Good location, clean comfortable rooms. Free on site car parking inc. The hop on hop off bus tours conveniently stops right outside the front door.

Stayed here many years ago, was so well located and the free parking was a bonus… if we ever get back to SF we would stay here again.

Very enjoyable for a short trip to San Francisco. Clean rooms, nice breakfast with fresh fruit and bakery items from a lokal bakery.
Breakfast room very small, but you can pick your stuff and take it to the room.
Good location as most attractions are relatively close by.
If you are on a round trip you will enjoy the free parking garage as well.

Gets the job done, and you get what you pay for. Some weird smells when we first got in the room but we were also provided with a rollaway bed, breakfast, and coffee, and the shower works just fine. It's a pretty good location, kinda close to the wharf and some good food nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Free parking was a major factor for us. Loved the breakfast and eating it on the 3rd floor with a view of the golden gate Bridge. Great location. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable beds, free parking, and a perfectly adequate free breakfast though the eating area was rather crowded. Wi-Fi was spotty and the shower pressure was pretty low. On the other hand, I loved the hand lotion. On balance, I'd be happy to stay here again.

If I compare it to the hotels I stayed in in California this is definitely the most expensive (everything in San Francisco is expensive). The room was very clean Free Garage.

I'm a little disappointed with this hotel because of how they handled their bed bug situation. I calmly went to the lobby and told the gentleman (who I believe is the manager) how I had woken up with bites and seen bed bugs. All he had to say was he didn't have a spare room and he's never had this problem. From there, he just dismissed me. I understand the damage was already done, but I just felt like he wasn't concerned whatsoever. It’s been a nightmare ever since leaving. I’ve had to miss work because of the allergic reaction I’m getting to the bites, but the doctor has provided a cream for now that should help. My clothes had to be dumped as well as my bed. Be careful staying here, you’ve been warned.

The breakfast was good and the hotel was clean.

It's definitely older Hotel and the rooms on Lombard Street I would imagine a quite noisy at night. I requested a room not facing that street and was very happy with it. Rooms are not huge but I got one with a queen bed and a pull-out sofa. Slept 5 people just fine. For the price and location I would say it's well worth it. Nice friendly staff. The parking lot area is pretty tiny it's two smaller areas. If you can't find a spot just park and give the staff your key and they will parking for you.

The Hotel was very good and the location was great. 30 years late. Very friendly staff.

Hotel in a great location. Free parking is convenient even if they accept more cars than they enter forcing you to park the car in the middle and leave the keys at the front desk to move it. Good breakfast although served in the lobby and therefore the number of seats is very small, many people took it to the room. The price is very good compared to the average in the city, I recommend it.

Great location. Easy to walk around and take a break from driving. Free parking which is nice. Easy to hear voices and people passing the hallway. Good spot overall.

Great value! No fridge in the room and breakfast is small but the free parking more than makes up for It! The location is close enough to walk to many tourist sites if you have good walking shoes.

Awesome place, not far from all the fun stiff to do in SF! I felt safe in the area whichbis important to me when staying in SF. The continental breakfast was all right but not amazing, the rooms were very clean and I loved all the space in our room. Two dollar canned soda machine meant I had to bring my own soda from a local convenience store. Friendly service and house keeping was also a major plus along side the free on site parking that was included with the room.

We stayed here for two night's in January. Had a spectacular time here. We had an unexpected guest surprise me, and at about 10:30 pm, the front desk person so very kindly set us up with a cot for my Nephew to sleep on. We all enjoyed a continental breakfast, which was much more than we expected. Everyone that we encountered there were very nice and kind. Abviously, it's a family run business. Should be proud of yourselves for being in a very difficult business! Booked solid when we were there. Only place we will stay when we return. Miss You.

Second time at a distance of little guests in this hotel! Convenient location to walk to the wharf area, public transport and cable car, with which you arrive comfortably in Union Square! Spacious rooms, helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast, parking included (which is very useful if you have the car! ). Recommended :-)

It is a fair place for those who enjoy the city where they are staying. It is not to go and stay to spend the day at the hotel… You have everything you need. Wi-Fi. Parking. And breakfast. It's familiar, but not noisy. It is well located on Lombard Street. A few blocks from the bay. And if you don't want to walk, the taxi to the city center costs U $10. The staff is friendly.

Dirty with a stench I will never forget. Doors in room wear filthy, garbage on the floor in the room and outside in the hallway. The room reeked of mold and filth. The bedding was also dirty. I did not stay the night even though I had paid for my room via Expedia. I’m surprised Expedia works with them. Still waiting to be reimbursed. Hotel manager was nowhere to be found.

Extra bed without proper mattress, good location, Max 2 stars, in Germany you would pay Max 40. — € for the quality.

It was pretty good considering the price and location. Free parking is great because parking in SF is a pain. We were close enough to everything we didn't need a car while at the Inn so it was mostly parked for free or entire stay. Staff was friendly. And the patio on the roof was cool. The breakfast was very basic, but the pastries are from a local bakery and delicious. The building looks a bit old. But for the price it's good for a getaway.

Furnishings of the room is old but Ok. Had no fridge in the room. The staff at the reception is not very friendly. The location of the hotel is Great. One is close to the pier39 and it is still largely quiet. Parking is free of charge!

The location is great. The rooms seemed reasonably clean, and the price was acceptable. Parking was very tight, but free. So there's that. You're just a short ways away from fisherman's warf and all the piers, shops, and great places to eat. This place was fine if you're not planning on staying in the room.

Nice hotel with a beautiful view to the Golden Gate Bridge from the rooftop! Will deffently check in next time we come to SF! Good Wi-Fi OK breakfast, close to the Fishermans wharf the Harper and the GGBridge.

The location of the hotel is really perfect. You can walk very quickly on the pier or on the famous part of Lombard Street. A bus stop is also close by. The hotel offers free parking, which is not common in San Francisco.

Hundreds of bed Bug's bites first, I have to say that we would not normally have taken this place, but in this case we had no other choice, as San Francisco was at that time 100% Booked.
The first communication with the manager was a bit strange, I did not understand his question correctly the first time (i am not an american! ) and then he put it in a very schnippigen tone the second time, which I did not like, since he portrayed me as something silly Te.
The room looked OK on the first look, as a motel room stop looks so old-fashioned, dingy carpeted but not unclean and the bathroom was OK too.
Despite everything, the room was totally overpriced – just under 400 euros for 2 Nights.
Since we were quite exhausted from the long drive and had to get out early the next morning, unfortunately we did not notice that this bed was teeming with bed bugs. We noticed this only on the day of our Departure.
The white sheet was full of blood stains and crushed bed bugs.
You can't imagine how disgusting that Was.
Of course we complained immediately, but unfortunately the receptionist could not do anything for us, as we had already paid in Advance. She gave us the Manager's email address, but he did not respond to our complaint letter.

Worst welcoming EVER. The first guy at the front desk did not even try to understand us at all (same question ask in others hotel and they didn't have any problem with our english). The one who understood us didn't want to help because she was "busy" when she finally decided to talk to us she was haughty, unpleasant and aggressive.

Nice clean hotel right by fisherman's wharf in the city. No mini fridge in are room and the wall outlets did not hold chargers so the constantly fell out but overall nice place to stay for the money.

Breakfast too small and staff not friendly.

We stayed here for two nights, the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The rooms do not have a mini fridge which made it difficult to keep our snacks and water cold. If your room is facing the street it could get a bit noisy, but not enough that you can't sleep. The parking is horrible, there are two levels, and the spaces are very narrow. The entrance to both levels are next to each other. We had such a hard time parking our car that we decided not to take out the car unless it was really necessary. This hotel is near a shopping area, there are plenty of restaurants around which made it easy not to drive around. Also we purchased a Big Bus Tour for two days at the front lobby and the bus picked us up at the front door. This Bus allows you to get off in any of their 14+ stops and you are able to catch the bus again in any of the stops. This made it easy to get to know San Francisco and get around. This hotel is good if you plan on being busy thought out the day and just need a place to take a shower and sleep. It was also very affordable.

Worst. Hotel. Ever. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk was being a jerk, and there was no parking. We arrived at the hotel room on the third floor, and the carpet was filthy. The bathroom smelled horrible, and there were cracks in the wall where bugs lived. It was so smelly that it was hard to breathe. When we asked for a refund, the front desk lady tried to trick us by saying she refunded, even through she didn't. The next day, we got breakfast, but it tasted horrible. We immediately left and found a better hotel. Never. Go. To. This. Hotel.

Clean room, friendly staff, parking is not great and sometimes you struggle to find a place. The breakfast is varied and plentiful.

2 nights in June 2016, hotel very clean, underground car park free of charge, breakfast, somewhat older but everything clean, large rooms, to the road we would somewhat noisy, but at any time book. Close to the fisherman's cast and look to the Golden Gate Bridge from the 3rd floor.

The location was grate it was around alot of stores u can drive to or walk to the rooms where very clean and nice inside and the service was OK our room keys had to be reprogrammed twice to get us in the room but over all I had a grate time staying there I will stay there again when I go back to San Francisco.

Just I was there is no so good but this cheap free parking and free Wi-Fi and is located in good place and above all the place where is is clean for those q tines a so-called travel pro bit them should this hotel.

Clean, very convenient, and staff really friendly. If arriving late at night though, stop off first for supplies — only thing around is a gas station 200 yards away. Parking very VERY tight, but if there're no spaces, staff will let you block other cars in and keep your keys at the desk. All in all, very much s budget hotel, but great for what it is!

Very nice and clean hotel. Free parking is great thing but breakfast wasn't so good. Just some sugar-coated buns etc and some fruits plus coffee too. Location is great! Literally just a walking distance to main places like Piers etc. Good value for the money. I would recommend it and I would go back to this hotel.

I rarely review products. This place was such a poor value for the money that I figured I would. 1. ) Staff was adequate. Helped with bags and the rental bicycle company I used. No real problems with them. 2. ) Breakfast was horrible. Coffee was maybe the worst coffee I ever had. Imagine folgers and then imagine something worse than that. Also, they had a cereal dispenser that would shower flakes all over the floor because the bowls weren't big enough to catch the cereal. Also, if you really like inedible green bananas, then this place is for you. 3. ) One elevator. Sometimes the lights for the floors illuminated some times not. Nothing like standing there hoping that the elevator had registered your button push. I would have preferred the stairs except they weren't contiguous. Which meant to traverse two floors you had to go down a flight, then walk across the first floor and go down another flight. 4. ) Vending. Soda Machine on the third floor was broken and the one on the second floor didn't take bills. 5. ) Room. Hot. Always hot. The window unit wouldn't cool the room no matter what temperature I put the thermostat on. I think it was basically a fan with no real cooling mechanism in it. Also, we had this bar that stuck out from the foot of one of the beds that we ended up putting a coffee mug over because after one of us got "shived" by it we decided it might be a good idea to protect ourselves.

Old and small, but relatively well maintained. The location is awesome — walking distance to the Fisherman's Wharf, lots of restaurants nearby on Union street. Easy access to everything on US-101 Lombard/Van Ness. The parking lot is small, but there were enough spots to park even on a tourist-busy Christmas weekend.

We were in December 2012 in the Buena Vista Motor Inn. The location for exploring San Francisco is good, the free parking is a big deal in SF. The hotel has in order to correct rooms, a very small lobby, but friendly staff. Can I as a starting point for exploring the hotel by SF highly recommend.

Great location, free parking, room is OK and it's quite cheap.

Good location, clean and well maintained room, comfortable king bed, friendly and helpful staff, free parking is tight but adequate. We are delighted with this place! Public transit is close and convenient. We stayed 4 days and got our money's worth out of 3 day transit passes, saving a bundle on parking and freedom from traffic hassle. We'll be back.
