Great location in the quiet area of ikebukuro but still a short walk to any food you may require. Very big rooms for Japan too! Would stay here again.

Checkin and checkout process went smooth and with as little fuss as possible, very typical efficient japanese style.

I paid $50 per night for a small cozy room. The uphill climb is annoying, but the customer service is incredible. Your room is cleaned DAILY.

A great budget hotel with excellent value for money.
The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the South Exit of Tabata Station.

We were sweaty and hot from a day of walking. We stopped by for a rest and enjoyed the air-conditioned rooms, showers, drinks, and bed.

Stayed here for about a week. Very good value for money, friendly staff and amazing amenities. Very hospitable. We will be back! :)

Out of all AIRBNB'S this host is by far the best. Very thoughtful, kind and mindful. Room is well maintained, clean and easy to reach.

I was pleasantly surprised by the close proximity to everything we wanted to do and how quiet and relaxing it was staying here. We went from hustle and bustle to quaint, quiet and relaxing.

We were a family of 4 staying in a deluxe bunk bed room and loved it. The room was small but practical and the in room washer/dryer was amazing. The staff at the lobby were welcoming by and friendly.

High floor had great views. Twin beds helps with room size, which was ok TBF.
Sleep quality was good, noise wasn't a problem and I sleep with 1 ear open.

Older style hotel with one wooden room key holder per room. Rooms comfortable with fridge, toilet and shower. No closet or drawers, need to hand cloths.

I went here for dinner with my office colleagues. Our office booked a hall and arranged a set menu that included beer, whisky, and Japanese food.

There was a morning tea 7-9 but I never had any. Grabbed some coffee/tea bags and had it in my room. There is a kettle in the room.

Stayed there on a ski trip with friends. Seems like an older hotel but it's very well maintained. Facilities were comfortable in a little village like setting.

Really loved the experience of being in a great ryokan with onsen, kaiseki cuisine and a short walk to the ski lift! Located next door was the Shiga Palace where we could rent first rate equipment.

Magnificent stay. Excellent 100%. The house is very spacious, well equipped, with its touch of a traditional Japanese stay but with a very well-equipped kitchen and living room.

A lot of these reviews are complaining about the temperature, check in tablet, and hallway water source. I don’t understand where these are coming from as all were incredibly simple to operate.

I read through some of the other reviews of this accommodation and I don’t feel it deserves some of the critiques it received.
The rooms and building seem to be newly renovated.

We have stayed here two years in a row and recommend highly. Formerly a hostel, it now is more of a hybrid hostel-hotel.

Good amenities, clean. Staff are friendly.
Bunk style beds are good enough (Japanese style mattress, thinner than most western mattresses).

This hotel is nice for if you need something convenient to the airport.
17min transit to Haneda! They have a lovely public bath (onsen) with indoor as well as open air.

This is a new Keikyu EX Inn, complete with a large public bath.

Hotel is semi automatic via scanning id for check in and check out. Location is right next to the train station but no noise. There is a small town next door with cafes and restaurants.

I booked the 1 private room. Small like college private room but it's worth for travelling under a budget. Plus I can walk to famous places like seijo temple and sumida river.

The place is quite big for a room for 3. The room is spacious and is complete with amenities. There is a nearby Family Mart, drug store and grocery store.
