My husband and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is located conveniently to all attractions. The staff always polite and friendly. Room was nice, balcony view. Recommended.

Really enjoyed the stay. Amazing location, just down the road from the ocean and a stroll away from Ciutadella Park. Staff were lovely and very accommodating for late checkout (depending on capacity). Would visit again!

Two steps from the center, the service is very good and the people are very friendly. One lacking point is the parking, you'll need to go a couple of near public parkings that add to the overall expense.

Our stay here was pleasant enough. The room was clean and serviceable, with a good bathroom. There are a few rooms per floor that have balconies and we were lucky enough to have an amazing balcony directly over the entrance to the foyer. The hotel is served by a bar that's open from the afternoon into the early evening. It's in a great location, just a couple of minutes walk from the Cathedral and from the waterfront. I would definitely recommend it for people wanting a stay with relative comfort whilst not breaking the back.

Very good location, I found something old on the outside but inside is all new very well refurbished, quiet rooms, ours had 2 terraces and the bathroom, comfortable and clean, I'll be back if I go to the Born area.

Good location. In between the Gothic Quarter and El Born. Walking distance to the beach and Las Ramblas. Hotel room was nice and staff were friendly. However, the Wi-Fi was not working half the duration of our stay, the elevators broke down, and room cleaning didn't happen until very late in the afternoon which is unusual. We'd spend most of the day out, come back late in the afternoon to rest and the room wouldn't have been clean yet. That said none of the above were dealbreakers and I'd stay here again.

I LOVE this hotel soooo much. We were a walk in and wanted to stay there for more nights, but they had to honor their reservations. Incredible decor, high vaulted ceilings, calming color scheme. Our favorite hotel that we stayed in during our trip to Barcelona. Would return in a heartbeat. Perfect location in order to walk around the Gothic quarter. Great cafe just down the block.

It is not 4 *, but full 3 *.
Pros: Lovely helpful staff, all questions answered, with some problems could not cope, but it is not a fault resepsheonista. Breakfast was excellent. It is perfectly located in relation to the old town, Metro, port, promenade, shops, restaurants. For such a hotel a large bathroom, with a full bath, not a cramped shower cubicle, a lot of free space, non-fog mirror).
Cons: Metro directly under the hotel, on the second floor is audible and sensitive shakes, if not very tired, it is difficult to sleep. Room on a micro patio with micro windows on the white wall and sewer pipes… Accordingly, up to this wall about 1, 5 meters… Unpleasant. Although the booked room has a balcony… And where the balcony could go, I do not know. In the bathroom there is no ventilation, so except for the non-fog mirror, everything else instantly becomes absolutely wet. Very good hotel, very friendly staff.

Very nice hotel in the Ghotischen quarter of Barcelona. Staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are small and fine but the view and the windows to the floor are beautiful. Directly in front of the hotel there are links to the bus and train and the port with many sweet little cafes and musicians is within walking distance.

Hotel well located in the main entertainment area of the city, we booked through its official website and we came out cheaper than in the online, the treatment received by the staff very nice. We had a very large room and upstairs on the top floor, with terrace and balcony.
Negative points: The parking is not in the same building and they have to accompany you to open and close the door, and one of the 2 elevators moves a lot.

4 star Hotel of 81 rooms very well located in via Layetana Metro to 3 min, staff of 24 hours.

Very nice Experience in this hotel! Very well located between El Born, Barceloneta and El Gotic, perfect for discovering the city on foot. We did not have breakfasts on site as we prefer to stroll and eat in small local cafes. For the rest, the staff is very nice and the room clean and spacious! Small anecdotal detail but that annoyed us: we had neighbors who smoked at the window of their room and the smoke went up in our if the window was open! If the hotel is not non smoking, it should become so!
Very pleasant stay if not.

The we stayed in is nice, clean and has a spacious balcony. The hotel has a very central location. The room service did a good job. The breakfast however was not satisfying. Scrambled egg was finished and eventhough we went to breakfast more than an hour before end of breakfast time and more guests were coming, the service denied providing more. The service and the variety of food was subpar to other 4 or 3 star hotels I stayed at. We stayed at the hotel during off-season.

Excellent location for exploring Barcelona, right in the middle of El Gotic. Staff were very helpful and friendly, highly recommend.

It is a really beautiful hotel. However, when I asked if they can check the air conditioner because it was too hot in my room (around 80 degrees), the receptionist said that they did not do provide maintenance to it because it was winter season, and the only thing I could do was to open the window …

Undecided between two or three stars, I put three because anyway at the end, the hotel was practically attached to port Vell (Old Port), so very close to the Barceloneta (the beach), and not even ten minutes walk to get to the Ramblas, making the alleyways Inside you put a lot less, friendly and helpful staff… the the thing we didn't like at all was the cleanliness the room was full of dust, it smelled of dirty, and very small in addition to this all OK.

Attention It offers parking but this one is 8 minutes by foot, C is quite disappointing.

This Hotel was formerly the Hispanic Colonial Bank founded by Antonio Lopez. At present it is a nice and like 4 star hotel, it has comfortable rooms, a restaurant and services offered by a luxury hotel.

The photos are of the feast of the Mercè of 2014, the recurrence lasts usually 5 days, takes place every September and involves much of the city with demonstrations, concerts, castellers, Correfocs and much more, great involvement and guaranteed fun.

A pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and had a really nice look to them including a large bathroom and an amazing shower. A great experience for a cheap price!

The room is quite small, although clean, and the bathroom is not at all bad, but this punctuation is for the soundproofing. You can't sleep. My room was facing an inner courtyard on the sixth floor and the noise of the extractors was horrific. I will not return and I do not advise it. Cheap if but poor quality.

We have been travelling to Barcelona enthusiastically for many years. Always in other hotels. This hotel has been the worst we have ever booked for more than 10 years.
On arrival we went to our room, in the room a woman with shoes lay on the bed, blanket knocked back, played around on her mobile phone. Zimmer was dark.
We are back to the reception, the woman came to us afterwards with the words we could go to the room …
At the reception one was confused … did not understand us perfectly but we got a new room one floor lower, towards late afternoon sat says woman in the lobby. We gave up at the reception, apparently you knew the lady, staff?
No word of apology … by the way, the whole stay doesn't.
The hotel was very dirty, hallways not sucked, all day vacuum cleaners stood dirty clothes etc. In the hallway. Room wasn't really clean, least of all the bathroom.
Our room was very noisy, the Metro was heard all the way to the 4th floor. Poorly insulated rooms, we felt like we were sleeping right next to the street.
Breakfast we included, including, was a disaster, very spartan, two deslicitable. Dry rolls or toast croissants were definitely never fresh cold ham cheese eggs were cold scrambled eggs more like egg sting. Juice from the vending machine of pure sugar. The best was from the breakfast of the Danone yogurt.

Beautiful hotel, convinently located in the Gothic quarter, just back from the port. Hotel is very tasteful decorated with beautiful rooms. Our room was on the corner, just back from the road, with a balcony from which you can see the port. Only downside, no irons in the room and the dry cleaning service is very expensive.

Typical Spanish bar with great tapas selection. The store is very well frequented and therefore also very noisy. The food was delicious though. But there is nothing for a healthy diet.

Great location to get places, terrible service. 2 days in a row with no housekeeping, front desk doesn't seem to care. Not really sure how this is a 4 star hotel. If you're on the 2nd floor near the street expect to not sleep as it's unbearably loud from traffic. Would not recommend staying here.

Extremely disappointed in this 4 star hotel. While on our honeymoon, the hotel gave us the loudest room in the hotel, transferred us only a day later to new room, never cleaned either room we've been in, and we leave tomorrow. Definitely avoid at all costs.

It is a very nice hotel, aesthetically luxurious and well located however I do not consider it to be able to give listed 4 stars. No breakfast included, no ice machine, no coffee machine, no gym or fitness Center, no swimming pool, spa or solarium or terrace.
The room is not at all spacious and the soaps, shampoo of the room are of very low quality. They have a lot to improve.

Very well maintained and tidy room service.

Front desk staff are very helpful, held 3 bags for us before our room was available and had lots of suggestions for areas to look for good local food. We stayed before a cruise and they also gave suggestions for how to get to the port in the morning. Room was small but sufficient and the bathroom is actually quite spacious. Rainfall showers are standard which is a nice touch. Location is good, a fairly short walk gets you to the metro and you're already close to lots of action in the Gothic Quarter.

Nice boutique style hotel. Although on a busy road, our room was very quiet. It's ideally placed to explore the city and Portvell area. Rooms are comfortable. No tea and coffee making facilities bit available via room service. Staff friendly. Will stay here again.

Are unbiased and very hotel-experienced, therefore here is a structured evaluation: — rooms extremely run down, dark, small, windows not insulated (correspondingly extreme noise nuisance, loud beeping all night) — no bathrobes or bumps Poor quality of bathroom utensils — poor hygiene — despite months of double-bed booking, we were only given one room with 2 individual beds. When looking for an alternative, the partner hotel Hotel Gotico was recommended to us with the statement "There you get a double bed and the price remains the same — no additional costs. " When we did our research online, we noticed: Rip-off! The partner hotel would have been €200 cheaper when booking online (excluding discount promotions, etc. ), so they tried to scam us around €200.
We decided to stay only the one, non-cancelable night at the Hotel Colonial and moved to the wonderful and clearly recommended 5 * Grand Marina Hotel the next day!
— breakfast (which we "enjoyed" before moving) is not worthy of an alleged 4 * hotel! Little choice, cheap products, terrible coffee, orange juice was just sugar water. There are aggressively worded signs everywhere that you must not take anything with you under any circumstances, otherwise you have to pay. In addition, during breakfast, the staff with garbage trucks stand right next to the table and there free the plates from the garbage and sort them. Not appetizing and not not not hygienic!

Very nice hotel with nice staff. There is a paid breakfast buffet (15$), free Wi-Fi and it is in a great location. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice. I would definitely stay again.

This is a really great hotel. Excellent front of house staff, couldn't ask for a better location. We were 5 nights in room 201, and yes you could hear very faintly the underground, it did not disturb us at all. The room was overlooking a tiny central courtyard, the bed was super comfortable, the shower was the "rainfall" type and was excellent. Our room was well cleaned each day, It was quite a small room, and dark, having very dark wood floor and dark wallpaper, but we thought this made the overall look very chic, And with the use of the excellent lighting system, the practical usage of the room was perfect. Highly recommend.

Yes it is luxury. But unfortunately I had get one of these "backdoorrooms" (this are rooms which are not on the street side. ) And unfortunately you can hear the underground railway because under the hotel leaves the underground every 0.5-1 hour. (I feel not good here). In the night it is quite here (like heaven).
The breakfast is very good.
It is very clean here.
All rooms have air conditioning.
The princess hotel was better last year because they had two swimming pools and fitness rooms and and and.
If you like to know if you can book a room here so I can say yes because in your vacation you are not all the time in the rooms.

I must once again revise my view for excellent breakfast buffet. I found it incredibly disgusting to see moths flying over the the fruits. This is not acceptable for a Hotel with 4 stars.
