Peten Hotels

As part of our trip around Guatemala, this hotel was a highlight.
The rooms are clean and well air conditioned. Staff is extremely friendly — especially Elmer, our breakfast waiter.

Fabulous location, with our room actually over the lagoon. Extremely private setting. Great nature viewing from our back deck as well as the path outside our door.

Awesome! Perfect place to stay a few nights. Just 45 mins to Tikal, if you want to Visit.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Having breakfast and dinner included was a great touch, and the food was surprisingly good given it’s included.

Showed up on the island with no plans. Bus was supposed to arrive at 4pm, but ended up being 7pm. Had a little trouble finding a hostel or hotel to house me, wife, and one other friend.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Tikal and the surrounding area. The rooms are clean, breakfast is included, and the staff is delightful and very helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for five days last week with our family, and it was a great experience overall.

Not sure why previous reviews are so concerned about screw hole locations and moulding edges… my wife and I just spent 4 days at Hotel Tepeu and couldnt have been happier with our choice.

This is a luxury hotel on the outside. The pool and common areas are lush and plentiful.
It is clean and safe.

The hotel is nice. The location is good as it is in the heart of Flores. However for Tikal, I’d recommend to stay in Tikal rather than Flores, as the drive is more than one hour.

We did not stay here, but came to meet our shuttle to Tikal. We ate breakfast at the restaurant while we waited, which was delicious.

What an amazing hotel! I ended up staying there 5 nights, it was hard to leave.

Humberto is a very chill and helpful host. The beds are comfortabel and the rooms clean. He informed us wel how to get to Flores and Tikal. Very reliable and relax location.

This was another really good hotel from the "Hotel Villa" series of hotels in Guatemala. It has some really good aspects, particularly the dining areas looking over the lagoon.

We loved this place! A real treat for New Years.
The hotel is amazing and secluded with beautiful lake views (look out for Juancho the crocodile).
The pools are perfect and kept super clean.

The hotel is a little dated, but you can't beat the location, views or service. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

A very pleasant hotel with a family-like atmosphere. The reception staff are extremely friendly and seem to know every guest personally.

We loved our time here so much. It’s a bit like living in a jungle tree house, with beautiful views of the lake. My niece and nephew (4 & 6) loved the little pool to play in and cool down.

Exceptional place. We’ve spent Christmas Eve there and guys were absolutely amazing! The garden and terrace were a place where you would love to spend the whole time.

OK, if you want a tranquil location with great hosts, watching the Belize world go by you cannot go wrong here.

This is the second rime we stayed at this place. This time it was for 3 nights. First we had bungalow 7 with pool view, but the toilet didn't flush so they gave us the next day.

Our family stayed for 2 nights and had a great experience. Check-in was easy and quick. Our room was spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable.

I absolutely recommend this hotel. Staff is super friendly, hotel is beautiful and rooms are clean. Location is much quieter than Flores yet near enough of everything.

Large, clean rooms around a central courtyard. Comfy beds with high quality bedding/linens. Air con worked well, or you can rely on the ceiling fan. Didn't really need either at night in November.

Wonderful. We loved it. Private area on a great lake. We toured Tikal and then came back and swam until late after noon. Shoreline was great and with kayaks and lounge chair at the ready.

Hostel Los Amigos is a truly magical place, full of romantic charm and surrounded by lush tropical plants and trees that grow right inside the hostel.

We didn’t end up staying at the hostel but they allowed us to shower and relax while we waiting for our flight. Very convenient! The staff was super polite and made us feel at home.

Small stay at Alice's (2 nights), our timing imposing it. And it was very pleasant! We are a family of travelers (backpacks) of 5 with 3 children. We all loved it! Very good food.

The place is fantastic, the attention of Natali and Dimitri is 10/10, if you are looking for a nice experience recommend place.

We booked the balcony room for 2 nights. It's beautiful. 2 large beds, ensuite and a cute balcony overlooking the street below and the lake over rooftops opposite.

Casa Ramona has stylish decor, massive rooms, and a great breakfast. The staff is very warm and welcoming, location is perfect. I wish I stayed there for my whole visit to Flores.

First time staying in Hotel La Casona del Lago great area near the airport, Flores and Tikal.

This location has a pristine look and overlooks the lake. It is very minimalistic and facilitates conferences and business persons. The spacious rooms and restaurant makes you feel free of clutter.

Great price, clean rooms, awesome staff and central location. You can’t ask for more. The owner, Carlos is a very nice person and makes sure the guests feel comfortable.

Perfect location directly facing the lagoon and close to the pick-up point for the tours. I also want to mention especially the phantastic staff at the reception namely Mrs Gladys.

My three friends and I stayed at Las Luciernagas for three nights, and it was absolutely wonderful. Our room was very spacious, the bathroom was very clean, the beds were comfy and the AC was cold!

If you are visiting, Tikal or Flores or just want to go to the lake Peten Itza this is a great spot!
