Arrived before the original check in time, lovely guy at the reception, very nice and friendly, tried to help us and mange to upgrade our room for a small extra charge. Great location, many buses to main places just outside or the next street. Room is clean, very fresh shower.

We had a great stay in San Francisco, and the Alpha Inn was a pleasant surprise. The views from our fourth floor room were amazing. The Golden Gate Bridge, the Palace of Fine Arts, Alcatraz, and the financial district all visible. No elevator, so be prepared for that, and or only complaint was the unsteady water temperature in the shower. We'll definitely return as the rate was excellent and the location fantastic.

If you go to this girl stay on the third floor in a street facing view. You will be glad you did. The room is huge. Plenty of room. Very clean Windows actually open for that cool San Francisco breeze. Walking distance to restraunt and fun. I would stay here again.

Very very rude establishment. I booked a room online with my CC. Upon checking in the owner said they don't take Visa… Only major credit cards. … Visa is a major credit card. Then I asked why did it take my card online. He said it didn't go through. I looked at my bank statements nothing had been charged. The owner promised me that nothing would be charged to my card. I went to the hotel next door to book a room at the last min. The staff there said we get a lot of people of color coming over here saying the Alpha Inn didn't want to take their credit card. Said to be careful they still will charge you. I checked my bank statements the next morning and was charged for the room that I did not stay in. I went next door to talk to the owner. They yelled and told me to get out and they will call the police on me. After I showed them my statements they still denied all charges. I would not recommend this place anyone. They are RUDE and maybe racist.

We booked a room for one night. At check-in we had decided that we wanted to extend our stay at that location. The front desk said no rooms were avaible. There were dozens of avaible rooms on the online booking services so I just booked through one of them to extend our stay. That was annoying. Over our stay we were in two different rooms. Both rooms had missing parts (moulding, electric outlet covers). One of the bathrooms had a still noticably dirty toilet seat (blue cleaning chemical on it).

In San Francisco it's always difficult to find a nice hotel, so we didn't expect too much. When we arrived at 4:30 pm (check in is 3 pm) the front desk, which is in an extremely small room told us that the cleaning lady has not arrived yet so we have to wait another hour for the room. The room had a bad smell, the fridge was broken and the pool has been closed for the last two years. There were also some cockroaches. It is pretty rundown like most hotels in SF. The price for four nights was way too high for this. I gave two stars because of the following: — room was cleaned daily — Wi-Fi was very fast.

Good location, nice rooms but very noisy.

Optimal place, with some details, but serves to rest and very comfortable.

Gem of a place. There are two structures to it (hence the name). The structure that contains the office (outdoor pool) and the 3-4 story building right next to it. There is limited parking but I had no issues having a spot during my two night stay. Staff was friendly and professional. Room was newly renovated. Strangely enough, my room had no AC but they provided a fan. With an open window and the fan on high, I was perfectly fine. The location could not have been better. You are just minutes from the bay and surrounded by local establishments. Walgreens directly across the street. I highly recommend this place. FYI: at the time of my stay, FEB'18, there was no ice machine.

This place was nicer than expected. It had limited parking and no air conditioning. They provide a fan which makes the room a comfortable temperature. The room was nice. There were many places to eat in walking distance. Also very affordable.

Very helpful stuff. Comparing to hotels in SF centre — very big rooms and reasonable prices.

Dismal and disgusting place not worth your money. Stunk and had moulds all over the place. Only stayed one night as I could not breathe in it.

The nicest people at desk, room very clean and nice. They provide TV, coffee, and small refrigerator, loved the big shower and quiet no noise. I recommend to everyone.

Inexpensive. Awesome bed, awesome internet connection, nice TV that we didnt use. Basic looking room. Free parking 1st come 1 serve. Near lots of neighborhood bars and resturants across the street. Older place maybe built in the 60s but they made improvements on what counts. Grab it if you can. Well worth the stay. I wish we would have found it sooner. The muni bus stops within steps of the Inn. Park your car and get a muni pass and you will be golden.

Terrible and the attention of the staff very deficient, they are rude.

Unbelievable rooms. We have paid for this dump for 4 nights inevitably €570. It starts with the fact that the Indian does not understand or can speak English at the reception. Breakfast is not available. The Wi-Fi is below average bad and you have permanent connection crashes if it works. The rooms are quite large. And that's it. Very unaccustomed, holes in the walls and the seat dissolved already. No air conditioning. Very dirty carpet with many color remnants on it. (Wherever they come from, since for several years obviously no longer been deleted. ) Only the location is very good in the Marina district. In the evening there are good opportunities to go away. We: Couple, 30 years and actually quite a bit accustomed.

Location was great, right in the marina district. The rooms were a good size. The lobby and stairs to my hotel room was not clean and there was old bottles laying everywhere. The room was clean enough although there was paint missing from the walls. Some of the electrical sockets did not have covers.

Are stay was less than happy. Are room had no AC. Than we where put in a room the AC and TV didn't work. Finely we where put in a room somewhat better. I will think twice about booking with them again.

Good place/location for the price. The management could easily fix the pool situation, but I didn't stay here for the pool so it doesn't bother me. Free Wifi is fast, but requires re-authentication every couple of hours for some reason (possibly a DHCP Leasing issue? ). Parking is limited, so arrive early if you want to avoid having to park nearby or on the street.

Clean rooms and decent rate at a decent location. Overall an "OK" motel. No breakfast and not stable Wi-Fi. Still, not the worst I've stayed at.

Intermittent water dipping from ceiling in bathroom was bothersome. Insufficient parking.

They have the parking, the room itself is large. There is a bit of mold on the ceiling above the show, reminds me of childhood. Quiet, and warm, or cold if you want.

Friendly family service nice big rooms and clean. Handy location and if staying check out restaurant options three blocks up in Steiner St.

Was fine. Room was clean enough, old and curtains were dusty but we didn't need much more than it provided. Would have felt better if the gate entry was secure cause some kid, maybe 17 — early 20s was looking into curtains asking to come in, and also said he wanted to use our toilet. We told him to go, closed curtains and contacted the front desk. We called twice to get through, this was about 11pm. They said they would find out and call me back. I had to call them after 10 minutes they said they had it under control and made some excuse. Cable TV was good. Was about 2.5 km walk to the pier. San Francisco was amazing and the hotel was a cheaper option so it was ok.

Good service and rooms do not speak Spanish.

The price is good everything around the area under half a mile is accessible Restaurant liquor store.

I stayed one night, so I managed ok. Their office opens at 8 AM and closes at 8 PM. My magnetized "key" went dead, so I was not able to get back in. Had to wait an hour, because I didn't have their telephone number on me. Door difficult to open. When desk clerk came to see if electronic key worked (he didn't believe me), he had to use a "trick" to get the door open. I read an independent review later that said they had bedbugs. I wouldn't have stayed there if I had read that. However, I wasn't bothered by bedbugs, but of course they're hard to detect. Other, higher rated hotels are next door and charge less than the $79.00 that I paid.

If you find something a little more expensive will be better.
