Great location. Staff super friendly. Tamarind restaurant absolutely beautiful. Rooms are lovely and big. Lots of room. Pool across the road at the other Pullman is better. Pullman reef is quite and relaxed.

Can't say enough about how helpful and accomodating the staff at this hotel were for our weeks stay. The concern expressed and assistance given when we needed medical care, was over and above the staffs duty. The food was excellent in all areas including room service. We especially appreciated the breakfast service and staff. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all needs met. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and in future will always stay here.

I stayed here for two nights while visiting Cairns for work. The rooms were very high class with a spa bath in the room. They also have a gym area and sauna. There was also a very nice restaurant down stairs that do a wonderful buffet breakfast. All the staff were terrific and very helpful.

Love the service here. The staff are great and very helpful. Rooms fit the tropical environment and housekeeping is doing an outstanding job. Only two remarks — the lovely Merchant Cafe which is great for all day food should stay open a little longer than 3PM and the gym is in a terrible condition. Should add some equipment — Bench press, Cables, Shoulder Press, etc — not a place to work out properly and had to go to one of the local gyms. Otherwise great as always.

Great food at a great price for the area in the bistro. Would recommend on the price alone. Around $5 to $10 cheaper for the same meal out on the Esplanade. They were quite busy but the food got out to us in a reasonable time and was great.

Always a fun time at the casino, even if you don't always win. A great place to meet up with friends, watch your favourite sport on the large screen, play a few table games or try your luck on the pokies. Excellent entertainment every week and huge variety of eating options from your choice of restaurants. You can't g wrong meeting up at the Pullman Reef Hotel Casino. It's a winner in my books.

The Big House as its known to myself and friends alike is a Cairns icon. Whether its a punt on the roulette, poker, blackjack or a meal at one of their fabulous restaurants or a chillout listening to the array of live music at the newly refurbished front bar they've got a little something for everyone. As well as the big screen upstairs for all your sporting events live. Get down there quick smart and get on it.

Quite close to sea to the outer islands and Fort Reef Pier, walking about five minutes to the other side to the Keynes CBD supermarkets and restaurants are also about 5-8 minutes, so more convenient …

The room was clean and beautiful, staff were friendly and the whole place has a great atmosphere. Really close to the city so good for shopping and going to the beach. Would stay here again.

After the depressing hospital news. It's time to enjoy my remaining days enjoying my life. What better way is a one night stay so we could visit The Great Barrier Reef. The room and bathroom were spacious, spotless and perfect for our stay… The reception staff were charming and the in-house Chinese restaurant was truly exceptional and the pool was perfect for our stay… I highly recommend this place because of its great food… It's marvelous…

Really great hotel with comfortable bed, well appointed rooms and very friendly staff! The loyalty perks are great and the in room mini bar is a nice touch. The only real negative is the cleanliness of the walls /floors in the room. The carpet was a bit stained and there were stains on the wall by the tub. Lots of great restaurants nearby on the esplanade and the walk along the water is really nice.

A Very popular place day and night. Right on the seaside where all the smaller water craft anchor in a safe harbour Ships from overseas 200ft to as big as the cruise ships all anchor up. People from all walks of life just enjoy the relaxed and fun nights that can be yours for the asking I took my wife and daughter there today for my wifes birthday and the staff were ever so attentive and there the moment we wanted something. Most enjoyable and going back there on the weekend. Regards Gardy.

Spacious layout, plenty activities and entertainment. Staff could be a tad more friendly and welcoming. Many dining options reasonably priced. Has live music lounge but could use better music within gaming room.

Stayed here earlier in the year. Cairns is a beautiful place and this hotel does justice to the place. Location is great, close to the wharf to get to great barrier reef. Breakfast is plentiful, rooms well appointed and great size. Will stay again.

W had a great time at the casino and new hotel changes look fantastic, I would have like have had more drink choices from the min bar and fridge to drink. There was no fruit juice to drink from the fridge. Also you got rid of the bath bombs in the presidential suite. You should have replaced with some bubble bath product would have been nice. Overall we enjoyed staying at your hotel. I think the presidential suite was fantastic.

Lovely big room. Really comfortable bed & pillows. Bathroom luxurious with thick soft towels. Having a separate room for the toilet was great. The complimentary mini bar was much appreciated. Had a meal in the Chinese restaurant, the food was very tasty. Breakfast was superb with lots of choices in the buffet and being able to also order from a menu was unusual but very welcome. Altogether a happy experience. Can't wait to come back again.

I had a fabulous stay and would thoroughly (and have been) recommend every part of my experience. Everything was easy and so completely relaxing. Loved the pool area especially as a great spot in the sun to relax and read. It was a little noisy with the building pumps but hey, it's hard to find the perfect world! Absolutely loved my corner room and it's layout. Stunning views and sunrise/set scenes over the water and onto the hills. Love to come back!

Our first impressions were positive. We were given a very friendly and warm reception. Our room was large and, in the main, very clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of complimentary beverages on offer. When we started to unpack our luggage we notice there was very limited drawer space available. The room could well do with a tallboy. Also there were only four coat hangers, which is ridiculous for a couple staying for 6 nights, as was our case. However, this was rectified when I contacted housekeeping, who delivered six more coat hangers, thank you. The bed was very comfortable with a good range of firm and soft pillows at our disposal. The Bathroom was large with a good range of complimentary accessories. Overall our accommodation was very good. I like to exercise each day, and my selection of a Hotel is very dependent on a good fitness centre. I was a little disappointed in the equipment on offer. The room needs an additional multi station and perhaps a ab machine. The sauna was not on so we couldn't use it. Also, on a number of occasions young children were playing around on the equipment, which was both annoying and a safety issue. Suitable signs need to be place in the room prohibiting children under the age of 14 using the fitness centre. The pool was good and well maintained. Each morning we were treated to a wonderful breakfast at the Tamarind Restaurant. We also dined there on our first night, and were treated to a great meal.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the welcoming email received prior to our stay, followed by a friendly and warm welcome at check in, to the thoughtful addition of complimentary drinks. The facilities were excellent — the pool area was fabulous. Really enjoyed the breakfasts at Tamarind restaurant. This China Cafe restaurant was not good — food was cold and not very appealing. The Casino and Bar 36 were great. Would definitely return at next opportunity.

When I arrived Sam made me feel welcome and everyday when I saw him he asked how my stay was going. When I arrived in my room Andrea Shepherd had organised a welcome gift for my room which was also greatly appreciated. The room had a everything a traveller could want. I especially liked the comfy bed, linen and towels. The balcony had furniture and enough room to get outside to see the weather conditions. I read the info about not needing heating in the tropics. I am not sure about this at 5 floors up facing south and at night. I felt cold on occasions. The breakfast and staff in this area ran a tight ship dealing with a lot of people in a short time. They were welcoming and efficient. Bar 36 was also good and had a different live music experience each night. The pool looked inviting. This area could be improved with a renovation job. The Casino is in the building including a sports bar if that is of interest. I went a few times. The drink vouchers were appreciated in bar 36.

We were extremely happy to arrive at the Hotel and be treated like royalty with all the extra benefits given to us with drink voucher's, mini bar and breakfast let alone come back from watching State of Origin downstairs to be greeted with a bottle of Champagne for our Anniversary for which we enjoyed in a spar bath! We haven't had a night like that in years! The room was so spacious whereby we enjoyed the music flicks on the television and had an exercise workout before going out. Great views from the balcony… I could go on and on but all in all it was an unforgetable experience which all helps to keep the flame burning in our marriage. Thank you very much!

The Pullman Reef Hotel and Casino is one of the best value and comfortable hotels I've stayed in (and the best in Cairns). Loved the inclusions — mini bay, breakfast and free drink at the bar. The room was great — as a Platinum frequent flyer I stay in lots of hotels and this is the first hotel I sat on the balcony in the sun, drinking a complimentary wine and doing some work. Just lovely. The toiletries were divine, and location perfect for exploring Cairns. I would highly recommend and is well worth the price tag.

The hotel staff is friendly, the service facilities are humanized, such as putting a sofa chair in front of the reception desk, so that the guests from afar and travel can sit down and have a rest while they check in. The lobby is equipped with many sofas and chairs to facilitate the guests to discuss and chat outside the room. The room is clean, tidy and spacious, and the TV can receive the Chinese channel program. A complimentary breakfast is served and the staff is attentive.

To be honest, The worst place ever. I stayed 4-6/May 2016 @ room number 304 What the hell I am not allowed to order an omelette if I eat hot buffet breakfast? Is this so called a 5 star hotel? Yeah? Go and stay in Hilton cross the street. At least they will allow you guys to have an omelette for the breakfast. Ridiculous!

Excellent. We had a very good time — the room was fabulous and the service was cheerful and prompt (with the provision of a bucket of ice on our two nights) I thoroughly recommend the Reef Hotel Casino as the best hotel in Cairns.

A real step up from my usual stay at the Hilton in Cairns, the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. The room was lovely and the the hotel was nice also… A great experience, thanks…

Nice room, very clean, excellent staff.

The junior suite with king bed was superb, beautifully presented and well maintained. Our fridge was hot when we came in and after a call 5 minutes later maintenance came to fix the thermostat. As well as staff to give cold milk. We were very pleased with the prompt response. The pool area was lovely, after 5 failed attempts to get onto anyone via phone for pool side service we got into the front desk and they were extremely apologetic and food came quickly with lovely service. At the same time we let them know about the pool door handle being broken which was affecting other patrons entry into the pool — maintenance staff were sent immediately. We loved the small touches, such as the complementary water and chocolates at turn down. Overall what we would expect from 5* service.

Everything was perfect. Staffs were all very friendly and helpful. Facilities were good. Breakfast was great. We had a lovely stay. Thank you guys very much.

It was one of the best rooms I have stayed in a hotel. All your staffs were courteous and helpful.

As always the hotel and staff were exceptional… one disappointment, I became sick during the stay with severe gastro and had to check out one day early. The lovely receptionist said she would check if anything could be done under the circumstances… her manager said no! Whilst I understand rules are rules, however, as a regular to this hotel and a club member, I thought that there could have been some leeway given… perhaps the difference between being god and being great? This will not stop me from staying here again… but I guess it is better to leave a sick guest with a positive rather than a negative to communicate to his peers abut the empathy and sympathy shown in these circumstances?

Great hotel with very nice rooms. The casino is small but has most games you'll need.

Went to the casino after a Taipans game. Had some drinks, saw some babes, lost some money. Good times.

We have just come back from Cairns and stayed at the Reef Hotel Casino. We had the best time and the staff at the Reef Hotel Casino were fantastic especially Peter and Matthew at the front desk. They went out of their way to answer our questions and book our tours for us. Will definitely be staying here again. The rooms were very clean and cleaned every day. We stayed on the 5th floor which had a great view and overlooked the pool. Breakfast at the Tamarind was great and the service was all you could wish for. Rooms were quiet and you couldn't hear the casino below. All in all a lovely experience and highly recommended. Mary and Alan Pevitt.

EXCEPTIONAL We stayed for our 50th Anniversary, & could not fault it, we had a suite room, beautiful, C coco's restaurant for dinner, very very nice, & breakfast Super… perfection all around.
