I did enjoyed our stay and the room are immaculate all the staff are very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location easy access to most things by walking or using the local transport Muni. All the staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating with specific requests. Plenty of food at the breakfast. Room was well appointed 2 queen beds, we had 4 in the room that absolutely fine as we were on the go and only there to sleep. Comfortable beds. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, close to some great attractions, close to park and Golden gate and the wharf. Quality of hotel is pretty good especially comparing to other SF hotels. Has parking although it is very tight spaces and getting around in the garage. Friendly and patient staff. Would like to see better quality in rooms. I had a nice bay view, can't really see much but decent. Windows are very thin and easy to hear everything outside. Overall it's decent enough, but very good on SF basis.

Close to the Wharf but did not specify that they charge extra for more than 2 people in a room before applying the charges. We verified and agreed on a rate over the phone and explained we had 2 couples sharing a room. After checkout they charged $40 extra per night. Poor customer service and took multiple calls to get a receipt or someone to explain the additional charges that were applied. Good views of the bridge and bay.

Small room to be from USA, a single bed of European dimensions. Acceptable bathroom with hairdryer. It has a clothes iron and a coffee machine. It has heating in summer, as at night it is cool. It has enough plugs to charge mobile and others. The room is ok however the breakfast needs to be improved in quality, to my liking.

A hotel can make the difference between an okay trip and an incredible one. The amenities, service, location and staff at Comfort Inn by the Bay are all everything you could possibly ask for. It is ideal for family trips and the location is perfect. It really is the perfect balance between comfort, affordability and the perfect spot to see so much of the city. All the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and could answer any questions about the hotel and the city too! We were also fortunate to meet Maria, the manager. You can always tell when someone is great at their job and Maria is a perfect example of this. She and the other staff really made our week! Thanks so much and we will be back without a doubt!

Pro: Great breakfast, good Wi-Fi, great location, friendly staff, clean room. Con: Bathroom doesn’t have ventilation. Expensive parking fee ($39 or so per day), but understandable in SF.

Near many attractions and see the Golden gate Bridge from my window. Good view. Breakfast in morning, love waffles and eggs, and will see how it goes. Parking is $30/day with tax. Room is fine but no refrigerator and or microwave like some comfort inn's may have like in Tennessee.

Overall a good stay. The breakfast area is too small for the number of guests. We had to contend with 50 girl scouts the one morning. And then after they left we figured it'd be better but still no seating at 8:30am. Definitely get down early for breakfast.

Nice clean hotel. It's within walking distance from Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 and all its shops. I researched a couple other hotels, and this one, for the price, had a parking garage that was actually decent (and had more than ten spaces), that was easily accessible from the street. On that note though, if you have a larger vehicle, BE CAREFUL! The garage is made for smaller vehicles. But then again San Francisco isn't known for being car friendly! Staff was nice, and the bed was comfy!

The place is top, 5 mins walk from Ghirardelli Square, the parking lot has 30 bucks a night is reasonable. Curiously the price does not guarantee the place, you can find yourself to pay without having room (American way of doing business). The rooms are conform to a hotel of this category. The breakfast, included in the price of the room is a bit of a war zone when the hotel is full. But overall very good ration quality price. As a bonus, a view of the Golden Gate if you have a room in the eleves floors.

Horrible customer service they care nothing about their guests. Drove 3 hours and checked in around 845pm. We immediately left without going to our room because we were attending a show at 915. We had an emergency and got back to the hotel as fast as we could only to find our room keys did not work. I went to the front desk frantic because my friend had been roofied at the show. I was informed the charge had not gone through. After proving the charge had come out of my bank account the front desk guy argued politely with my bank. It turns out they were trying to charge me multiple times. We were forced to drive the 3 hours back home at 1am. Not to mention the security guard was rude and severely overstepped his boundaries because he was asked to let my friends into the room but proceeded to stand there giving them a hard time telling them to get my friend off the floor before he opened the door when he had already been informed she had been roofied.

Simple hotel with good facilities. Beds are good. Reception staff very nice. Good view of the Golden Gate Bridge. But unfortunately dirty windows. Next to the window behind the curtain, the gift leaves for moisture. Room otherwise clean. For the money OK. Breakfast simple. Toast, bagels, waffles to make yourself. Mirrors or scrambled eggs. Burgerpatties. Cold boiled eggs yogurt and quark. Bananas and apples. Butter Jam and Philadelphia. Arrive in time it will be rigorously dismantled at the point 9.30 o'clock. Since we were only here to sleep, it was enough for us. Bus connection good. Buy Muni day ticket and explore the whole city. Location for this OK. Down the street Cow Hollow. Chestnut Ave. Great restaurants.

Friendly concierge staff, clean and well maintained rooms with soft sheets and pillows. The free breakfast each morning was also a bonus with a variety of options and fresh hot coffee. Will definitely be a return guest.

As the name implies, this is a comfortable hotel. I can really complain about my room or my bed. The only issue I've got is the location which is near all the motor inns on Lombard. This is 2 blocks away from the most crookedest street in the world but you need to walk up a very steep hill. The breakfast is ok as well. You can walk from here to fisherman's wharf and it'll probably take you 30 minutes but you'll be going up and down the streets.

Staff was wonderfully friendly and accomodating. We were allowed to use their parking until 4pm of our check out day, and that was extremely helpful for our sight-seeing and not having to pay for more parking. They let us use their breakfast area to warm our dinner on the night of arrival and our lunch even after we had checked out. Nice views and comfortable rooms.

An excellent hotel in San Francisco! Comfort, attention, cleanliness, good breakfast and I think the best in terms of location, this close to everything, Golden Gate Bridge, Marina area, Fisherman's Wharf, cable car, I've stayed several times and I do whenever there is opportunity, I highly recommend if you are going to Visit San Francisco.

Great location and a nice morning view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The breakfast was not all that but enough for the kids to eat well and artsy full til dinner time. The cost of parking is outrageous in SF but the hotel charged 26.00 per day. We walked to close places and didn't have to worry finding parking.

Great location with lots of good food within walking distance. The on-site parking is expensive at $26 per day and the lot is extremely tight, so be aware that larger cars (SUVs and minivans, for example) might need extra time and space to get parked. Once parked, it's probably best to leave them parked for as long as you can because of the hassle it is to get parked in the first place. The room quality is a little dated but for the price and the location, it's a great place overall.

The staff at the Comfort Inn have been so accommodating of us as evacuees from Santa Rosa. With a 3 year old and a newborn the staff has been nothing but friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast includes make your own waffles that my 3 year old loved. Plenty of food and everything was clean and comfortable. The view our of our 6th floor room is gorgeous, even with the smoke over Marin County. We have a view of the bridge and the water and my son has been mesmerized by the passing boats. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of Ghiradelle Square and the first thing my wife did was go there for a chocolate sundae. Coming from such a horrible situation as we were in, fleeing from the flames, it's been surreal how lovely and friendly everybody has been to us. Highly recommended.

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and checking in and out was easy. The location was great. The elevators were slow and made quite a lot of concerning noises. The parking garage was very tight and difficult to maneuver in. The price for overnight parking was reasonable. The breakfast provided was fairly nice but pretty typical fare for that kind of thing.

This place is fine. The AC worked well, they have parking, breakfast was typical, no bugs. But also, no microwave and no refrigerator. It's sort-of in walking distance to some places, but pretty far from where we wanted to go.

For the money and the location (downtown San Francisco) this hotel was not too bad. However, a refrigerator would have been nice and a fan in the bathroom would be even better. They need to control who comes for breakfast. I ended up eating my breakfast with a homeless guy sitting next to me.

Good location near Fisherman's Wharf. Close to cable cars and other transit options so I felt a car was not necessary. They do charge for parking but it is reasonable for parking in that area. Rooms are spacious and the breakfast is good with both hot and cold breakfast items. May be a little pricey but reasonable for that area of San Francisco.

Great location. 4 blocks from the bay and 8 blocks from Fisherman's Wharf. Terrible experience checking in. Room wasn't ready at 4:05 pm. I reserved online and am a member of the Choice program but I still had to show Members card, driver's license and credit card. Then I had to initial 3 or 4 places and sign a form. Parking spaces are very small. It was an hour after my arrival before we got in the room. Other customers checked right in and got their rooms. I found a cheaper price ($40 less) 2 days after I reserved this room but their price guarantee is for 24 hours only. Room was fine and included breakfast was good.

Enjoyed our stay. The bay view was beautiful. Breakfast was well-stocked and the staff were very nice friendly. Sharon was extra helpful, recommending restaurants, arranging a bus tour, and making other suggestions to enhance our visit. If you do t have a car, don't worry; you can walk most places or take a bus nearby and keep your luggage in the secure hold. Will definitely stay here again if we return to San Francisco.

Nice basic hotel. I checked in at 2am. I wanted a city view so I was given a rm on the 11th floor. There was still a bldg/apt blocking some of my view. My room did have crumbs on the chair and a spot on the top sheet, but I was too tired to move so I slept on the opposite side of the bed. Other than that the room looked clean. Breakfast ended at 9:30, which I think is a little early. It was basic waffles, powdered eggs, port sausage, cereal, apples, oranges, bananas, yogurt, instant oatmeal, toast, danishes, juice, coffee, tea and milk. Coffee is available 24/7. The staff was very friendly, helpful and engaging. That goes for all of the staff I came into contact with. I requested to have my sheets changed and they looked like there were changed. They helped with finding a restaurant that delivered at 2am, gave me directions to the bus stop and walking to Fisherman's Wharf. They were just very helpful and friendly. The Queen room does not have a refrigerator or microwave. The refrige is an additional $10.00 per night. There is a refrigerator for guest behind the check-in area and microwaves are available in the breakfast area. Oh, this hotel is on the same street as the Crookedest Street, which was great.

Building is aged a little but still in a good state of repair. Under ground parking available for a fee. Room was not with the golden gate view but was on the top so the view was still OK. The room was well equipped but lacked a fridge/minibar. Would consider staying there again.

The price-quality ratio is the best of San Francisco, the rooms are very spacious (ours had two beds queensize), is very well located, since you have lombard to nothing, fisherman, presidio, nothing walk. The breakfast is buffet and is ok. If you are lucky with the room you can see the Golden Gate.

Comfort Inn by the Bay offers an amazing view of the city. It's a great location, offering an easy access to the Fisherman's Wharf and other attractions. It's a very comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco.

The relationship quality price is the best of San Francisco, the rooms are very spacious (ours had two queensize beds), is very well located, since you have nothing, lombard fisherman, stated, nothing walking. The breakfast is buffet free and is well. If you are lucky with the room you can see the Golden Gate.

Beautiful view of the bay from almost every room. Average quality rooms. Pretty nice place. A little warning for anyone thinking about staying is the parking lot sucks, the breakfast sucks, and there is no pool or hottub. Otherwise I would consider staying again for short trips to San Francisco. :)

The room was very clean. Staff was helpful and provided us with a map and reccomendedsome really good places. Also, the complimentary breakfast was really good. Would definitely visit again.

This Plc is a triable, they charge for parking which is not safe, they don't tell you that they have vandalized cars there all the time, after we pay each night $350 for 2 night that is old and bathroom sink is clogged,,, and they accommodate you if you pay more which is BS, $26 for the parking that is not safe, we had broken into our car and everything was stolen Do not book there, it's not a safe Plc and they don't take any responsibility for it.

The location is good 3 blocks away from the bay. However the lady at the front desk was rude and slow and not very happy about her job at the Pricey Comfort In By the Bay. Which charges $26+ for parking. ALSO, the breakfast ends rather early at 9:30 and the employees who cleaned up were like "Party's Over! " Go to the Lombard Inn right next to it. Spacious rooms with bigger bathrooms and $13 parking. You're Welcome.

Great place too stay and close enough to walk to the Warf. Rooms were clean as well as the entire hotel. Early check in available without chatge. Free breakfast is excellent.

Great view! Hotel was clean. Great value for the location. I had read bad reviews on the continental breakfast… I have no clue why people were complaining. Building could use basic touch up maintenance but it wasn't distracting. I recommend it.

The location is in the prime of San Francisco, making it easy to get pretty much anywhere reasonably quickly. The rooms are of good quality, providing all essential needs and the food is great. Would recommend for anyone looking for a standard place to stay while they explore the city but would probably not recommended for anyone looking to spend a lot of time at the hotel as entertainment is very limited.

Pro:The hotel is in a nice location. The rooms and bed are comfortable. Wifi and breakfast included. Con: Bad customer service. There was no communication between employees. We called ahead of time advising them that we'd be late for checkin. When we arrived we were marked as no shows and had to wait to be checked in. There was apparently nothing warning the next worker of our late arrival.

Nice hotel for the price. Rooms are dated but very clean. Staff very friendly. Very convenient location at walking distance from many attractions, and plenty of public transport available (except for subway).

Location is good, all the places we went was walking distance, within 2-3 miles. Room was clean. Service was good. Breakfast was limited but sufficient. Downside, walls are thin, can hear the neighbors, shower sacked, bathtub filled up while showering, black grit settles to the bottom, assuming from the water. No fridge. Ice machine is down the hall and can be heard. Elevator is slow at time.

The view from our room was amazing. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The staff and rooms here have completely outdone my expectations. Rose was the best! And has helped us so much during our stay. You couldn't find a nicer place for a reasonable price in, what I have come to learn as, one of the best places to be while visiting sanfrancisco. A + reviews from both of us! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, safe, relaxing, and comfortable environment with lots to experience sanfrancisco.

Great location, clean and with parking space/garage.

I'll start with the good and end with the bad. This a clean hotel located in a very convenient area, the morning coffee service is decent. The service at the hotel is EXTREMELY slow, check-in took more time than it really should have. Once we got to our room, the first thing that we realized were the lack of towels. We booked the room at as 2 adults, there were literally 2 bath towels. I found this odd, because there are normally four towels at most hotels. When we rang the front desk to ask for more towels, we were asked to head down stairs to get them. I know, lazy me… but I'm paying to stay at a hotel. So, the next day, I left a note on the bed with a $5.00 bill asking for "Extra Towels" — we got the customary 4. Ok, money talks I guess. The next day, I left a note without a tip and got 1 extra bath towel. This is POOR service. The parking lot. This might be the most inconvenient parking lot in the United States. Upon arrival, you have to buzz the front desk to open the gate. We rang them for 15 minutes. The parking is very crampped and congested. God help you, if you drive anything larger than a mid size vehicle. When exiting you literally have to call the hotel to let you out. The "Free Wifi". I've ready many hotel reviews that blast the property for having poor WIfi and considered it a knit-picking type of comment. I always pack my iPad to use in the room for browsing and email. It was literally a paper weight. The Wifi is terrible (5th Floor).

We were very pleased with the Hotel. At the Breakfast there was a bit of bottlenecks with respect to the place. Rooms with views of the Golden Gate Bridge — amazing!

Best price. Best attention.

Take half the world to see the Golden Gate from the hotel and meet with a patio and a wall.
Internet Wi-Fi does not work and when you mention it at the front desk tell you that you call a service so fix it.
Lousy service if you do not hire directly with the hotel. They do not allow you to improve your room. Staff really friendly and inattentive. I will not ever.
Care that nothing seems to that expected of a chain as it ichoice hotels group. A pity!
