This is a basic sort of place. Decent decor etc, but I found it quite expensive for what it was. Very small room, my room had no view (just of a brick wall a few feet away), and they do not make up the rooms daily (only change linens once a week, with a possible towel change once in a week) … Only 500mb of Wi-Fi data for computer/phones for the whole week as well. Some of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, but others were not. I would not stay here again.

Nice rooms. Room sixe not a problem for me. Noisy neighbour next door talking on his phone in middle of night wasn't appreciated. Nice little area but no trains and clunky spot to get into cbd each day.

Rooms are a touch on the small side but that wasn't a problem. Everything is very clean and tidy. The after hours definitely needs to be improved. I was asked to send ID copies via email (unsecured) otherwise I would not receive the after hours instructions. This is inflexibility is quite annoying, especially since other hotels I stayed at on this trip did not have the same requirements. Room 4/5 Overall service 3/5 After hours check in service 1/5

Clean and modern place but room too small for tourists like us with luggage. I think the place is more suitable for business people with hand luggage. Annoying fact that unable to keep bathroom door open when desired. Best part was kitchen/washing room.

Roadworks out the front of the property EXTREMELY loud — no sleep and completely disrupted TV signal and internet connection. After communicating to Management — they had very little empathy "The noise you mentioned may have been caused by roadwork/council works of which we have no control over the dates or the times. " As a comparison, I stayed at Meriton Apartments when they had council works happening and prices were reduced and ear plugs provided — great customer service.

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful rooms, comfy bed and very close to restaurants, hospital and public transport. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.

We were very happy with the friendly service and quality of the room, which was clean, comfortable, well-designed and had a lovely view. The location was perfect in being able to access the shops and public transport and we generally love the old buildings of Randwick. We have always stayed at Sydney Lodges and find them to have excellent service and rooms, at a reasonable price. Thank you. Sue.

Location is ok but far from the center. Rooms are modern but (standard small room) very small and not really clean. Bathrooms and rooms are cleaned every third night. In a sunny and sandy holiday just too little. You can't open two big suitcases.

We had a lovely stay at High Cross Park Lodge. The room was clean, well appointed and the bed was one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. The location was good with easy access to a supermarket and pub. The price was exceptionally reasonable. We will definitely stay again. Thankyou.

As always High Cross Park Lodge was awesome. I lived here for nearly three months when my husband was in hospital and since then we've stayed on several occasions. The first place I look to for accommodation in Randwick and surrounding areas. Highly, highly recommend.

Quiet place, clean rooms, but small in size.

Book a room for three people, got there late Thursday night and had to make my daughters bed. Only got two towels so always had to go get third. Didn't have a kitchen only had a fridge and kettle. And the room was never hovered in the 11 days we stayed. We did get fresh sheets part way through and fresh towels every three days ish. It is in a good location however and bus route is just round the corner, Coogee is a 15 walk down hill, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes. The ritz cinema is also round the corner.

Rooms are fairly small but at least has its own bathroom and not a shared bathroom. Pro tip, there's a gate out the back that you can use to quickly head south for food.

My husband recently had open heart surgey at prince of wales hospital randwick we had to find emergency accommodation this lodge is literally across the road from hospital and close to transport & restaurant royal hotel close by which has good cheap meals & cold beer when pressure gets to much Julie the receptionist was amazing squeezing me in at moments notice as we had to stay longer then anticipated I would recommend high park lodge to anyone who has be there for family in hospital or even for a weekend away prices one of the best in Randwick except for Allison lodge which is more of a backpackers hostel.

Beautiful hotel. Room was great except for the shared laundry. The rooms do not have their own iron/ironing board which was annoying. Other than that it's a great place to stay.

For the price, excellent! Welcoming, clean and warm, and located right next to the hospital I had a course at; couldn't ask for more!

Clean, affordable and quite accommodation. Strategically located near the Randwick hospitals and the University of New South Wales.

Prices were great and sleeping arrangements were fine. Only minor complaint is that we stayed there on a night before a 16 hour flight and we couldn't find enough outlets in the room to charge all of our devices. We had to carry our luggage upstairs and there was no visible elevator up front. There was a handicap entrance in the back that we never saw (which could have been a solution). Overall it suited our needs for the single night we stayed. Good location with many shops around.

Except for the location you are not buying anything else. The staff is rude, the rooms are small and in general is not very clean, check your room before paying for it. BE CAREFUL WITH JULIE! She is the worst receptionist ever. The cancellation policy is a joke and underlines what's legal and not. Perouse Lodge, Avoca and High Cross Park lodge they all belong to the same owner so they all have the same crappy service and facilities.

Price/performance was good. Sydney is expensive and from here you have 30minutes by bus to the city center. No breakfast available but some restaurants around.

This place was just what we needed when visiting Randwick. We had to find Randwick accommodation in a hurry and the UNSW helped us find this beautiful place. Big and heritage style, it was fun to stay in such a clean guest house with a great feel.
