A serene place, helpful staff. Reliable shuttle service to and from Dulles Airport. Doug is especially patient and helpful.
However, I suggest you offer your guests at least two bottles of drinking water in the room on arrival as they can be thirsty guests/travellers.
Your guests will also appreciate a buffet of halal food.

As a frequent Hyatt customer, this is one of my favorite Hyatt properties in the area. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, breakfast is always reliable. Extremely convenient to and from Dulles airport. The fitness center is cozy, but the treadmills are modern and fully featured. I'll definitely make a point of staying here again in the future.

Very Nice Hotel centrally located in a great business area near the Airport. We had a good Front Desk Person Sam who was very nice and attentive to all our questions and needs.

Definitely 5 stars! Its a beautiful hotel, very clean and comfortable. And that BED! I wish I could have taken it home with me! The staff is incredibly nice and very knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was really good. We will be staying here again when we come to the area.

Very nice hotel with nice view from rooms… I was in 6th floor… I liked the area. Very calm… nice place… near to DC… very good service… especially the breakfast… variety and quality.

Pretty clean and calm hotel away from all the IAD traffic / noise. Awesome people managing the front desk. Average breakfast, nice and clean rooms. Will stay again for the price.

Rooms are nice, but if you are traveling for work or alone there isn't much around. Couldn't get a beer since the system was done. No hot food available. Had to walk next door to the courtyard Marriott for dinner. Next time I'll just stay there.

I just created a Google account to leave this review. We booked day of to stay one night to make my 6am international flight. My mom and I were very impressed with the price, the size of the room, how clean the room was! The gentleman who checked us in was very very professional and friendly! We didn’t get his name but we checked in at 10:00 pm September 5th.

Hotel was very clean. Room was exactly as described. They have free breakfast everyday that's fresh and nutritional. Staff and and concierge are very polite and willing to help and answer any questions I had. I'd definitely recommend to anyone and I will stay here again!

It got the job done for the night. Updated finishes in rooms not being maintained, as patrons damage them. Toilet seat sliding all over the place, carpet snagged at thresholds… to list a few things. We got a different room then we booked. Quiet considering the location to the airport. Other rooms might be noisier. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel. 3 star rating is not because it is a bad hotel, it's because of our experience compared to other stays at other Hyatt hotels.

Clean room, friendly staff. Great aesthetic. The food was surprisingly good. The area is a great walking tour of modern corporate buildings, townhome/ apartments, parks and natural features. A commuter rail depot is under construction it looks like it will be ultra modern. They have airport shuttles starting at 5:00 am running the top of the hour, every hour. A great value.

It is the nicest hotel I have stayed at in the area. Breakfast is ok; pretty much everything has dairy. The beds are super comfy and the rooms are nice and clean.

Staff was nice and helpful. Lobby was very nicely decorated, with a nice cafe area for morning breakfast. Their breakfast selection was pretty small, but still good quality and changed daily. The room was nice, had plenty of space and laid out well. Only complaint was that the shower area was dimly lit, could barely see in there unless I kept the door open.

The hotel is nice and clean. The breakfast is ok, better than most hotels. Staff is friendly. I give it a 3-star because the room keys are garbage. Every time I returned to my room the key wouldn't work. This issue happened to a lot of people and it was extremely upsetting. The gym was closed. Overall, it was a good experience.

This hotel was very well priced and high quality. I guess the area and competition demand that. I came here for an event at nearby Audi USA headquarters.

Conveniently near the airport, and running shuttles to pick you up free of charge makes this an awesome choice if you are visiting DC or surrounding area. Staff is courteous and helpful, rooms are immaculate and well stocked, and the breakfast and coffee are great to get you off on a busy work day or fun family trip. I highly recommend it! Oh and did I forget to mention it was the best price around? Makes this an easy choice!

Clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Very convenient to airport with complimentary shuttle (call ahead) and when the shuttle has time between airport pickups a complimentary trip to an intown restaurant. Ask to use the unsupervised pool as it is kept locked to keep kids or non-guests. Excellent hotel choice.

Great (free) hot buffet breakfast. Very spacious room. Clean. Quiet area. Close to airport. Mini Refrigerator is nicer than most hotels. Heat and air are a window based unit, although there is a wall thermostat — it appears to do nothing but tell you the room temp. It (window unit) has a temp setting but hasnt been reliable. I would stay here again.

Breakfast was really bad. After the second day we would rather have the booked breakfast be left out and eaten outside the house.

Rooms are big and clean. No restaurant in the hotel though. Also prepare for a lack of a microwave in the rooms but they have one down stairs you can use. Breakfast was included and filling. I would stay there again.

The Hyatt Place is usually a quiet hotel, but this stay they had a large group of noisy, ill-mannered students who were congregating in the hallways and up past midnight. The hotel elevators also smelled of cigarette smoke and there was a strong order of marijuana in the hallway. There are viable alternatives nearby that I will use in the future. The hotel completely lacks proper noise insulation in the rooms. Even with the HVAC operating it was impossible to get a good night sleep. The staff is courteous and the breakfast at the Hyatt Place is a bonus. Their coffee is outstanding.

I stayed at the Hyatt Place in December 2017. It was the worst experience I have had as a traveler. The first two rooms I was assigned did not have heat. When I moved the second time, I left my watch which was subsequently taken and not returned. For two days I was told the lost and found room was "locked. " After checking out I was told the watch was found and would be mailed to me. Later, the hotel claimed I said I had found the watch. I filed a police report and will also file a civil suit (I am an attorney). The General Manager Rajesh Singh, has been absolutely useless. He has refused to respond to my letters, receive my phone calls or in any way deal with the theft. So in summary, no heat in two rooms, theft of property and a management which is totally unresponsive.

Very convenient for parking and taking a free shuttle to the airport, nice rooms, free Wi-Fi, and breakfast. Also some nice restaurants within driving distance.

The rooms were large and well-kept. We stayed on the second floor overnight for my mother's birthday and were totally satisfied with the service. We enjoyed the pool (warm and roomy! ) as well as the prompt service when we needed additional items for the room.

Room was superb. Very neat and clean. I was able to go to anywhere nearby easily.

Nice friendly staff and clean rooms. The breakfast is better than average. The only small issue is if you are on the higher floors facing the airport, then you can hear the jets taking off all night. It's not loud, but noticeable. I enjoy staying at this location whenever I am in Herndon for business.

Stayed here for one evening after my wife returned from a trip, late evening flight. We always travel with our pup so we were glad to see that Hyatt is pet friendly. Our room was large, we ate dinner on the couch and watched TV. During dinner, I caught a whiff of vomit odor near the couch. After our dinner's odor died down, it was extremely apparent that someone had recently vomited on the floor and proper steps were not taken to fully sanitize it. When we went to bed, both of us began experiencing upper respiratory symptoms and the source appeared to be the AC. It had not been cleaned in a long time and the only way we could breathe easy was to turn it off, leading to a hot evening. We were both too exhausted at that point to complain and doubted another room would solve the problem. We notified the front desk at checkout and they did not appear concerned or apologetic. A few good things — the hotel is close to anything you could want, including a great sushi place and convenience stores. It took about fourteen minutes for me to get to the airport. There is also a nice public park, dog friendly, that is open during the day. Strongly suggest Aloft Dulles if you are traveling with pets — no fee, cleaner, and 24/7 shuttle to the airport.

The interior was nice, but a lot of things were wrong. The day I checked in one of the elevators was broken and did not get fixed until the next day. Then I got to my room and it was hot. I assumed it needed to cool down. I turned down the thermostat and crashed. I got in at 10:00 pm. The next day still hot. I reported the AC not working and someone came up to reset it. Then later when I stated that it still was not working. The just said sorry and could not move me because they were fully booked. No apologies or alternatives.

The greatest reason to visit a Hyatt property is the ability of their staff to provide cut above hospitality, as was my experience recently. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with healthy options and usual favorites. The atmosphere was unhurried and offered quiet, comfortable dining spaces to wake up and talk. A small incident was responded to with genuine concern. We appreciated the excellent service at check-in, which was very late, but greeted with the same friendly attitudes mostly reserved for busy day shifts. Checkout/morning desk service was also outstanding. Our room was clean, the suite more than ample and modernly decorated. The bed slept beautifully. I would highly recommend this location for anyone visiting in the Dulles area, as it's located just about 12 minutes from the airport.

1 — Water pressure is too low (almost none) making your time in this hotel unpleasant. 2 — Dirty: unclean towels with spots and markings on them. Hair in the bathroom! 3 — Slow service for residents and guests. They take a while to respond to your request. 4 — Very inconvenient shower system in the bathroom. A one that only have fixed shower head at the top with no faucet near the ground. The aforementioned shower head releases few amount of water. These two points makes the bathing experience unpleasant.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. The room was ultra modern, spacious with a nice view. Breakfast wasn't so grand but was nice. Very close to the airport and shuttle was available for pick up on arrival. Awesome place will definitely be back there.

I would give zero stars if I could. We booked a room with 2 double beds online and received an email confirmation. I called the day before to confirm we would have a room with 2 double beds and to advise we would be arriving late in the evening. When we arrived, no room! They would give us a room with a king bed-that doesn't work for my family of 6. What's worse is they made no effort to accommodate us, help us, or make it up to us in any way. The person behind the desk would not give me her name, nor would she call the manager. She said I could talk to him at 7 am when he arrived. Horrendous customer service!

While there's nothing terrible about this hotel, I wouldn't choose to stay here again, given the other options in the area. Everything about the hotel seems sad and tired. The workout room is space, the elevators are slow and groan. The bed was great but the furnishings were outdated. Getting housekeeping service to my room took forever and the only semi healthy option for breakfast was fruit and yogurt. Staff was nice but didn't feel like they know the concept of surprise and delight.

We had a decent stay at Hyatt Place Herndon. Guests on our floor were having a "party" to the point that the local police had to be called. Hotel staff I believed handled the problem very professionally. Other than that rooms were clean, morning breakfast was great. Front Desk did an excellent job with check in.

Sub-par complimentary breakfast is the only black mark against this otherwise clean and comfortable hotel. Great value for the price!

Four night stay in early June 2016 was a dissapointment. Mattresses are covered in some kind of 'material' that sounds like waxed paper. It's no problem if you are by yourself and deaf. The AC was so loud that you could have it on or sleep, just not both at the same time. The hotel had a group of middle school students who were constantly in and out of the rooms slamming doors, yelling, etc. Calls to the front desk were ineffective. Thank god they had them in a seperate area for breakfast. Our room was next to the elevator which overall was no problem unless the elevator stopped on the floor above, then we were greeted with a disconcerting grinding noise. Other than that the breakfast was pretty good and the room was spacious.

Top comfort and services.

My family and I had such a terrible experience. There is nothing like having the staff missing only to find an empty wine bottle in the back and an over-flowing bucket of water in the 'kitchen'. I am glad we left before they served breakfast, as I am sure I would have been ill if I would have eaten anything from that place. Not to mention we were left outside during a rainstorm with two small children!

Pleasant, appealing, easy to get to. Avoid room 225 until they can fix the AC unit: the thermostat was set to off but unit ran continuously, engineer was not much help. Other than that, was worth the Expedia price.

Awful service, bugs in my room, other people's hair all over the place… simply a terrible stay.

Dirty. Crumbs in the hallway from the elevator to our room. Room Number was missing from my door, but wasn't difficult to guess so long as you can count. First thing I noticed when I entered the room was the stain on the carpet. There were stains on the sectional and on the bed linen! I did not feel comfortable but just lived with it since it was very late and only had 5 hours to sleep before getting ready to catch my plane. Reason I'm giving it 2 stars is that my breakfast was good although I had to wait for them to make some coffee. All 4 canisters were empty at the same time, but that's not such a big deal.

I booked a to bedroom suite and they gave it to another person I have to have a roll away placed in my room, the customer service was atrocious. The most unprofessional un accommodating un helpful staff I've seen in my life. My 60 year old mother had to carry our 6 bags on the car no one helped her or offered to help us. Not to mention this storm that they didn't prepare for in the slightest. If I were you book a stay at the Marriott or holiday inn. This place is the worst hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying in.

Mostly a typical Hyatt Place. My biggest complaint is that the A. M. Skillet breakfast is advertised on the website for this property, but the breakfast did not live up to the claim. No signature breakfast sandwiches or fresh fruit. Our heat didn't work either, so the room was a chilly 60 degree. But hopefully that will be fixed. Update: Second night the heat was fixed and breakfast was much better. It appears that management may be interested in making customers satisfied. That is impressive. My recommendation; go the the Sheraton next door.

Very busy in Christmas Day. Breakfast is crazy as theres only one staff cooking and about 50 people trying to eat and go to the airport to catch their flight. Pool was freezing, although they have a lifeguard on duty which is unique in hotel pools in my experience. I also noticed that none of the floors have vending machines because they want you to buy stuff from the front, I've noticed many hotels are beginning this practice. The front desk was very efficient in checking us in. the TV in the room is in the middle between the couch and the bed which is awkward if you have kids trying to sleep while you're trying to unwind while watching TV. The TV did have an easy panel for you to hook up your laptop, but a minus here is that you cannot actually see the TV from where the desk is located.

Awesome rate for sn awesome room. We looked hard to find a hotel with one room for 6 adults. Breakfast each morning was great. There was always a gourmet type dish along with the usual bagels and oatmeal. Fresh fruit.

We stayed at the hotel for just a night and we arrived very late (around 2am) but we still could check in. The room looked very nice but we had to build the pull-out sofa ourselves even we sad we would need it and we even had to go down to the reception again to get blankets for the sofa. Then the lock of the bathroom door didn't work which is very annoying when you're with friend's little kids. At night the air conditioning is really loud and it keeps turning on and off what makes it really hard to get enough sleep. Really good though was the free breakfast. The kids loved it and there was nothing missing. The hotel is pretty nice and affordable for one night when you're like heading to the airport or just go want to see Washington.

Beware of Westin Washington Dulles Airport and Hyatt Place Herndon, VA! How do you feel if your reservation got cancelled at the last minute after spending three weeks to make a reservation for your group for a special event? Yes, that's what happened to us. They left us no place to go at the last minute. Westin Washington Dulles Airport Hotel told us that they made an error by double booking and dropped our group like hot potatoes. Hotel showed no ethics, no integrity, no faith, no service. They showed no care toward us and told us that they will replace us with same quality Hotel in lieu of their mistake. But shoot us with third class hotel with same rate with one man operation. Hotel name Hyatt Place, Herndon, VA. We were very disappointed with this Hotel because their service was not meeting to our expectation. Most important thing to inform you is that they withdraw almost $ 500.00 more money after we paid the final bill upon their request, and left the hotel. How do you like that? Both Hotel pulled the stun like this to us for those who travelled 2, 000 miles away from home, we felt real pressure and sad. What do you think? Therefore, Please beware of these Hotels! They might pull the same stun like this to YOU.

We booked the Hyatt through Priceline for August 9, 2014. The reservation was for a room with 2 Queen beds. However, when we arrived we were told that they were out of rooms with 2 Queen beds and could only give us one King bed and a pullout sofa bed. Their excuse was that the room that was reserved for us was given to walk-in customers. They should have done the exact opposite. Later on, while speaking to another customer who had booked through Travelocity, I found out that they too have faced the same situation. Why would anyone want to book a room at a Hyatt and sleep on a pullout bed? This seems like a scam that they are running. They advertise low prices on travel sites for rooms that they do not wish to offer customers. Once you get to your hotel at night you really don't have the choice of walking out and looking for other accommodation. My wife and I have booked hotels through Priceline and Expedia in the past and have never experienced this type of service even in chains like Motel 6. Once we complained to the staff we were told that the manager Jason Suh would call us the same day. We are still waiting for the call. I am very disappointed and angry with the way we were treated. The hotel room was like in any other motel room. The room had a big screen TV, table and couch. Since this is close to the airport and on the flight path you will be woken up at night. I wrote to Hyatt and I'm waiting for their response. I will not a pick a Hyatt for my next stay.

OK, I chose this place for what is now, asinine reasons, so much of the blame falls on me. That being said, I kinda regret staying here. On a positive note, the ront desk staff were very friendly and helpful. By far the shining part of the hotel. As for the rest, I think they hired a VERRRY good photographer because the hotel looked a LOT bigger in the pictures. The pool hours are kinda strange, plus it's pretty blah and the "fitness center" is more like "A room with a 2 treadmills, an elliptical machine and bike, and a few weights". The 24x7 food they had was pretty decent (awesome cookies), but the breakfast was pretty sad. The room itself was. "meh". The cleaning ladies that came through did the minimal, such as making of the bed (vacuuming I assume) and such, but no new soaps, etc. Wi-fi is free, Overall If you are staying just a night or 2 for business or a quick visit, not a bad choice, but I would advise other places for longer stay. Very few perks here.

Our room was extremely dusty. All horizontal surfaces were coated with dust. I cleaned more dust in one day than the staff did in the previous 90 days. The carpet was not vacuumed sufficiently during our stay. We kept finding things on the floor that did not come from us. The air quality in the room was such that we suffered serious sinus congestion and other symptoms. The room AC/Heater was completely clogged with dust, and I got the staff to clean it, but they neglected to clean the mildew on the register. I took it to the front desk and showed it to them, demonstrating with a moist towlette how easily it cleans off, and reminding them of the health implications. The manager looked like a deer in headlights, and responded that the units were all cleaned earlier in the year. Bad answer, mam. This is the END of the year. Their policy is to change the bed linens every 3 days, but ours were not changed until the 5th day after we complained. Their free breakfast is poorly run, constantly running out of food and coffee, and the staff does not keep up with dishes, silverware, or cleaning. I could see that this hotel manager doesn't bother to follow up on the work of her staff, or doesn't know that she should, or doesn't know how to enforce standards. Or maybe they have none. Won't go back.
