So unprofessional, rude as all can be and they steal your money while accusing you of things! I would never recommend this place to anyone after how the owner treated me and my family! They accused me of smoking weed and being loud when I do not smoke weed and I have a newborn on oxygen that’s a preemie and I paid on time the past month in a half! They told me I had until the day I paid up to get out then turned around and called the cops on me for no reason, told the cops they would give me my money back and I never got any of it! They tried to blame me for stuff being messed up when it was like that since day one and I told them that! Now their trying to randomly charge my card for no reason! I would stay away if I was anyone else! I’m gladly filing a lawsuit on them the way they treated me and my family!

For a 3-4 star motel, is one of the bestest I have been. walking distance to downtown, and bunch of other activity places (hot springs, white water rafting adventure stores, restaurants, bicycle rentals) Their rooms are well kept, clean, and organized, enough towels and soaps! Continental breakfast pretty decent, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, toast juice, coffee, tea, yummy waffles, lots of more stuff! Yes I'll be back for sure on next trip to glenwood!

Adorable inn! We enjoyed our stay way here more than we did at the Glenwood hot springs lodge. It is a family owned inn with very convenient parking and location. The owners are very friendly. Not to mention it is more affordable. Breakfast was simple but good, and the rooms are very clean. Waking up here is wonderful. Highly recommend it!

This is an OK discount lodge. We only stayed one night here. The bathroom was pretty dirty, and the carpet had some ants on it. The free breakfast is nice, but I wish there was more choices for protien instead of just hard boiled eggs. The other food for breakfast was biscuits, waffles, pastries, and cereals. The Wi-Fi was nice when it worked, but that was only about half of the time. This is a good example of you get what you pay for.

I’m a dirt bag hotel pro, and for budget hotels, this place was great. Great location to the hot springs, easy walk downtown and who wants to hang out in your room all day? Get out and enjoy what Glenwood has to offer… great Basecamp!

This place is affordable, location central to downtown, and quirky. Its not the finest but its really great! Have stayed here for three awesime years. Highly recommended for a stay in Glenwood.

This was such a cute little inn! The lady at the desk was so nice and helpful! She gave us a really good rate, considering we checked in after midnight. We didn't stay long enough even for breakfast but while we were there it was a pretty good experience!

After staying a night here at the sliver spruce I had left an opal pendant that was just gifted to me the night before, as I was waiting in the office to ask to check the room I was staying in and one of the maids came walking in with it in her hand. I was very thankful to have it returned to me. The owner was very kind. Very honest staff.

This place was a real bargain, and right at the foot of the Caverns. The furnishing seemed updated but the carpet was pretty dirty. Other than that, these people work hard to keep the grounds clean and the staff is very friendly. We stayed there two weeks and although it could get slammed on the weekends, people observed the quiet hours and things always simmered down by Monday. The beds were comfortable. Across the street there is a nice little playground to take the kids.

We planned a last minute trip to Aspen, but could not find accommodations in the area. After searching we found the Silver Spruce. I was initially skeptical, seeing as it is a motel (I’m a Marriott kind of girl and this place had some older not so great reviews) and we were traveling with an infant, but our experience was very good. They let us check in a little early and were really great about our changing travel plans due to weather. The place is a little bit dated, but very clean and roomy. The shower was hot and they had all the good channels (Real housewives lol). Also, the staff were very nice and helpful with a few things we needed for our baby. There were also other families staying here, as well as young adults traveling/backpacking that seemed responsible and not rowdy at all. The place is close to the hot springs and there are lots of gas stations, restaurants and a nice shopping center (Target near by). Bring your own coffee and filter for the room.

I have to say that Alexandra was a very nice lady to me & I'm thankful for how this turned out. However, in making this reservation online, I specifically filtered my search to allow pets. This property showed as an option. At check-in there were signs saying "No Pets Allowed" everywhere. I escaped to the mountains with my little dog. I had already paid for this room & didn't want to go through the hassle of finding another property who actually allowed pets. Alexandra saw me almost in tears & sympathized & said that they used to allow pets but had a hard time getting all that info. Off the internet. That their new policy is no pets. She allowed my little dog (who is house trained & doesn't bark) & I to stay, but had to pay $15 as they used to do for pets. As far as rooms, you're getting what you're paying for.

Great value place to stay. Good breakfast included. Can definitely recommend for when you want to visit the hot springs and need an affordable place to stay.

The room was much bigger than I thought, and everything was nice and modern. The price was cheapest in town for what was available. Also, the staff was very friendly and the view was awesome. If I go by Glenwood springs again, I'd definitely stay here again.

Super helpful staff. They brought breakfast back out for us even though we were 20 minutes late. Room was large, cozy, and warm. We fit our family of six fine, but the pullout couch mattress was wimpy and it was a good thing we had extra blankets as none were provided for it.

I really like this place… Family owned and operated… always someone here… safe place … affordable… biscuits and gravy every morning… they do have a strict policy so it makes it feel safe here…

The atmosphere was amazing, but we weren't able to use the wood stoves in the pictures. The beds were rather hard as well. The heater works very nicely. Granite counters. The towels were soft and didn't smell of bleach like a lot of places in this price range. The breakfast was not amazing, but they had a waffle station. Essentially, the price was right for what we got.

Nicer than expected! Great for the price but there were no dishes, cups or silverware (paper or otherwise) despite a full size fridge and cook top! Bring your own if you plan to cook anything at all or even make coffee. Everything else was great for the price we paid!

While this place fit our family great we couldn’t enjoy our vacation. People below us called noise complaints for “furniture moving”. Uneven bar stools in the room caused this… and wasn’t something we could change. Also, “yelling”… we made our kids sit on the couch and watch tv. Leaving this place extremely frustrated. Even more frustrated we got interrupted for non — sense and didn’t get to fully enjoy our vacation.

If you are looking for just a cheap, no frills place to stay, this is it. Customer Service is lacking. I booked online and called 2 wks in advance to confirm and the tone I got from the person who answered seemed like I was bothering or interrupting them. They advertise a shuttle to and from the Amtrak station — but when I called, the woman said they did not have one. When I asked why they have it listed online she again said she was sorry, but they didn't have one and suggested I call a cab. Now, the Hotel is in a great location, but the rooms are dated, torn wallpaper, ancient A/C heater units that don't fit into the walls correctly. We could see straight outside around the edges. The toilet kept running, and walls are THIN. You can hear everything going on around you. Provided coffee pot but no coffee. Breakfast is good if you like to carbo-load. Bread, cerial, donuts, waffles, biscuits and gravy and hard boiled eggs. No fruit… Overall, slightly disappointing, but you get what you pay for.

Our room was nice and clean. And the price was reasonable for what we got. Also a great location in the heart of Glenwood.

We were looking for an inexpensive motel room with three queen beds for my family. This place fit the bill with their deluxe suite for just $75. But, it was about the quality I would expect for that price: room was a little dated, some deferred maintenance, decent Wi-Fi, average breakfast. Staff was nice and friendly! Location was right near everything we wanted to do — hot springs, adventure park, and food.

I absolutely love Silver Spruce. We've been staying at this hotel ever since I was a child. The room is nice, coffee is good, and the price is great! Very close to the hot springs and some good places to eat. Would absolutely recommend this one.

The motel was fine, check in was easy, location was okay, all this was fine except when turning down the comforter for sleep there was a very apparent semen stain on the underside of the covers. Disgusting. Cleaning staff should maybe look at the linens before making up bed. I have a picture but it's almost too obscene to post.

This is a wonderful stop if you need a quick overnight in the mountains. Rooms are cheap and lots of value! Our suite was quite spacious and nice to stay in, the view is unbeatable, and you're super close to lots of shops and the hot springs!

Place looks nice, had free breakfast. But the owner was rude. Went to get coffee in the morning and he accused me of smoking in the room as I was checking out. Tried charging me an extra 100$.

For the price you can't beat Silver Spruce! Stumbled across this place while on a cross country road trip in 2013. Did another cross country in March (2017) and made sure to stay there again! Woke up after the first night there and immediately paid for another night (wiggled the tight schedule to do this). I plan to be back again the beginning of May 2018 to stay there while I get married! Glenwood Springs is a very welcoming town and it's just GORGEOUS! That fresh air is what makes the mountains blue on Coors Light cans I swear! PS: Have breakfast at Daily Bread (best huevos rancheros I've ever had), a pit stop at The Green Joint, and a drink at Doc Holliday's Saloon! *all within walking distance.

We were on vacation with our grandchildren and looking for a nice hotel with lots of room and we found it at the silver spruce. It was clean and the view from our room was very nice. The lady at the front desk made us feel very welcome and at home. I would highly recommend this place.

This place is a hidden gem. "Inn" is a little misleading. The place is really laid out like a large motel. The rooms are very nice, however, the location is convenient and everything is clean and well maintained. If you're looking to escape to the mountains, but don't want to pay resort process, Silver Spruce is right up your alley.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay in town. Everytime we went to Glenwood we tried a different motel and after a dozen of check-ins to other places we found Silver Spruce Motel. It's been a pleasure to stay in this peaceful and conveniently located motel with delicious breakfast and European atmosphere all around as well as walking distance to all of the town's attractions. Just perfect!

This is the second time we've stayed at the Silver Spruce Inn. Both times have been a pleasant experience The building is older so don't expect the latest in styling, however it is clean and everything functions as it should. If you are planning on riding the Glenwood Springs Canyon bike path, this motel is only 2 blocks from the trail head. There are plenty of restaurants near by. The continental breakfast is simple, maybe even too simple, but there is a Village Inn within close walking distance. The wheelchair accessible room is a 7. The tub and high commode are problematic. The bathroom counter is low, requiring the usual sideways access to the sink.

It is a budget hotel which is consistent with the simple facilities.

It's close to everything you need. Both the Glenwood Hot springs and Iron Mountain are just a short walk. Good Mexican restaurant a block away. Clean room, could use some updating. They offer continental breakfast every morning. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was nice. However when I we got into the room it smelled like cigarette smoke. The AC unit was old. In general the hotel could use some updates. A bit over priced but that is because everywhere you stay in Glenwood springs is pricey. But I do have to admit it was very quiet. All in all it wasn't the best but far from the worst.

The outside grounds seem to be kept fairly neat. However, the lobby smelled like a mens bathroom it was rather gross and I should have walked out then and there. Once we approached our room there were several cigarette butts outside our door. The rooms say non smoking but, once we entered the room it completely smelled of cigarette smoke. The dresser was missing handles on the drawers and the room was set up very awkward. The appliances in the room were very outdated and the blow dryer kept losing power while I tried to dry my hair. When we needed an iron they supplied a broken iron and a burned ironing board, which snagged my sheer top. I also had to go to the office to get the iron and board, which would have been nice to have it delivered to me considering I was getting ready. The AC unit in our room was very loud and sounded as if it was going to break at any moment. While showering the water never stayed one temperature it would get super hot or super cold without even touching the nobs, and when I did try to adjust the shower colder it kept getting hotter but when I adjust hotter it would get hotter. For as much as I paid for the room I expected much better. Granted the front desk service was pleasant I would not stay again, and I would not recommend to anyone I know.

Some of the room is a bit dated, but some is nicely updated. They still use old school keys, which kind of contributes to the charm. The Continental breakfast was really good with good warm and protein choices. The price was very reasonable and we stayed in the king honeymoon suite, which had a fridge, microwave, and coffee pot but no coffee to make. The location is pretty easy walking distance to restaurants, hot springs, and the Glenwood caverns adventure park.

Not bad. Close to things and fsr for other things. Lol no hot tub. But for one night is not bad. So have fun and enjoy your stay.

Great little hotel. Worked great for our Memorial day vacation. Really close to the Iron mountain tram and the Glenwood Springs pool.

Stayed in the "Honeymoon suite" for 2 nights. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Free Wi-Fi. Simple continental style breakfast in the price. Easy access to Glenwood Springs town, less than a mile away. Both hot springs under a mile from the motel. Being road side some noise from traffic but nothing major. Bathroom a little dated. Ideal for people travelling on a budget.

Never read a book by it's cover. It may not look like much but it is. Great lil hotel and would stay there again.

Wonderful place for a great cost! The rooms are much nicer than expected and the breakasft was very nice. We will definetly return to this motel again! Not to mention how awesome it is to he so close to he hot springs and shopping. :)

I arrived at the hotel I the late hours. The facilities were very accommodating. Breakfast was stellar.

When I called to make a reservation, the staff was polite and quick to answer questions. Upon arrival, check in was quick and the room was ready on time. The room was clean and comfortable, appropriate for the price range. Staff is on call in office 24/7 and very helpful. We loved it!

The only complaint I have about this motel is the drunk maintenance guy who lives in the motel that kept trying to bum beer and cigarettes from me all day (while he was working) and kept hitting on my fiance when we went out to have a smoke and had the nerve to actually knock on our door looking for a beer at 11:30 PM. The owner was very attentive to this situation. The front desk staff, housekeeping staff and everyone else was fantastic and the room was very clean.

I have been here 5 times in the past 4 years, the first time my partner and I were there we were surprised how nice it was for the price. Great location, great price. You get what you pay for, of course it isn't a four or five star hotel, but it is a wonderful peaceful retreat from busy life in Denver. Walking distance from a great mexican restaurant and the Glenwood caverns adventure park. Very good breakfast too! Would definitely recommend to someone that just wants to get away from things, and enjoy a small town mountain experience. And it is a lot better than paying $200+ a night a half mile away!

Friendly staff, nice enough room even if it's a bit smelly but my partner woke up covered in bites from bed bugs. Up her arms, chest and hands. Fingers. The receptionist even told us that it happened before. Would not recommend it.

Perfect location as it is a short and lovely walk over the river to downtown. Older motel, but quite affordable in the off season. Clean and spacious rooms. Absolutely spectacular flowers in the summer! I come to this area spring through fall for business and would not stay elsewhere except when I am camping. I have been coming here for 5 years now. This year they have made some improvements — nice pillows and pillow top mattress and nice sheets — in this room at least. They even have started providing basic toiletries. Still no coffee for the pot in the room, but always available in the office. Had a hot tub, which was nice, but it died.

I have stayed at this motel 3 times over 4 years and have not been disappointed. This time I emailed them instead of calling. Audrey promptly responded and efficiently completed the booking for me while accommodating specific requests for our 3 rooms booked. This motel is family friendly, and is perfect for the price range. There may be newer rooms in Glenwood but they are 3 times the price as I have stayed at other places in the past. — Toronto.

Motel was very dated. Some towels are white but most are butter yellow (which means they don't use bleach! ) Carpet was scary to walk on in bare feet. There were some bugs alive and dead bugs in the windows, but we didn't come home with anything extra, so that was good. It was the last place available for our needs and short notice. The desk staff was ok, but commented to us about being girls looking for sugar daddy's and are usually in Vail! WTF?! We are BOTH married with kids and were just trying to have a girls weekend away. They do things the old fashioned way, of writing everything on little cards and giving actual keys to rooms. The first room we were offered was next to the ice machine and maids closet. They actually have a "detour" sign telling you where it is behind the ice machine! There was a gap in the wall next to the air conditioner so big I could see people outside. So we paid to upgrade but that was a joke. 3 beds, no working remote, no knobs on the dresser drawers, some drawers glued shut, and a coffee pot with no coffee or filter to offer! Breakfast was offered in the front lobby with no space to accommodate that many guests. We had to exit to stir our coffee! No joke! Not the greatest of places, but not the worst either unfortunately. It was just okay. Décor needs updating, shower had damage, and the whole place had a very dated feel to it.

Room was nice enough with one bed, a fire place, fridgeµ. Questionable because we found dirty clothes behind the bathroom door. Property is undergoing some kind of change because there were several random furniture items all over outside. Smoking allowed on site but not in room. Great location near a park that is right on the river. Caves are also close and very cool to see. Paid $50 for a night, found Quality Inn on the river for $57 and it was a much nicer hotel.

I must start off by saying the moment we walked in, we were extremely uncomfortable by the service desk help in general. She greeted us sitting at a table in the lobby, leaning on one elbow, and proceeded to converse from the table. As we discussed prices and rooms, she kept saying she was going to give us the "like it or not like it room, and that we looked like folks that would enjoy the privacy room in the corner". My mom asked if they took AARP, and she chuckled and told us it depended on if she gave us a good deal or not a good deal, and that she had given us a good deal and moved on. Our mistake, we proceeded with getting the room. When we arrived to the room, we were disappointed. The air conditioner was hanging from the wall, the toilet paper in the bathroom was practically empty, and the bed sheets were untucked from the mattress, and the pillows were flat and most of the cotton was on one side. We actually found ourselves looking for bed bugs. My mom had sat on the bed and it was visibly slanted. We found ourselves at the front desk again letting her know we weren't comfortable with the room and that the bed was visibly slanted, and she got angry with us, so I asked for a refund. She said we must have got her "not like it" room and that she had to send someone up to the room to make sure it wasn't dirty before we could talk refunds. She actually told us that the bed must have been slanted from our togetherness. Wtf.

I have stayed there 2 times for a total of 5 nights. The quality for the price is unbeatable compared the the major hotel chains. I paid $65/night with tax and my friend paid $140/night a a hotel chain for the same experience. Their continental breakfast is very similar to any other hotel in the area. I would recommend this hotel.
