Super cool, unique boutique hotel in the heart of Juneau! We had a crew of six of us visiting for a trip to ski Eaglecrest Ski Area and had the best time. Great decor, comfortable beds, an amazing breakfast (and snack) selection, hot tub with an amazing view, and an incredibly friendly and accommodating staff — especially David. Will absolutely be visiting again.

Disappointed that winter rate is prominent displayed in the summer months on their web page. It shocked to learn the summer rate. I stayed two nights. Nice location. My view was not great.

Wonderful hotel. Thoughtful touches like extra towels for hot tub, European style buffet breakfast, friendly staff. Great base for exploring SE Alaska. Extended our visit to 4 nights.

Place smelled like diesel fuel the two days I was there. No food to cook for breakfast that I could find. The hotel doesn’t cook anything. I had a view of some people sitting in there office cubicles next door from my room. The hvac equipment made so much noise I hade to use earplugs to sleep that they provide! Nobody works the front desk. I had to call five times to get a receipt emailed. Your better off at Sheraton or Baronoff by far. This place is way overpriced $140.00 a night. In response to your response. There is no one that works at the front desk. There’s a phone at the front desk to call for help. It’s not an immediate response someone shows up in fifteen minutes but I had a taxi waiting. As far as the diesel fuel smell one of the employees at Silverbow. Mentioned it to me first saying it was coming up from the floor drain in the basement. She said the smell was coming up in other buildings on the block. I happened to be working on the building next door. No smell in there.

Guests went berserk late Friday night into Saturday! Zero sleep. Where was management? "Optional" housekeeping; radiator heat with no fan (good luck in the summer) ; inconsistent shower temp. ; TV audible through the walls.

THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN JUNEAU! I stayed here for a business trip and I had an excellent experience! The staff was incredibly helpful and was happy to accommodate peculiar requests. The bed was very comfortable. The Wi-Fi works perfectly (which you definitely don't find in all hotels) and it made it easy to stay caught up on work and everything. Lounging in the hot tub after a day of work was positively delightful and you get to "watch the world go by" from the deck that it sits on. It's close enough that you can walk anywhere but far enough from the bar scene that it's quiet. You can also walk down to the transit center and take the bus all the way out to the valley and beyond. The 24/7 snack bar was much appreciated. It felt like home away from home-but better! Oh, did I mention that there is a funky fireplace in their cute and quirky lobby?

ABOVE AND BEYOND I stayed here for 4 days. I don't even know where to start. Jill, Paige, David and the other staff members were all INCREDIBLE. Super homey place. Amazing free breakfast and coffee, a fresh baked cookies & hot cocoa happy hour daily (yes, really) and a gigantic jar of jelly beans and other treats for a late night snack. This place is the real deal! Here's the kicker — It was my birthday while I visited here. I had mentioned it in casual conversation while trying to find a fancy restaurant to celebrate. I came back to a Happy Birthday card from the Silverbow team, along with a gift wrapped box of sour patch kids! I don't know the next time I'll be in Juneau, but when that day comes, I know where I'll be staying. Thank you all so much for the stay. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very thoughtful with all of their amenities, the breakfast bar is very nice, wish the hot tub was open a little longer.

Cute little inn very conveniently located in the heart of downtown. Location really couldn’t be better. Service is good, the rooms are small but efficient. Interior of the rooms is a little dated, perhaps time for a refresh. Advice from the staff is excellent… there are printouts and binders of food places, things to do, etc. The breakfast offerings are a really nice touch too. I would certainly come back here. One warning though, this is an old building and you can hear every sound from your neighbors. The walls are really thin, so you’ll hear your neighbors’ morning conversations and routines, housekeepers doing their thing above you, and every other little noise. They do provide ear plugs on your nightstand, so it’s no secret the insulation is from another era.

Our home away from home in Juneau. What a wonderful little hotel! We could not have been more comfortable or felt more at home than we did at The Silver Bow. The location is wonderful, right downtown, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, museums and other sights in Juneau. Breakfast is included and is easy, fast and self-serve. Jill has thought of everything, and everyone on her team is thoughtful, friendly and attentive. We fell in love with Juneau and The Silver Bow. We're confident you will too.

Has a ton of character, and great attention to detail. Rooms are small, but make solid use of space. Would recommend.

Put a smile on your face with The Silver Bow! In downtown Juneau there is a cute little place you have to check out for a stay. This gem will surprise you. Smartly put together, the lobby is efficient and quaint. Dave, Stephanie, … are ready to assist with information or everything and anything at all. The breakfast bar was a great way to start your day. It's all there. From make your own waffles, fresh fruit, homemade quiche waiting for you on the hotplate, to yogurts and even hard boiled eggs prepackaged and ready to go. Up the tiny stairs and hallways you find your comfortable room. Inside, just a bed and bath, but there too, the best linens, robes, lotions and even a radio in the shower. On the rooftop, is a hot tub with some lounge chairs and tables to enjoy a partial view of the surrounding landscapes. We can't say enough about our experience there. They took our bad situation and turned it into a really really big smile! (waiting for the cruise ship to pick us up) Thank you to the Silver Bow staff from Trenton, Ontario Canada.

Great hotel. My mother stays here Everytime she comes to Juneau. IMO, much nicer than the Baranoff.

This place is great! Average rooms, but they have a great breakfast, tons of freshly made snacks throughout the day, a hot tub, and walking distance to so many great places to eat. Staff is great! I'll be back!

This Inn is so charming! I would stay here again — — there are a lot of little details (free breakfast and snacks, quirky room additions) that make it very pleasant. It is clean and friendly.

Yeah the bagels are good. The service is horrid. I'm sure it's exponentially better in the summer time but in the winter? Absolutely not. Oh. And the milk in my latte this morning curdled. Lovely.

The three times I visited Silverbow were pretty underwhelming. The first visit they didn't have any paninis. The second visit I ordered lox but the only bagels they had were cinnamon raisin. The third visit they had no bread. You're a bakery and you have no bread? Silverbow is the typical overpriced, under-supplied, lack of customer service restaurant that I have come to expect from Juneau.

I've been patronizing Silver Bow Bakery since 2006 and never had a single complaint until now. Went in today for a bagel and lox and found not only has the price increased to $10, but the size of the bagel has shrunk considerably. Choice of chips or carrots was always included. Now they are extra. 79 cents for a tiny back of white colored dried up carrots. The biggest surprise was when the bagel arrived at my table. Again, the bagel itself has shrunk at least 25%, but no lox were visable under the tomato. When I lifted the tomato and onion to check, there were small slivers of salmon covering less than half of the mini bagel. Unacceptable. I took the plate back to the front counter and had to repeat myself no less than 3 times that for $10, I expect the lox to cover the bagel. (The girl kept asking "so. You want more lox on the bagel? " I replied I want the amount of lox that is supposed to be on a $10 bagel. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the food is good. I left hungry and will not return unless the management decides to either raise the price but not reduce the size of the bagel or the toppings. Bad decision.

I've always been a huge fan of Silverbow. The rooms are cozy and clean, and you can walk to everything downtown from the hotel. The staff is friendly and they are locals who know what's going on around town to help you enjoy your visit. I like that a meal voucher is included with the room price. The food is very good, which is evident by the many locals who eat here frequently. Super excited to see the changes in the hotel lobby area.

Just ate there while on a cruise. Great food and free Wi-Fi. Nice to be away from the floating Econolodge.

WOW! The Silverbow folks epitomize hospitality at its best. The location can't be beat and breakfast is superb, including fantastic Kaladi Brothers coffee for your latte.

This plave is either hit or miss. I’ve been to the Silverbow Bakery three times. The first two times were good. I had thought I had found a new favorite lunch spot, until today. The soups listed on their board weren’t the soups they were serving today. I ordered a bowl of soup and a bagel. I heard their bagels are amazing, so I thought I’d try one. When my order came out, I received a cup (not a bowl) of the wrong soup. The bagel was tough and rubbery with no flavor. I was very disappointed. It seems like this place is either hit or miss. Either it's great or it’s terrible. There’s no in between. Regrettably, I will no longer be able to tell friends that I’ve never had a bad meal here.

Our room was not cleaned during our three day stay. The staff was very unfriendly and not helpful when we asked for assistance in looking into activities around town. We were over charged and had an extremely difficult time getting refunded our deposit and were never refunded the amount we were over charged. I have to admit that the baked goods are quite good, but I'd definitely suggest staying somewhere else and purchasing the baked goods independently. You'd still be saving money if you bought three meals a day through the bakery and stayed at a hotel down the road. All in all we were extremely disappointed in our stay and the headaches that continued as we battled over the phone for our deposit and overcharge only enhanced our displeasure with our stay.
