Thank you Meika, Melanie and Heidi for such a wonderful holiday, we had a great time. My children Bella and Billy loved Bay Village so much that they have insisted we come back to stay for our next holiday.

Excellent Spot close to town.

Absolutely disgusting service.
You dont get what you are paying for and they argue with you and insult you.
Their food is disgusting and we walked out.
Noisy neighbours.
Noisy kids.
It was advertised as ground floor, daily service and parking spaces. It was top floor, service once a week and no car park. They will be hearing from my lawyer for false advertising and fraud. Dryer doesnt work, rust on the furniture and disgusting rooms. Should be ashamed of yourselves. You will be hearing from my lawyer. Your reply will be calling me a liar and not take responsibility for your incompetence and foolishness.

Highly recommend. Cannot thank them enough for how well they have taken care of both my parents over the years. Will definitely be coming back.

The rooms were clean, but a bit of a smell lingered. The staff is friendly and helpfull and the restaurant is great.

Affordable investment. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on overnight stays, but relax with backpacker level, you are in good hands here. Breakfast is undemanding. The attached restaurant is not for a cozy evening.

Very welcome to the top nice little breakfast disappointing no hot salty. No rate for guests from the hotel to the restaurant.

Ammenties were poor, free Wi-Fi was intermittent at best and wouldn't connect on most devices, clothes dryer in room didn't work, hot water system didn't work, not enough towels for guests left in rooms. Overall lack luster performance for the price paid.

Always a great place to stay in Cairns. Friendly staff, lovely rooms, easy walking distance to city. The restaurant is to die for BTW.

A fantastic hotel in what is a truly great city. I stayed here at the end of my 6 week trip in Australia, and found it to be the perfect place to wrap up what was a memorable time travelling around the country. Would very much love to go back one day.

Nice hotel… Rooms are spacious but something has come up in the years.

There is a little outside, but the centre is within 10 minutes walking distance.

Rooms are clean and a good size but this hotel is too far away from anything other than the hospital which is across the street. Staff are nice but will inform you that everything is in 'easy' walking distance. The main shops and restaurants are about 20 to 30 minutes walking in different directions. There are no cafes or convenience stores nearby. The inhouse restaurant is good but does not open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Would not stay here if I had a choice, unfortunately this was organised by NRMA.

Bay village has a nice pool and the rooms are cheap. Overall it wasn't really that impressive, but the main reason for my good review was one of the staff members, Craig. He is a really great guy and was just so happy to help me out! If you do talk to anyone there, be sure it's him!

Booked 3 nights at the bay village Cairns just want to be relaxed and getaway from the freezing Melbourne. To begin with, the check in was delayed as the hotel manager told us could be one hour late before the expected check in at 2pm because the hotel was extremely busy! After voicing our strong dissatisfaction, the manager promised to speed it up so luckily we didn't need to wait 1 hour but around 20 mins. I guess it did signal something is not right about the place. After eventually checked in, the first thing I discovered was the broken cabinet door for one of the overhead kitchen cabinets. So I reported to the hotel which they told me someone would come and fix it in the morning that never happened. The worst thing happened at the second day that my younger son was playing near the coffee table. He bent down to pick a toy and his forehead hit the corner of the coffee table! The next thing we saw was a deep cut on his forehead and he started bleeding heavily! I then found out that the glass top of the coffee table was broken. Given that my son was only bent down his head when hitting the coffee table, the glass top must have been broken before that. Since I found that the kitchen cabinet door was also broken before we touched it, I a very convinced that the glass top of the coffee table would be also broken before we used! We then ended up in the Cairns emergency for couple hours. My son had to be stitched up by doctor and could leave scar on his head.

Mum and I had an awesome experience here celebrating my upcoming birthday. The staff were always helpful and friendly… especially Giovanni! Giovanni helped us choose our tours and activities after listening carefully to the places we wanted to explore. Giovanni truly loves his job… he's the best! We will definitely be coming back… thanks Giovanni and all the staff for making my birthday holiday so wonderfully memorable!

The hotel is located about a 15-20 minute walk from the main downtown Cairns area and harbor. The facility itself is clean. Our rooms were sparsely furnished, and that's all we needed. The water in the shower can be a bit touchy, but overall a good experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach towels available for use were extremely useful.

Stayed here for 3 nights. It was good I would say. Nothing bad just I think there was no AC, I am not sure.

The hotel is old, outdated and definitely under any reasonable standard. The room stinks, the fan on the ceeling is oscillating in a dangerous way making noise. When I open the tap to get some water a loud sound comes out. I complained twice today, but no solution… I got this hotel from a tour organized by Discover (tour operator). Conclusion: if you want a nice vacation, stay away from this hotel, or better, motel, and do not book a vacation from Discover. I hope this helps.

Beautiful tropical accommodation, in the north of Austrialia. Recommended.

Arrived late at night. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We had only booked for one night, but we decided to book another. He did this no problem. The rooms are clean and a good size. It is a short walk to all amenities.

Really nice halfway between the airport and the city centre within walking distance thanks to a nice walk on the Esplanada that surprises any European with platforms with exercise equipment for collective use, several barbecues always of common use Different tables. Where is the walk widens there is also a swimming pool of common use to remedy the problem of bathing in the sea where you find sharks and deadly jellyfish. There are plenty of games for children and large bike lanes.

Great location for holiday with hiking on the reef and Daintree. Close to Centre (15 min walk). Close to the airport (10min by car). Nice and spacious room with kitchen!

Nice and comfortable hotel, but with very bad Wi-Fi.

The room is ok … too far from the main part of cairns. The staff are nice. Not wrapped in the restaurant food at all. Not really any food place to eat in this area. After a long day of touring we have had to catch bus to main food area for something to eat …

To far from main streets and reef tours however great for esplanade.

Small and a bit on the outskirts but it has all the basics to spend a few days in Cairns. In ten minutes you arrive at the Centre through a splendid seaside promenade (esplanade) equipped. Very good hotel, excellent balinese restaurant both meat and fish.

Fantastic food! We ordered Balinese set lunch for 2 at Bayleaf restaurant. Satisfied! ;-)

The arrangement in the lobby of the hotel is very warm, the dining area is great, rooms are OK, nice hotel.

Nicely decked out for a true Indonesian dining experience. Food was excellent!
