Lady was super helpful and friendly at check in. King Room was clean. Perfect size for a couple. Shower was a bit moldy from the outside. But wasnt too big of deal considering you should wear shower sandals anyway. The Good location about 25 mins walking from the famous windy road. 4 out of 5 only because didnt allow smoking in room. No refrigerator. Was a bit noisey but to be expected. Would definitely stay again. Served its purpose.

Discreet Motel near the Golden Gate and 2.5km from winding Lombard Street which is on the same street.
We walked around Frisco on foot and this motel was a good base.
I would slightly improve the cleanliness of the rooms.
Parking and breakfast included in the price which however is slightly high.
Overall however not bad.

The general manager was kind and very helpful. The location is good. Our room was very moist. We were awakened in the middle of the night to someone screaming. I wouldn't stay there again. I gave three stars because the manager was awesome.

Very close to the Golden Gate Bridge, so it's fine the location if you drive. The area is peripheral, transited and unclean. The hotel is very good. Small reception, small breakfast room, small breakfast. Basic décor, as well as everything. The cleaning service leaves a lot to be desired.

Very loud you can hear the other guests in their rooms. Shower walls had mold on them. Huge crack in the shower wall, large enough for water to drain into it. I let the front desk clerk know about it and she became rude and said we know. The desk chair looked like something they picked up from the dump. We didn't dare sit in it. I had arrived early and waited 5 hours for a room no apology and my room was already cleaned and sitting empty. Another couple showed up and waited 30 minutes and were given an upgrade because they had to wait. Most definitely not worth it… stay somewhere else.

At the reception we were unwelcomely met by a fat black woman, talking constantly on the phone. Reluctantly gave the Keys, calculated, and we went to his room. Nothing much. Most liked the bed: soft and comfortable! For 1 — 2 nights at SFC Norm. But no more.

Meh it was fine. Breakfast was pretty bland. Toast. Cereal. Oatmeal packets. Room was just fine tho. Location is great tho. Location location location.

The best thing was breakfast : toast, jam, apple and some oat from a pack! Had to go for normal breakfast, so have some food. So disappointed! Coffee very bad, just black tea… Well… For this money you can get something much better!

The best thing about the hotel is the parking spaces. Service, equipment and cleanliness leave something to be desired. The rooms are outdated, dirty and are located directly on a busy road. Breakfast is a joke. Not recommended.

Starting from the fact that it is a low quality motel is well located, and you can easily reach the Golden gate Bridge and the Disney Museum. The room is small and a little old as you can expect but all in all clean. For breakfast there is bread and jam or milk and cereals. Apart from the front desk lady I found the others very friendly.

Great inn. They give you a better deal if you are a WAS member. Nice, clean comfortable beds.

Overall the place is good. Few minor issues like the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and clean rooms.

Convenient location, 4 minutes walk from bus stop 28 and 30, free parking, insufficient breakfast.

Super cool Inn. Booked my room last minute on a walk in. Staff was very nice, helpful and understanding. The room is super cute, cozy and clean. The bathroom is upgraded and clean as well. Would come back and recommend this place to family and friends!

La Luna Inn it's a very nice hotel, staff is very friendly & helpful & specially at night staff lady is very good, rooms is clean & it's a huge room specially in bathroom towels, shampoo everything is avalaible, everything is perfect :)

The room was very small, but comfy for just two people. Other then the occupants that stayed above us running around at night the stay was great. Didn't get to enjoy the breakfast, due to the fact that I overslept. Well stay at La Luna Inn again.

Very nice hotel with free car parking. Basic breakfast included in the price. Unfortunately a bit noisy because the windows are just glazed.

Older motel with partial renovations. Plumbing issues in our room. The continental breakfast is toast and cereal. There is guest parking and a friendly staff. Rates are steep but the location is decent.

Perfect for visiting San Francisco at Motor Home, uncovered parking.

Found the rooms rather loud as they are right off Lombard and the door in our room wasn't very tight. Also, the bathroom was very small, and the shower was a stand up only with almost no water pressure and no space to move. The nicest part of the motel was the office, and the breakfast they offer was pretty good.

Very convenient if touring in San Francisco/Napa Valley. It's about half hour away to Miur Woods (Majestic Sequoia Trees). About half hour from airport (Rush hour expect a lot of traffic). Room is basic, most importantly sheets smell really nice. Free parking (ask where to park when you don't see a free space) and they give continental breakfast they called it something to start your day (toast, oatmeal, juice, coffee…)

We arrived with the reservation already made by Internet, and we found that we did not appear and instead of solving the problem they had us to make the call of Tel. To the page that was from Switzerland to which in 15 ¨ ´ I was solved, however if it had been for the staff that atendia in the hotel I would have been without reservation. We lost 2 hours to all of this. Parked outside the hotel without importing them to solve the problem to the client… So I thank infinitely to the page contacted and this page would have to look at the service provided to not look bad… Stella… 21/01/2018

It was okay. Traffic noise is my biggest complaint, the breakfast is pretty bare bones, bed was lumpy. The room was pretty clean though and it's in a nice neighborhood.

Stayed one night. Top floor and you could barely see the top of the dome from the palace of fine arts, decent view of the golden gate, bit noisy from the traffic but it's expected. Room was clean. Service over the phone sucked but in person was good.

Pictures on Expedia made the room like larger and nicer than it is. It's still not a terrible value though. It's one of the cheaper places near downtown where you get your own bathroom.

Location is perfect, but it has a poor breakfast as almost all American hotels and quite old structure.

Good hotel well located if you go by car is very accessible and parking is easy, the room is quite simple but not needed more, the heating right, the only attention is lousy, 10 minutes to ask me to make a bill and I went without it was like talking to A wall.

I stayed at this hotel in August 2016 hotel conveniently located near the palace of Fine Art and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Located on the Lombard Street which is a very busy avenue so noisy especially as I had a room right next to the street.
The room is ageing overall (the carpet deserves to be changed) and small enough for the price paid.
The breakfast is very basic (bread and cereal) but free good thing: the parking spaces are free and unlimited in time for hotel guests, which has San Francisco is a real plus.

A centrally located motel in the heart of San Francisco. Those who are well on foot and like to walk can reach everything without a car or use public transport (bus stops about 100m from the motel). The motel is unfortunately very old, the room was clean though but everywhere were stains. In the evening it was very noisy because the walls are very thin. Breakfast was very sparse but the coffee was good.

We paid 252.00 USD for one night at this hotel. For the price the room was somewhat neglected, specifically the chair and carpet which was somewhat dirty and old. The bed was regular. High price per bottle of water (5.00USD). The reservation included parking; But it wasn't. All the parking lots full and we had to park near the cafeteria. The breakfast area was small and somewhat uncomfortable with a low quality breakfast. The attention on the part of the dependents is dry.
Positive points the new and clean bathroom, free Wi-Fi and the location of the hotel that is close to the Golden Gate Bridge.

Totally acceptable affordable hotel in San Francisco. Pretty standard stuff for a discount hotel. The price is big but that's the area. The mattress and pillows were horrible. For that reason, I would not stay here again.

Room was clean, but was let down by the traffic noise, being set right next to the road and with seemingly thin walls. Great to have free parking on site though. We didn't have breakfast on our stay as no tables available when we went in at 9am, but didn't seem to be missing anything. Went to Home Plate for a more hearty breakfast instead.

I was there in July this year and till this day have been unable to get my bond back. Numerous calls, and facebok messages with a lack of a response. The so called GM of the service Michael is not able to look into it and have the decency to call me and let me know whats happening. The only answer I get it its been deposited back. Well let me tell you people it hasnt! Now surely someone should be able to give me a more decent answer than that!.

Free Parking. Very good location but indeed located on a very busy artery. Those who love rest. Go your way… The hotel is way too expensive, but the Wi-Fi parking and lunch are included.

For the tiny breakfast room where you have to pray for s sit so much space is reduced. In any case saw the little choice you do not miss anything.

The room overall is good but would have to improve the soundproofing. The breakfast is very little varied.

The staff were courteous and parking was free, and the location is great. Other than that everything was subpar. The rooms are only slightly nicer than what you expect at a Motel 6. The Wi-Fi did not work on any of my devices. The breakfast was a joke: not only was the food disappointing (dry cereal and cheap bread), but when I tried to eat (at 9:00 am, mind you, not at the end of the serving time), most of the food was gone, so there was nothing for me to eat. I wouldn't give this low of a rating if this had been a cheap hotel, but this level of quality is ridiculous when you've paid $200/night.

Quick, easy, and well priced for the location. Great place to lay your head without spending a fortune or staying way outside of town.

Well located in San Francisco, Lombard street mainly consists of motel style motor inns. The rooms are a decent size, with large beds, the rooms are also very clean. The only downside was that my room was by the elevator so had no view and the room was very dark, also the door didn't seal properly meaning there was a draft, and you could hear road noise. For the price, well priced as hotel prices in SF are unnecessarily high. Would I consider staying again, yes.

Too expensive for the service. Room S very noisy street side. Very basic breakfast, especially during the week.

Our car got broken into the first night we were there. They took something worth the world to us, but they would have thrown straight in the bin. Our own fault for leaving it in the car. Rooms are smalls and dingy. Bathroom smaller. You could hear everything going on around you. Breakfast (if you can call it that) was lousy. The only reason I'm giving it 2 star is the location was decent. The bed was comfy. And the manager (Micheal I think his name was) was very helpful when the car was broken into. I think because it happens quite a bit! DO NOT LEAVE A SINGLE THING IN YOUR CAR. No matter what it is!

I stayed here for 3 days the first night the upstairs neighbors were so loud I had to call the front desk the third night the expensive room TV didn't work for 4 hours and the day clerk mike didn't do anything about it I had to call 3 times to get it fixed that's why they are only getting 2 stars everything else was great. Friendly staff very comfortable beds. Pretty noisy though.

Great service. I love the simplicity of the rooms, really clean as well. The only thing keeping this hotel from a 5-star would be it's complimentary breakfast, not only was it minimal but their drinks seem like they were watered down. Overall, I wouldn't mind staying here again! Really great location!

Our room was nice, clean and quiet! People at the front desk are really nice and helpful and the location its really convinient because many places are at a walking distance food, pharmacies, gas stations etc… We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to San Francisco.

Awesome place to stay while in San Francisco! Amazing customer service and the guy at the front desk was extremely helpful with questions about the city. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice affordable place to stay while visiting.

With my better half Richard, we just spent an amazing 2-year anniversary weekend at the Sofia Hotel, in downtown San Francisco, CA. Excellent location and friendly and efficient staff! Upon check-in, I mentioned that my boyfriend and I were in beautiful San Francisco, CA to celebrate our anniversary, and no later than 5 minutes after we arrived in our room, someone from the hotel knocked at the door, and came inside to offer a complimentary bottle of Blanca DE Blanca! Once again, thank you so very much, guys, for making our stay a most memorable one! See you real soon!

My partner and I recently got married and spent the evening at Hotel. I thought the experience from start to finish was superb. We stayed in a room with a stunningly beautiful view and were treated extremely well by all of the staff. It was a fantastic experience all around. Thank you for being part of our wedding memories!

Good location and price. It is best to avoid the area of standard rooms.

Quick check-in, clean, easily accessible, and free parking. Get a clipper card from Walgreen's across the street and take MUNI buses and trollies through the city.

Rooms were nice and comfy. Walls are a little thin. Heard our neighbour's TV until 3:30am.

Clean room nice staff generally and pretty good location.

Stayed here on a weeknight. Not bad. Front desk people were nice. Not super clean, but not disgusting. Bathroom was the weakest link — very tiny and tile kind of gross and in need of repair. Shower was very dark — made me worry about what might be lurking in the corners. In a pinch, would stay again, but only if in a pinch.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location pretty rad. The room didn't smell pleasant so bring a Glade candle. The bathroom floor was filthy, it had not been cleaned and I'm pretty confident the toilet hadn't either. The carpet was very dirty and in need of a professional cleaning. The bathroom door was also in need of a wipe down. The fire alarm was beeping and the front desk came quickly to change the battery. The strike plate on the door was loose preventing the door from locking. We requested a philips but were told we couldn't perform the 5 second fix and neither could he because their was no maintenance worker on property. Instead we were offered a new room, I declined because it was much to late. I did lock the door. The beds were comfortable, and there were a variety of pillows (4) on each bed, each with a different firmness. The linens were all white which helps with the feeling of cleanliness. I'm not certain but I believe they rented the room above us to a herd of tap dancing cattle that had a blast until 1:30am. I wasn't impressed by their talent. All and all… I'd definitely give it another shot, hopefully with a more cleanly room.

Very expensive for a crappy room Dark. Burn marks on the rug. Moldy bathroom. Dreary. Quoted price on door is cheaper than the "discounted" Expedia rate. Wifi is so slow I have to use my phone for email. Couple in next room spent the night making grunting noises (not the hotel's fault, but thin walls are). Laughably bad breakfast (apparently it's possible to screw up orange juice). Will not return.

I stayed at least 5 nights (Dec. 08) with a friend at the La Luna Inn and in my opinion a 1-star rating is absolutely enough for this self-proclaimed "hotel". We were absolutely shocked when we checked in and saw the "standard room" with 4 x 4 meters size, ice cold and a "heater" (child of a hot-blast), which what so noisy that we decided to switch it off while we were sleeping — trying to endure the temperature in the room, which became low very quick!
The next day we asked for another room with more comfort — although we already payed $89 per night for very low of it we were told there are two other kinds of rooms — $10 and $20 more a night. But the receptionist said, that there will be the same kid of heater in every room – there is no one quieter.
We declined the offer and were glad about the fact, that San Francisco offers so many things to see, that we have only to stay the nights while sleeping in our — in my opinion — Fahad room.
