Almost everything about this hotel was superb. We had a room with a private outdoor bath and the view was amazing during the autumn foliage season.
Yuze is absolutely lovely. The rooms are a bit dated, but spacious and with wonderful views. There are two public baths, one is 18+ and the other has an open air portion over looking the river.
The hotel is a bit older but it's well kept. There're 2 separate towers connected by a bridge. The public onsen bath on-site is separated into male and female at the annex building.

Stayed here for 2 nights in February. The area is very calm and I enjoyed walking around the nearby town and seeing some of the monuments most people won't see.
It was such a nice experience to stay here. The hotel is very well kept. The rooms looked old tho still clean and tidy. However, the room smelt like green tea and I couldnt find out why.

Loved staying here! The staff are so kind and friendly, especially the girl who arranged the check in, and the older gentleman who is the night porter. Both had such good manners and were polite.

Only went to the restaurant while skiing in Zao. Very good lunch and unlimited drinks made me drink a lot of hot chocolate so I'm happy.
THIS PLACE IS SO BEAUTIFUL i’m actually genuinely so happy. The snow, the wood building, the fireplaces all around, the smell and feeling of warmth.

This onsen's main attraction is its unique location, with two baths right on the edge of the Sea of Japan.
One bath is mixed, the other is women only.

Had a lovely stay here in spring time. To be frank, the hotel is a bit dated and in need of a refresh within, as furnishings are weathered, a little beaten and dusty, corridor carpets are stained.
