I chose this hostel for its price and location, and it was my first time staying here. I stayed in the female dormitory, and everything was perfect.

I found Hostel Knot through booking. Com, and I was drawn to its affordable price, good location, and positive reviews from other guests.

I had a nice stay there. The beds in the dorm are fairly private with a curtain and the staff are super nice. The shower water pressure was also great for cooling off during my summer visit.

Quaint but nice place. They have bunk beds with lockers for valuables. It seems to be very popular, and the location is great! (Right at Osu).

I had a lovely and memorable stay at this accommodation. It offers a relaxing, cozy, and warm vibe that makes you feel right at home.

If I could give higher rating I would. The place that the owner almost build himself is cosy, clean, well placed and you feel like home. The host is the most fun, kind and giving host I have ever had.

The rooms were great and cozy, and everything was kept clean. Bathroom facilities and kitchen amenities are maintained well, overall great stay!

This place provides nice rooms in a traditional Japanese style house with good facilities. It is located in the center of Takayama. Easy check-in and check-out process. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Sho is an exceptional host, who goes above and beyond for the guest. I have a privilage for visit many countries and cities, but this is so far the absolute winner.

A truly beautiful and peaceful place. The traditional Japanese interior is warm and full of character, with wooden details, tatami floors, and a very cozy atmosphere.

It was extremely clean, much bigger and more spacious than I expected. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, and the location was perfect.

Great location, right near the station so easily accessible. I just loved the smell of wood and how natural everything was. It was truly a unique and beautiful place to spend a couple nights.

The building is old, the floor are VERY squeaky, but it's beautiful. The staff are friendly and explain everything, the other guests are generally nice and you can make new friends.

My 2-night stay at K’s House Ito Onsen was wonderful. The traditional shared room and common area were great with a nice view of the river.

Chill vibes, employees are cool and they speak some English if you need it. They give great recommendations on things to do in the Ito peninsula. Get the breakfast, it’s amazing.

They have a nice foods, and the room was si clean, all staf was so friendly.

I really liked my stay here. The facilities are great, especially the large kitchen and the big common room and the outdoor theme really enhances the experience.

Our family of four enjoyed staying here. It's a budget place but they look after you well.

Reasonable price. Room with air con, heated fan, heatable blankets. Includes a very convenient shared kitchen and showers (includes laundry for a small fee).

It was such an amazing experience to have Sakura Guest House as our hostel.

The hostel is in a beautiful old traditional wood house. The room I stayed at was very cosy and comfortable, even the futon had a heated blanket to warm me up in the coldest nights!

Lovely stay, close to everything and it has everything that you need. It's a charming wooden structure house. Great BbQ room.

Very nice, cozy, and clean. They have a lot of local recommendations and the staff is more than helpful. Free laundry and breakfast too :D.

The rooms are really clean and comfortable and the common area is nice. Our room is on the top floor with nice views of the mountains. The whole place feels homely and cosy too.

First, you have the stunning design of the house, nestled in the heart of the forest, peaceful and refined in that uniquely Japanese way.

The most beautifully restful stay. The food is incredible and such a treat (7, 000 yen for a multi course tasting menu! ). Amazing ambience and hospitality — we felt super zen and cosy.

Best location for a reset before we headed to Tokyo. Ride a bike around the village. Visit the salt makers. Go to the cafe. Visit the fish co-op.

This place is cool, cozy, and a little eclectic. It has an old, charming aesthetic that is very different from other hostels that I have stayed in. The bed space is good.

Nice place to stay, nice staff and food. It's a 15 minutes walk to the Shizuoka station which is really convinient. I recommend this place if you want to stay in shizuoka city.

Clean, safe and quiet environment. Great for solo travelers.
Everything was clean. The kitchen was fully stocked (although I didn't find scissors). The building was easy to find and access.

It's spotless, the stuff is friendly and if you stay here at weekend you can enjoy beer, coffee… at the restaurant on the first floor.

Stayed one night at a single room in the annex building. Very nice and modern room, a bit small but enough for one person and to store luggage. The showers and sinks were very clean and modern.

We had three of us staying in their private three-person room upstairs in the annex building.
It was cozy! Minimalist, but just barely enough space to be workable.
The staff was very helpful.

I've really enjoyed my stay at Yanagiya. It's a beautiful, clean, well run guesthouse in a perfect position to visit the town and the surrounding rural area.

This is a lovely hostel run by friendly family. Would recommend to backpackers off the normal tourist destinations.

We had a great stay at Backpackers JINYA. It’s a simple but comfortable place, perfect for budget travelers. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the common areas are nice without being noisy.

We loved our stay at Jinya Backpackers. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and private (despite having a curtain door). The bathroom facilities were clean and frequently quiet, despite being shared.
