We checked in late, happily greeted and welcomed. Room was what was expected, two beds, nice TV, mini fridge, microwave, Paul Mitchell amenities. Free internet and hot breakfast. Delicious make your own waffles, cereal choice, bagels, English muffin, fresh fruits, yogurt and Greek yogurt, hot cheese omelets and sausage. All staff was professional and friendly.

Staff was overwhelmed. When we pulled up in our car we noticed a large, air conditioned tour bus in the parking area. We had hopes for a pleasant long weekend off from work, but this was the first sign of what was to come. The Washington DC area hotels are a popular destination for bus tours in the late spring and Summer, and when they occupy a hotel, every other guest is immediately demoted to last place. We made the best of our weekend regardless, but the motor coach crowd arrived noisily late at night and had hallway conversations, visiting each other and letting the doors slam at all hours. They stood outside on the sidewalk by our window and had nighttime chats. And in the morning, the bus pulled up under the archway (near our window) and let the diesel engine run for a couple of hours while the tour group had their meal. The tour group took over the breakfast hall for over two hours, rolling into it with their luggage and occupying every square foot. Even ducking into the buffet to grab food was impossible, because the kitchen staff was overwhelmed. They filled up the area waiting for her to bring more. I can't blame anyone in particular. It looks like they were having a great time. The hotel is simply not designed to serve that many people all at once, nor does it have a waiting area large enough for that many people and their luggage. It was rainy much of the weekend, so they couldn't take their stuff outside. And I guess they were tired of sitting on the bus.

The receptionist was very warm in welcoming and he showed the facilities around before check in. Parking is quite enough and the rooms are well kept. The breakfast spread was also good specially the varieties of egg (boiled, scrambled, egg&cheese). Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend this place.

I had quick turnarounds for flights into and out of Dulles, so I was only at the hotel for a few hours each time I've stayed. It is less than 15 minutes from the airport and from rental car facility. The check-in staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. As long as the price continues to be inexpensive, I'll stay there again when flying into or out of Dulles.

Nice clean hotel with an excellent staff and great customer service. The bed is super comfortable and the room has all the amenities I needed for a short stay, plus free Wi-Fi and cable tv. I would definitely book again in the future.

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. I stayed three nights travelling for business. The staff was friendly, but the lobby was a noisy party room at night. I had to call the front desk two nights in a row to have the loud group quiet down at 10p. M. The walls are paper thin so you hear every door slam and conversation in the hallway. The maid service forgot to replace toiletries so I had to call the desk for that also and my room wasn't vacuumed. I do not recommend this hotel. There are better options for the price.

Friendly Staff, Excellent Service, Great Breakfast. The nightly manager at the desk, Ethan, truly made the experience at the Fairfield Inn & Suites beyond what was expected. His presence at the hotel made it feel like home. He knows how to greet and connect with every person who walks through the hotel doors. Additionally, the breakfast offered was warm, delicious, and varied every morning to ensure we weren’t tired of the same food. The women who ran the breakfast buffet were very nice and respectable to all who came in. My room was cleaned and resupplied every morning when I was out and I never once had to ask for anything. The shuttle will take you within a certain radius of the hotel and it’s a nice benefit. Because of the combination of Ethan and his efforts in ensuring my stay at the hotel were as comfortable and stress-free as can be, the woman who took care of the breakfast buffet, and all other perks, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay here again.

Convenient location, grocery store right next door, variety of food across the street. Coffee in the lobby and free breakfast were nice perks! One tip, don't get rooms close to the kitchen area on the first floor, they were noisy in the morning.

My husband and I came down to Herndon for a craft beer festival and chose this hotel based on the stellar reviews and reasonable price. We were impressed by the complimentary breakfast (eggs! bagels! waffles! ) and round-the-clock drink station (lime-infused water! coffee! tea! ). Our room was clean, comfortable, and efficient; we appreciated the refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig. If we had to make any suggestions, they would be for the staff to wait until breakfast is officially over before cleaning up (if breakfast is available until 10 AM, don't put the condiments away at 9:55), and the other would be to better insulate the room doors. We could clearly hear the conversations of passersby, almost as if they were in the room with us. In short, this was a well-thought-out hotel with a friendly staff, and we will certainly come back for our next visit to Herndon.

Room was very comfortable, close to the airport and had transportation. A little disappointed in the room quote error and did not credit me back. But after a day of flying and getting stuck, I just wanted to sleep! Have you ever tried booking a room online after midnight for that night, can't do it!

Staff is very outgoing. They like to joke around with you also. Very personable people here. Rooms are small, but they get the job done and they're very clean. TV is pretty big which I never see in hotels like this, so I'm fine with that.

VERY Nice hotel with well appointed rooms. Not only is there a fridge but also a microwave and kurig. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable — no gross bed spreads here. Was not able to check in early (12:30) but was able to check in around 3:00. Room itself was quite but exterior noise such as the bus idling outside our window at 11:00'at night and the stairwell door opening and closing were not helpful. A lot of big groups stay here, so while there was a very lovely breakfast it was too crowded so we got coffee and left. Front desk staff is very nice and helpful.

They offer a hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel. They only have one driver, so it may take awhile. I had a scheduled time to go back to the airport from the hotel and was late because the van driver was picking up at the airport. I was late to the airport so give yourself a lot of extra time. The free breakfast is good and offers plenty of variety. The woman who is runs the breakfast is very nice and friendly.

My stay over the memorial day weekend was superb!. The room is very clean. The hallway is sparkling. The staffs are wonderful and friendly and respond to request very fast. The breakfast is terrific with fruits in abundant and varieties to choose from. I will definitely want to go back.

The hotel is in a quiet and clean location, the rooms are very large and clean. Everything you expect to find in a hotel room was there, for example there was a Keurig machine, in addition to a nice surprise, this was the first time I saw a microwave oven in a hotel room. I would book again at this hotel.

I stayed a night and for me it started with the noisiest bathroom fan that gets on everytime the light switch is on. I complained to the front desk and I was told he will send his engineer but never did. When I was about to sleep I noticed hair after hair on the bed. I never slept inside the bed and I feel like the bed sheets are never changed and was worried about possible bugs. I lay on top of the bed with the room light on with the hope the bed bugs if any will not get me. No sign of freshly washed sheets with all kind of hair on the sheet and the blanket. I left the hotel before 6 am and I still feel dirty. Very bad experience.

I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn quite a bit. The staff was super helpful, Hala and Leena both, and everything was pretty nice. The breakfast was hot and good. The showers were even nice! Overall, I was very pleased with my stay, especially compared with other recent hotel stays.

The staff at the Herndon Holiday Inn is amazing. I have been here numerous times and have had great experiences each time! I get upgraded every time I stay here and even though it isn't the best suite available, the gesture is more than enough when coupled with the customer service. Any time I need to come to Reston, I will stay here. Thanks everyone at this Holliday Inn, you guys (and gals! ) rock!
