I’m currently here in my room in tears as I’m writing this review. Please if you have toddlers please do not stay here, well over all don’t stay here. I been mistreated and humiliated just because the guess under us keep saying we are making loud step noises. I recieved about 3 phone calls, one visit by the security guy and a call from the front desk supervisor. I was told by the manager (Rachel) to control my kids and is 10:00 pm so they should be in bed since is past bed time. I explain I have 4 year old twins and there were not being over the top but the flooring is very thin. She keep asking me what to do to helped me but at the same time she keep telling to control my kids. The security guy (Tony) who came and told me to control my kids give her the feed back that he saw how I couldn’t control my kids. I did said “switch my f#%*n room” which she did asked me not to cuz. She told me that the only way to switch rooms was if there was something wrong with my room but it was obvious the room was not the problem it was me and my kids and if the complains continue she was gonna asks to leave without a refund. What supposed to be a nice family trip now it has become stressful. Never will I stay here again.

I had an issue, Shuki handled it and made me feel much better. I will be back for sure. The location is pretty convient as well.

Solid hotel with nice, friendly staff.

Great hotel! Close to lots of fun activities and restaurants. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, got to stay in the executive suite with a HUGE balcony, outdoor couch and wet bar. It just needs a TV for football season! Can't wait to come back!

Perfect location. Clean. Excellent staff. Comfortable beds and rooms. Quiet and safe. Would certainly stay again. Shopping next door.

It was a great location and the huge hotel offered so much more than what we payed for. A dream come true. Excellent rooms for the servicio.

Great location but watch out for some ridiculous pricing. I've stayed here at least 20 times in the last year and there's a lot to love about it. They location is stellar with access to the above-ground train, rental bikes, plenty of those stupid scooters and it being only a few blocks from the Santa Monica pier. The rooms are good to great depending on if you get a balcony. However, pricing can be all over the map. I've stayed here for as little as $200 and as much as $500. Most recently, the latter and I was pretty infuriated. It was a normal weeknight and upon checking in I found out. Fortunately, it was a business trip but had I known upfront I would have moved to another hotel. This location is definitely not worth $500. $350 would be my max justification.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. And we just loved the smart TV in the room. We got to continue bindgewatching our favorite Netflix show.

Very bad experience. Supervisor Sergio was very rude and racist he gave our room to someone else. We have small kid with us. My reservation shows that we can check in until 2 am and we came at 1 am and at that time they gave our room to someone else. He even didn’t bother to give us other room as curtesy as we have small kid with us.

Right across the street from the terminus of the Expo Light Rail line. It's just 3 blocks to Ocean Avenue. The decor is inviting, the staff friendly and helpful, and free maps to explore Santa Monica. They have free Wi-Fi and a coffee shop serving sandwiches, beers, coffees and juices right off the lobby with plenty of seating both there and in the main lobby to plan your beachy days.

Everything good. They just charge a lot for parking. You can find nearby lots for much cheaper.

Took my family on a west coast vacation Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, LA, Beverly Hills, Hollywood stayed in a hotel in each but Santa Monica Marriott had the friendliest and professional staff made my family feel like we were at home…

This hotel was so modern and chic. I loved the staff. Billy the GM took great care of us. The hotel is close to the train, but you'd never know. The roof top pool and fire place was a added bonus. I lived being in walking distance to the pier.

Clean rooms. Friendly service. TV was not working when we arrived, the situation was quickly resolved. Workout area was non functional. All in all it was a good place to stay.

Nice hotel, rooms are nice, shower is great, and staff courteous. Then I had someone above me keep me up all night stomping around, rolling in a chair, slamming doors, and came to find out hard floors are a liability for hotels, as I didn't sleep a wink. Make sure to get something on the top floor here if staying or you will be sorry…

About 5 blocks from the beach, directly overlooking the metro station, the Courtyard was a decent place to stay. The hot tub was not functional when I stayed and the upstairs pool was tiny, and also out of order. The rooms were clean and nice. The staff seemed friendly and professional. Would have rated higher, but the hot tub was a deciding factor in the choice of hotels.

The Courtyard in Santa Monica is the perfect hotel when in Santa Monica for business or vacation. Close to everything… the beach and Santa Monica Pier, shopping on 3rd Street Promenade, bike riding and yoga, farmers markets, … there is something to do every day. The Metro is at your doorstep for day trips in to LA. The hotel is fresh and modern with all the amenities you need. The staff make you feel welcome and are there to make your stay special. I love coming back after the day at work, relaxing, working out or heading down to the beach to watch the sunset. Thank you for making each day special!

Great experience at this hotel. Parking is a snap with valet (nightly fee), there is a rooftop terrace with pool and hot tub, nice social areas, onsite laundry, and three blocks to the Pacific Ocean! Nearly anything you would want is within walking distance. The staff is very nice, and our partaking attendant Andre was awesome and took great care of our jeep! Thank you courtyard for a most wonderful stay.

Friends stayed there (and loved it) and we visited and loved it. High ceilings made rooms feel spacious. GREAT location!

Great hotel, very new construction, however there TVs can be heard from your next door neighbor's room. Also no T-Mobile cell service in the rooms. Diego at the front counter is the MAN!

It's a clean cheap and cheerful hotel with a good location. Spent a week here for work and the place is fairly new, with cheap plastic hollow feeling furniture. The hotel has no warmth or character and suits business travellers. It's directly opposite the train and walking distance from the pier and 3rd Street so that's a bonus. It's not a bad hotel, just not a good one either. Side note, the showers all suck. My company has over 20rooms booked and everyone says water pressure and temperature are terrible. I hate bad showers in this day and age.

This is a very new hotel that has plenty of usb and electric plugs to charge all of your electronics. Nice and clean. You can get beer and breakfast here. There's no bar. The location is about 3 blocks from the SAnta Monica Pier and the downtown shopping promenade.

Stayed 3 nights over the weekend. The room was nice and the lobby had very nice furnature. I liked the laminate flooring in the rooms too. The water pressure was low in all of the sinks (we had 3 rooms) and the hotel did not recognize that we had switched our reservation from 2 nights to 3 a week upon arriving. However the location was pretty close to the pier and shopping and very close to the metro stop. Cant beat that.

Great location, only a few blocks from the water and nightlife. The hotel is extremely clean with comfortably sized rooms. The staff is also very accommodating. It's one of the more modern Courtyard locations with plenty of outlets for business, large smartTVs and clean design. I was a bit disappointed in the lack of an outlet next to the bed but there was USB; however, I only brought an AC adapter and that was a nuisance so don't forget to bring yours. The gym is pretty good but I haven't checked the pool. Onsite valet and parking is nice considering there's no nearby free parking. It's also right across the street from the local subway/train so that's a really great option if you want to skip driving. The Bistro is good but it's a more limited menu than most Courtyard locations so be aware.

Very nice hotel clean and modern style Front desk service is good but not very helpful for check-in and out early or late seems like they only want to follow the rules and help provide solution to customer's Overall good hotel and very clean 5 min walk to santa Monica pier.

The location was great, near the peer and near the shopping center, lots of restaurants to choose from. Everything in walking distance. Pricy hotel what can you expect. Even more pricy parking but we avoided that by parking in an over night parking garage just down the street. I would definitely stay here again. Service was good/usual Marriott service, rooms were very clean as well.

Is this place over priced? exorbitantly. Is parking a rip off at $42 a day? absolutely. But you know this before you book a room so if that is a concern then don't stay here. What I didn't like about the place was the noise. For being a brand new building they did a poor job on sound proofing. The cars, trains, and sirens on the street sound like they are in your room. People walking and talking in the hallways sounds like it is someone right next to you. The AC sounds like a freight train is about to hit you. Someone just walking normal on the floor above you sounds like a full 5 on 5 game of basketball it going on. The water pressure at the sink and showers was a super low. When I checked in I thought I was in a foreign country as I was only able to understand a few words here and there of what was said. It still has that new room smell is about all that I can say good about it. Oh, texting the valet to get your car was nice too.

Went to meet friends that were staying there. The location is great, near the metro line and blocks from the beach/pier. Also, it's close to the promenade. Nice and clean hotel and lobby. Nice employees, real friendly.

The location is wonderful, close to the pier, shops and good restaurants. The decor is really good, very modern. The staff are really quite useless, it's as if they haven't been trained and housekeeping was totally useless and could not understand English. The room was comfortable and modern but we awoke to hundreds ants in the morning, not pleasant. There was a Keurig coffee machine in the room which was great but the coffee supplies was truly meagre. A small thing that makes a huge difference to your experience. This is a new hotel so hopefully they will train their staff and fix the small things. One really cool feature of this hotel is they have free bicycles for the use of guests, great way to explore Santa Monica!

The location is great since it is around a lot of great spots like Umami Burger, Mon Roll Sushi, and many more. The rooms are decent but isn't the most spacious. We had a decent view of the street but that was all. Didnt order room service but the people at the front desk were friendly.

Great vacation hotel with your family. Walking distance to the Santa Monica pier. It is a very wonderful area although letting your children walk through the city alone would not be a good idea.

Everybody that works there is friendly and was able to answer all of my questions. I had zero problems. My living area for the day was clean and tidy. Overall, I was very satisfied with my visit.
