We had our wedding at The Spa Hotel back in October. The staff were very helpful throughout all the planning and on the day we have to give a huge shout out to Ste who was amazing and ensured everything ran smoothly. The food and drinks were gorgeous and the view from the hotel is just the best. The groom's family stayed in Treetops which is a great self-catering let too! The place now has a special place in our hearts and we will definitely be back 😊

First visit to Saltburn. Stayed at the Spa and so pleased we did, beautiful hotel, friendly staff and a great breakfast, we will definitely return!

Went with my daughter Becky for breakfast. Couldn’t fault it. Quick friendly service. Hot food that tastes fantastic. The highlight of which was the great black pudding. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone. Great value which also included the drink. How breakfast should be done unlike an establishment not a million miles away from there! 5

We went to the tapas on the terrace at the weekend, staff were friendly and the place itself is lovely but the food was terrible and considering it cost us £60 as a pair there was probably about £20 worth of poor quality food, if that. Really was a shame because the setting was so lovely but the cost for platter of food was absolutely shocking.

Excellent massages and service staff. Lovely food too. Definitely coming again!

A big Thank you to the staff at The Spa Hotel for a wonderful evening myself and friends had on Friday 29th July. The evening started on The Terrace, soaking up the wonderful views, followed by superb entertainment by Sandy Smith, in the main function room. Stayed at The Spa Hotel for the first time, it definitely won’t be the last! Dined here last night for a family birthday. We ate outside on the terrace which was very comfortable and has an amazing view over the sea. The majority of us had the Teesside Parmo with chunky chips and to say that it was delicious is an understatement, without a doubt one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The staff were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble even when we asked them to take photos. I will absolutely go to this excellent establishment again, hopefully staying in one of the rooms next time 😊

Came for a baby shower. Being a wheelchair user I was very worried when I learnt the room that was hired was upstairs. They have a chairlift available which thankfully meant I could manage and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Special mention to Ste who operated the chairlift, made sure I didn’t catch my feet on the stairs and carried my wheelchair up and downstairs by himself. Thank you so much, your help was very much appreciated.

Amazing venue for our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is always spotless clean and the food lovely every time we have stayed. The wedding breakfast and buffet has been commented by our guests as ‘the best wedding food they’ve ever had’ Ste and Rebecca deserve a special mention for going over and above with their service and how lovely they both are. The staff at this venue are always so friendly and accommodating.

I booked The Waves Room for a Wake, following my Mums funeral, today.
Everything was Perfect!
Beautiful room, easy access but private.
Tastefully decorated, with attention to detail, spotlessly clean.
The food and the service were second to none.
We had mini fish and chips, mini parmos and a lovely selection of other things.
Such a refreshing change from the norm.
The food was a pleasure to look at and eat.
The Spa staff are lovely, very accommodating and helpful.
Though this booking was for a sad occasion, all of the things I have mentioned above, really made a difference to our day!
The Spa and its staff's substantial efforts to make its spaces special and treat people with respect, decency and kindness and to go that extra mile have really paid off.

Loved staying here with my wife. Great service, lovely room, very quiet at night and what a view!

Stayed here last week with friends for three nights and had a really lovely time. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated and the staff were so friendly especially Tracey who went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. The view from the outside deck was just stunning. 😀

Extremely helpful staff for my Mum and Dad’s ruby wedding party. Stephen the restaurant manager couldn’t have been more helpful — Excellent all round. Would highly recommend.

Only had a meal. Very slow service arrived just before 5pm… Took 15 minutes for drinks to arrive. And 45 minutes for food. Should have been told before hand about long wait.
Food was nice and tasty but won't be back.

Great food, again and such a superb setting. Staff always friendly and it is always clean and welcoming. Online booking system is a little inflexible and time consuming, but a minor flaw in a wonderful experience.

The staff were very friendly and the food was also very good, but the room was very disappointing. We booked a superior Sea view room and the view was amazing even though we had biblical rain and wind. It was just very sad and not what I would call a superior room, damp patches repaired on the ceiling but not to a good standard, miss matching bedside lamps, one lovely one awful. The window that did open on the sea view was cracked, black and the paint peeling off, this somewhat spoilt the effect of the floor to ceiling windows. One of the chairs by the window had a button missing off the back and just looked a bit sad. The bathroom was ok, but wood effect on the front of the vanity unit was peeling and just again looked sad and unloved. The room was very clean but just not worth the £330 pounds we paid for two nights. I have been in better premier in rooms a lot cheaper and I know you would not get the view but still I feel the room was not worth the money charged. Again the staff we good, we had no issue getting extra tea and coffee, they were always helpful but I just felt I we were not getting a superior room experience. I wish you well in this uncertain year.

Last minute booking for a gig, reception staff extremely helpful and phoned me straight back. On arrival the positioning of the hotel on the hill above the beach is stunning. Young brunette lady in reception was lovely, extremely helpful and welcoming. Showed me through to Rm 1, a deluxe double. The rest of the staff were as lo Ely and helpful throughout my overnight stay!
Wow! Huge windows with an unbelievable view over the bay. Exceptionally clean, and a MASSIVE Kingsized sleigh bed. Good supply of refreshment, including a quirky bottle of water, the bottle you can purchase as a souvenir, filter coffee and cafetierre, and of course, Yorkshire Tea!
The function room was a great size, not too big, so felt like an intimate gig. Got to praise the band Los Pacaminos here for a fab show, as always!
Food was tasty, with a texmex selection for the night, but the brisket could have done with some cheese to pop in the tacos. Heck, if that's my only constructive criticism, dont hesitate to book with this hotel. Top Notch! If the PACs come back I'm definately booking another stay, and it's worth that little extra for a deluxe room. Thank you!

All I can say is what an amazing place to eat, the food was exquisite and the customer service was 10/10, the food was amazing and we would love to go back and stay the night. Don't hesitate go and eat here A.

I went to the Amber Rooms today with my Mum to celebrate her 60th. What lovely staff we had the pleasure of meeting. We had 2 beautiful treatments and even managed to squeeze a nail appointment in because of a fantastic promotion. We then went down to have a gorgeous two course meal in the Restaurant. I had taken a balloon for the Restaurant to put on our table and they had put cards and a bag of spa goodies for her it was such a lovely touch, she was over the moon! Thank you Spa Hotel, you all made us feel so special Claire.

I can’t recommend the place enough such wonderful service your staff truly are amazing and so friendly. I never got the name of our waitress she had shoulder length hair, glasses and she was fantastic with the kids I cannot thank her enough keeping 3 & 4 year old entertained is hard enough yet she made time for them both.

Fab, happy and genuinely friendly staff, so impressed with kids menu choices and how well this place accommodates kids (can have half adult meal, different starters like prawn cocktail and mussels! ). Very well priced 1-3 courses with adult size desserts! Unisex toilets and baby changing facilities so both sexes can change baby!
Very pooch friendly too with various treats on sale etc!
Big adult portions too and lovely outdoor seating area with views to die for! Just have to obviously be careful with little ones near edge! Gorgeous warm Blankets on request if sitting outside too! *A toddler size meal might be a good option though can’t complain value for money superb anyway! Just was a lot for our two year old and fair bit of waste! ♥️ will defo be back! Xxxx thank u xx.

We were here for a wedding at the weekend, @ £109 per night I really expected better from the room. Mould, old mastik from previous fittings, bath panel falling away. On a brighter note the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us, breakfast was delicious As mentored earlier this was let down by nothing short of a dump of a room. Such a shame as some of the rooms have been revamped and are the same price.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was pretty good. The room I stayed in was clean, but well used and needed a bit of general maintenence considering the price of it for a night.

Great all together experience. The breakfast can't be beaten. View is dream like. Staff are drastic.

Had my 50th birthday party here last night. Staff brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Buffet lovely, venue and room perfect and weather beautiful. Only criticism would be the air conditioning in the Pavilion Function room needs to be more powerful. Other than that, couldn't fault anything.

Enjoyed a late evening night cap sitting outside watching the sun go down. Seems like a very nice hotel & lovely friendly staff. They are pet friendly & also have a bar menu for doggies!

Tea with family was lovely! A good choice of dishes from pub grub to posher nosh! All cooked to order and all presented beautifully. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful.

The Spa Hotel has gone from strength to strength in the last year. Eaten normal lunch and Sunday lunch here recently and both were really good. Modest prices, good staff and good food. And the view across Saltburn beach is unparalleled in Saltburn.

After years of admiring this hotel from afar I decided to book it for a overnight stay for myself and my hubby … we were greeted by friendly staff who explained all that was on offer this weekend and we were shown to our room which was no 24 at the far end of the hotel… the room was clean freshly decorated and gave us a comfortable stay… breakfast catered for everyone's taste and was delicious and served in the conservatory which over looks the sea "views are amazing" … I would truly recommend this hotel for a stay in saltburn as it's location is perfect… would I stay there again ABSOBLOOMINGLUTELY!

After a not so lovely lunch at another location on the seaside. We were very pleased to find that the spa hotel provided first class treatment, and the food was delicious. The staff was very accommodating, polite, and gave us a warm welcome whilst having two very tired toddler's with our group. We were given lovely soft blankets while enjoying our meal outside as the sun set. The food was fresh, and nothing was wasted. We would 100% recommend The Spa Hotel. Can't wait to visit again.

Lunch visit for my mother-in-laws 80th. Food was excellent and staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Will definitely be visiting again.

I loved my stay at this hotel! The room was clean and tidy and the view was stunning. The food in the restaurant was delicious and again there was lovely views from the restaurant. The staff were all very friendly. Would love to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Five stars really isn't enough for this hotel. I cannot praise this place enough. Our room was beautiful and had an incredible view across the coast. The staff were all fantastic and incredibly helpful. The food excellent and the drinks very reasonably priced. I managed to have a chat with the owners who were not only both lovely, but you could see that they both really cared about the service they were providing to their guests, and that they were full of passion for their hotel. An awesome stay. Cannot wait to return.

I was served by a wonderful young lady — Hannah — who was very welcoming, attentive and nothing was too much trouble, she even had the time to have conversation with my wife and myself which you don't get anywhere else! Brilliant service, will be back for more food most defiantly, Praise to chefs on their Good quality food. Beautiful place! Have recommended to friends and family.

We got married at this beautiful venue on the 23rd December. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. The owners, the wedding planner, all of the staff and The Amber rooms all made our day as special and as wonderful as we could have ever imagined. Took the children to have Sunday lunch and see Santa. Lovely location and friendly staff. Very accommodating. Only negative was that the food went cold too quickly once it was on the table.

I stopped off at The Spa Hotel for dinner and I was extremely surprised at the quality of the food. Normally you have to by a side to feel full with a sandwich menu at a hotel, however I was surprised at the quantity and quality of food. I had a beautiful seafood sandwich. It had generous fillings and good portion sizes at a fair price. I would highly recommend this place for food.

Staff fantastic, food was delicious and breakfast speedy and very tasty. Room was clean and tidy, and the towels were huge. The shower is over the bath, not usually a problem but the bath is very high off the floor, a bit of a climb to get in and out off. Tv did not work although reception were aware of it and had contacted a repair person, think. It was all of them not just ours. Beds very comfy and bedding pristine. A lovely location and an interesting place to visit. We enjoyed it.

Very good position above the beach, with its wide sea views. The dining room in the conservatory overlooking the bay is delightful. Our room also had a good sea views and the beds were comfortable. The food was freshly prepared, the staff friendly. Altogether a delightful place to stay.

The view pulling into the car park got my heart racing! It was amazing! They have a conservatory facing the beach and country cliffs. They also have outside seating. Rooms are very nice with everything you need; kettle, tea, coffee, toiletries and really nice big towels! If it's not in the room then it is at reception. We stayed in a dog friendly room and they provided a bed and food and water bowls which we have never had before! The charge for the dog was only £10, we have paid more at other locations. The bar is very reasonably priced as is the food. The food was great! So tasty was amazing! The staff are so helpful, friendly and very polite! They have 2 car parks which are free. They have a bar and lounge and separate restaurant. We were able to have the dog in the lounge whilst eating. Will definitely be back!

Surprised it was so lovely. Cream tea inside pouring rain outside with lovely view. Very attentive staff. My new fav coffee stop when out for a walk!

The food and staff are lovely here, but the conservatory needs to be looked into and fixed as the roof is leaking and no matter how hot the radiators are the room is freezing if its cold outside! We even seen drips landing on a customers jumper! Could have very easily been going into food or drinks which would be easily be a health hazard! Like I said the food that was served to us was good and we felt very sorry for the staff as they were very clearly dealing with a lot of complaints due to the temperature and actually looked cold themselves. Maybe moving the dining area into the function room would be better?

We held our small but perfect wedding reception at the Spa… It was perfect… the staff made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable from the very start, nothing was too much trouble… we had the meal in the wave room… the table looked beautiful and the meal was superb… Thank you Gwen and staff you made our day extra special.

Stayed here Saturday 26th November to see China Crisis play and was not disappointed, after a warm welcome and being shown to our room we had a nice drink served by a lovely friendly barman. We went to see China Crisis in the big room and as usual they were fantastic (can't wait for the next gig) where the staff continued to work extremely hard, even carried our drinks to the table for us as couldn't manage them all. Tasty breakfast served very quickly in the restaurant then a nice stroll in the fresh air with breath taking views. Will definitely be going to the next China Crisis gig at this wonderful venue. Hope it isn't too long to wait. Ps: The hot chocolate is delicious.

Visited for work, didnt use any services but it looks really nice.

Friendly staff, good food and decent decor (based on bar area). Limited parking, some seating outside with nice views over the beach, sea and cliffs. There is a conservatory dining area too. Booking is advisable, especially for Sunday lunch. Pricing not excessive.

Such a transformation since we last visited. The staff are really helpful and polite, and the food is first class. The place has been decorated in modern pastel grey, and feels much roomier than before. If you don't know this place, the views from the conservatory are stunning, looking out over the cloud and the beach. We had the Sunday Lunch, and it's the best Sunday Lunch we've had anywhere around here. The price is a very reasonable £12.95 for 2 courses, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend trying here. You do have to book a table, as it's become very popular.

Wow, I can't believe the transformation — not just in decor but also the quality of service and food. This is a different place altogether. Stayed with our four kids and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Great new breakfasts. The place looks really chic now too. Highly recommend.

First time me and my family have been to Saltburn and we had a brilliant holiday. We loved this hotel.

The kitchens are dirty! The hotel is old fashioned and gloomey. Worst hotel in saltburn by far.

What a dump. The rooms are scruffy and the service couldn't have been worse, these people don't deserve to be in business. I wouldn't touch this hotel with a barge pole. It may have been a nice hotel in the past and the write-up sounds good but it is now run down and needs major works to bring it up to modern day standards. The hotel is in a lovely spot looking out to sea and Saltburn is a nice place to visit, its such a shame as this hotel could be so nice if any of the staff made an effort towards looking after their customers.

We often visit Saltburn and found The Spa Hotel well situated, the rooms were clean and comfy, the staff very helpfull and the food was well presented and tasty. Couldent fault the hotel for the price will come again and recomend to friends.
