Great location, great staff. Clean room in a convenient and safe location. Would easily stay here again!

Great location to walk to Presidio and Palace of Fine Arts or the beach to see the Golden Gate Bridge. The room was great. Comfy beds. Parking is first come first serve. The front desk staff is really awesome.

From a location standpoint this hotel is excellent. You can basically see the Golden Gate Bridge from the place. The free parking is fantastic but the lot is a bit small. Free breakfast in the morning was nice but not amazing but fine for the price. Everything in the city is accessible from here and a great deal is walkable as well. We walked to the Embarcadero and Pier 33 for the Alcatraz tour. I would recommend staying here and would definitely do so myself again as well.

The location was great for us, as it was a very short walk to the Palace of Fine Arts theater, which was our destination. The staff was super friendly and helpful also. The room was fine. It wasn't anything special, but it was good for the price and it was clean. We didn't have any problems other than the door being a bit difficult sometimes and took a little extra muscle to deal with the deadlock.

Not the fanciest, but definitely reasonably priced for San Francisco. Nearby to the city and it has free parking which is huge. Breakfast is not really a breakfast beyond coffee and maybe a yogurt. Rooms are small, but great for one person, maybe two. No way will they fit any kids. Tv's are small, in room coffee, but no iron unless you ask for one.

Good service, very poor breakfast, very close to all, few restaurants nearby and no elevators.

The location is the best thing about this hotel. It’s right next to the palace of fine arts and the Presidio. The area is quiet and not so far away from all the restaurants on Chestnut road and the promenade. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is really sad. There’s a few cereals, milk, coffee, juices and tea. And, some croissants. The room itself is big and the bed was comfy. They have good Wi-Fi and HBO. The shower had really low water pressure. Didn’t enjoy showering.

Nice staff and available parking but rooms are really really small. Wheelchair travelers may have difficulty getting around in the room.

Surprisingly quiet, it's a low traffic street at night. Comfy beds, strong stand up shower. Very small room, no elevator if you have luggage. We walked to wharf, good long walk but doable with tween kids. I ran to Golden Gate in morning, paths the whole way.

It amuses Me very much. I came for work, and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. They have free internet (Wi-Fi) and breakfast.

This was our first stop in the US. We would be welcomed and have been able to move into our room quickly. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. I would like to thank you for your wonderful stay. I would particularly like to highlight good tips from the Consierge regarding the best citizens and the many other questions that need to be asked at the beginning of a trip. For this, 5 stars would actually be due separately. Thx.

Although the Travelodge is located at the busy Lombard St. The traffic noise is not noticeable.
Parking is available free of charge.
The guest is provided with egg, croissant, pastries, cereal, tea and coffee for breakfast.
A special feature at Travelodge is the friendly receptionist Raymond.
Anyone who wants to get to all the corners and ends of San Francisco without any difficulty with public transport asks Raymond.
It creates bus maps and routes. He refers to peculiarities and unknown.
Without him, we would never have been so inexpensive and uncomplicated on the road.

There are two locations on the lombard st. They both pretty desent. Book the room early as possible because its usually sold out.

Classic American Motel. All rooms come out to the parking lot. The people are very friendly and willing to help with indications about the city. Nicky speaks Spanish very well, and is always in a good mood. The rooms are very nice and very clean. They offer breakfast from 7 to 11, and tea with delicious cookies from 3 to 7 in the afternoon.
The location is excellent.

Limited and tight fit parking This hotel was kind of expensive for what you got. However, it is San Francisco, so it might be part for the course. If you just need a room to sleep in after a day of activities, it will work. If, however, you'd like a comfortable stay with decent amenities, you may want to look elsewhere. I would like to give a shout out to the staff who were very friendly and helpful. They made it a lot more bearable.

This is not the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, but that being said, it was actually really cool. The room was clean and it felt cozy. It was in walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf. There’s a Walgreens right across the street where you can get most anything you might need. There’s plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel have one of the more reasonable rates in the area without having to share a bathroom, which is something I didn’t want to do.

The room was fine. San Francisco is expensive and pays a lot for little. It has parking and breakfast. A paragraph apart from the genius of Nicky who helped us a lot with the transportation and tips of the city. He speaks Spanish and has a lot of service vocation. It is most advisable to leave the car and move in public transport that is very efficient.

Very well connected by the buses which have their first stop right behind the hotel. Walking distance to the beach with about 15 minutes. Buses go directly to Golden Gate or Union Square. Staff very friendly and very helpful — knows all the bus from the head and draws them to the help of plans.
The H (m) Otel in itself is modestly beautiful, frumpy, and only recommended for very short stays.

Despite other online views I've been very satisfied with my stay at Travelodge at the Presidio. Breakfast and Wi-Fi and parking included. The help desk has been very helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. They gave us extra towels when needed and have provided and overall great experience.

Yes, the room was cramped, the curtain torn, water took a while to get hot and the breakfast room is a joke. So, how comes a place like this gets consistent 4-stars reviews here on Google? The answer is customer service. I wish the big hotels in Las Vegas had this level of hospitality and superior concierge services. Everything was perfect. I am sorry I can't remember the names, but everyone was helpful, accommodating and extremely nice. But then, if everything was perfect, this place would cost a lot more than it does, wouldn't it? P. S. Forgot to mention the location, location, location.

Nestled just outside the Presidio gates, this property offers a peaceful respite from a busy San Francisco day of exploring nearby restaurants, cafes, bars, Palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge, and several unique shopping districts. Travelodge at the Presidio is pet friendly and offers an on-site Concierge and friendly front desk staff.

Travelodge at Presidio was quiet with a comfy bed and pillows. Parking is limited so arrive early to get a spot. The neighborhood is upscale and a short walk to the palace of fine arts and the Yoda statue. A unassuming deli is next door with some of the best sandwiches you've tasted.

I have never been a guest of the Travelodge at the Presidio San Francisco (maybe one day) but I've been here several times to provide makeup services to brides. Not only is this place architecturally beautiful, the staff is super friendly and helpful. All smiles with everyone who works here and never any attitude. And can I just say they have the best napkins (lobby bathroom) ever! They're like little towels!

Great location and very clean rooms. However, all five stars go to the staff. While across town earlier in the evening, we had our car broken into. Not knowing what else to do, we drove to the hotel to see if the staff had any suggestions. The night manager provided us with bags and tape to cover the broken windows and some tools to take the battery out of our car. She also said that Raymond, who would arrive at 7am, would know what to do to get the windows fixed. She was right! I walked down to talk with Raymond right at 7am and he immediately started scouring the city for someone that would come out and fix the window that day (Saturday, July 4, no less). We had to quickly scurry off for our tour of Alcatraz, but Raymond found a repairman and got the ball rolling while we were finishing up our tour. Absolute lifesaver. I am not sure if I can get my wife to go back to San Fran after the break-in, but I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I stayed at travellodge near the airport. I paid everything before I arrived. Then they charged me $100 deposit. I stayd there last year and still havent paid me back. After phone calls and emails they just ignore me. They are a bunch of thieves. Im blacklisting them at all the travel agencies in south africa. Its very poor to think their name is worth $100 pathetic bunch of thieves.

Three stars only couse it took a bit more than what expected to reach san Fran places to visit. For ALL the rest it was super ok. Our room was not that big, and the bathroom too. But you're in san Fran, not in LA ;) Worthwile.

We stayed at the Travelodge at Presidio on October 1st 2013 for 3 Nights and we found it to be a perfect place to explore San Francisco from, the staff were fantastic and very helpful, their help in planning our few days was beyond their call of duty. We are spontaneously turned in this Motel after we "have fled from one another". Let always the rooms show you have before you get a motel room. We were really pleased with this. It's clean, not used and the staff is just amazing (help with daily planning and ticket errands) when we're back in San Francisco then we resume this Motel.

We were pleasantly surprised at the great value we received for the rate that we paid. We especially commend Raymond for guiding us on how to go to our preferred sites using the Muni system. His advice made our stay more memorable. Thanks so much.
