Yuze is absolutely lovely. The rooms are a bit dated, but spacious and with wonderful views. There are two public baths, one is 18+ and the other has an open air portion over looking the river.
The hotel is a bit older but it's well kept. There're 2 separate towers connected by a bridge. The public onsen bath on-site is separated into male and female at the annex building.

I stayed here for one night on January 3rd of this year. In your room on the 3rd floor, you can take a bath in the guest room's open-air bath while looking out at the valley.
The location is at the back of the river, off the street, so it's a quiet place, but it's also difficult to find and the road is narrow.
