This place was clean and the room was comfortable. However, I requested extra pillows, an extra towel, and a washcloth as there was only one. I ended up going to Walmart for pillows, I got one extra towel, and no washcloth. The maid was very nice. When I asked the man at the desk for a 1st floor room (I was in a boot for an injured foot), he said I should have requested it at the time of reservation although I had made the reservation 3 months before and only got the boot on a few days before traveling. I guess it was okay for the money. I probably would stay at the Motel 6 next door next time.

The location is nice it was close to the road but not too close so there was no noise. My room was great just wish it was a little warmer. For breakfast they serve cereal and donuts with milk and juice.

You feel delighted when you spend less and get most of the comfort when you stay here.

The value of the staff and people wanting a getaway from the normal of people who control the incorrect way, this is the place to stay. Value and comfort are the key aspects of this motel.

Horrible place pool had mold growing in it TV was busted hot water didnt work door was busted smelled horrible! And would not refund our money we werent even there 30minutes.

The motel is cheap and quiet. The office is helpful. Its close to the space center, the bay brook mall, and pretty close to Galveston!

Don't be fooled by the cheap rates, this little inn has big comfortable beds, very clean rooms, and very nice front desk staff. It's also right next door to a Waffle House if you miss your free breakfast! I'd definitely stay again.

We literally only slept there but the bed was nice, it had a fridge. A bit pricey I felt but I just found out it was Mardi gras weekend so that may have affected it…

One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. 2 towels only. Lock on door broken. Bathroom door broken. Multiple electric outlets jacked up and would keep devices plugged in. “Satellite tv” that only got 2 channels. Breakfast the next morning consisted of a few weeks old donuts, bagels, muffins, or toast (like seriously rock hard) … or usual cereal with off brand Frosted Flakes or fruity pebbles. 2 stars because ac worked and hot water worked. I would stay here again and wouldnt have booked if I had known what I was getting into.

Decent hotel. Clean and quite large room. Attention reservation for 3 children and 2 adults validated but only 2 beds "Queen size" on arrival. Fortunately in our luggage we had planned an extra inflatable mattress in order to avoid any unpleasant surprises of this kind!

This is one of the most abysmal motels, and I do not stay in many but rather hotels, in which I have ever had the displeasure of staying. I had no choice but to stay in this place of lodging, because it was all that was available once I was done traveling for work because my home was damaged during Hurricane Harvey. Amenities and condition of the hotel, aside, the customer service is non-existent and the older, black man working the front desk and answering the phones is an absolute disgrace and he should never work in customer service. He was exceedingly rude and not in the least bit helpful, in every single encounter in which I dealt with him. Furthermore, he construed lies about my stay, when I left to stay in an exponentially nice property, saying I have been in that hellhole since the hurricane, which is unequivocally false, as I was staying in a private home in Clear Lake and had only been in their hovel for less than two weeks. When we tried to resolve the issue with the actual general manager, he was also incredibly unhelpful and it took the threat of contacting their corporate office, which I am still doing, before I continue writing reviews on every single site and social media forum I can find.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Very reasonable pricing. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast. Great location.

Great Value! You can check booking websites but for the best value you are better off going into the establishment. The complimentary breakfast is cereal, select fruit, toast, bagels or donuts (which you gotta get there early for the good stuff). Rooms are equipped with a table, desk, refrigerator, microwave, Dish TV and the single is a king size bed which is pretty comfy.

There are better hotels for less money in the area. The room didn't feel clean. It wasn't the worst, but I wouldn't stay there again.

At arrival check in was quick, but very rushed and not the nicest. The room was not cleaned well: the bed linens we're new, clean and unwrinkled but the mini fridge had someone else's food in it and was disgusting. When I brought this up to the front desk, there was no appologies. We did get a new room; however, the front desk tried to make it much more work for us lest they had to do anything. At least the new room had a clean minifridge. The furniture is fairly new and the carpet is maybe a year old (yet kind of gross in places so not well kept up). However, this is as far as renovations go. In both rooms there were large patches of walls and doors who have been punched and then plugged in/recovered very badly. The bathroom is the same one they had about 15 yrs ago when it was a nice esp for the price la Quinta. Except, there has been 15 yrs of wear and tear. The lighting is the warmest light possible ie extremely yellow reflecting off yellow paint and yellowed fixures making everything look yellow. It looks dingy like someone is trying to hide dinginess. Breakfast was pretty bad: two creals which are extremely sugary and cheap, a few muffins that had seen better days, white sliced bread and mini bagels (both the kind you will find f you looked in the grocery store for bread/bagels under a dollar for both), coffee, milk, juice punch (not even orange juice) and a few apples that have seen better days.

The location and price are both good. However, the facilities themselves are a little worn down and have seen better days. More importantly, it seems the cleaning crew is not very thorough: there was leftover food and drinks in the fridge which looked possibly several days old, for instance.

We got there, opened the door — instantly saw at least 4 cock roaches, 2 of which were on the bed. Went to check the bathroom and found at least another 4 that were visable. When my boyfriend went to kill a large one in the bathroom, 4 or 5 more came scurrying out of the toilet. All different sizes, obviously just breeding. When we brought a few dead ones to the front desk to show the woman and get a refund, she tried to give us another room, and was annoyed with us that We wanted a refund instead of another room. We were there for all of 10 minutes and saw over a dozen cockroaches all in all. Do not recommend, it was awful.

The room smelled bad as soon as you got in it. The breakfast consisted of cereal, hard donuts, and outdated milk. The pool was nasty. The toilet stopped working and we were told we'd have to wait till 7:00 a. M. For a plunger, it stopped working 8:00 p. M. That night. What was 5 people suppose to do in that time frame. I've stayed in cheaper rooms that were better than this. I won't be staying there again.

Not to bad of a price for the local area. Parking lot is very open and big enough for trucks (not 18 wheelers). Next door is a waffle house so that was good. Overall nothing to special.

Wi-Fi — is decent at best. It is not meant for gaming. I got disconnected on my phone and laptop very frequently, even at night. Location — The location is good. It is close to the space center. I am an intern, so it was very close to work. Rooms — very nice. It could use improvements here and there. In my room, I had to flicker the switch to turn on the bathroom lights. The bathroom faucet was also broken. It would come off, but still was functional when out back on. Service — I have not had any particularly good or not bad experiences. They seem to have typically good service and staff. Breakfast — Have not had.

Close to the highway and delicious food. Nice atmosphere at an affordable price. Quiet neighbors and easy access to websters amenities.

We paid $71+tax/night. Our first room was dirty. Our second, the door lock was broken. They fixed the lock the next day (we had put a chair under the door knob for the night), then the a/c went out. I was a smoker, and it was a smoking room (we had booked in advance). So the owner said he had to move us to a non smoking room that was reserved, so we could only stay one night. It turned out to be the room the manager stayed in sometimes. The owner had lied. We had to stay our last night in it also. I am physically handicapped, so all that moving was very painful. And it wasn't a very nice room. We were there in June, and the pool was closed. Wi-Fi was hit and miss. The continental breakfast was a complete joke… nothing there. I could go on, but I won't. It just kind of ruined our vacation. I asked for a partial refund for all the inconveniences (we had paid for all nights in advance also), but they refused. Everything should have been working, due to it being the height of tourist season. Never will I stay there again.

Precisely what I expect for a $50 hotel room, more of a motel though. Paint was fresh, some patchwork, new furniture. No bed bugs, or fleas in the room I stayed in. If the site you use to book asks for $10 for the continental breakfast, don't do it. Saddest excuse for a continental I've ever seen.

Oxford Inn was about what I expected for a $50 hotel. It was nice, clean, and in a fairly convenient location. Don't count on the continental breakfast, or pay extra for it, because they don't have any substantial food available. The walls are thin, and you can hear your neighbors. It served its purpose for our one night, but not somewhere I would choose to stay again.

The rooms were honestly great for the price. Pretty economical and their free breakfast was lovely. Highly recommended.

Pictures on Expedia or any other site look better then the real deal. A/C did not work the entire night so kids and I were miserable. The noise was unbelievable to the point we almost called the police as we thought a fight had broke out above us. Spend the extra money and go elsewhere. Will never stay here again.

I was fixing to book in but whoever answer the phone knows nothing about weekly rates, she said come in and we talk about it lol… I told her well I am in Phoenix AZ going that direction, I thought the telephone would be good to discus how much before I drive all the way down there… no military discount, all these Indian people who own their hotels do not honor the military after our local government gave them the chance to come to my country and give them prosperity wow, based on the ratings posted in here there is no way I would put a foot there!

Over priced $hit hole don't recommend the Hindus in the front office are rude AF absolutely the worst "hotel" iv ever been to I would have rather stayed at motel 6

Room 222. Broken heater slept in my coat. Broken bathroom faucet turned water on the faucet came off in my hand. Lol. The wake up call evidently didn't happen due to a broken phone… ha ha ha. The garbage can had a huge cd rack in it on the bottom… junk. I tossed it and bought one… lol. A dead roach found on the bathroom floor. Yuck. Day two a bigger roach belly up alive and kicking on the bathtub room floor. I killed it with morro can oil. Expensive … but worth it. I woke up with 3 bug bites the third night… scarrry… lol. The guy at work asked me if I had ecsema. Lol. Needless to say. … I moved out. Feel healthy now. Good Luck At The Oxford Inn. I did n get a new heater from RUDY. DIPIKA just came to the USA… she did really know English. The breakfast was missed the entire time as the wake up calls never came due to the broken phone… lol. So as you can see I can't rate the food… lol. The pool has a broken lounge chair. Watch out. Your head will not be elevated. Lol.

Room is ok. Wi-Fi does not work well. Breakfast is nothing special. People at front desk very friendly.

Everything went well, Until I woke with itchy bumps on me. So beware. & bring your own air mattress or sleeping bag if you can. You shouldn't have to but you've been warned.

This was a nice hotel. It's under renovations and, though not perfect, is worth staying at. The pool was nice, the bed was large and very comfortable. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was not great. Overall, this is with staying in.

I used to go here multiple times a month for there jacuzzi rooms but the last time I stayed here the tub in the room didn't work and the fridge provided had black mold growing all over the inside. They have changed many things. Possibly with new management, and it's gone down hill. This place sucks don't waste your money. No longer offer smoking rooms either.

I started a one week stay here on Tuesday. Since then the maids have cleaned my room once and it is now Saturday. Last night I ended up cleaning up myself because my two kids came down with lice somehow and when I explained to the front desk the situation and treated my kids I asked for clean sheets so they wouldn't get it again well they told me they didn't have any. So I washed the sheets myself and bagged up the dirty comforters in a bag and set by the front door. The next day the head maid tried to give me a dirty comforter from someone else's bed because it reeked of cigarettes and we don't smoke! When I asked for a clean one I was told again they don't have any so we slept with only a sheet. The room was in poor condition unfinished paint patches everywhere, too many dead ants in their pool to swim which they refused to clean at first, and now my kids are coming down with what looks like flea bites everywhere. I didn't think anything of it until a lady downstairs was complaining to me saying her kid has weird welts on her back so we have realized its not just a coincidence. Do not stay here! I have been trying to reach the manager since I checked in but its a bunch of kids always here running the place and I have yet to hear from the manager! Don't waste your money they also claim they are newly renovated but the tube TVs they have are so old the brand doesn't even exist anymore so that's a lie. They will never be a successful motel unless they stop being so cheap.

I booked this room for Memorial Day weekend. We drove in from Baton Rouge, LA, and checked into the hotel. Took our bags in, and walked around turning on lights. It was about that time I noticed the fleas crawling up my legs. Hundreds of fleas. By the time we realized how bad the fleas were in this "NO PETS" hotel, our bags were full of fleas, our shoes, everything. That is the bad news. The good news. The manager on duty was very apologetic and refunded my money. Of course then I had to find another hotel on Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend without paying an arm and a leg.

The Oxford Inn was literally a "home away from home" for us for two weeks. My son had a severe bacterial infection and was hospitalized 3 blocks from here. The staff and facilities were just what we needed at this time. The comfort of knowing we had a clean, safe place near Clear Lake Hospital was such a relief to parents who are worried about their son.
