It was a great stay, everyone was kind and respectful of the shared space and rooms.

The stay was simply perfect, such a wam hearted and well organized host, the house is very clean and traditional, you can be certain to have a great time there!

I had a very comfortable stay in the dorm room at Umebachi. The bed and duvet were high quality, and I loved the little spaces on second floor for working.

Umebachi is a lovely guesthouse, very friendly staff, a great place to come “home” to. I stopped here for a day of rest and sightseeing in Sendai on a long distance cycling trip.

Really excellent hostel experience, super comfortable, great coworking space, and quite a lot of personal space and privacy.

My stay here was relaxing. It was nice to visit an onsen and not have to worry about tattoos or being a foreigner. The amenities were clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It is a nice, clean place relatively far from the city but close to the bus stop. The price was very reasonable at around 3500 yen per night for a bunk bed.

Honestly, while this might not be the fanciest hostel, it might be the best hostel I have been so far in terms of the essentials.

Important: an elderly man runs this hostel and unlike other hostels, your estimated check in time means something because he will wait around for you.

You can meet very nice, friendly owner here. He took us to the beautiful peach orchard, so we enjoyed not only peach picking but also meeting orchard owner who is very sincere and earnest.

Initially I only booked 1 night as a pitstop in Sendai before travelling to Hokkaido, but then I ended up extending my stay with 4 nights because I loved the people and the atmosphere so much.

Here you can meet the best people ever!
The service is wonderful, useful and caring. The owner is very kind person. This hostel is well located and definitely worth spending every minute here!

The location is really good, extremely close to the JR Station and the overall hotel is modern and clean.

We had an excellent stay at active Life Yado and enjoyed every moment. He common room is very well designed and we received a warm welcome.
