I am in Quarantine and have been looked after very well. Lovely clean room and food is great. So for the situation I am in at the moment I have no complaints.

Stayed for two weeks whilst waiting for our removals to arrive from interstate. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was good but a bit basic after 2 weeks. Room service menu was awesome. Food was delicious!

Jackie at the front desk is fabulous. Above and beyond with information and help and the guys in the Tram Bar also great service, even though the registers where down.

Very nice experience here for the night we spent. Good rooms and facilities. In house restaurant very good. Needing to pay for parking an annoyance, but it’s cheep so not to bad as a percentage of the room price.

Reception Staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Very comfortable beds. Close to the best I have slept in while at a hotel. Room wasnt the cleanest, toilet not cleaned properly and something splattered up the wall. Very thin walls. Woke by the person in the next room yelling at 5am. Wouldnt class it as 4 stars. More like 3.

Staff are friendly but the accommodation not so great. My room on level 2 was VERY noisy I could hear people out side all night, workers unloading a truck and cars hooning. Also could hear people in room next to me toilet flushing, showering and walking around their room at 3am (which they are entitled to do) I just don’t want to hear it! You can hear people talking in the corridor outside your room.
Parking is extra $$ and is outside
The carpet is coming apart in the room and the bathroom is extremely pokey and old more motel than hotel.
Beds were comfortable though and sheets were clean.

Great room, nice and clean, the King bed was amazing and made for a great nights sleep. Needless to say we get home and the wife asked me to find out what bed it was and where can we get one it was that comfortable. Sadly she left the leaflet behind that was in the room offering the purchase of a mattress.
Centrally located and walking distance to all the major shops.

The staff were friendly but for $139 a night parking should be included in the room price. The bed was very comfortable. The room size was ok but the bathroom was very small with no exhaust fan. The shower is over the bath with a shower curtain so it was rather a small space to shower in. … The cleanliness… Stains throughout the carpet, random hairs in drawers, the bathroom, the floor and bathroom wall plus a hand print and marks on the wall to the floor from who knows what. I showed a photo of the handprint on checkout and the receptionist apologised and said she would pass it on to the cleaning team.

My overall experience wasn't a bad one, other than them charging for overnight parking and the entrance door not working. The meal at the Tram bar was nice, the bed was comfy.

Great location for exploring the city centre. Staff were all friendly, helpful and down to earth. Ate twice in the Tram Bar and very tasty fare with great happy hour specials.

This was a large hotel that offered good clean rooms and 24hr staff right in the middle of the CBD which is great if you want to be close to everything. Good breakfast buffet included in the room price for me was a bonus. The staff were helpful when approached. Everything needed was supplied and car parking was very cheap.

Nice accommodations with a good location but the traffic noise outside and from other guests was too loud and caused some issues with getting sleep. Otherwise good value and nice restaurant as well.

Very good and clean hotel. Price included breakfast. Very friendly customer service. Room we had has a mini bar but no microwave or cooking facilities.

The room was nice and there were lots of things offered on the mini bar, we had a nice stay. The hotel is centrally located and is close to food and tourist attractions like cataract gorge.

For the amount we paid it wasn't that great. (Over $340.00 for two nights). The bed we had was taped together down the middle and they were two different heights making it awkward to sleep with your significant other. The sheets and pillows were low quality. The hotel in general seems like it hadn't been updated since the 80's, which normally wouldn't be an issue except that the LED lightbulbs that filled the room gave it a kinda grungy look you get at a highway motel. Book an Airbnb instead! We stayed at one for two nights and it was less than half the price of the hotel, the food was great in the morning and you were surrounded by wonderful views. Normally easy going, but if your'e going to pay that much to stay in a private room. You expect it to be a bit nice.

There are no microwave no plates and limited outdoor parking spaces. We had to park somewhere else after returning from dinner. Internet connection on and off. Staffs are friendly, room is clean, quite, big TV and comfy bedding. Recommends for one night stay.

Such an awful place to stay! Thieves run this hotel! So I checked in this terrible place early this week as a business trip booked by our office. Came back from a meeting one day just to realise that my new power bank is not on the desk where I left it, hence the only possibility is that it’s stolen. I contacted the reception and explained the situation and their only response was that “we’re not responsible for anything left in the room, you should’ve left it in the safety box”. Now I understand all the rules and acts but the question is, should I really leave everything in the safety box? I mean do you think that box is big enough to even squeeze my suitcase in this? Because it seems that nothing including my clothes are not safe in this place! I hope guests can read this and either avoid staying at this place or at least check in empty handed (I know that’s weird but that’s the only option left) Should mention that as a part of my company policy I am urged to report the incident to our office and managers for documentation, reconsidering further reservations and most likely blacklisting this hotel for their future business trips.

I’d give 5 stars for the location. We asked to change the room as soon as we walked in because it was simply depressing to be stuck in a grey, old and musty room that looked NOTHING LIKE the photos online. To add to that we had to put up with the loud music from the adjacent Princess Theater. The smell was dealt with a Glen 20 we purchased and sprayed in the room; the rest by spending much of the time out of it. The staff at the reception however were friendly and helpful.

Good value for money. Nice big rooms and the location is good — very close to the city centre but hidden away in a quiet street so there wasn't much noise. The reception staff didn't exactly seem on top form — check in was a bit slow and one of the receptionists seemed like she might have had a couple too many drinks but it didn't really impact the experience so I would still give them 4 stars.

Located in the vicinity of the city, there is a Chinese restaurant and other kinds of restaurants there is a large supermarket in the bar street, can buy bread and fruit drinks and daily necessities and other hotel rooms clean and comfortable elevator only insufficient is no toothpaste toothbrush.

We stayed in a superior room which was quite dated. The bathroom could definitely be improved. Location was good and quite central but I probably wouldn't stay again unless the rooms and bathrooms were updated.

Snappers is a nice small restaurant giving a slight exclusive feel. Food is good with high attention to detail.

Meeting room was bright and relevant for the event. Refreshments were fresh and tasty. Front of house service was very welcoming.

Stayed here for the recent Australian Lace Guild conference. A few issues, the Wi-Fi dropped out and made me log in fairly often, one of the rooms used for the lace workshops was cold and lighting was not ideal, and a power point didn't work well in my room. Otherwise, loved the tram bar, enjoyed some cocktails, friendly service, a comfortable bed, daily cleaning and tidying of the room, nice food, good location and a lovely view. Thank you.

My friend and I got this room on Groupon. Such a comfy bed and it has a bathtub. I'm one happy girl.

Room was great but needs updating. Didn't have a chance to try the Tram Bar and restaurant. Good location to cafes and shopping.

The ad stated that there was a gymnasium however when I enquired with reception she chuckled and said they dont have room however if I paid $10 I could have access to one up the road. Hallway also smelt like mould. They were gowever attentive and provided extra towels when asked.

No body wash, no lotion, lights inside the room are more dim than the hallway lights. Should use yellow light rather than white light. Only 4 channels for the tv, TV too small as well. Heater does not work either. Shower too small to be a 4.5 star hotel.

This motel has so much potential! The staff mean well, but there are so few of them, that they are stretched thin and appear overworked. As such, they are unable to provide the level of quality service that you can see they *want* to provide.

Two separate stays in the same week tells it all. Fabulous efficient staff provided a warm reception. Clean, well appointed rooms with monster beds. Central to town and walking distance to a variety of entertainment and dining opportunities. Extended car parking was a bonus to. Allow for shopping on day of departure. Impressive looking restaurant… next time :).

We loved our stay at Best Western Launceston. The staff were happy and helpful. The rooms were clean. Towels changed daily. The beds were very comfortable. I liked it when we would pass through the ground floor after returning or leaving on an excursion the reception staff would give you a smile or a wave. The housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful and Sarah and Jacob in the restaurant were friendly and welcoming. Well done Best Western Launceston!

Location is excellent. Price very competitive. Furnishings are OK. Bathroom pretty tired — bit dirty. Carpet also looking quite dirty. Girl at reception was nice.

It's not a very fancy hotel but the rooms are tidy and clean. Good value.

The room hasn't been renovated since the 80's, really old school. Shower was a bath, and shower head wouldn't start up — OK if you're 5 foot tall, but anything higher was terrible. No air conditioner, but did have s heater. Bed was really comfortable, as were pillows so that's a plus. Staff were helpful too, and laundry facilities were good.

Great location, disappointing room. Light in bathroom broke on our last day. Reception staff were lovely and legitimately helpful! Breakfast was worsened by overhearing staff eating the food and saying "how could you eat that, it's been sitting there for hours"… Not the worst hotel experience I've had, not the best.

I quite liked this hotel. Our room was beautiful, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was nice :) the first girl at reception the we met was extremely helpful taking out bags and offering us an umbrella. She called us when our room was ready, very good customer service from her. A few days later when I was confused about how the payment was taken I called and spoke to a lady at reception called Amanda. She was very patient and kind explaining the deposit/final payment procedure more then once. Again good service. If I ever go back to Launceston I would stay there again. I would also recommend to others.

Doesn't live up to the standard of a best western plus. Rooms are a bit shabby and in need of a facelift.
