Old men with tab facilities / screens in the best bar — sigh. Has a nice verandah though to sit in the winter sun and watch the world go by.

Very nice room quiet comfy and modern style. Good bar & gr8 food at reasonable price. Would stay again.

Traditional and historic pub very close to “the spot” dining hub and close to the Randwick shopping strip and the prince of Wales hospital and the ritz cinema. It has a take away bottle shop that is open late and it is one of the latest open bars around the area. The interior, drink and food offerings are standard for what you would expect from a suburban pub.

Very clean & comfortable. Parking available for guests. Food was lovely.

Quiet, comfortable hotel so handy for those in need of accommodation when family are in any of the Randwick hospitals. Good food and bar down stairs. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Haven't eaten here, just had drinks. It has multiple areas, but I don't find it flows particularly well. Haven't seen any of the food. Has a great look from exterior, and is conveniently located for Randwick.

Beautifully restored pub. Lovely rooms, great beer and food. We will be back on our next trip to the Big Smoke.

Ohhhh this place was so nice and modern! Walked in through the main doors to a beautiful crystal HUGE chandelier and lovely carpet steps up to the perfect rooms. Everything is secured by tap cards only guests get one and the room is all brand new, very comfy bed and amenities. Loved it! Thank you so much for a well needed night of rest!

Decent but ordinary pub. Well priced and tasty lunch menu is the reason I go from time to time. Lots of choices for $15 or less.

Spent the last 4 nights here. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Well designed rooms with very comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms with good shower pressure. Extremely clean. Great Pub food available downstairs. The rooms are also super quiet.

Fantastic place to stay & we had the Disabled unit & it was brilliant for what we needed. Amazingly polite & helpful staff. I am a Coeliac & need Gluten-free meals & the Bistro Chefs were so helpful keeping me safe. I would highly recommend this establishment as a top place to stay in Randwick.

The rooms are on the small side but modern, clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of good dining options near by and in the hotel itself. Highly recommend!

Stayed here for a couple of nights in the family room. Plenty of room. The noise from outside was probably the only downside, they did provide earplugs though. Great food downstairs. Decent location, close to buses to get to wherever you need tp go.

This is very nearby to Randwick centre and good option for lunch dinner or stay. They have less variety of food but it is sufficient menu. Quantity of food is little less as compared to others but good seating and pub. Good for evenings drink and live music.

Review of the food only and not the accommodation because I have only experienced the food. I ordered the 250g Lunch steak special. At $15 it's well priced if it was actually any good. The gravy was way too watery, barely any chips and the salad tasted like dirt. The main star of the show, the steak was chewy, fatty, and cold at the center. I personally wouldn't recommend. Staff were polite, brought food over. No complaints there. Gaming area was clean as well. This was at 12-1pm.

Second time I have stayed here (2015 + 2017, review from two years ago below), and the accommodation is still great. The rooms are super clean, although some of the bed linen now has small stains. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and the bathroom is great (especially having four towels! ). The rooms can be quite small, but for the location, cost and quality, this wasn't a bother at all. Although you cannot hear people in the next rooms, you can clearly hear everything in the hall. However, once everyone turns in for the night the place is dead quite. The hotel has live music Friday and Saturday nights, but this is also a non-issue as you don't hear a peep from downstairs. The staff are super friendly and helpful as well, both at reception and the bar. The bistro has a good mix of food options, but the green curry is super rich and has way too much fish sauce added. Beds are super comfy, location is perfect, and the food downstairs is pretty good.

Friendliest staff and awesome food.

Rooms are good, comfy bed, clean. Staff were very friendly. Issues I had were noise and access. Friday night I could hear the pub band pretty clearly until midnight, and people yelling etc outside. In terms of access there is one stair case, with reception at the bottom. Every time I was trying to get up and down the stairs people were blocking it while checking in or out.

Always have a few drinks here when I come done October long weekend. Great pub.

Went there today before the lunch rush, my colleague order his meal I ordered a chicken salad, 70 minutes later my meal still hasn't arrived, I ask the girl behind the counter politely to check, she says she cant leave the till, I then walk over to the kitchen, there is my ticket sitting doing nothing, I then go back to the girl and ask for a refund, she promptly opens the till pulls out my 12.50 and slams it into my hand, I did nothing to warrant this, I was nothing but polite and she didn't even apologize for my meal not arriving. I'll never go there again!

Great food, not super cheap but still a good feed.

Comfy room, lovely bathroom, flat screen. Bistro open for lunch and dinner, nice wine list. Gorgeous old building, parking is first in best dressed. Close to everything.

Had a social event here. Plenty of space on a Saturday night, good crowd and great food.

Older styled tradie pub, bit out of keeping with the affluence of the area but does the job.

Looking for somewhere reasonably priced near Sir John Clancy Auditorium at the uni and picked this hotel out of a few other possibilities. Very happy and surprised on arrival to find it better than I expected. Enough room for 3 of us (married couple and adult daughter) immaculately clean rooms. Gorgeous and comfortable bedding, free parking — one of the reasons we booked. Hotel is walking distance to a an amazing variety of dining venues. Only stayed one night for daughter's competition but would love to go back and enjoy a couple more nights in the luxury of this gorgeously refurbished hotel.

Great hotel with really courteous staff and blazing fast service. We went as a large group of around 20 but our food was served within ten minutes of ordering. The food was quite tasteful as well and the wait staff was very charming. Great place for larger groups and for office functions.

Did have an awful burger chock full of overwhelming herbs but after letting management know, they took quick action to review and improve the recipe. Second time we went and had the same thing the burger was very good. Ok chips. Service great, quick, lovely bar staff. UPDATE: Went again recently and burger was back to inedible. Dripping in some kind of smoke sauce, really awful plus a piece of tough rubber cheese stuck on top. The side salad was 75% blue onion. You'd have to try very hard to make such an awful hash of a salad and burger. Friends too have sworn off the place after recent visits.

Convenient location with parking available. Room was really nice, and seemed very clean. Handy having a restaurant on site.

Sweet and stylish digs man. They had a family room for us to share with the kids. Perfect location with bus just outside and we didn't even hear any of the shenanigans from the pub downstairs.

Great facilities great service. Nice specials (I changed my drink because of the beer special). Toilets had some loose paper on the floor, but not something I blame the establishment for),. A very nice place (quiet and relaxed) for our social event.

There were 2 or more large groups there so food service was slow. The food itself was good. Have been there at lunchtime on other occasions with no problems.

Just stayed the weekend. Room was comfortable clean quiet and crisp. General Hotel ambience smart for the price Will use again.

Good food. Contemporary looking pub. No arguments here ill be back.
