Best place in Juneau to stay I loved the updated rooms and the awesome bear blankets makes the experience that much better, loved having a full size kitchen.
The staff there is awesome always friendly and looking for new ways to make the stay better.

We've had a really nice stay at this hotel in Juneau. Our room was enormous, and it had everything we needed and then some! I always inspect the bathroom wherever we stay, and this time I was impressed at how clean it was. Kudos to the housekeeping staff!

This is by far the nicest hotels in Juneau. The rooms are spacious and clean (they did a recent remodeling of all the rooms), and are equipped with anything you would ever need for a short — or long-term stay. Not sure what some of the other people on this page are talking about — — I've never heard of anyone stealing in this town, much less at this hotel. It's never happened to me at any rate, and I've lived here for several months. The location is convenient by the airport (it's a 10 minute walk at most), and there is a shuttle if you need it. The food at the restaurant is excellent, and there are other dining options in close proximity. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the management is helpful. I loved the Jacuzzi in my suite, it's definitely not something you get within this price range at other hotels in town. Nothing to complain about. Stay here if you're in Juneau.

Good location close to the airport and a 15 minute short shuttle to the Auke Bay ferries. Free shuttles to both airport and ferry with very friendly drivers. Shuttle reservation process is easy with the front desk and very flexible. Rooms were clean and well kept. Full kitchen was convenient. Peruvian restaurant in the building had very tasty food — — nice change from burgers and fish/chips everywhere else.

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Frontier Suites Winter, Spring, and Summer for months at a time due to a seasonal job in your area. The location, facilities, home like suites and rooms are comfortable and spotless. The full sized kitchen and appliances made it easy to dine in. The ability walk the entire property without going outside in rain or snow is a big plus with Juneau’s unpredictable weather. I never had a challenge with parking even when they had to plow the lot in the winter. 24 hour Desk Staff can handle anything and the shuttle service was superb. Enjoyable, quiet, and a remarkable value. I’ll be back.

Stay Away from this Hotel — Thieves with Worst Service Ever! We stayed one night in June and upon checkout in the morning, we were advised to leave our bags by the West wing of the hotel for shuttle to pick us up. We did what we were advised, left the bags for pick up, went in for a quick grab & go breakfast and came out in less than 2 mins to find out one of our bags was missing and the shuttle was already parked in front of the bags. The driver was very sketchy when we asked for his help to find the stolen bag. He didn't let us off the shuttle to look for our bag and said he will look for it instead. The driver, front desk staff and specially the Gen. Mgr Mitch are total liars and do not want to take responsibility of any thefts occurred on their property. Stay away from this hotel and invest in a better hotel elsewhere for your peace of mind.

Was a great, clean place to have as home base while visiting Juneau. Though we understood why they don't have air conditioning, it was pretty rough during the 90* weather & that's something to keep in mind. Having said that, the staff being great more than made up for it. We plan to stay there again on our next visit — thanks for being awesome!

I have tried to book this place two times for large groups of mine and direct through the front desk both times. Both times the hotel forgot about the reservation! You would think one would have been enough. … I assure you, they do not care enough here about your reservation. Otherwise, rooms are nice and large for the price but not always spotless either.

Love this place. It provides free shutter to ferry and pick-up at the airport and have freezer for ice chest. I will come back next time.

Whoever the female night shift gal was 5/10 (tattoo on her chest) you should ask your manager to send you to some hospitality classes. I’ve been in the service industry my entire life and the customer service I and my friend received from you was The. Worst. Unfriendly. Unapologetic. Rude. Unkind. I could go on. Plus side — the room we ended up in was nice and comfortable… but not the room we originally we booked.

Nice staff, but soooo loud. First room was by the outer door that started slamming at 4:30am. Install some quieting door closers — they exist! Second room had an overhead neighbor who awoke at 3:30, following another down-the-hall door slam at 3. There appears to be zero insulation or soundproofing between rooms. I’m not a light sleeper…

The service was good, unfortunately the electronic door locks didn't work when trying to get into the building. We got it fixed when we spoke to the front desk.

When we want a weekend getaway, this is our spot… our staycation spot for years. They are great with kids, and have fun suites :)

Incompetent and inconsiderate staff. Don't expect anyone there to go out of their way to help you. Room smelled like 1, 000 meals had been cooked in it. Had to leave and check into the Travelodge down the street. That was a good move.

Terrible service, no accountability, mgr. Uninvolved. Breakfast a joke, no cleaning service for a week. Had to get toilet paper at desk every other day. Thank God we had things to do as not to have this place ruin whole vacation. Took Kids out to early lunch everyday as there was no milk for cereal, no muffins etc. Most days. Desk help always had an excuse with no way to help. No follow-up on complaints, no manager call to us when asked to call about our service. Icing on the cake, shuttle to airport on last day and they forgot us. The gal at desk, young person said sorry they didn't read your name, I can call you a taxi or you can walk there, it is only 10 minutes! Ridiculous!

I really enjoyed my stay here. My room came with a full kitchen and cookware. The bed was clean and the bathroom had a big whirlpool tub.

It was fine. Not great. But fine. Room was nice sized. Decent kitchen. It was a non smoking room but smelled of smoke. Parking bad. Heater was difficult to control. Price was far too high. But it's Juneau and you don't have a lot of options. So. Three stars… Just okay.

The room was excellent and clean. I liked having a working kitchen available even if I didn't use it. The breakfast was good for a continental offering. The only negative was the exterior which looked old and in need of repair.

I had an awesome time staying here! After reading all the local reviews for other places to stay and genuinely debating to sleep in our car, my friend and I happened across Frontier. The front desk staff (Maddie — we're talking about you, you rock girlfriend) were super helpful and directed us towards banging bars. Our room was kitschy, clean, and cute with Alaskan themed décor. All for an amazing price in comparison to local rates! Definitely stay here — there's so many great things!

This hotel is just cheap. When you pay so much a night to stay somewhere, you expect them to at least have good towels right? Not towels that feel and look like they are for washing a car. If you want sheets that stay on the bed, comforters that aren't stained, and a ceiling fan that you don't have to clean your first night because you can't stop sneezing, this place isn't for you. I admit the staff I have met at the hotel has nice workers, and friendly customer service. But when it comes to the room, I am very dissapointed.

For over a year I've been staying at the Frontier Suites twice a month due to my work. It's always been a positive experience due to the professional staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds — and bedding.

Internet did not work and the front desk staff told me I would need to bring my computer down stairs to the lobby in order for it to work. It did, but does not in the room. The night staff were very indifferent and unpleasant and made you feel as though they were bothered by you.

Internet doesn't work, keycards are old and take 3-10 swipes before unlocking your door. I'm pretty sure that I could run a more professional hotel out the back of my house. Update: they fixed the internet the first weekday and everything has been fine since. Mitch and the whole crew are always very friendly and helpful. update 2: more than ten days after my first complaint, they still cannot get the wireless internet figured out, wired internet is no longer supported. I cannot recommend this place to anyone that expects to be able to use their computer here.

We stayed at this hotel because of close proximity the airport and free shuttle. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. We were scheduled to stay there twice, on our way out of town and when we returned. I called ahead to make sure our reservation was set up properly. I was assured that it was. When we arrived for our first reservation, it was not. Which is frustrating but not that big of a deal. Rather than offer to fix the front desk agent just stared at me like I was supposed to do something. Every interaction we had with the staff during our first stay was like that. Our return experience was much more pleasant with a different front desk staff.

The staff are very polite and welcoming :) the rooms are nice and clean :) great place I highly reccomend it :D.
