We stayed at the Shimoda Tokyu for 5 nights and really enjoyed our time here. The hotel is modern, pleasantly appointed, comfortable and has some very nice amenities.

Impeccable experience and service. A woman's bag was lowly falling off a chair and one of the staff members rushed through half the room to make sure it would fall to the ground.

We loved the hotel. We had a Japanese room and slept very well on the futons. Onsen was WONDERFUL especially the outdoor one.

We recently spent 6 nights at Hotel Izukyo, and while the hotel itself shows its age, the experience was wonderful thanks to the amazing staff.

Our stay at Shimoda Prince Hotel was absolutely wonderful from start to finish.

A charming yet clearly aging hotel with a peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking views. The highlight is undoubtedly the onsen overlooking the ocean – a truly unforgettable experience.

My partner and I had a lovely stay here. Great room with a killer view and outdoor hot tub.

The view of the harbor from the beautifully polished glass windows is like a picture.

The indoor bath continues to overflow.

Chose this traditional Japanese inn based on the photos of the food and absolutely not disappointed.

Although it is an old building, it is quite beautiful. The food is a little sweet. It reminded me of Kusatsu Tsutsuji-tei, and the room had an open-air bath, even a bathrobe.

I stayed here on September 6th.
There were reviews on travel sites that said the temperature of the hot springs was low, but there were no problems at all and the hot springs were very good.

I think because of low season, hotel is quite empty. Therefore it’s very comfort environment and makes you feel so relax. It’s at a walkable distance to restaurant area and Shimoda station.

We took the room with the side view and the private onsen. It was better than heaven and the price is really affordable. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Highly recommend! Probably one of the best hotels we've stayed. It doesn't have the largest room, although small, but feel very comfortable.

What a great stay! First off, the view of Fuji is beautiful, and you see it from the breakfast and common areas, as well as the private onsen.

This was the best experience we had in Japan. Beautiful traditional stay with very good food. I don’t eat meat and the hosts were too kind to change the meal for me. The onsen was also very nice.

Had a lovely stay at Ryokan Tanaka. The owners were very friendly and accomodating, keeping our luggage in the morning before we went to Kamikochi and helping me fix my broken suitcase before we left!

Stayed for two nights in this luxury hotel. The hotel grounds is sprawling, with own golf course. Quiet and peaceful. The breakfast buffet was also awesome. Kudos to the attentive and friendly staff.

Spectacular resort. All the stuff members are incredible hardworking and attentive. Food was phenomenal. I love the combination of Japanese tradition, music, arts and sports.

I can’t speak highly enough of our experience at Konansou.

Fufu feels calm and peaceful once you enter, you have no idea how many people actually stay there as it’s so quiet and private.
Staff were all welcoming and friendly.

We loved the hotel, even if we were not extremely lucky with the weather. The rooms are great and a private onsen in the room made a big difference.

We spent a few days with the family and had an excellent experience. The location, the staff, the room, everything was perfect.

We arrived too late and missed the shuttle bus. After communicating via a public phone at the station, the hotel staff arranged for a small van to pick us up (at shuttle bus waiting spot).

I would not have found Hotel Koryu had I not heard about their Osomatsu San collaboration. I was staying in Tokyo and saw on their social media that there was some last minute availability.

A fantastic hotel only 2kms from Kawaguchiko station (it is walkable).
It is a 5 minute walk to Ubuyagasaki (the photo location).
It is a 3-5 minute walk to the Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway.

Came to this hotel by mistake (had a reservation in a different city). The staff was very professional even though I didn't have a reservation there.

I stayed at this hotel after my fiancé proposed to me, and I can honestly say it was one of the most magical experiences I’ve ever had.

I booked a non-ryokan room. The room is spacious, no problem at all.
There was free snacks provided in the room.
There is an indoor and outdoor onsen.

Excellent hotel. It had a great vibe, was clean and had friendly staff. They alternate between a Japanese and Western breakfast. The Onsen was great and so were the rooms.

The hotel’s facilities are not too much. The onsen is underwhelming and the hotel amenities like shampoo soap and conditioner were of low quality and caused me to get allergies.

Very very clean room, toilet and bedding. The barbecue setup is awesome. ¥2, 800 per adult if you order the food from there and ¥1000 plus if you bring your own food and just use the facility.

Wonderful hotel with superb facilities catering for all your needs. Spacious, luxurious room with a fantastic in-room onsen overlooking the ocean, and free drinks.

My stay at Pearl Star Hotel Atami completely lived up to its reputation as a "scenic view hotel. " Every aspect was designed to showcase its stunning seaside setting.

We stayed here for 1 night and enjoyed it. Room was small and we struggled a bit opening the luggage but for one night only it's okay.

This budget hotel tries their best to help travelers: free shuttle bus to train/bus station, free locker to luggage, self-service laundry room, fairly comfortable bed and shower, free basic breakfast

Our experience of this hotel varied enormously from the first room few were allocated, a Japanese style room, to the second, which was a western style room.

We enjoyed this hotel with its own onsen. The onsen is well decorated ans very convenient. We had a Japanese style room. The best we has so far. Spacious with huge window.
