Excellent, the little ones of the house enjoy watching the hummingbirds and the adults enjoy a hot drink in front of a nice fireplace, do not forget to bring a coat. Delicious food!

The place is amazing for bird photography! I have 4 visits and always want to go back! All the staff are super friendly, they make one feel welcome and they make your experience the best. The food is delicious!

Staff was amazing and the food was great. Bit of a hike up and down to Cabin 9 but the view and the gardens are spectacular. Used as a base for our birding trips in the area. Fabulous trip.

Wonderful place where you can walk along the trails we saw 2 waterfalls, the attention is excellent and the exquisite food have very varied menu for all tastes, I will go again I recommend rating 100

It is a very nice hotel with very well kept gardens. The restaurant is super comfortable with a great view. The hummingbird deck is sensational, being able to see about 4-5 species in less than 5 meters is incredible, an experience that is necessary to live.
The place is very cold and the access to the Hotel is about 300m from the main route in good condition.
Highly recommended for hummingbird lovers and bird watching, some endemic to CR.

The place teaches us how fortunate we are with so much nature. I loved the treatment and the charisma of Mr. Alex Vargas, who greeted me as a friend. All staff very respectful and polite. It feels like home. The food is spectacular and needless to say the trails and the hummingbirds. Until a Quetzal we see, it was quite an experience. Loved staying in a casita at this beautiful lodge high in the mountains! Fabulous birding right on property and farm near by a private tour to photograph the Resplendent Quetzal eating avocados. Thrilling!

Excellent place especially hummingbird photography. For a lot of rain we could not observe the quetzals.

An excellent place to clear and be totally quiet, the staff is very attentive and always willing to help, the hotel facilities are in perfect condition, with very good maintenance, the cabins very cozy and with excellent views and finally The food in the restaurant very good, totally recommended!

Pretty Cold But it's part of the weather. You Have to go prepared.

Take a warm jacket. Nice and clean. Go on a trial Gigantes. Dont go on organised watching the quetzal, waste of money-60 USD. You Will see nothing. This birds you Will find around the hotel.

Ideally located for spotting quetzales (with guide to $30/person anyway). The standard bungalows are too small. Beautiful park with trails. Hummingbirds on the terrace thanks to a "manger", squirrels, flowers and beautiful view. Breakfast OK Good meal at reasonable price.

Perfect to unwind. To be away from the everyday.

The rooms are very acovedoras. Excellent weather. Beautiful trails and quality food.

This place was totally amazing though they could make a couple changes. The food was really fantastic. The staff very helpful and the price very affordable.

Beautiful setting and great food. Lots of hummingbirds. Some rooms are down the hillside and a challenge for older people or those with physical disabilities.

First, we had to give ride to our guide who did not have a car to drive. We were able to see quetzals thanks to their network with farmers who give information on where quetzals are. However, the tour finished in about an hour because we found quetzals easily. We would expect more for $30 per person. We were happy to see quetzals but we also felt ripped off.

The hotel is very nice made up of a main building (you can watch hummingbirds) and cabins for the rooms they all have beautiful views. There are hikes all around.
To see the quetzals you have to get up early. Careful it's very cold.

The view here is beautiful and there are many birds (especially humming birds) to look at.

I loved here very very much. One of the best hotels in Costa Rica. Take a warm bath and sun goes down. You will never forget this. We had great dinner here as well. One of the best meals with very reasonable price. We could not believe this quality with the price of meal. Good service as well. Definitely would like to go again! Also we could meet many quetzals by tour!

We really enjoyed our two nights at Parasio. The location is remote and private, offering wonderful vistas of the surrounding mountain range. We stayed in cabina 2 which has a great view of the mountains and sunset. At the lodge you can relax by the fire while watching a flurry of activity from hummingbirds. The service provided by all the staff at Parasio was very considerate yet understated. The staff were attentive and highly professional. One of the highlights for us was taking the sunrise tour with Wendy. She was knowledgeable about the regional history, mountains, habitat and Costa Rican culture and very willing to share her expertise. If you are looking for a place to unplug from the world, this is it!

Paraiso Quetzal Lodge is the best place to stay in the high mountains, especially if you are a bird watcher. The cabanas are beautiful and have heaters. The restaurant is great and the food delicious. We have stayed there twice and will again.

The best place in the country to rest, is spectacular, the attention is excellent, the food delicious, the upper bungalow too beautiful. We live an unforgettable experience. Now we understand why it's so hard to make reservations, it's just perfect.

A place where you breathe fresh air, a site filled with lots of excellent flora and fauna to walk and you don't pay to enter the parking trails and a very nice people the park guards are very good people and collaborators a clean and very nice flirt!

We visited it over the weekend and had a great time. It is a cozy place with great service and amazing views. Very good food and service definitely the best. It's a great value for what you get. The cabins are rustic but comfortable, it is a cold place so you have to be prepared although in the bungalows there are quite a few blankets and heater. There is no internet or TV in the cabins but in the restaurant area. It is the ideal place to rest and enjoy nature. On the property there are trails, viewpoints and a charming hummingbird garden. We are very grateful to Kevin, Andrew, Vinicius and Jesus for their attentions! We're definitely going to be :)
