Stayed one night for a business trip and everything was great for the low price I paid. Room was clean, free breakfast, nice employees, great channel selection, HBO, tea and coffee in the lobby at all times of the day, and the location was close to everything. Would definitely recommend.

Nice place and centrally located at highway 70 24 intersection. It is usually full even in the off season so call early if you are wanting to stay here. They have a pool and workout center. Also a pretty good free breakfast as well.

Our family of 5 stayed in a double room with a roll-away bed. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was good, it included pancakes, eggs, sausage, muffins, cereal, toast, juice & coffee. The pool was not open for the season when we stayed but appeared well maintained. We only stayed 1 night so I can't comment on housekeeping. It was a 10 minute drive to the beach & convenient overnight stay for us when all the oceanfront hotels were booked for the weekend.

Very nice people, willing to help with any questions. The morning breakfast is wonderful. Will visit again if we're here again.

Great room! The lights were lit for me when I got in. I had trouble working the TV and they fixed it for me. No complaints.

This hotel was clean and service was good, but it is in need of a remodel in my opinion. Everything was a little outdated compared to other HIEs.

Staff were amazing. Extremely helpful and were great for asking questions about local area. There were some things that were lacking, like a fan in the bathroom, but otherwise a great time.

Good was the best I found and what I saw a good breakfast in the morning is fine for the workers very well.

Very convenient location, very friendly staff. Room was clean but the microwave was very small. We needed an accessible room; we really liked the roll in shower, but the handicap bars need some rethinking. The bars at the toilet were not placed properly to assist someone in getting up. We would stay at this hotel again.

Everything was very nice, very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful and there was a wide variety of items to choose from for breakfast. They did a wonderful job accommodating our 5th graders, chaperones and teachers during our enrichment field trip.

The best part of this hotel is Barb in the breakfast area. She works here butt off. All the others need to take a hospitality refresher course. Bath room sink fixture was loose had to hold it with one hand and turn it with the other. Management it's time to shake up your staff and repair the hotel. I am on the road 45 weeks a year and stay at Holiday inn and Comfort Suites. This hotel isn't up to ether standard.

Their service was top notch! Clean rooms and a great breakfast so you cant go wrong staying here. Thanks to all the staff you guys are awesome!

Great budget friendly hotel. The rooms are not expansive by any means but they are large enough that you feeling as though you are shut in a closet. The staff is friendly, and very helpful. They were quick to give recommendations for restaurants and services in the area which saved me from doing the research myself. The continental breakfast comes with certain room packages and represents a good spread with options for restricted diets. I definitely would stay here again if in the area.

Clean Property — Helpful and polite staff. We were in for a night, and our room was ready way early. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Plenty of outlets to plug in the electronics! We will use the location again. Very happy we booked it.

This was a very clean and pleasant place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar was amazing! The lady working kept everything well stocked and replenished. You couldn't ask for a more "comfy" place to stay.

Bathroom was disgusting. I had to have my husband clean it just so I could shower. Hair from previous occupants all over the room, dryer, bed, table. Both side doors that require a key card stayed unlocked for anyone to just walk in… Older lady that works nights was insane. Anytime my husband and I asked for a new key card, change of sheets, towels… anything… it was a issue. Front desk staff was extremely unpleasant. One of the younger girls at the front desk snapped at my 14 year old daughter because she asked for trash bags. Very Bad Vibes, a lot of negative energy there… look into a different hotel very filthy and unpleasant. See pics on tripadvisor and yelp.

The staff here gets 5 stars! Top-notch service, friendly people. Everything else is a 2. The facility lacks a finesse that should be expected. The breakfast, while free, is not up to par. Bread and bagels consumed by my family were stale. And not just one day out of the 3 we stayed. In the bathroom, water pressure was good, but the state of the tub was poor. Peeling paint… not appealing. And while the hotel was very clean, I saw a roach in the lobby, when checking in, and my husband saw one in our room. Definitely, not acceptable.

I'm Spire so I stay a lot at holiday inn. This is the worst I've stayed at yet. Mold in the showers, water stains on the ceiling and water bubbles behind the paint. Musty smell, looks like a cheap motel rather than a Holiday Inn hotel. Will be staying else where on the next work trip.

Over all it's mediocre at best. It's very obvious that when they remodeled the rooms they opted for the cheapest contractors they could find. The wall paper in the bathroom is peeling off, in the shower the top half is just caked in about 1/4" of spackle to make it flush with the shower insert, wouldn't be as noticable if the shower bezel was attached properly. The list goes on, but I won't bore you with all of that. Just don't have you expectations set to high and it will be fine. It is still better than the hotel with the red roof lol.

I got in after midnight and was so impress with how "chipper" and helpful the person was at the front desk. The place is well maintained. Room was in good shape. Slept real well. Good internet with a simple pass code. Breakfast include eggs, gravy and hot biscuits. The only think they could have added to make it perfect for me is some cheddar cheese to add to the eggs.

Stayed in room 311 and bathroom was disgusting. Checked in at 2am so didn't have energy to change. Hotel has an interesting aroma about it. This is the first time I've stayed at a Holiday inn in a while and I definitely don't feel smarter for making this choice.

Loved our stay! King sized bed was wonderful! Everyone at front desk was helpful, great rate including a hot breakfast. Met an interesting couple at breakfast — Blackbeard's Pirates!

The only elevator had been broken two weeks, not their fault, still unfortunate. Breakfast was good, the rooms were clean. The pool needs a little love, but overall solid.

The hotel is perfectly located in Morehead City and close enough to my work location. There are plenty of restaurant choices beyond the usual fast food establishments. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bed is extremely comfortable and the air conditioning is wonderful. Finally, the breakfast buffet is what you would typically find in a hotel.

Stayed this past weekend. The front desk staff and the maintenance man there are the best! If not for them seriously I would have left. I think the main issue for this property is the housekeeping. We had 2 rooms and it was obvious one was clean and the other nowhere close (and they were side by side) so other accommodations were made for the dirty room to a much better room and it was clean. There was contact with housekeeping staff during our stay and there seemed to be some hostility going on between them… they were vocal about it in front of guests. Whoever is the supervisor for housekeeping needs to really get a grip because that department is the weakest link for this property. Standard breakfast, pool, and fitness room. Excellent customer service as far as front desk and maintenance person! Seriously poor housekeeping. Also, there was no housekeeping staff on property after 5'ish so the maintenance and front desk had to be the ones cleaning and getting "bed n bags" ready for sleeper sofas…

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Morehead City last night. Our check in was great. The lady at the counter was a complete sweetheart and her customer service was on point. Seriously, she deserves a raise. When we came to the room, everything seemed to be in place. The hairdryer was disgusting, but I wasn't planning on using it, so I didn't report it. Our TV remote wasn't working. Called down and she (the lady that checked us in) came right up to fix it. As we were getting ready for bed, we noticed that the bedding for the sofa-bed wasn't in the room, so we called down to report that. Another lady (she sounded older) answered and said that we needed to come down to get the bedding we needed. My fiancé wasn't too excited about going down to get it since he was already in bed and had to redress to go down. After that we noticed that we were missing the comforter for the sofa-bed. So we had the room hotter than normal so our son wouldn't freeze. Breakfast was okay. The pancake makers got clogged while we were using it, but the attendant was right there to fix it! House keeping came around 9 or 10 to check if we were still there. She only knocked a few times before letting herself in, luckily we were all decent. Check out was a breeze and overall, our stay was okay. We will come back.

Too much noise early in morning but staff was pleasant, bed comfortable, and everything was clean.

Good place to stay. Friendly, helpful employees. Good Continental breakfast offered. My only suggestion would be to take your own paper products with you! The ones provided were the worse quality I've ever seen.

This is a typical Holiday Inn Express. It is nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was more extensive than most similar places, which was nice. It is a few miles from the harbor and waterfront area in Morehead City. It is not walking distance.

We had a delightful stay for 2 days while going to see Cape Lookout Lighthouse, This hotel was remodeling and dealing with tour busses. The manager (Cheryl) was exceptional and we were very impressed with her. Holiday Inn Express should be very proud of there staff here and have a great location, the hotel will be very nice when remodeling is finished. Cheryl made this a highlight of our 3 weeks traveling. HIE should recognize credit where it is due.

Not the greatest service. Rooms and location good, but we had several problems with the staff, including someone that walked in on us without even knocking.

My husband and I stayed here in February 09. I am from the MHC area so I never thought we would have trouble finding a place to stay. Most of the hotels are not up to par for the prices they charge. We are on a budget and more picky now than we used to be because we have a newborn. The staff were very pleasant and the room was great. Very clean and comfortable. When we got there we were upgraded to a King Suite, so right off the bat we were impressed. Everyone there was more than accomedating for anything we needed. We make frequent trips to Morehead and we will never stay anywhere else.

Every time we go to Morehead City for business, we stay at this hotel. It has very excellent service. Friendly staff and homey atmosphere make you feel really comfortable. The showers are great as well as the AC units that don't cut on and off all night.
