Lousy service, rude waitresses, confusion in the service. A place that costs enough and serves you food for two on a plate with only two forks, we were not even pigs.
If two men ask for a free table on the front line, they do not give it to them because they have a reservation list (reservation at 9am. A pity it's 7am). But when arriving from two women, there is no doubt to whom the table goes. Sure, they were wrong not to tell us anything, or maybe they have multiples ready and something changed (the waiter told us both at the same time. What will be the lie? )
Classists or homophobes, or perhaps just rude.
Never again.

All I can say is I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. We've just checked in for our 10th wedding anniversary and the customer service is 5* plus+! We had the room decorated with fresh roses. Marta and concierge are absolutely awesome. Thank you for making our weekend so special xxx.

Beautiful hotel, lots of character and history. Staff very attentive, couldn’t do enough to make us feel at home. Rooftop terrace is great for a late night cocktail, have a meal in the local area then a nightcap admiring the promenade and Barceloneta! Perfect location for exploring the gothic quarter, Barceloneta and the beach. Quite pricey compared to alternative accommodation in this superb city but in my opinion worth the extra.

My rating corresponds exclusively to the rooftop bar. We had a family event with catering and drinks, there was a reserved space for us and we have spent the whole afternoon there. We are frequent clients and always enjoyed the terrace. But this time the personal was EXTREMELY RUDE and offensive. This is the first time in my life I left an official complaint in a restaurant or a bar. Being a high quality hotel rooftop bar they should teach the stuff to be always polite, doesn’t matter the situation and their personal “feelings”. We were putting our own music and the manager (Jordi) came shouting to us that it is prohibited etc. I mean really? (The music was on for a joke and we were not planning on continuing to play this) Shouting on the clients? People have fun and its totally not a big deal if in a certain moment they put their music on. The correct way would be: “Would you please be so kind to turn off the music, it can bother other clients. ” Not shouting on the group of woman and kids: “Shut the music down! It’s prohibited! ” After that incident the waiter (also Jordi) was rude to us too, serving drinks. After we paid a bill, I asked for a complaint sheet. They were sarcastic and rude and finally said: “ You are not in the condition to discuss anything with us”. Very disappointing experience. And my official complain will follow.

It wasn't the 1st time we had dinner, and it's been the least good of the last few summers. A magnificent terrace for its location, for its views, quiet, elegant, intimate. But… attentive service but with little experience, letter too short and with some absences, but the price at a high level as in the previous good years.
We'll repeat to see if they rectify.

Great location, clean and amazing service, good breakfast, a lot details, the only minus is the roof top bar service a little slow.

Do not hesitate to push the doors of this magnificent hotel and go for a drink on the terrace in order to enjoy an exceptional view of the port of Barcelona, plus the cocktails are delicious.

High quality dinner, both for the products and for your service (Jhonny attended us from 10). The only but its price, excessively expensive on many dishes. For the rest, everything went very well.

Lovely hotel. If you arrive early for your room there is a free area while you wait, with cucumber infused water, fruit, and little sandwiches. The rooftop terrace is lovely, it has a great view of the harbour. There is a bar here and lots of seating. The pool is really for kids as it's more of a pond in size. Bar and restaurant downstairs are classy. Breakfast was nice but very pricey, but it is that sort of hotel. The room was fantastic, it had a huge walk in waterfall shower, minibar, king-size bed. I have to rate it three stars because on the last day they had a problem with the hot water in our room, which spoiled our experience as they didn't compensate us.

The hotel is very well located in front of the harbor, very close to the several centers of interest of the city centre. The rooms are particularly spacious and even the ones that are on the frequented Passeig Colom and the harbor are quiet, as perfectly soundproofed. A large underground parking is located right across the street which is very convenient.

Spectacular! Super nice rooms, with a classic touch and very functional, the terrace has the best views of Barcelona, mention apart deserves all the staff, from reception to the waiters, definitely a worthwhile experience.

Two nights at the Hotel Quesa. It all starts with a very good reception. We arrived before Check in time, not very serious, the hotel keeps our luggage. Upon our return to the hotel, we are accompanied to our room or our luggage have already been deposited classic room very nice, double bed, free spring water, small gift deposited on the bed, kettle available with teas and coffees. The bathroom at the Top with bathtub or shower. A terrace, a bar and a restaurant if you do not want to come out and a bottle of wine offered if you dine at the restaurant as to the location of the hotel it's just perfect! In short, you will have understood, we recommend + + + + Bel Hotel quality with a quality of service worthy of a 4 star ✨

We've received a 5 star service, stayed 1st — 4th December 2017. Very friendly staff, looking after you, calling to find out if everything is fine, etc. I loved to find some small presents on the bed each time on return to the room and was very pleased to get a bottle of champagne into the room as a present from hotel for my Birthday. The design of the room we stayed in was fantastic, all cleaned and refurbished. Breakfast is overpriced but you can get very tasty food in the restaurant next door. The view from the top roof is fantastic. The hotel is 20 min to the beach and the same walking time to the center of Barcelona.

Wonderful staff which were very helpful. Love the rooftop terrace bar and patio (not required to purchase anything). Great view of the harbor. It is in a very good location if you are catching a cruise. F But that is not the only reason to stay here. Feels safe. Rooms are wonderful, comfortable, clean and modern conveniences mixed with old world charms. So happy we chose this one. Lots of restaurants and tapas places nearby.

Staff is nice and full of good advises for activities and places to eat! The room was clean and comfy and the amenities are good too. Location is cool, on the harbor and not far from the center and a parking not far. View from the rooftop is great!

We stayed at the Duquesa de Cardona last week and absolutely loved it! It was our first trip to Barcelona and it was our anniversary. There was a chilled bottle of cava waiting in our room at check-in (nice touch). Our room was well appointed, had a little balcony over looking a side street and was nice and quiet at night. The staff was excellent — we were there during the Catalan demonstrations and if I had not asked the front desk about train tickets to Madrid (Tuesday was a general strike), I would have booked on-line and never got my money back. The roof-top bar is a great place for a late afternoon or late night drink — — wonderful views of the sea and the city. I only had breakfast in the dining room once, but it was very good. The location in the Gothic or Medieval district is perfect — a short walk to great restaurants and bars. Hopefully we can go back soon and stay there again.

In the heart of the Colon, the views of the terrace are spectacular. A drink, chill out and panoramic port, ideal for that special event.

First thing is first — I chose this hotel after reading hundreds of reviews. Most of the 4/5 star reviews are accurate. My overall experience was 5 stars with a few exceptions; which is why I give this a SOLID 4. This is a high quality hotel with trained staff and very nice rooms. We stayed in and were amazed to find that not only did we have his and bathrooms and closets, but there was a separate room off the main bedroom with a desk and additional bed and an enclosed patio/private courtyard. While we did not have an outside view, we did have a patio which was a really nice touch and made up for an indoor stateroom feel. The beds were super comfortable and the linens were soft. Between that and jet lag, we probably could have stayed in bed the entire trip (thank heavens we didn't! ). Also, this hotel is in the center of the action — Location, location, location! There is a rooftop terrace/pool/bar/restaurant with beautiful views of the marina. This was a really nice touch… HOWEVER — as most other reviews state, the service at the rooftop bar was HORRIBLE. We sat down and waited 15 minutes only to look at each other and say "F This, let's leave. " Easily would have spent 50 euro and also tipped but the people in charge of the service here were total garbage and lacked any semblance of training in the hospitality industry. This is something that made me remove a star from my review even though the hotel was overall such a wonderful experience.

We check in at the Hotel Duquesa de Cardona and they welcomed us with champagne which was a very nice touch. The room had very cute touches of information and little presents! We loved it and definitly will come back.

We stayed here for two days and loved it. Charming boutique hotel with the best rooftop bar in town! Location — right by the beach, walkable to many good bars, restaurants etc. Service & housekeeping — good. We had a prompt check-in. They even gave us early check-in and were helpful with information etc. They charge 10 euros per hour for a late checkout. Room — not so big but okay for a couple. We tried the classic room on 3rd floor but the patio (which is actually just a french window) opens towards the veranda on the inside of the building so can be a little dark. We then stayed on the 4th floor in a classic room with a patio which was much nicer as it was a little bigger with a small patio — you could actually open and step out a bit on the patio if you want — it's very small but still a patio :) Lots of light — much better than the inside open window as this patio opened towards the side street. Can be a little noisy as there are bars on the side street but we didn't mind it that much. We didn't eat at the hotel but we tried the rooftop bar and it was great! The rooftop bar is perfect for a sunny drink and some snacks. We actually enjoyed the rooftop bar the most! Definitely, recommend this hotel to anybody exploring Barcelona while staying by the water.

An excellent hotel. Well maintained with wonderful view of the Marina and Barceloneta on the 6th floor terrace. Close to the la Rambla and Drassanes metro station. The room was spacious and the breakfast was amazing! A wide spread of cold cuts, Iberico ham, Catalan omelettes, etc. The service staff were extremely helpful with directions for first rate tapas in the Born district just 10 minutes on foot. Keep it up! Fantastique!

Hotel Duquesa de Cardona Barcelona has a beautiful terrace on the top with fantastic views over the port of Barcelona. We enjoyed a lot. The location of the hotel is also superb, near all the main attractions : Picasso Museum, la Boqueria, the Cathedral. We made the reseration through their own public website, and got a very good deal.

The terrace of the Hotel Duquesa de Cardona is a must. The mojitos of Strawberry, 10 euros, are spectacular. The views are breathtaking, and at night you can see around the port of Barcelona lit. In the evenings, they usually play live music. The service, however, leaves a little to be desired.

Service very attentive and friendly. The hotel is very good, and its terrace with swimming pool and tapas bar by night is fantastic. The sandwich roastbeef I liked it a lot, but also the ceviche, veal with cheese sauce, the secret of iberian pork, … In the end, better to go, start with the first letter and to take it as a whole.

A beautiful terrace in Barcelona. They serve simple dishes and tapas, I would highlight the truffled bikini and the roast beef, delicious! Quite elaborate cocktails. The views are very beautiful, is the whole port of Barcelona at the foot, overlooking from afar the hotel vela, maremagnum, etc. To stay is a good choice for its location, right opposite has a bus stop, is a short walk from the Ramblas and Via Laietana. Terrace ideal for relaxing in the evening.

Perfect terrace where you can spend the night of summer afternoons. Spectacular views in an exceptional setting. Cocktails, drinks and even lunch or dinner with a contemporary touch of Mediterranean. DJ or music, depending on the day.

Very friendly, very clean and friendly hotel. Although the cheaper rooms overlook a small alley with a few bars, windows are clean, and anyway we don't go not to Barcelona to spend time in the room.

Honestly, I didn't like so much. The place has a spectacular view but not very attentive service. In addition to that, the letter of drinks is not very good, but on the positive side, has an incredible view.
