Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Canada Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager, My name was mentioned on the board and we were upgraded to the Paradise Suite. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this! ) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. I had great month here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

Front end staff kind and knowledgeable about getting us settled. Large room comfortable beds. Excellent hot and cold breakfast. Don't expect in room movies and may be 20 channels for tv. $10 credit billed now for parking. $17 difference between express checkout bil and credit billed.

We were booked here as part of a wedding group. The downtown location made it easy to navigate to destinations throughout the weekend. All of our rooms were neat and clean, even though there were still renovations going on. Excellent helpful and friendly service. Also appreciate the free Wi-Fi which was pretty fast, and decent continental breakfast. Parking was also included but some inconsiderate people do take up multiple spots. Each room had 2 beds, and a pull out sofa bed. The bathroom is also spacious and clean, but uses a sliding door that doesn't close completely and without a lock. Overall, would recommend.

Cool new decor in rooms. Located not too far from downtown. Halls and stairway could use more attention. A half eaten banana sat in the stairwell for the 3 days we were there. If we did not go to front desk for a question we weren't acknowledged or greeted.

Rooms are nice — double bed and a couch that pulls out. Had ants the first night, not sure where they came from. Place is clean, breakfast is provided, laundry on site. A couple of coffee pods are provided free alongside the Keurig, which was nice. Staff is nice and helpful. Would recommend for anyone needing a place to stay.

Good rooms. Nicely renovated! Smelled slightly of mildew in closet though.

Room was nice, everything was clean, breakfast options were good. Wasnt a fan of the lack of vending machines and only being able to get ice on the main floor. Minor things but overall very good stay.

Really beautifully renovated rooms. The AC units are adjustable for tempetature and don't turn into jet engines when on full blast. The electrical was upgraded and not on the cheap.

Newly renovated, which is nice, but the "barn door" makes the bathroom weirdly public. I might be shy, but I honestly prefer to poop alone ;)

The hotel was nice and clean. They were in the middle of renovating the second floor during our stay, but we got rooms on the third floor which were newly renovated. The only problem I have is the style of the bathroom doors. They slide open and close and leave a gap on either side where you can see into when the doors are closed. Otherwise, everything else is good.

Newly renovated, clean and friendly staff. Good quality food and variety for a complimentary breakfast. Great value for the price.

Expensive. Rude staff. Parking lot spots are smaller than normal. Large vehicles do not fit. Security cameras are conveniently not functioning when vehicles are vandalized in their lot, thanks. There was a beer can and a hypodermic needle next to my car. Gross. Never again. Edit: Nick I feel you have a poor memory. I've stayed many times because I was placed there by my work. Your parking spots are several inches smaller in WIDTH than the average spot resulting in an issue parking anything wider than a pickup. Our trucks were broken into once. Then vandalized a few months later. Nothing caught on tape both times due to "malfunction" as your staff claimed. You booked us for a week and didn't warn us of construction. A coworker complained and we left. Several days later he posted a negative review on Google and you EMAILED OUR BOSS to lie and tell him we called your staff names (did your cameras catch that at least? Because I'd personally pay $5000 for the footage). Even if that were true, who are you to email someone's boss because of a negative review? How dare you! There's no confusion. You're just vindictive and bad at your job.

Super service… but the place has seen better days. 'Hot' breakfast was cold. If ur timid at all you might want to be 5 blocks away in any direction.

Enjoyed staying at Comfort Suites. Breakfast was good and the rooms were nice. Only a 12 minute walk from Ceasers Windsor. Not a ton of parking. Receptionist was extremely nice and welcoming. When he brought fresh food to the breakfast he offered us some as he walked by.

Fair prices and friendly staff. This location is undergoing renovations which should bring the old rooms up to this century but the rooms are big and spacious and have more amenities than you need.

Hotel itself was nice enough, but they have some awful customer service. Pre-payed through a travel site when I booked — them was charged again by the hotel (at a far higher rate! ) Then of course refused a refund. Do not recommend!

Clean hotel, nice rooms, good food and friendly staff. Good place to stay.

The room was nice. Hotel is close to some attractions. But the front desk staff doesn't know what they're doing if you made a reservation through a third-party site.

I needed a place to stay to visit my daughter and I chose this one, big mistake, furniture in the room is cracked, peeling very dirty. The lady at the front desk was quite concern about the damage we may cause, which I took as it happens a lot here. Bathroom had hair from other people in it. The hall way carpet looks like someone with muddy boots walked in they are so badly stained. I paid 178$ for this place so not worth it!

Amazing selection of new and vintage Cubans. The shop owner is a wonderful well knowlegeded gentleman. I continue to go back to this shop every time I visit Windsor.

The people at the desk was nice and friendly, the rooms were a little out dated but very comfortable especially the bed. Although I had a problem with the cleaning lady she came banging on my door at 11 telling me I had to get out it was checkout time, but I was told when I checked in I could be out at 12 because I checked in so late. I went and complain on my way back to my room I could hear the lady talking to another cleaning lady saying the reason I didn't want to check out was because I was smoking. Smh I wasn't even smoking, but I was told while I was checking out they handled that problem. Overall it was an ok experience.

Basic clean hotel, friendly staff and reasonable prices. I would definitely stay there again.

Staff very friendly and helpful. While a little out dated our room was clean and spacious. Delicious hot breakfast a nice change from continental.

This used to seem like a good place with friendly staff but things appear to have changed substantially. The place is under construction so if you enjoy being woke by the sound of hammers this is the place for you. The staff will do nothing to make your stay more comfortable so don't bother even asking. Just look at the van in the parking lot with the smashed windows, looks like a good place to leave your vehicle. And just to add insult to injury they are so over priced for what you get.

Very dated rooms, in need of fixes. Had a huge Jacuzzi in the room which was very nice. Bed was very comfortable. Couple block from casino, nice walk on a beautiful day.

Room was quite outdated and there were giant garbage bins blocking off parts of the parking lot. Our window looked out into said garbage bins so the view had much to be desired. Something like having an electrical socket beside the bed now a days would be expected. As for what came with the room we had everything that was advertised. Some of the staff felt unwelcoming. While checking in it almost seemed like we did something wrong just by booking with them. At least some of the cleaning staff were a bit more friendly when we passed by in the halls. The breakfast was nice and had a good amount of selection to choose from. Though the limited table space sometimes made it feel a bit cramped with all the guests staying over a long weekend.

The room was a King Size Suite. King size bed, and jacuzzi tub inside the room. Very nice room with comfy bed. Didn't have any disturbances while staying. I would definitely go again with Comfort Suites Downtown.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, very roomy and had decent hot breakfast. Only complaint was that we had a difficult time connecting to Wi-Fi with the Playstation for Netflix. Other then that, enjoyed our stay.

Area seemed a little sketchy, but it wasn't as bad as it looked. Hotel room was nice, free breakfast a plus. The waffle iron is choice. Price was good. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay. I was a little concerned about the neighborhood ay first but its all good. Great place for the money. Nicole was awesome and very friendly. She worked both days we were there and we saw her the entire time. She was knowledgeable of the area amd pleasant. The room seemed larger than a standard hotel room. It was clean amd had a spacious bed. A couple knocks, the 27 inch TV is small and should be elevated like on a wall or a cabinet. Being at bed level makes it uncomfortable to view shows. The shower is small to move in although it gets the job done. While the hot tub was very spacious and the most relaxing thing on our trip, the lights above didnt work. Its a minor thing but could have added extra ambience to the experience. The breakfast was okay. There were hot items like sausage and waffles plus your other staples like fruit and juices. I would visit again. Not to far from ouelette st and all it has to offer in terms of food and within walking distance of a middle eastern community with tons of restaurants and markets.

It was an OK hotel. Somewhat old and needs updating but breakfast was good.

I travel extensively and can tell you the check-in experience is what distinguishes one hotel from another, The woman working the check-in February 10, 2016 was the best I've experienced in the Comfort Inn price group for quite a while. Even though there was a check-in line-up she acknowledged me right any and set my expectation. Well done.

The parking spaces are very narrow. The staff is friendly but the hotel is a refurb of something much more tired looking than it's willing to admit. It smells old. But it's definitely okay for an overnight stay after a game in Detroit before heading back to Toronto.

Nice and close to the lake. And very warm staff.

Nasty rooms. Won't be staying here ever again. – 3/10
