BEWARE — BIKE STOLEN FROM PARKING LOT
The hotel was lovely / great location / awesome food on the patio but all of that ruined by the fact my MTB was stolen off the back of our Jeep. 😡😡😡. We were told there was no bike lock up and we couldn’t take it to our room. TRIPLE locked in and still violated. Absolutely CRUSHED 😢 — at Delta Hotels by Marriott Sault Ste. Marie Waterfront.

I very much dislike being forced to use Expedia to reserve my room. As a result, I cannot get a bill for my stay. Expedia stinks!

Here’s to Delta Hotel Sault Ste Marie, management and staff! These are the most amazing people we have had the pleasure of dealing with. We just moved to Sault Ste Marie southern Ontario. A very stressful process with covid. Then we had issues when we arrived and weren’t able to access our new home. The people at the Delta Hotel not only opened their doors to welcome us but did many extra things to help us They truly had our back They went above and beyond to help us during a very challenging time. We would recommend this save haven for anyone to stay! Thank you Delta staff!

Stayed 2 night for work at Sue area hospital. Bonnie the front staff was so nice and accommodating. She made sure due to the covid 19 situation that everything was decontaminated even down to the pens. Her service was amazing. Now as I was hesitant to going out for food thank god this hotel has a full restaurant for room service pickup in the lobby area. Marla was totally amazing and helpful… I totally recommend the steak.

Amazing place to work and be! the delta truly feels like family. Had my children's birthday here today and couldnt be happier! John made some absolutely delicious pizza and Nancy was incredibly attentive and interactive with everybody! I highly recommend visiting the Delta Waterfront in Sault ste Marie for all your needs!

Was here for one night and was a wonderful stay, wonderful views, but I think overpriced for the location. Noisy hallways near elevator, service hit or miss in the restaurant, and all rooms overlook the water, but only a few overlook the locks.

Stayed 4 days. View over the water was beautiful. Food was very good. Awesome stay. Will be back.

100% satisfied with our choice of hotel. The hotel provided close proximity to the boardwalk. The view from our room was spectacular. This hotel is in a very walkable location. The breakfast buffet was fresh and inviting. All the staff at the hotel appeared friendly and accommodating. The rooms and other amenities were clean and tidy. The Agawa Canyon Tour station is near by. Museums, restaurants and shopping are quite close too.

Beautiful location, just by the board walk. Could walk around to see museums, ships coming in, the locks, Whitefish island. Very nice rooms and amazing service, both at the hotel and the restaurant at the hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting.

Location of hotel is perfect, right along the river and not far from downtown. Rooms are nicely updated and have everything you may need, with the exception of a microwave. Hotel amenities are great. Restaurant and bar are nice, and the breakfast is worth the price. Definitely would suggest this hotel.

I can't say enough about this Hotel. Service is extraordinary, it's very clean and organized. My son and his beautiful bride were just married there and I have never had a better meal, along with the service. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you to everyone especially Jeffrey Johnston. It was a very special day for My son and his Beautiful wife! Thank you!

Really nice hotel and location. Excellent and quiet area, right next to the waterfront. Not too pricey, rooms where clean, pool and hot tub are excellent. Our only issue was that the phone in the room was not plugged in and thus out of battery so we had to go down to the restaurant to order room service. We got charged the room service fee and an automatic 15% tip was added after the machine prompted us for a tip which we paid. So we gave a 30% tip in total. I don't think this was the hotels intention, but it felt like a rip-off… Otherwise we enjoyed the hotel and the walk on the waterfront at sunset was amazing!

Delta by Marriott (waterfront) sure saved us!
After booking several weeks ago at another local hotel and having to leave with my family at 1 am due to unsanitary conditions. We were lucky enough to book one of their last rooms. Not only was April (front desk) amazing but the room is pretty fantastic! Clean, updated and a pleasure to stay in.
Thank you April and Delta for having such high standards for customer service and cleanliness. Will def stay here again.

Location was great for our needs, just passing through. We had a fantastic view of the water. My kids enjoyed just watching the boats most of the evening. Every staff member we interacted with was great and very friendly. We stayed in a 2 bed suite and it was perfect for our family of 4 and cat.

Enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Staff was friendly and rooms were very clean. Bedding was crisp, clean and comfortable. The view was outstanding! Had dinner and breakfast downstairs at View and experienced great service, great food and drinks, and it was wonderful that it was right downstairs.

This property was fantastic! Being very familiar with Delta, my friends and I were impressed with their service. Check in was smooth and detailed, thanks to Tyler! Our dinner at the View restaurant was fantastic. Food was tasty, service was good, and the Chef even came out! It was a wonderful stay.

Went for lunch with a friend. Food was great. Service excellent. Atmosphere was such that we were comfortable sitting and chatting after we finished our lunch. Friendly staff who didn't rush us out.

These guys are incredible. Parents were moving across Canada and the kids wanted to upgrade their room to a suite for a surprise on their road trip as it was their 30 year wedding anniversary. Tyler and staff went above and beyond and really made their night extra special.

Edited to provide full review. It started out as a 4 star review but I changed it based off my second stay here. The first stay was fine but there was a lot of banging in the hall and above us. For $139+ per night, I expect to be able to sleep well. Upon my second stay there was still banging in the hallway throughout the night.

Great rooms, beautiful décor and the deferral are nice. I was there for a Conference it served dinner was satisfying.

Great view of the international bridge and service was super helpful. Attended meeting and breakfast lunch service was above expected. Rooms clean with comfy beds. Would stay there again.

Rooms ok, great Wi-Fi, good service. Restaurant is ok (not great, a bit too expensive for the stuff). Don't bother with breakfast: it's often late and offers little choice.

As far as hotels in The Sault go, this is probably as good as it gets. Super friendly and helpful service when checking in, additional amenities we requested were taken care of before we could even finish loading in our luggage, the beds and linen are shockingly comfortable, and the hotel was quiet enough for a good night’s rest. Not sure what else you could need!

Each and every time I visit which is at least 3 times a year I am always amazed at the professional and friendly service. Walking in and being greeted by name is just the start. All staff from desk to restaurant to maintenance on a scale of 1 to 10 they are a fem for excellence. I call them all my Delta family and hopefully will return on summer. Kudos to all.

Excellent service! Accommodated several requests to lengthen our stay due to delayed travel. Rooms were very clean and well appointed and breakfast delicious.

Pretty uninspiring building on the outside, like a big sand-colored brick. But the inside is very comfortable with helpful staff.

The restraint is amazing great food and drinks. The staff are very friendly. The view from my room is the best.

Very nice meeting rooms. Clean. Modern equipment. Easy to find, thanks to good signage. Snacks good. Would have been nice if the water pitchers were refilled on break.

We were travelling trans canada and stopped to sleep and leave early in the morning again. We relaxed pool side and went for a walk on the boardwalk and slept very very well. The staff was very helpful.

Nice room and decent gym/pool facility. Was pleased that both the pool and gym were open until 11pm as well!

Went for Sunday brunch. What an amazing spread. There's always an amazing selection to choose from, including meat from a carvery station and an omelette station. The desserts are yummy, and they have the best waffles and whipped cream. My favourite go-to place on Sundays.

This is the gem of northern Ontario. Visit was in January. I am a worldly traveler and this place is outstanding. If you are in the Sault Ste Marie (Soo) area this is the must stay place. Staff is awesome and very accommodating. The food is spot on. I had a personal request for the cooking method of a ribeye and they delivered beyond exoections. Ths hotel is updated as well as the rooms. Very cozy for any trip. I am writing this review because the staff and accommodations have far exceeded any of my expections. If you visit the Soo, you have to stay at the Delta. Go visit Malia at the bar, she knows her drinks and a very good collects of liquir and beer. For those that are use to high end resorts. The only thing missing is valet and bell boys. That my be available during the tourist season, don’t know. I visited off season and this place exceed all my expectations. I will be bck in a few weeks.

The staff here were fantastic! We’re moving across the country and unfortunately we need to bring our dog and cat everywhere with us. The hotel staff were so welcoming of us and our animals. For dinner we ate at the lounge instead of the restaurant as last night was their staff appreciation night. Our server was polite, and his customer service was absolutely outstanding.
The bed was the most comfortable out of our (so far) three hotels. The pool was a comfortable temperature and wasn’t overly busy (mind you we stayed on a Monday).

This location is great. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the views are amazing. The rooms are clean and modern and the beds are very comfortable.

These folks are always welcoming,. Hospitable, and kind. The hotel is well-appointed and wonderfully clean, quiet and accommodating. But I have to give the most credit to the staff — from the guest services to the housekeeping and maintenance to the shuttle drivers and the restaurant team, everyone at this hotel is friendly and welcoming.

Hi I absolutely loved this Hotel loved the location on the river walking distant from everything we planned to do. The staff was very helpful and always asking if there was anything they could do for us to improve our stay.
But have to agree with the other couple that commented on the restaurant. We had to wait 15 minutes before we even seen our waitress we order drinks had to wait along time for them. She promised bread which never arrived till my husband asked when it was coming. We also had to wait an 1 hour, for our food which was cold when it arrived I think it sat in the kitchen. She was a very nice person but not a waitress the other waitress did circles around her we watched her customers get there food and they come in after us. You have a great restaurant just not the right person for the job. Sorry Marriott I love your hotels it's too bad you have the wrong person for the job.

Rooms are small but comfortable. What makes this property a 5 star hotel is the staff. People smiling all the time and very attentive to your needs. They went above and beyond. From the house keeping team to the front desk and the restaurant. Bravo Nice view of the St Mary's River.

Nice hotel. We only stayed one night, and most of it was sleeping, but there were clean and modern rooms, with a nice bathroom. The breakfast was filling and tasty. It's located close by the agawa canyon train station, so if you're interested in doing that, this is a good hotel to stay at. But be warned, this hotel fills up far in advance.

I travel a lot for work. I like Delta and realize they are getting through all their hotels to modernize, which is great. Food here was excellent, but not a lot of vegetarian options and I would say about 5-10 percent overpriced for the serving sizes and a 3 dollar room delivery charge plus tip is steep. Best most comfortable bed I have ever found to date in any hotel, in other Cdn hotels or other countries. Looked forward to curling up in it after a long day!

The rooms were great and nicely decorated. The view of the bay was very pretty. The pool and hot to was nice. I just wish we had a microwave in our room and small things like I had to go ask for tea bags and they barely had any flavors.

Nice hotel, nice room and awesome bed. Didn't get a chance to use many of the facilities but I wouldn't recommend their restaurant for dinner — we waited over an hour for service after ordering, the waitress forgot my girlfriends drink and the menu seemed small and overpriced. Aside from our experience in the restaurant I'd recommend this hotel.

Awesome place. The associate at the front desk, Kerri was so incredibly nice and helpful. Clean room, wonderful bed. Great view. Kids 12 and under are no charge at restaurant. After a full two days of driving it is perfect!

Ate at the View restaurant. We were staying elsewhere but reviews looked so good that we had to check it out. The crab cakes had this seasoned mayo that reminded me of my favorite 7 layer bean dip which I didn't think was needed on something that was already tasty. The accompanying shrimps were amazing, perfect. My bf and I each got the ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly but my cut was better with more marbling. Really tasty but overseasoned. It was way too salty. We were both still really happy with our meals and the service was impeccable which is why I still gave full stars.

What a great place! The mangers & staff were fantastic. My husband & I just stayed there for a week & everyone was so friendly, helpful & always smiling. Our room was so nice, clean & had an amazing view. This is the place we will be staying in the future. Oh, also the food was great!

Well appointed hotel on St Mary's River, in the Soo. Plush bedding, great work area in room. Nice bathrooms, small refrigerator in rooms. Beautiful views while dining. Good workout space and pool. Great location. Bike trails and shopping within 30 ft of hotel. Lovely cozy lobby. Pleasant as ND helpful employees. AND They ARE PET Friendly!

The best place to stay if you are visiting Sault-Ste-Marie! It is very well located on the river which offers a beautiful view. The rooms were clean and we did not hear any other tenants. Breakfast was not included with the room but we decided to have breakfast at their restaurant as we were in a hurry. They offer the choice of a breakfast buffet for 16$, or to order an American breakfast for 14$ and they serve delicious Starbucks coffee. The food was excellent and the price fair. The service was impeccable, they even had a little gift set and a kid friendly cup for my little one. I would definitely go back there the next time that I have to stopover in Sault-Ste-Marie.

This hotel is great. The location is convenient and with great views. The staff are friendly, the room was clean. I especially appreciated the heated tiles in the bathroom since it was still cold out. Love the counter space in the bathroom. I also liked that they were conservative with towels because most of the time, we don't need extra towels. The chair was very comfortable and the room was nicely decorated. It would be nice to have outlets by each bedside table for our cell phones, but not a deal breaker because everything else was good. Even the carpet was plush, not the regular hotel type, which was soft on the feet. We stayed in the Deluxe, King, Ocean View room. Our view was both of the bay and the station mall. Definitely, the place to stay while in the Soo.

Excellent location and view, right on the water. Room was very clean. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Washroom was modern and spacious. Heated tiles! Stand up shower was great with good water pressure. The restaurant (View) was amazing as well. We'll worth the stay in The Soo.

I stay at the Delta on business and have never been disappointed until this time. My room wasn't cleaned properly, I had a big rip in the sheers and beer and diet coke in the fridge that wasn't mine. The gym was really dusty it looked like they hadn't cleaned the floors in a while in between the weight machines is a huge layer of built up dust and dust bunnies on the floor by the exercise balls. I ordered breakfast room service 2 mornings and it came up cold both times the second breakfast was sent up with burnt toast and the older gentlemen that delivered it schooled me because my do not disturb sign was hanging on my door!
The upside is the shuttle which is on time and super convenient and my dinners in the restaurant were great too, however they need to switch up their menu, their taste of Ontario menu was amazing!

Great food, great staff, comfy beds and lots of parking too. The weight room was actually good, no worn out machines here. The staff is also amazing and helpful! The rooms are a bit outdated though; the HVAC controls on the wall did nothing, the shower/sink handles were loose, the TV lost signal randomly and/or froze, and the window was this 1980 small slide window that did not close all the way and produced a "howling" sound on windy days. Obviously an older building that they threw a bunch of new decorative furniture in.

The hotel is half an hour from the airport. The airport, I'm told often has zero cabs and if you don't book in advance you can find yourself sat there as a cab can even get to you, if you call on arrival. So I thought I'd call ahead to my hotel to book their shuttle. The woman booking the shuttle tells me, WITH NOT REGRET OR CONSOLATION, I have the shuttle booked for a flight 10 minutes before yours and I couldn't ask them to wait. ME: silent in disbelief. Then I ask, Is what you are tell me is that you can't hold the shuttle or turn the shuttle back around after you pick up the first flight to get me? All she did was sort of offer me the number of a cab company and NO APOLOGY WHATSOEVER. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER stay here again. Ever! It is my first time to the city and it won't be the last because of work but I will NEVER EVER EVER RECOMMEND NOR LET ANYONE WHO WORKS FOR ME STAY HERE! There are a dozen hotels in the city. Do they realise we have a choice? I know what mine will be next time.

EXCELLENT! Very nice hotel! Had dinner on Valentine's. Service was a tad slow but understandable because they were busy. Exquisitely nice hotel and good food.

The hotel was fantastic. The temperature in the rooms accommodated my personal preferences in an instant! The front desk staff were all friendly and the cleaning staff were exceptionally welcoming. The food provided for breakfast was lacking in quality and quantity. Overall great experience. Would recommend Delta.

Decent hotel. Rooms are a little small but clean and modern. Great view of the river. Restaurant was very good as well albeit a little pricey.

Stayed at the Delta two separate times and it was an excellent experience both times. Ample parking space, very clean and modern rooms, good restaurant, gym onsite, excellent staff. Couldn't really ask for more. Oh, and the view in the waterfront rooms are fantastic.

The room was great — very comfortable bed. Nice lounge area. Forgot my jacket in the closet and the staff nicely packaged it and mailed it to me. Received it less than a week later. Exceptional value. Would definitely stay again.

Clean room, good service, right by the river.

We stayed just for a night on our trip to Michigan. This Delta property is renovated, nice rooms, a good sized indoor pool and extremely friendly staff. It was a great stay for a great value.

Nice room decor, super comfy bed. We got a king size. View was amazing. Food was average. Menus were not correct. Said kids eat free but we were told those are old menus. Wtf? Overall a good night stay.

Excellent food and dining experience. Very warm and inviting atmosphere. Very friendly service and reasonable prices for the quality of food being received.
