turn off the screen so I put it face down on the bedside table. I wish the hotel had a spa, that was the only thing I felt was lacking but perhaps it's not expected at a boutique hotel. It's within two blocks of the beach front (though a much longer walk to actually get to the beach since you're up on a cliff), and a couple blocks to the 3rd Street promenade. I liked the location. The restaurant at the top of the building was very nice, delicious food but quite busy even for a Sunday night. I would get a reservation in the future. Overall I would stay here again and recommend it.

We had an excellent experience at this hotel! The staff was amazing. We stayed there for a wedding. Stefan, who took care of things in the cafe / coffee shop / snack bar was AWESOME! He was TERRIFIC with my 84 year old mother in law — helping her get her coffee and special cake each morning. He also helped out with our bike expedition / rental. He ran around like a real pro — doing everything with excellence. He also was an A++ conversationalist — never a dull moment with Stefan! His World Cup knowledge was over the top. He is a big France fan and here's a shout out to FRANCE winning the 2018 World Cup! I couldn't be happier for France and Stefan. Stay in this hotel if at all possible. You will be glad you did. The valet guys and the ladies who cleaned our rooms were amazing. We will be talking about our experience with Stefan and The Huntley for years to come. Rik Lovett, Raleigh, N. C.

Food is spectacular. The views are excellent during the day. Fun dance floor very eclectic crowd. Food has a wonderful flavor and the chef is obviously well trained. Very well informed servers.

Beautiful hotel. Best I've ever stayed in. The only thing that's missing is a pool, but since it's mostly business stays it sort of makes sense. Close to the beach. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms are quiet, clean and just beautiful.

Amazing interior decor and fantastic views of Santa Monica Bay along with the scrumptious and overwhelmingly delicious array of Fine Foods. Beautifully manicured interior designs on Company by amazing dishes that not only look fantastic but tastes mouth-watering. We enjoyed every single item that we ordered it will be back again soon this is now one of our favorite spots.

Fantastic hotel at an unbeatable location. The rooms are spacious and have all amenities one expects during your stay. The restaurant at the top overlooks the beach and has a gorgeous view of the nearby montains. Parking maybe a challenge if anything, but otherwise a great place while visiting Santa Monica.

Our limo driver took our party there and we had a good time. The hotel is beautiful. There is plenty of helpful staff. We didn't have to wait for anything. I recommend it.

I only had breakfast in their top floor restaurant. Great food. Great views. I loved it.

The views are incredible and the happy hour specials were reasonable. I was ordering $4 Stella Artois and was pleasantly supprised with the bill at the end of the evening. The service was a little slower than I would like, but nothing terrible.

We always enjoy our time at The Penthouse at Huntley. I love the decor, (all white, so clean) service, we go there for brunch, I love the view of the beach. We always make reservations, once we did not and the wait was so long we eventually left (I learned from that experience) They offer valet parking. They are expensive, however I don't mind. I simply love the view and the food is not bad, it is always fresh and the service is excellent. We will continue to dine at The Penthouse at the Huntley. I highly recommend the dinning experience!

The restaurant was insanely good. Our table for four was seated around 6:15 and there was plenty of room. By 7 it was packed and by 8:30 it was swarming. The food was absolutely delicious. We shared truffle fries and I started with a salad which was excellent but a bit larger than I expected. One person got scallops and I tried it, wishing I ordered them but then I tasted my in-bone Delmonico steak and was blown away. Nothing was average. All excellent. And the view of the ocean was fantastic at sunset.

Horrible hotel. The staff was not prompt, they took so long to attend to your request. The room was okay — initially looks good until you look closer and see the dirty curtains/ old windows. We had to call numerous times because the shower stopper came out and started leaking. The patio at the top was packed and horrible for a romantic date night (as advertised) but instead its pretty much a loud club bar. Overall — meh I wont be coming here again.

Hip, cool hotel that's very close to the beach. Aesthetic of lobby and restaurant are very calming depute the more edgy vibe they are going for. Guest room was spacious for a 3 night stay with my husband. Front desk employees were not overly friendly or welcoming but they stay was nice. Pro-tip — valet parking was on the pricey side so just used the parking structure one street over for half the cost.

Amazing place near the beach and many restaurants. The rooms are decorated super nice. The service did not speak, super cute all the employees. The gym is very small but you have to Santa Monica beach nearby with the "Outdoor gym. "

The penthouse bar male bartender on Sunday wasn't very good, and a lot of my fellow friends agreed. They also closed at 11pm when there were a lot of people in there. The rooms however were very clean and nice! Beds were comfortable, a little noisy in the morning with deliveries.

It is a very good location and good staff.

We stayed at the Huntley for a wedding. We were there two nights. The room we had was either humid or freezing cold. The windows in the bedroom were full of water or moisture. We called maintenance they said nothing was wrong. Our toilet became clogged they came and gave us the plunger to unplug it. They never cleaned the room. When we left we made sure it was ok to clean. But when we got back it was put in privacy mode. So they did not come in. Food was expensive in the penthouse but we knew it was going to be. After we left I became ill do to the temperature problem in the room. We also asked what the cost was for the room. When we checked out. They charged 25.00 for wii fi. And 45.00 taxes. Per day. The positive thing was the beds were comfortable and the shower was great.

Dined at the Penthouse… terrific happy hour drinks, wonderful views and fantastic food. Roasted veggies and fish were perfect!

The Penthouse has a decent atmosphere if you like the urge to wear a sport coat. Drinks weren't overly expensive for the location and there was no cover.

Great hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, and all of the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Carlos gave us lots of great advice of things to see and do in the area. We're already booking a trip to go back in the summer. We had an excellent stay.

The Penthouse is a fun place to celebrate. Fun drinks, good food. Nice views. Lighting in some places is quite dim at night, making it hard to read the menu.

Beautiful, chic, and comfortable rooms. We were just below the restaurant on the 17th floor, so you could hear a bit of footfall noise. It wasn't too bothersome though. I'd definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The staff is extremely professional and accommodating. This hotel pays attention to every detail. Every staff member you walk by greets you and genuinely smiles. The shampoo and soap in the hotel rooms are Bvgari! The bed side water they leave for you every night is Voss. They provide car service if you need to get anywhere. It is also located very close to everything you want to see in Santa Monica! This hotel made my first experience to California wonderful. Hands down, I will be repeat customer when I come back! -Andrea.

It was absolutely beautiful. All of the staff that I encountered were pleasant. They accommodated in every way possible. The food was amaizing. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone anytime.

The Huntley is a luxury hotel in the heart of Santa Monica, which also has a fantastic Happy Hour from 4pm-7pm. Visit The Penthouse restaurant for the best views of the Pacific Ocean and downtown Santa Monica. If you can, grab a seat by the window in one of the curtained cabanas. My favorite items are the charcuterie platter, calamari and truffle fries. Enjoy cocktails while you watch the sunset!

The atmosphere and food was amazing. I got there just after sundown and the view was gorgeous. The scallops I ordered were perfectly done and the drinks were great. Parking is particularly expensive though.

We arrived looking like tourists in tees and pants, no reservation. The hostess was super friendly, we mentioned we were on honeymoon and was seated in a perfect window seat to watch the sunset. We were promptly served 2 glasses of bubbles on the house which blew us away. Our waiter, sommelier and runner were amazing. We had intended to just have a glass of wine and a snack but ended up having 6-8 sharing plates and a bottle of Californian Point Noir. Such a treat for 2 tired boys just arrived from New Zealand. Thank you Huntley Hotel you rock.

The room was fantastic and check in was a breeze. The hotel is a quick 5 minute walk to Ocean Boulevard with the actual beach being another 5 to 10 minutes away. I had breakfast at the hotel on the top floor with sweeping views of the city. The food was delicious and the service was great. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Santa Monica.

Located a block from the beach. Nice bar/restaurant on the top floor. Modern style. Clean. Great TV. Was able to watch a movie that was still in theatres. A ton of shopping and eating.

We went to a wedding at a nearby beach club and a lot of us stayed at the Huntley Hotel. Great location. Great service. A lot of fun people were there also, one couple asked for dinner suggestions and it quickly became a group of 7 or 8 suggesting many excellent options. Finishing off with comparisons to Northern California styles of restaurants and foods. We had a good time.

Positives — the location is great and room with nice views. I definitely would not recommend for families. We stayed with our two young girls on 19th floor. Kept awake all night by loud bar directly above and the following night a DJ played till 1am. Why they would put a family in that room I have no idea. No facilities to take children anywhere except in the room — bought a glass of wine at loud bar and ended up sitting in our room! A hotel that caters for a certain clientele, but not families.

Service is super, from the valet's (although extremely expensive! ) to bellhop's, front desk to maid service, their customer service sets a high bar… with the exception when calling for maintenance, who never fixed the faulty HVAC during our entire stay. But as you walk around the public spaces, you can't help notice some wear and tear on a few of the fixtures, carpets, walls, and so on. The design of the lobby and hallways has a strange aesthetic, resulting in a very dark ambience. The rooms are holding up much better, but still could use a little freshening up. There's a coffee shop on the premises, but seems nobody patronizes. Maybe everyone would rather go for a short walk to Starbucks (including myself). The penthouse restaurant experiences leaks during a rain… definitely needs some repairs. For the price I can't recommend. There are better options in the area.

Relatively nice, rooms are fine — — but not really luxurious. But there are some odd quirks that make the stay somewhat uncomfortable: there are motion-activated lights under the bed, that don't have a switch, and turned themselves on and off all night, the toilet is oddly too high (I'm 6'1" and can't put my feet flat on the ground while sitting), and service is friendly but mediocre — we had an issue with our bathroom, and they said they'd send someone up immediately to fix it. When we got back 3 hours later, no one had come yet. Also, parking is $39/night, and there's no overnight street parking available (though there are some cheaper lots). It's not a bad hotel, although for the price I might stay elsewhere next time (my experiences at Le Meridien have been better).

The Huntley staff has been very accommodating and professional. The lobby and penthouse are both beautiful and comfortable environments to relax and have a conversation. Our room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

This place has the view and food to match. Great for parties and dates alike. If you're in the mood for brunch, i'd hope you were smart enough to show up here. Its only on the top floor of a hotel… overlooking the beach. Service is beyond. Drinks are classy, delicious, and worth it.

Over all, it was a great experience. The staff is fantastic but the room itself need some attention to detail. There was very little countertop space in the bathroom since the sink was a floating style, wall mounted sink. The shower had a top down shower head along with a spray wand, but there was no way to use one without the other. I suspect one of the valves was meant to control this but it actually popped off to the wall when I tried to turn it. The room was spacious but not well designed. It could use another piece of furniture or two. The location can't be beat and again, the staff were amazing. I would definitely return.

I've attended many professional seminars here. The staff remember me and always have my favorite dunk ready. All without me asking. Really nice!

The Huntley is Hotel excellence. Really deserves the 5 for the modern contemporary style with sweet toned rooms, and excellent views. My room was delightful and the hotel staff very attentive. The top floor has a Penthouse Restaurant with breathtaking views of the Ocean and Santa Monica. I had a very nice stay and will stay here the next time I visit.

Dinner at the Penthouse restaurant was amazing. The service was great and the food was delicious. We had a window table looking over Santa Monica and the view alone made the dinner worth it.

Two elevators up and down were a bit small. Great penthouse, great view, great drinks, great dj the night I came in. A bit of dancing, talking, and hanging out until 130am. Will be back. Valet was available but plenty of street parking too.
