I stayed here, with my very big dog for 4 nights. It is easy to find, close to all the attractions, and wonderfully clean and quiet! The owners are so much fun to talk to and the service is excellent! I would happily stay there anytime in the future! For the price it is absolutely unbeatable!

This was a breath of fresh air out in Glenwood Springs. We were looking for an inexpensive Hotel over Father's Day weekend that was close to the hot springs. We found the Starlight Lodge online and booked a room that was able to be canceled if we decided we didn't want to keep it. We then talked to some neighbors and they told us they had also stayed at the Starlight Lodge and that it was not the fanciest place in the world but a great value. We found it to be a delightful small place where the people were friendly it was extremely close to everything we wanted to experience in Glenwood Springs and the cost was very reasonable highly recommended you check it out.

I believe that this hotel offers excellent value for the money. It is not a modern fancy place to stay. Think dated, somewhat worn, but clean. It is in the center of all the activities in Glenwood Springs, and a great place to stay the night.

Stayed in a room for 4. Clean and tidy. AC available. Toiletries and towels are provided. Good for a overnight stay.

Cute place. But our TV was sitting on the microwave. And the "shower head" was ridiculous. Not awful for the price. But if you can spend a little more, then you should…

Too much noise in the background, people smoking outside and smoke gets in. There is some electric sound all night, it is not the fridge but something else. It bothered me all night. The street light gets in your room even if the curtains are shut. There is a microwave but no plate to heat anything. No spoons too. Nice clean and neat bathrooms with hot shower. Neat and clean room. Sarcastic receptionist with dry humor. Was not too fond of that. Served our needs. Close to everything that is great! I would give it a 3.5

Pretty good for what you’d expect! Comfortable, if simple accommodations. Hilarious and friendly office staff. Nice little touches like fresh tulips in our room upon arrival. Only frustration was the loud plumbing, which sounded a bit like singing.

It was a nice place to stay. I think it's a little expensive for the quality, but still a good place. Some persons random black socks were left in the room. Thought that was weird if they cleaned and changed the beds. Sure hope they didn't just come in and make them real quick and left (not noticing the socks). The guy that checked me in was really friendly and gave me some good pointers on where to go. When we came back later that night some random woman came up to me and questioned me about my dog. Never introduced herself on who she was, just started questioning me. Though that was very rude. Probably not the best way to talk to guest.

Quaint little place. Rooms are clean and efficient. Each room has a mini-fridge and a microwave. Tv has basic cable service. The beds were comfy enough, although squeaking throughout the night. The staff is friendly. In a pinch, I'd come back.

Service was great. Clean room. Fairly priced. Good location. Simple room. Unfortunately, the heater was too noisy for me and couldn't sleep well because of it. It could have just been my room or maybe im a light sleeper.

Very lovely place. Our room was large, clean, nicely furnished & comfortable. Great location, very affordable pricing. Staff was very helpful and friendly, would definitely stay here again.

It has real keys to open the doors, not credit card keys. Imagine what the rustic ski lodge is and that is my description of this place. Sure is a great flop house, with warm heat and high quality tv, and hot showers in a clean tub. The owner was very friendly upon my arrival close to midnight. The price was so reasonable for ski country. I enjoyed the stay.

Very friendly from the time of check in until we checked out. Clean, affordable and walking distance everywhere we went. So happy we decided to stay here. Can't wait to go back.

The motel is pretty small and old-fashioned. There is a qdoba, a gas station and a Mexican resturant nearby. You technically can walk to downtown, but it's a 15+ min walk in reality. The rooms are relatively clean, but have stained carpet. The sheets are clean, but pillows and the bed were not comfortable at all. The office is extremely nice and professional which made the visit a bit better. Overall, it's not worth it for the price we paid ($189 before tax for one night, in a 3 bed "suite").

Considering the price, this place is a steal if your looking for somewhere to rest your head during your travels. It’s nothing special but it is clean, safe and easy to access with friendly staff. The only real issue I had was that the room door was left open prior to our arrival at night so the room was freezing for two hours while is warmed up.

This is a great place to stay. It was clean and quiet, we will skip the other hotels in the future and go straight to the Starlight.

The more good people know about this good place the better. I have been treated like royalty just sayin. Food is so accessible everything conveniently located to the center of town. 1, 000 ft to the center of town. A very original vintage attended too location with a nice little laundry so close to everything it is a great little historical location with 2 hot springs very close by.

Cute little motel. What you'd expect from somewhere so cheap. It's nice and close to all the Glenwood attractions.

When in Glenwood Springs you have many choices, however road construction lead us to the Starlight. Must say, I met the owner and am truly in love with her and her story of living here in this town for many years! THIS is what makes a home away from home. We wished to go to the springs, but after many days of camping we had clothing to wash, rest needed. The owner not only helped with some issues after hours washing… but gracefully help us by drying a load in office ❤️ Beautiful, quaint hotel and the kindness shown made for a truly wonderful experience!

This is a good little place if you need a clean place to stay overnight. The live-in owners are great! They have done some recent renovation which definitely help. No real issues, but no extras either. One of the cheapest places to stay in Glenwood and outs location makes it easy to walk everywhere!

Kind and funny staff! Great sense of humor! Cozy rooms in Colorado's Best city! Clean and comfortable and super close to hot springs! Will stay again next trip out!

Had a very good stay at the Starlight. Our room was clean and quaint. The desk help were friendly and helpful. Our room had new carpet, TV, air conditioner, and paint. Great location. If I return to Glenwood Springs, this is where I will stay.

The staff/service is great. The room is clean. Great area, walking distance to mostly everthing… I'll stay again for sure.

Family room is large and quiet, with two separate rooms. One has a king, the other two queens. Reasonable rates, with convenient access to the hot springs and restaurants. Clean and comfortable.

Please read: I stayed here a few months back and had the worst experience I have ever had. So many things went wrong so I will list them off. First, I reserved and paid for a suite and was placed into one of the smaller rooms I would normally ask for this to be fixed but it was a busy summer weekend so I ignored it. The initial room had spider webs in the shower and didn't seem clean at all. After taking a shower and being indecent in the room, I was suprised by a couple opening the hotel door on me and seeing me basically naked. They were also given a key for my room so it appeared it was double booked. After putting on clothes, I went to the front desk to ask what had happened. The man at the front desk said he had accidentally given me the wrong keys. The couple that had walked in on me was also at the front desk and I was obviously humiliated. I asked if there was any way I could receive a small discount for the mix up. The man at the front desk did not even provide the slightest apology and all he said was "we don't do that here".

It's a decent hotel, especially for the price and location, but it could use some improvements. The 1st room our party had was nice size and very clean. The bed was alright in terms of being comfortable. The shower made a huge mess the first time it was used and there could be some better lighting in the room. The 2nd room our party had was an "apartment". Again the room was nice size, but definitely needs improvements. There was food left in the non-running fridge (which was likely causing the unflattering smell), the ceiling was cracked and damaged near the light, and the couch was very outdated. Overall, it was an okay place to stay. We were able to check in 3.5 hours early and the guy showed us exactly to our rooms. Check out was also easy. Decent place to stay for an overnight.

High price and not much to show for it. There were no problems with my room.

We start here every year. It is always clean and it's a simple get away. The staff works hard to keep this place feeling like home. From this spot you can walk easily to most of the local sites. And across the street is a stop for the free local trolley. We have toured the other hotels and motels but haven't felt they were worth the price for the quality they offer. These are just a few reasons that we have chosen Starlight for the 7th year in a row.

Couldnt figure out Wi-Fi. Maybe if I really needed it I could have asked the clerk for the passkey.

Least expensive motel in the area with clean room that doesn't smell bad. Old school look. Lady at the front desk dose sounds like rude but she is super nice. This place offers best service at cheapest price. I Think this place independently owned with all the basics. If you have big expectations and $$$ to spend for one night room just go look for a some place else if u want to save money and get a decent motel I will strongly recommend this starlight lodge.

Great design and rustic feel. Our host was very nice… The shower temperature got a little wacky but it just took some getting used to and it was fine. Kinda borderline 'too loud' for the heater but this is just a seasonal issue. Need to relax a little on their marijuana fears.

Nothing fancy but a good price considering the location. Free shuttle to the hot springs right outside.

We loved this place! Glad we found it. From the minute we first called we were treated like human beings. We knew the folks who run this establishment know what they're doing. They have taken great care of us. The room we stayed in has let it glass window and a balcony brand new tile in the bathroom gorgeous and only $59 a night. It is close to everything. We rode the bus staying up from Denver and walked to our hotel. Then we were able to walk to the pool and all around downtown. These people are just the nicest people. Feels like we're in a cute little town in Bavaria back in the thirties. Very clean. We absolutely loved our stay here.

The front desk was nice and it was cheap. Close to attractions. That is really about it for the good. Stayed for 2 nights. — The room was GROSS! — Carpet was dirty and had water stains all over it — Room in disrepair, closets had broken pieces in them, badly needs updated and fixed — Bathtub would not drain — Toilet would keep running, turning on and off all night. — Lots of people talking loudly outside in the middle of the night and making noise — Had No Wi-Fi in my room, nothing would connect to any nearby Wi-Fi — A/C unit was dirty / gross, very very noisy, well beyond what you hear in a normal room. Loud buzzing noise. Was afraid to use it. — Small, outdated televisions. — Electrical outlets were in questionable condition. Everything except TV was unplugged when I arrived (fridge, clock, etc. ) I think I will stop now. Maybe it was just my room? I hope so.

This place doesn't even deserve a one star had to put a star just to warn people do not stay there. Bigbugs rude people and plain disgusted with the whole situation! This isn't that lat you will hear from me. I will be putting reviews in everyday until I get something for all my trouble. Booking. Com is a joke. Also the people didn't seem to even care I had cancer and that's why I'm here lot I have 8 kids that need there mom and this was how I was treated that sleep in your car pretty much is how they acted l want a response back on how bad it was. Dont run a hotel motel. If you can't get your butt out of bed to help people.

Nice, clean place with friendly staff. Excellent location. Best bargain rates in town. We'll be back, for sure. You can walk to all the good spots in town.

While this motel was one of the least expensive in Glenwood Springs, you get what you pay for. The good: — Within walking distance to the pool, vapor caves, putt-putt, many restaurants — About as cheap as it gets in Glenwood — Bed was pretty comfortable The not-so-good: — Hotel is in desperate need of repair and updating: carpet is gross, shower didn't drain, towels were old and frayed, lock on the door was rickety and questionable as to it's level of security, walls were super thin and we could hear everything (and I mean everything) that our neighbors were doing, and the toilet didn't really flush — Breakfast is not included (we were mislead into thinking so), but you do get a 10% discount at the Village Inn across the street.

I have tried to start this review for about five minutes, and it is difficult just how I want to start. So here goes: if you would like a clean, comfortable and quiet room, where the proprietors greet you warmly when you check in and even more so when they see you walking to the car. If you want a one night stay or a week long stay where you feel absolutely delighted with the small price you are paying, then the Starlight Lodge is the place to stay. This isn't just another hotel. This is like coming home to family! I highly recommend it.

There is no way this motel is worth 4 stars, if so, these high ratings are fake. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone within 5 minutes. I have called in advance more than once to confirm dogs are allowed to stay here, she was very friendly on the phone and welcoming. When we went to go check in the first thing she said to me was is your do going to bark? Not hello or welcome, just a dirty look and an attitude. She then went on to talk about how she gets so many complaints about dogs barking she that she wanted to take this accommodation off. She then began to question how we got a cheap rate on the room when it is spring break. Isn't this her business shouldn't she know?!? She was rude to us the entire time we were checking in. She never said Hello or anything welcoming to us. She acted like we were a burden to her. She also questioned us about our friends, who live in Glenwood, if they were trying to rip her off by staying with us. She even took their licenses plate number and peeked into their car to see if they were bringing anything. She told us the parking lot gets full so that why they could not park there. The parking lot was never half way full. So this motel does not accommodate visitors and pets. The pictures of the room were 10 times better. The carpet was very dirty and everything was very old. There was even a car air fresher, the tree one, hanging in the bathroom. I have pictures. There was mold in the mirror and the tub.
