Excellent place to sleep near the historic center of Matera and not in the restricted traffic area.
The Peccato Originale holiday home has all the comforts and plenty of space.
It is convenient for arriving at via D'Addozio, the Sasso Barisano road, and also for arriving at Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
➜ Beautiful experience… 2 very pleasant days, too short for an interesting city like Matera and its surroundings!
We had a great time, the arrival under the incessant rain was "played down" by the sunny welcome of Valeria, fantastic and exuberant (we are waiting for you in Rome! ), who welcomed us by illustrating a wonderful Eden suite and giving us some tips on places to visit — despite the rain — truly ad hoc! … not least the Van Gogh restaurant/pizzeria.
The possibility of staying with our two furry "wrens" made the difference for us… in addition to a strategic position 5 minutes walk from the main square.
The owner Giovanni was also kind and extremely helpful with times and needs… also booking us the tour of the stones (a passionate recommendation, the guide Antonio Pizzulli from AltieriTour… he's the best! ).
A clean, quiet, hospitable environment with a strategic position are certainly its focal points…
In short, everything was perfect, only the breakfast could be improved in terms of quantity and variety of choice.
We'll be back with more days to spare!
