Cheap hotels in Tokai

I arrived in the evening and was warmly welcomed by the hostel owner. The check-in process was smooth and pleasant, which immediately made me feel at ease.

Amazing place very kind people. The owners were very kind and caring. Location is very nice and quiet and more ideal for backpackers who want to travel in the nature here.

Stayed here for 2 nights to do the basic Nakasendo way from Magome to Tsumago. Well preserved old house located right in the middle of Magomejuku.

We had an overnight stay with two people. The stay was perfect from the initial welcome to checkout. The house is beautiful, the food was impressive and very tasty.

Loved staying here. Def not “bougie”, but homie and gets the job done.
There is an adorable kitty/pup duo that lives here.
Staff is so kind.

It’s honestly a great place to stay, the cat Oleo is so sweet. You get a transfer from the train station. Everyone working there is lovely and you can see Mount Fuji.

We booked a stay at Hotel SUI on a rainy day when we just wanted to relax and stay in, and it certainly didn't disappoint.

Hi.
I stayed at your hotel for one night. I just wanted to say that I had a wonderful night. Your staff were impeccable, friendly and generous.

I have stayed in literally over 200 hostels and this is Truly the cleanest hostel I have ever ever stayed in. The perks are endless, free massage chair free tea coffee and water free washing machine

Yado was a perfect place for my needs. It was clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly. This is a great deal for single travelers. The rules are simple. No shoes, no food no drinks in the rooms.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever been, after 2 years of backpacking. Organized, clean and tidy. Comfy bed. Staff is adorable and very welcoming. Highly recommended!

This is the best hostel I’ve stayed at in Japan so far. The place is absolutely beautiful and very clean.

I think the location is calm and the cost performance is good.
Rooms and facilities from prominent hotels along the national highway.

I used 205.
The whole room is very beautiful. There was no sign of use, and the interior, large TV, and bathroom were all of high quality.

Excellent service from the staff.
Very clean room.
Breakfast included in the stay.
Free curry at dinner great experience.
I'll be back.

I stayed here for one night as a starting point for a large touring event.

I booked a single room for my business trip, staying here for about two weeks. At first, I was a bit shocked because they don't have a bathroom, only a bidet and washbasin.

If you want to learn more find me on YouTube @GoExploreJapan. This place was nice … a bit older but in a good way. It was mature and warm not futuristic and sterile.

I had a stay with my wife and 5 month old son during a conference for 10 days. I have to start with their service, all the people there are very pleasing and helping.

We had such a great night at this stay. We whole ambience is so warm and welcoming and the room is just top notch.

Top-tier, hidden gem ryokan with superb hospitality and an immaculate view of mt Fuji. I absolutely recommend adding the delicious, home-cooked meals, and the private onsens were so rejuvenating.

This is a wonderful place to stay! The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. We definitely plan to return on our next trip.

It was great!
I was lucky enough to meet the dogs and cats, which was fun.
You can rent a shower, but there is also a hot spring nearby, so you can also go to one.
It was very slow.

Highly recommended this wonderful hotel! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Even though I haven't officially checked in yet, I just had to leave a 5-star review because my initial experience has been absolutely amazing!

Exceptional hotel with wonderful, spacious rooms and warm customer service.
The hotel is excellently located in a lovely part of Shizuoka, and is a perfect distance from Shizuoka train station.

Very very lovely ryokan, highly recommend!
It’s only a short 7min walk from the station, staff was very polite and made up the room daily.

Absolutely lovely and amazing ryokan, traditional but also comfortable. It's close to Iseshi station.

Room on 12th floor was immaculate, well lit and much bigger than we were expecting. Wi-Fi was fast and air-conditioning worked really well. Close to the station yet very quiet in the room.

The biggest downside: The room was quite small and offered practically nothing for storing clothes other than a few hangers and two hooks on the wall. I also didn't like the firmness of the mattress.

I stayed in a single room, and the bed was large and very comfortable. It was clean, and the TV was large and comfortable.
Breakfast is also satisfying with Japanese and Western food.

Today, I made a last-minute reservation on booking. Com for a room at kuretake inn premium numazu kitaguchi ekimae.

Great for a stopover on the way to Osaka from Tokyo. Location was super — straight off the highway. Service was good. Most notices were in dual language and staff did their best to accommodate.

I got a reasonable price for 2 nights (Twin room) in this Hotel with my family.

The Dormy Inn delivers very good services, including Onsen, Spa with hot water, available until 05:00am and traditional Japanese breakfast. One additional goodie is Ramen hot soup at 09:30pm.

We stayed in this hotel one night and we enjoyed the stay. The room was small but comfy and with amazing views to the castle. The onsen was prime!

Very clean and comfy hotel.

Very good hotel! So friendly staff and so many things for free also. Very costumer friendly :) the mattress was a bit hard, but beside of that everything was amazing.

I'm so happy to see all the positive comments still because we were there in 2019 and also had a great time at Ichifujiso. I'm glad it is still there. This ryokan is very traditional and cosy.

Everything was amazing in this place. Very traditional Japanese house and all the amenities are great! You have to try the ofuro… magnificent!
The hosts are an old and very sweet couple!

Besides the scary and narrow carpark and drive way (sorry for our not so good parking skill), everything about this airbnb is perfect!

Had a wonderful stay here while in Atami. The host was amazing and made sure we were well taken care of. He explained everything about the property upon arrival and even gave us treats before leaving.

Such a lovely and hospitable lady hosting us. Her service orientedness blew my mind.
For example. I requested an extra pillow. She immediately apologized. It's not even her fault.

I really like it here. I slept very well last night. The building is beautiful and clean inside and out, and there is a beautiful stream behind the building.

Stayed here for four nights during F1 weekend. Single room was clean and tidy. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Room was quite dated but fine.

We can’t ask for more for a last min booking for a spacious room. More importantly it has private Onsen we can use for free!
