First, you have the stunning design of the house, nestled in the heart of the forest, peaceful and refined in that uniquely Japanese way.

The most beautifully restful stay. The food is incredible and such a treat (7, 000 yen for a multi course tasting menu! ). Amazing ambience and hospitality — we felt super zen and cosy.

The hotel is linked to the overpass. Their breakfast is fantastic! They even have ice cream in their breakfast buffet. Miso soup is one of my favorites. They also sell mouthwatering pastries.

The open-air bath seemed to have been renovated and was very clean and nice.
You can see greenery from the bath, and there is a bench outside where you can relax and enjoy the view.

I saw some reviews saying it was old, but I didn't think it was that old.

Super location overlooking the ocean. The free shuttle service brings you to the hotel and train station. Some restaurants are in walking distance.

Have a great experience with the hotel. Stayed in as a family of 2 adults and 1 infant. Food was well-served with personalised experiences.

Beautiful retro traditional ryokan. The rooms are well appointed and it feels like stepping back in time. The onsen are amazing.

Room was spacious. Bed and pillow comfortable. Clean and tidy. Staff courteous. Free parking. Right in the centre. Surrounded by lots of restaurants and shops. Close to the station.

This place is very good, the msot negative thing is that there are no shower rooms! Only in Onsen area, but not inside the rooms or even shared in the floor.

This hotel has been renovated recently (2years ago) so the rooms are nice.
The bath areas were really nice.

Pretty much a standard business hotel, so you really can't go wrong. Rooms were clean, service was good.

Had a stayover on the way back to Nagoya and just need a clean room to sleep.

We had an amazing stay at Fav Lux Hidatakayama. It’s conveniently located just a minute away from Takayama Station, making it an ideal base for exploring Takayama and day trips.

We stayed here for two nights in a Tatami Room and had a wonderful experience.

Good location — two stops from Nagoya station and then around 5 minutes by foot. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Near to Kanayama railway station.

Stayed here for a couple of days, and I cant complain. Its very near to Kanayama Station and there is even a shuttle bus going from the hotel to the station for free.

Good location. Good sized rooms. Bathrooms are very nice and big. Mine actually had a step down into the bathroom unlike a lot of cheaper japanese hotels.

The location is convenient. The single room is small, suitable for one person. I am allergic, but the room has an air purifier, so I don't feel any uncomfortable.

I had a good night’s sleep here as the area is quiet and peaceful. The room was squeaky clean and spacious for a solo traveler. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free.

Reasonable hotel at affordable cost. Nice service being offered. Rooms are little small however with enough amenities. Breakfast is complementary.

The outside of the hotel is dated but the room was lovely with Japanese/Western decor and an amazing private onsen.

The lobby is a bit dated and so was our breakfast room downstairs but our room was new and beautiful!

This is an amazing and unique hotel, which allows you to feel like you travel back in time or to some fairytale land. The architecture and scenery of the hotel is charming.

Great ryokan hotel that can include breakfast and dinner and private onsen (hot bath), if you pay for it. Your preference. The rooms are well kept and still look like back in the 1930s.

We arrived late during golden week and got the last available room which was a suite. It was a beautiful room with fancy fittings. It even had a fresh filter on the air-conditioning vent.

The room is very small. The hotel has very limited parking on site. If you arrive late, you have to use the paid parking facilities nearby.

Best location for a reset before we headed to Tokyo. Ride a bike around the village. Visit the salt makers. Go to the cafe. Visit the fish co-op.

2 weeks ago we stayed at this Ryokan. We stayed here for one night. We actually wanted to stay 2 nights but they were fully booked. After travelling alot, it was nice to have a day full of relaxation.

My husband and I truly loved our stay at this ryokan. After traveling through busy, larger cities, it was a quaint and peaceful retreat in nature—exactly what we needed.

We were very pleased with our stay at this place. The guesthouse is located very close to the bus stop with departures to Kamikōchi, which made it especially convenient.

I stayed at Ryoso Tsuyukusa during my recent driving quest, and it was an absolutely lovely experience.

The view from our room was really good. The stat was very relaxing and the onsen was the showstopper!

It is a good hotel and the stuff is really nicely but inside the room there is no shower and you have to go to the public bath 🛀 in the ground floor.

This place is cool, cozy, and a little eclectic. It has an old, charming aesthetic that is very different from other hostels that I have stayed in. The bed space is good.

Nice place to stay, nice staff and food. It's a 15 minutes walk to the Shizuoka station which is really convinient. I recommend this place if you want to stay in shizuoka city.
