Wonderful place to stay clean tidy and if on a budget this place covers it all the staff Henrietta and keren and the other ladies are such wonderful people that take there time out of there duties to help if needed I would recommend this motel to anyone.

Wonderful staff. Clean and tidy. Henrietta is very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Would definitely stay. Other reviews truly make my mind boggle.

Smelly dirty linen and pillows. The only reason we r staying is I pre paid and upon arrival weren’t even made feel welcome. Not even a back packer would stay.

Would give 0 if I could. Also went to their ‘restaurant’ and they forgot our table of 5’s food and we waited an hour and 10mins for microwaved meals. Then they bring out 4 plates and still forgot the 5th meal! Fifth meal took an hour 40mins and had a hair. Also discrepancies between everyone who ordered the same meals. Pretty gross, hope we don’t get sick tonight.

We stayed in a family cabin, lovely and clean, great BBQ area, laundry. Great value for money with friendly, helpful staff.

Quiet, convenient, we went to Strahan for the evening. Good heater. Missing the Gideon's Bible I wanted to read but there was one in the office. Maybe you have to ask for it. Good value for money.

The restaurant is lovely. Beautiful homemade fresh food. Warm fireplace. Friendly staff.

I stayed at the best hotels in Sydney and still complained. I actually am glad it was clean well presented and greeted by friendly staff.

Great views of the mountains around queenstown. Sunset was amazing especially in summer as the mountains werw glowing in gold. Very accessible location just few metre's away from the town centre. The hotel itself is at the lower end of a hotel/motel standard, yet times a bit worrying experience due to the presence of backpackers lodge and kitchen at the rear.

Refused to stay here. Room was musty and damp, called to cancel and owner refused to give any kind of refund or compensation. Had only been there 10 minutes. Bedding smelled like it had not been cleaned after last people had used them. Do not stay here unless you're happy to stay in a cold damp room without clean sheets or adequate heating!

Spur of the moment visit to Queenstown and picked this motel. Very friendly, room was clean with everything we needed.

Restaurant was a bit over priced for what you got. I was in a "non-smoking" room, but it was right above the designated smokers area so it stank like smoke.

Wow really lovely customer service with cute comfortable rooms. Loved the mountain views on our nice little 10 minute walk from town!

Clean and rudimentary but cosy with good quality beds. Friendly staff. Historical mining area with spec scenery.

Terrible motel reminiscent of those dodgy rooms where drug deals or illicit affairs occur. Dated Hamptons coastal meets 70's shag meets Kmart home section. Shower comes complete with dead insects and mugs with mysterious debris. Avoid.

We stayed as this was the only place left in town with heaps of empty rooms on Anzac day due to the long weekend. The place was thick with the stench of bleach I mentioned this and she showed us another room which was also smelling of bleach but not as heavy this I noticed later on in the night was masking the musty smell of the room, the only way to combat that was to bury my head under my jumper, the curtains were see through with no privacy they where coming off the the rails bathroom was moldy smoke alarm wasn't working the only reason we stayed was due to driver fatigue as soon as the sun rose we were out of there all I can say is check around town I would not recommend this place to anyone I only gave a one star which isn't deserved just so I could post budget motels should be ashamed to be associated with this owner.

Really good only $90 clean room and shower and tiolet also TV heater everything you need and helpful staff.

Rather old fashioned room but very clean. Comfortable bed. Friendly hosts. Good value for money.

Pam and the team were just lovely, very inviting, and pleasant to chat to. I stayed in a twin room with a friend, and the room was tidy and comfortable. The beds were nice to sleep on, an the shower was hot (though a little short, but manageable). Outside our front door we saw pademelons and fairy wrens, and the view of Launceston was lovely. Breakfast was provided, and they had cereals, toast, tea, and coffee. Boiled eggs could be purchased for an additional cost. We took a taxi into the city, and only waited 1 minute for it to arrive. Definitely bring a car or call a taxi, walking up that hill is a trek.

This is BUDGET accommadation but we liked it. Travelling on our motorcycles around Tassie we have stayed in a good mix of accommodation and Mountain View was very good for us. It has character and the staff were friendly. The room we had was large which was great to drop all our luggage and we still had plenty of room to move and it is an easy walk into Queenstown and the Empire Hotel for some good food which is also well recommended. Just remember the Mountain View is not 4+ stars and it does not pretend to be but it is still a place I would recommend to others.

Room was nice and clean and had everything you could need, including mini mugs and plates and dishwashing liquid and a mini fridge. The wall heater and electric blanket was a nice touch as well. They also include milk for coffee and tea in the morning!

These rooms were simple and homely, but had everything we needed. The friendly and helpful service was amazing and the views, just outside your doors are spectacular. If you're there on a Sunday, listen out for the bagpipes. The murals honouring the workers and industry in the area are amazing.

We found the rooms comfortable and affordable and great location to see the sites around the area. Bob and Marine are great hosts, even providing information on the area. We were blown away with the gentleman on the hill playing his bagpipes on Sunday. What a privilege :-) Thank you Mountain View for a great stay.
