A Very nice place to stay! We stayed here a year before & it's still a Very pleasant place to spend nights. The staff is very polite & helpful. The rooms are very clean. Plenty of room. I will always choose this place!

Worsted customer service from management I have ever experienced, The lady was so rude and told us to get out after we paid for two night because we brought a tiny Yorky and we didn't know dogs were not allowed. She told us she wouldn't give us our money back for the second night and told us that she would call the police if we didn't leave and when we left she took video of us while we drove off like we trashed her place. We took picture in case she tried to lie and say we did. This Hotel was not worth the money we spent $230 a night. The rooms were very dated, rug was old from the 1970's and was not clean at all and the beds were hard as a rock and the shower certain smelled like pee and the tub was dirty still. *****dog lovers beware.

Very basic, clean. Had great water pressure in the shower! You get what you pay for.

If you think you're not going to make it before 11 o' clock night and won't be able to inform the hotel so then trust me and save your money for elsewhere. They just want free money. The plaza next door is the best, they had world class breakfast + clean rooms and we had to pay $30 bucks extra for the night. Got charged for this stupid trash hotel. None the less I wouldn't expect anything less from this cheap hotel with an extremely rude unprofessional owner/manager whoever she thinks she is. I hope u guys run out of business and l will make sure to copy paste my review 10 other sites just to save other's time and money.

Awful awful awful! stay away from this trash hotel. Save your money & do not stay here at any cost. Would not recommend staying here for any reason. Absolutely disgusting hotel. By far the worst and shadiest hotel I have been to. First and foremost, this place absolutely sucked. This hotel smells like weed and smoke. Its infested with bed bugs & cockroaches. Their rooms were very filthy and not good quality, beds are uncomfortable, blood stains on sheets, hair in the bathroom, no fresh towels, the housekeeping is questionable because the floor doesn't look vacuumed and there is trash in the room from previous guests. Hotel manager is a greedy, money hungry women and will do anything for a buck, even rip off the customers. I really hope your hotel gets shut down & you run into severe losses very soon. The hotel manager was a horrifyingly wicked, extremely rude racist lady and she treats customers like s***t. She gave us a very hard time with her disgustingly unprofessional, unresponsive, inconsiderate & uncaring behavior. She has no customer service skill at all. When I complained about the poor customer service and terribly untidy filthy room, she started yelling at me on top of her voice & then refused to talk to me (I Guess she was already aware of her nasty dirty rooms). When I started to explain my concern, she went inside a room, locked it & refused to come out. I stood waiting for her for an hour. Also called her up on phone, which she didn't pick up.

Great family hotel. These folks work hard to make sure the guests are well taken care of. This hotel is between Aspen and Vail — in beautiful Glenwood Springs, Colorado — home of the largest hot springs pool in the world. Enormous price pressure on all sides yet they fight to remain affordable. This is a treasure for our town, county, and state that you can still vacation between Aspen and Vail affordably and in style. Five Stars to the Hotel and the hard working family that makes this all happen.

The room is really clean. It's basic don't expect coffee maker or microwave. (My hubby &I went to Walmart to buy a toaster oven). The beds are a bit firm for my taste, but at a last resort I would stay here again. Front desk personal was very helpful and friendly. I didn't regret staying here.

Regular motel with nothing outstanding. Nice. Quiet. Clean room. Lots of places deliver food here.

I booked a room for one night then found out I was on call at work, I immediately cancelled. The policy said free cancellation within two days except I didn't have the option because I booked it the day before. I called the hotel explained I cancelled less than 8 hours of booking. My card was still charged for $99. I called the hotel spoke to a lady who was very rude and didn't even care to provide alternative for what I paid. Save your money, don't waste your money at this place who has POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. After I told her I will not book there again she replied "that's fine don't". Very rude.

We didn't expect much based on the price, but the Frontier Lodge was a great value overall. The bed was comfortable and the place was quiet. We enjoyed the free continental breakfast as well. A little far from downtown, but it was perfect for us for a quick 1 night stay.

Good rates! Very clean and comfortable beds and the water is very soft and the toilet paper felt like I was wiping with a soft blanket. Would wipe again!

I would give them 0 star if there’s an option. I made my reservation and wasn’t able to make it to Glenwood so I cancelled my booking. I understand that it’s not refundable but then was charged once more for cancellation. When I called and asked why I was charged twice for the cancelled booking, the front desk was extremely rude and told me she didn’t know what I was talking about and told me to go check my bank again.

2 months ago I booked a room at this hotel. I wrote in the special comment that our plane would not be arriving in Denver until 9:00 p. M. And we would not be arriving in Glenwood Springs until 12:00 a. M. I was NOT informed that they closed at 11:00 p. M. And that there would be NO way of checking in. I called today 4 days out from us checking in and spoke to some rude person and was told “the best thing I could do was cancel my reservation if we wouldn’t be in until after midnight! ” I had no idea I was supposed to make my flight arrangements around the hotels closing time! I WILL NOT EVER BOOK HERE AGAIN AND I WILL
NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE! Thankfully we were able to find another hotel on such short notice!

I would avoid this place. The female owner was really nice, but the place lacks some serious necessities. We froze so bad that it was painful. It was 12 degrees outside & we had no heat in our room. Room The female owner told us that the gas fireplace inside the room doesn't work and don't turn it on. There was no other source of heat. We had to sleep with our coats on in bed. The bed has a embedded stain in the sheets and it grossed us out. The top bed cover is paper thin and the comforter under that is old and worn out and made of thin cotton. We heard banging all hours of the night from the room next door and it was so cold in our room, my nose was running all night. We didn't get any sleep at all, we should've slept in our car. Also, upon check in, we had to pay a $50 deposit because we paid with a debit card and it took 2 days to be refunded back to us. As far as breakfast goes, they have 2 toasters and a microwave in the lobby. The only good thing about this room is that the bathroom was clean and we got a warm shower. We will never stay here again.

The price is affordable, very comfortable beds, very nice management and staff. Free breakfast was decent. Had a good experience all around.

Pretty reasonable for a budget motel. 50 minutes to Aspen Snowmass, hot springs in town are nice. Room was clean, had fridge, microwave and reasonable TV. No breakfast provided.

It's an old hotel but well taken care of and comfortable. There's adequate parking and the price is pretty good. Location is easy to access and close to numbers places to eat.

Peeling paint in bathroom, no actual shower curtain, just the decorative one so everything kept getting wet. Burnt out light bulbs, the climate control unit was as loud as a jet engine and the Wifi works great… if you're in the lobby. Barely got a signal in our room so no work getting done. Called the front desk and no answer. We won't be returning.

It's not horrible, you get what you pay for. For the price you get a clean room, and it seems they are slowly starting to remodel. The owner and her husband share running the front desk and stay all through the night. They are night, the breakfast is average, no eggs or bacon, but we enjoyed a toasted bagel and cream cheese with pancakes. I would stay again for a quick stop, looking for a romantic or fancy getaway, pay the extra money. Also, Uncle's Pizza is down the street, don't judge a book by it's cover the pizza is AMAZING!

A bit pricey for as small as it the photos tend to paint a different picture but beds are nice and firm internet is very strong and room was very clean so I would say worth it.

Exactly what we were looking for. Clean room, inexpensive, nice and helpful staff. The lobby and outside was spruced up some, and everything worked perfectly for us. Cold a/c, soft bed and pillows. No complaints at all.

We stayed here overnight because the interstate onramps we're closed overnight for construction. The staff was helpful and we were given a room with three beds for the price of two since it's the last they had. The rooms were clean, Wi-Fi was great. Their breakfast in the morning was so-so but better than nothing.

The room was small, with an old smelly rocking chair in it. Paid $200 for a small room, the website said queen, but that bed was definitely a full size bed. Bathroom dirty. The older man at the front desk was very rude to me for no reason at all, and the continental breakfast was a joke, burnt pancakes, and under cooked hard boiled eggs, the toaster didn't toast, and the cream cheese for bagels was expired. I recommend going to Glenwood springs but don't ever Sta at the frontier lodge you will be disappointed.

Wish I could give it no stars. I reserved a hotel for my mom on the 2nd of July for the 3rd of July, and when my mom went to check in they wouldn't confirm to her that she had the reservation. The lady was very rude and wouldn't even let my mom talk to explain that I reserved it for her and might of done it on 1 of 2 names. The lady told her she couldn't speak to her anymore. So my mom left and went to a different hotel. But now they still want to charge me for it over the phone and the guy I spoke to I believe is James, he wouldn't even let me talk and said we were lying and didn't even go in at all. Its really unfair and I will be reporting it to the BBB.

Why book a resort or more expensive hotel? The experience can often be impersonal and of course, expensive. I know that I pick hotels based on reviews and that being said, this hotel is hands down one of the best I've stayed in. The service is fantastic, they actually know your name and are able to help you no problem. The location is a bit outside of downtown so not as much noise and the buildings fit right in with the area. The room is very nice too, with surprisingly comfy pillows and beds. The bathroom is small but functional and it's separated which I personally prefer; it gives it a modern feel. Mine also had a microwave and a fridge, nice to have, but I didn't use them. The Internet is actual Internet, because it's a smaller location you actually get to use it like you normally would, no getting disconnected or slowed down. The biggest surprise is that you get a FREE BREAKFAST. Which at this price point is amazing, and the breakfast is pretty great. You've got the essentials and everything is well organized and set up, has a real homey feel. Finally, the management here is super great. As I mentioned before they are personable and personal; they really understand the hospitality business. If you've got a family or are just by yourself and looking for a good deal without sacrificing creature comforts and practicality, then the Frontier Lodge is your huckleberry.

I have never been treated so terribly by a hotel before. I cancelled my reservation and was assured that I would not be billed but was billed 4 days later. I called to figure the issue out and was told they would look into it and they would call me back. They never called back. I called again to see if there was an update and was accused of lying about the whole issue. I will never book here again and will urge everyone to book elsewhere.

Bed bugs owners refused to acknowledge when shown coming from a former orkin pest control specialist. Manger would not listen to advise, was continuously insulted and brushed off like there wasn't a problem. Getting treated for bed bugs is very costly and SHOULDN'T be taken lightly. Would not recommend.

We have come to this place 8 years in a row and it is always the same great experience. Staff is super nice and friendly, and willing to work with you in any case, the rooms themselves are cozy and comfortable, and there is Wifi. Breakfast is pretty simple but filling, and its always fresh too. The views are amazing for sure though.

Worst hotel ever! Room was not cleaned, there was blood in my sheets! staff was rude and charged us an extra night! stay away DO NOT STAY HERE!

Do not book here incompetent workers here! Called on 8-21at 12:30 to make a reservation for 8-22. Called on 8-22 at 2:30 to cancel the appointment and was told I would still be charged for the room due to not cancelling less than 24 hours. I was never told about the cancelation policy first by Wes and the lady who answered on Saturday was rude. You can not charge someone for something they do not use nor that you fail to tell them about.

It's pretty basic but a ready good value. This family owned hotel was quite nice and had a friendly staff with clean rooms. Overall, it had everything we were looking for!

The worst ever…
My daughter and I was thrown out at 11:30 at night because I had complained about the bugs all over. The man's comment was " hey bud you're in the mountains " I took pics and will continue to get my money back and do everything in my power to tell everybody of my terrible experience. By the way my daughter is 9 years old.

Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to see our room because we could not check in. The hotel was informed we would not arrive until 12:00 am both in writing and on the phone. When we arrived, there was a sign stating the last check in was at 11:00 pm and we were unable to check in. We were not informed of this. Luckily, we were able to find another motel in town. Had there not been a vacancy, we would have had to drive 40 miles to the nearest hotel with vacancies. Needless to say, we would not recommend this motel due to their poor customer service.

Everything was clean and comfortable. The room had a nice layout, good shower, double sinks. The continental breakfast was pretty standard, in a good way, but also included fresh-made pancakes. Service was good. It was a pretty basic motel, but very nice for the price we paid. Will stay again.

Cant even get a call through to them without them hanging up before even saying hi. Horrible service.

My wife and I have stayed here several times over the past 10 years during trips to Colorado. Owners are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean. We will stay there again.

Recently had a family emergency and we were not able to take our trip as planned. I called to cancel my reservation but they refused. They charged my card anyway! Wow! I think this is unethical and just poor business.

STAY AWAY! The owners called the cops on us at 11:30 without warning because they somehow thought we looked young (late 20s/early 30s) and therefore were smoking 'drugs'. The police were nice and knew we were not doing anything, but said that the owners had the right to kick us onto the street for any reason! Lucky that the police were able to talk sense into them, and we were able to stay. But screw these people. Place is a dump anyhow. Even the floors are buckled. And the advertised hot tub was not working.

We were definitely a bit wary when arriving at this motel as it was late at night and this hotel is not in the main part of town, but we soon found that all our concerns were thrown to the wind! This is a fabulous little budget motel that goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable and at home! The rooms are very clean and basic but they do offer refrigerators, microwaves, cable, extra closet storage space, free breakfast, and a double sink vanity! The owners Wes and Bozena couldn't have been nicer! They were so friendly and helpful and welcoming. This is the perfect motel if you are looking to explore Glennwood but are on a budget. We have stayed at the First Inn, Ramada, Hotel Colorado, Best Western, and Hot Springs Lodge all of which are fabulous hotels but definitely pricey and you don't get that attention and homey feel. The Frontier Lodge is located just one mile south of the main shops in town and only 2 from the hot springs. We will definitely be staying here from now on.

This was such a nice little hotel! It sits right below a mountain. The view from the motel is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was friendly. We were able to check in quickly. It was in a quiet part of town. The room was very clean. It had restaurant recommendations in the room, which was great for my boyfriend and I who had never visited Glenwood Springs. Lovely place and I will stay again! Great price and great hotel.
