Excellent hotel in perfect location, rooms stylish and clean with great balcony’s, only downside was no bikes available even though we pre booked them in advance.

Location, location, location! We enjoyed the convience of being close to everything we wanted to do. The hotel was clean and modern. The pools were awesome and Marilyn was a great waitress at the poolside restaurant. We will stay here when we return to Santa Monica!

Great staff, awesome location, beautiful rooms. Pool side bar is crazy expensive but it comes with the turf. Great restaurants just around the corner, liquor store within a minute walk. Great place, 5 stars. It’s our new go to in Santa Monica.

I have to give props to Jesse who checked me in today. My arrival was off to a rocky start however his transparency, compassionate attitude and just caring nature has made this a 5 star experience. Finding team members like him is extremely rare. Hope management realizes the gem they have in their hands. Absolutely recommend this place.

Had a wonderful stay. The staff were amazing. They went above and beyond and even allowed us to eat in the court yard and park our car after our stay was over.

Enjoyed my stay can’t wait to go back. The room was beautiful and the ocean view was more than I was expecting. I was able to have the sliding glass door open and listen to the sound of the waves. I even brought home the stuffed octopus from the towel rack. Great job Shore Hotel.

The service here was absolutely terrible from the moment we walked in. After telling us our room was unavailable and we'd have to wait, they offered us champagne in coffee paper cups, but never gave them to us, you'd think they'd hand them over immediately. I had to ask for them 3times bc what started as a hopes for an early check-in around 2:30pm, seeing that due to Covid restrictions they can only reserve a percentage of the rooms, our room was unavailable and we sat there that long. I was not about to take my elderly parents anywhere else because 1. Covid and 2. My father can barely walk. We didnt actually get into a room, which looked half-ass cleaned btw, when we walked in around 5:20PM! Our whole plans just ruined for the night. I can go on and on, but this "family owned" according to the woman behind the desk, needs major customer service improvement. Not once did they come over to check on us. Terrible! Was glad we left immediately the following day! NEVER AGAIN nor will I recommend!

What a wonderfully located, family friendly yet hip hotel along Ocean Ave. Very clean, extra precautions taken with the health of their guest in mind during this pandemic. Overall it’s a great boutique hotel.

Beautiful hotel with great amenities and prime location. We had our dog with us and was having a hard time finding a hotel that would allow pets. They welcomed us and our pup! Will definitely return!

Nice location and nice employees.

We checked in early and didn’t have a full ocean view that we paid for. Called the desk and she immediately upgraded and moved us to a much better beautiful view of the ocean.!

Arrived by shuttle and were greeted by two of the best porters tony and danny, super helpful with more than just the bags, room was large and well appointed with a super comfortable bed and spacious bathroom.
hotel is 1 min from pier and handy for everything else.
Kids loved the pool and spa and made good use of it.

Hosted an event in the Green Room and Poolside. Perfect setting for an event. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

I didn't have one of their premier rooms, but the small room I was in was comfortable. I could see the beach and feel the breeze. The pool was heated and they had a nice bar nearby.

Great location! Clean and well equipped hotel. Randall made our first/last contact with the hotel memorable with a glass of bubbly and chocolates. Will be back next time we’re in Santa Monica.

Very comfortable rooms, and the staff is incredible! We had a garden view room which was quaint, but noisy if the sliding glass doors was open but absolutely quiet with it closed! Beds were comfortavle and the rain type shower unique. Pool bar staff were great! Access to the beach, Santa Monica Pier and shops and restaurants incredibly convenient! Would definitely stay here again!

I recommend it highly. I was greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Every single person that works there was nice. The complimentary glass of champagne was perfect. It was a great experience.

It was fine, sea view is good but the location is right on the top busiest parts of Santa Monica which means very dense traffic, and the view of the beach is with a full car park in between and full of tourists from very early to very late at night, bringing noise and loads of rubbish with it. Concierge and staff are nice but they don't seem to know much about the area, they just want you to tell them what to do, but suggestions are off the table. We walked in ones and there was only staff in the lobby, they didn't see us so one burped very loudly with a laugh of all of them after it. That's the level we felt in the hotel which doesn't go according to the price and the elegance they sell. The pool is facing the front side which makes it uncomfortable, homeless and characters get closer to yell and express themselves at anytime. The design of it makes the pull are have shade in many parts during the day and together with the size of it, which is small, makes it hard to enjoy. The loud music gets you out of the relaxation mode so we didn't use the pool more than one time or the busy dirty beach right at front. No help was followed by a look in our hand waiting for a tip, it's very intimidating/awkward. We don't recommended.

Very fun hotel. We were only able to stay one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The pool after dark was so amazing and relaxing. We enjoyed lounging on the pool furniture and soaking in the jacuzzi. We received nothing but exceptional customer service from everyone we encountered. You absolutely can’t beat this hotel in terms of location and easy access to the pier and beach.

I can't give a comprehensive review as I wasn't saying here, my brother was. I met him in the lounge which has good Wi-Fi and he and I hung out on his room's balcony eating the sushi I brought for us. The balconies are small but provide plenty of privacy in pleasant Santa Monica evenings.

Great prices for the area. Views are killer. Walking distance to the beach, peir, restaurants, and shops. Room was very comfortable, modern, and new. Air conditioner works very well. They brought us chocolate to our room as a welcome gift. Car rental place in the parking garage. Friendly staff!

The hotel is stunning. I’ve stayed at every high end hotel in Santa Monica and this is the only hotel that actually lives up to the images you see online. But the beauty of the room/view isn’t why I’m leaving a review… it’s because the staff were all SO incredible. Beyond accommodating… kind, nice and happy. It’s very refreshing to check in to such a fun group of people who genuinely care about your stay. Thanks to the beauty who checked me in! Honestly it was a great weekend! Will be back.

Noce warm swimming pool. Nice lobby. Watched a sunset from there. Not the best but beautiful anyway. Very comfortable room. No bathtub. Nice glass shower. While in the shower you can be watching across the room and outside from one side or the rest room from the other side… Can't see the point of such views while taking a shower except well. Why not. Staff a bit distant, good if you are seeking to be left alone.

I always love staying at the Shore Hotel. The staff is very kind and the location is great. Very close to the beach, boardwalk, and promenade. Many great bars and restaurants nearby. And the pool/hot tub is fantastic. Raul, the head bartender, is also great and makes amazing drinks if you want a nice evening at the hotel!

After a long day, which began after stepping off a red eye flight from Alaska, I was hoping that the pool area would not be full of loud people. For some reason, the way the pool area is set up — it’s not at all loud even with many people. Thoroughly enjoyed just relaxing, cocktails, and awesome piped music. Great rooms, great service.

Nice hotel in front of Santa Monica Pier. I left the car in the very well organized underground car park.

We stayed here for 1 night before our stay in the mountains and loved the hotel so much that we decided to book again for another night when we returned. Such a great location with close proximity to the pier and beach with great ocean views depending on the room. Our entire family enjoyed the accommodations and we would definitely stay again. The only downside to our stay was a somewhat rude and snippy bellhop (unlike the rest of the staff) but they were very busy so he may have been a bit frustrated.

Stayed here this pass weekend and I'd stay there again. My first trip to San Monica, hotel close to restaurant, & San Monica Pier. Clean hotel and front desk very helpful. Had a great view from the room of San Monica Pier. Asked for extra towels from house cleaning and delivered quickly. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

When you give with no strings attached as an altruist, you receive good thoughts and appreciation back. This is how I feel about Shore hotel, due to the fact that they have FREE electric car charging in their garage. Very convenient for me, because it's literally right on my way to work from Venice. The staff are friendly — never make you feel like you are an inconvenience. The building is built sustainably and is a gold class. And they offer free car charging for electric drivers. How can anyone say anything bad about Shore Hotel!

I always have a great time at the Shore Hotel. The rooms are really clean, staff is friendly, and the location is great. I only wish they had some sort of loyalty program for frequent patrons. I stay here whenever I'm in town.

Amazing hotel with water view. Waking up with a crisp breeze as you gaze out upon the ocean is unforgettable. The misty mountains slope into the ocean both North and South. On top of this, the service is excellent and the room is always in pristine condition. Cannot go wrong with this hotel.

Shore hotel is a great place. The lobby is super clean and very modern. It's right across the street from the Santa Monica pier which means there is tons to do. Great bars and restaurants right next door. A+.

Super Hotel direkt am Santa Monica Pier.

I recently stayed at the Shore Hotel from 13 August to 15 August and the time I checked in to the time I checked out the staff were not very pleasant to deal with and rather unhelpful. I have since returned to Australia only to discover that they have stolen money from my bank account and so far are refusing to give it back. After speaking to Tom, I am still none the wiser as to why they have stolen my money. By far this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Please don't waste your time and most importantly don't waste your money staying here.

UPDATED (was maybe a little harsh previously) … Currently staying here for 5 nights with my family. Hotel is nice, room with 2 large beds is pleasant and quite spacious. Location is amazing. I just find the hotel a little strange, I can't put it a better way. I've never been to a hotel of this quality where the only bar is a pool bar and you cannot get a drink after 10pm! Especially when in the US with kids as you cannot sit in a bar after dinner with them so hotels are good for relaxing after dinner, the only restaurant is the one around the pool that we didn't use.
Valet parking is expensive but the service good. Oh, the photo on the website of the pool is extremely deceiving, it's about the size of a postage stamp! Would like to give 5 stars but definitely not perfect, especially after spending £2, 500 for 5 nights room only. Staff are all pleasant and helpful. It's not a bad hotel and I'm not complaining about our stay, I just find the concept of no real bar and restaurant and a tiny pool a little strange.

The Shore is in a great location in Santa Monica steps from the pier and shopping, restaurants. The room I stayed in was nice and comfortable, if a bit odd. The see through shower and bathroom was weird until I discovered the electric shade. Loved the mid-air styling, and even without an ocean view, my balcony was a nice place to sit and decompress.

Ideal location, not only in terms of the immediate surroundings but also for getting to other parts of LA. The staff was professional and helpful. Everyone, and I mean every one of the staff members were super friendly. We upgraded to a premium room and were so glad we did. The view was amazing and we loved sitting on our balcony and taking in the scene. We will come back to this great hotel next year.

We stayed here just for one night and we wished we could've stayed for more days! The hotel was very new and clean, and the room was perfect. The staff was so nice and even gave my 2 little ones a beach bucket each filled with goodies when we checked in. They gave us an extra hour to check out so we could enjoy the beach longer. Ruben was super nice and left a great impression on all of us. We will definitely be returning and staying much longer. We will be recommending you to everyone we know! Thank you for being the sweet ending of our California trip!

I am still here and will be here for another week! I have stayed in many hotels but this fine hotel is very special! Let me start off with the "Green Hotel" aspect. I am a big believer in sustainability and this Hotel puts that right up there with the guest. From the hybrid elevators, to the solar heated pool, this place is GREEN! The staff goes above and beyond for us guests. Parking here is easy. The location is super central and perfect for someone who doesn't have a car or just wants to stay in Santa Monica/ Venice and stroll around. Bed — super comfortable (even on a bad back that has been pretty bad lately) Rooms — Good size for multiple people or nice and spacious for just one person. Food — Delicious food either down by the pool or ordered to the room. Overall this hotel is amazing and it feels nice staying somewhere, where they too care about what happens on the other end and behind the scenes.

An excellent option to stay, the rooms very clean and the service of the best, it is not very luxurious but it is comfortable… but the most important is its location.

Very nice and good hotel. Prices unfortunately a little high should be defiant which you offer a bit cheaper. Very close to the pier or to various excursions for Los Angeles.

Firstly, let me say that the valet and bellhop staff are definitely the best part of the hotel. They were very helpful and had great attitudes. Secondly, the view from the ocean view room is pretty good; but the rooms are VERY small for the price you pay. We had a number of errors made by the front desk staff from invalid billing items, to giving our room away on our wedding night causing us to sit in the lobby for over an hour in our wedding attire. They made an attempt to rectify this, but their attempts still fell quite short of where you would think a hotel would be for such egregious missteps. All in all, I don't think I'd stay here again; but I would preferably opt for a hotel with more feature-rich offerings for the same price.

Amazing! Here for business for the week. Upgraded my room upon check in complimentary, service is excellent, received a free glass of champagne at check in, room are gorgeous, and of course a view of the ocean is amazing!

I utilized the Shore Hotel for its public parking space and the hotel itself was really beautiful and clean. The parking lot was easy enough to navigate and the machine to pay for parking was efficient. Overall it was a great experience.

Had dinner pool side late on a Tuesday night. Not much of a wait staff with knowledge of the menu or drinks.

The shore hotel was great! It was a really secure hotel: you needed a key card to use the main bathroom and elevators. I feel confident that strangers won't walk around the hotel. The pool area is also amazing. I'm definitely coming back here.

Overall, a good stay. The room is very expensive, but the location is the attraction. The hotel is located right across the street from the Santa Monica Pier, walking distance to tons of shopping and great restaurants. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful.

Stunningly designed and decorated in a European influenced style. Designed for Leed certification, natural light throughout the guest rooms. Courteous staff, fantastic location walk to great restaurants, the pier, Santa Monica Place, night clubs, shops and of course the beach.

My friend was staying at the hotel for a few days on holiday so we traveled to see her for a few hours. Our plan was to have lunch and drinks by the pool while the kids swam. This turned out to be an almost impossible task. There were only scattered single seats available so my friend and I had to start asking people and carrying large lounge chair around on our own. There was no pool attendant to help. Which bring me to my next issue. We had to leave the pool and walk back in to the hotel lobby to ask if someone was going to come outside to staff the bar. It was about 15-20 minutes before anyone came. Then when they arrived we ordered 2 drinks (margarita, rocks with salt) and asked for a food menu. I looked on the menu and asked if there was anything for kids. They had nothing to offer. So we made due and ordered anyway since it was 12:30 by that time and the kids were hungry. We were the ONLY people who ordered a drink and that took 15 minutes and when it arrived we sent it right back because it had no salt and was the most sour drink that I have ever tasted. Then we got white wine just to make it easy and the glass arrived with lipstick on it. So we took that back right away. At that point the bartender did not immediately put it in a new glass but he left his station, did a few things outside the pool area and when he walked back in I looked at him and asked if our drinks were coming.

We had a fantastic stay at The Shore. The level of customer service was excellent. After a very long flight to LA from Australia, the hotel staff went out of their way to get us into our room well ahead of check in time so we could crash. Every request we made was met with enthusiasm and genuine interest. Our room (1 bed suite) was very modern and clean. The Shore was only built in 2011, so the decor is very contemporary. The location is fantastic, directly across the road from Santa Monica beach and a stroll to the Pier. LA tour buses leave just up the road, there are shops around the corner and great restaurants within minutes. Security at the hotel is very good. There is a lovely pool and sun deck and the separate outdoor spa is like a warm bath — very relaxing. We recommend this hotel unreservedly.

Beautiful and most accommodating. My girlfriend and I stayed here and found everything about it to be excellent. The concierge gave us welcome glasses of champagne that kicked off our outstanding stay. The view from this LEED gold certified building is amazing. The rooms are a great size. We stayed in a garden facing room that was perfect. The woman who checked us in (Julia) was lovely and gave us a ring 30 min into our stay and asked us how things were going. Every single person on staff was kind and most accommodating. We found ourselves trying to find a good enough excuse to extend our stay at this fantastic hotel.
