Hard to say anything negative about this place. The service was kind, the rooms were immaculate and well lit, it was clean and the buffet was a treat.

This is a wonderful ryokan! I highly recommend it! The host is amazing, always willing to help and give you a ride if needed. The private onsen is perfect and can be reserved for a convenient time.
I chose Hinodeya as I wanted a place close to Izukogen station. It's a 10 minute uphill walk from the station and is located on the main road through town. Taxi fare from the station was reasonable.
I really enjoyed my stay at Hinodeya ryokan. The staff is lovely and always ready to help. I booked a cosy single bedroom which I found with a nice futon and ready warm water for tea.
