Bedbugssssss. The staff had zero cares about the fact that our room was INFESTED with bedbugs. We also were unable to receive a refund because a manager wasn’t on shift. The moldy carpet was also a fav of mine.

I would not recommend this Hotel. I recently booked through IHG rewards for this location on the 27th of September for one night where when I arrived I was met a front desk by Josh who was front desk assistant who was rude and nasty and made fun of my speech impediment and as I begin to ask for a manger he arrived to the desk defensive and unwilling to help and said his name was AJ and I stated to him my concerns and he blew me off saying he has other Hotel duties to attend to. So if you are anyone you know maybe here localy or visiting do not I advise you don’t book at this location.

Everyone was very helpful and kind. The only issue I had was that I was pulling a trailer and had to park far from enterance. I was assured that it would be safe because they had security. Well my car was broken into. Valuable papers were taken.

Paid an extra $20 for breakfast which included apples and oranges when they told us over the phone it was a hot breakfast. When asked, they said they were remodeling. No gym as pictured with the remodeling also. Old and dumpy hotel.

At the time of this writing, the hotel is being renovated following Harvey damage, but the services seem to be expanding. The biggest problem seemed to be that there are two ZIP codes containing the address of the hotel, and there's no East or West on the street name to differentiate them. So be sure to put in the ZIP code (77061) when using a map app to find it. This was an issue, but hardly a deal breaker. On the plus side, Ashley at the front desk was very helpful during the several calls made while arranging parking, and Bing made sure the shuttle got is to the airport in time. Even with the extra time required to get to the hotel, it was so close to the terminal that we still managed to make the most of the early boarding passes we'd bought, and we owe it to the staff for making it possible!

Although it is under renovation due to damage caused by last year’s hurricane, we had the best experience. Each and every member of the staff went beyond their duties and help us out. The room was very clean and the breakfast was great. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

In major remodeling. However, the staff is very attentive, the room very comfortable and the breakfast is rich.
The elevator broke down during my stay and the driver helped me raise my stuff 5 floors, quickly and in a good way. In short, I'd be back. If even in such bad conditions the attention is good, I guess already remodeled everything will be very well.
The hotel has free parking for guests, the rooms have shower and Tina and the air conditioning reaches up to 16 Centigrade.

Unfortunately the construction at this hotel closed half of the parking lot and made the floors smell very strongly of chemicals. We couldn't stay there after looking around. Will probably be very nice after the construction is done. Staff was very nice.

In construction when we went, I wish we knew about that before we booked… But the room is decent, pool looks nice, haven't tried it yet. Hospitality has been great though. Pretty standard airport holiday in. Thanks!

This place was in construction when we stay there. It didnt look appealing at all. Awful bed. I woke up all sore from my whole body due to the bed. THE 2 STARS go to the customer service. Very welcoming and I asked for another bed for the second night and workout further questioning they got me a different room. It was much better.

Very nice employees. Nice pool & hot tub. Bed was comfy. Airport shuttle was very efficient. I would recommend staying here especially if you have an early morning flight out of Hobby.

Plenty of construction goin on had no amenities higher floors still had smell n looked real bad rooms where ok bathroom kinda small.

The staff was friendly and they provided a free shuttle service in the surrounding area up to 2 miles as well as to the airport. The facility was under heavy construction and the pool and bar were closed due to the construction. They are receiving a remodel that will hopefully be better for future visitors.

Do not stay here. Stay at the other Holiday Inn Express about a mile away from here (shuttle included). Firstly, the STAFF here is a disgrace. Rude. They do not care about their guests (except Miriam at front desk). Secondly, CONSTRUCTION everywhere which means dust everywhere, pool closed, fitness closed, restaurant closed, etc. Looks like a war zone. Thirdly, the ROOMS are OLD and dirty. Lots of dust hanging around. Bad smell all around. The furniture is twenty years old. Not a good feeling being here. Solution — — — for the same price or cheaper, STAY at the Holiday Inn Express (new hotel) and forget this nightmare of a place. This horrible place needs to be shut down and renovated entirely before being open.

Sometimes when you see a Hotel that’s “close” to the airport you get one a few miles away, I feel like I could’ve gotten out of my plane and walked to this place. Stay was great, restaurants close by, great customer service and the beds were perfect. Can’t ask for much else to be better.

Hotel is under heavy construction as is 4/27/18. No restaurant and bar. I only stayed for about 6 hrs before an early flight. Front desk staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Flexible shuttle offered and regularly runs to airport, only 5 minutes away.

The worst customer service ever! The employee who checked us in, Martha, was very rude and argued for 10 minutes that we didn't have a park and stay reservation and we couldn't leave my car there without paying more. Finally after calling a manager they told her I was right. 15 minutes after being in our room she called and said since we paid cash upon checkin, we needed to come back down and pay another 100 for a deposit. When we got back from our trip, we called and were told they would be right there. After 3 more phone calls and 45 minutes of waiting at the airport for them to come pick us up, we had to pay for a cab bc Martha said they went to get someone from a restaurant but didn't know where or when they would be returning. When the cab dropped us off, the holiday inn van was still sitting there. The airport is only 1 miles from hobby airport so there is no reason that it would take that long. She very very rude and never apologized or seem to care about anything.

In the process of remodeling. Not the greatest place to park. Breakfasts was ok. Poor view. Looked at storage units for a outside view from the room I was given. Front desk staff was nice. 1 of the shuttle drivers had a bad attitude. Got a good price. Lo.

All this excellent only has no fridge or macro for people who have children is an important detail, but everything else very well.

Our flight was delayed so we had to find a place to stay last minute this was the first place availabl. Upon arrival into the room their was a roach crawling on the wall, the beds where okay, the room smelt musky but we was happy to have a bed and heat for the night in December. The breakfast was okay, we have had better. Then when I looked at my account they charged my debit card twice for the deposit making me have a overdraft in my checking. Needless to say it was my Birthday and a Birthday I'll never forget.

I can't think of any portion of this hotel that was not falling apart; wallpaper was peeling, cabinets in the room were missing knobs, carpets were fraying and peeling. There was no view to speak of from my room, unless you have a fondness for third-party airport parking. The single working elevator somehow had a dirt floor. The pool and Jacuzzi close at ten PM, and I was very much looking forward to that Jacuzzi after work. The airport shuttle service was very nice, and the driver was very friendly. The hotel staff was all very nice. The complimentary coffee pods were surprisingly good.

Hotel/Room was fine however the staff are a joke. SO and I arrived around 9 p. M. On Feb 9th. We walked into the lobby and were stared down by the woman at the front desk and another male employee standing by her. They just looked at us without saying anything, giving us a glare that seemed to say "how dare you interrupt our conversation". Not one word was spoken until we actually got to the front desk when I told the woman we needed to check in. The next morning we left for the airport after a reasonably acceptable breakfast. When we arrived in Denver, I realized I had left my phone charger plugged in next to the bed. This is 100% my responsibility however trying to get it back has been a nightmare. I called that same day from the airport in Denver. I talked to a woman at the front desk who couldn't tell me whether or not anything had been found in the room or if housekeeping had even been to the room yet. She could not put me in touch with anyone in housekeeping either. Feeling frustrated equally at myself and at the front desk agent. Hoping for some kind of resolution, I left my name and phone number and was told I would be contacted after confirming housekeeping had cleaned the room. I heard nothing from them for my entire vacation. When we were on our way home on 2/14, I again called hoping to get my charger back. I again spoke with a woman at the front desk who had absolutely no interest in talking to me much less helping me.

Most unfriendly front desk clerk I've ever encountered at any hotel she was so rude didn't even look up when was spoken to breakfast was cold over cooked mess no skim milk so not every guest is accommodated I can't and won't drink whole milk which is all that's available one elevator works out of two coffee all the way across from breakfast area I work at a holiday inn these people should be embarrassed and if it's like this because of the hurricane maybe y'all should close fix and then reopen I'll never stay nor recommend this place to anyone what a waste of a hard earned hundred dollars smdh.

Nice quiet room with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. It's very close to the hotel and they have a free airport shuttle. They also have a free breakfast buffet that was very good except for the hash browns, they could have used a little more seasoning. Other than that I would stay again.

No complaints here, enjoyed our stay! Staff and shuttle driver are super attentive and went above and beyond. Room was very clean! Beds we're very comfortable! They met our room requests! We traveled here on Christmas day, and stayed here for our pit stop. We understand that a few months ago the entire first floor was lost in a flood, and because of this there is no restaurant. The shuttle driver takes you to where you want to go. Definitely would stay here again if in the area. Showers aren't very warm.

We had an expensive customer service issue with this hotel. We needed to make changes to our plan due to a terminally ill family member. The hotel approved our reservation cancellation and promised to refund our prepayment. The problem was they never refunded our money. They acknowledge approving the cancellation and refund, and simply decided not to honor their commitment.

Was not pleased. I got to the Holiday Inn at around 4am Friday morning. They had tooms available but eanted to charge me for 2 day (Thurs and Fri) Or I could come back at 3pm for check in (11 hrs from then, what! ). Now I understand some polices but at this point the lobby was small and looked a mess because of renovations. I had a terrible experience. I will NOT go there again! I found a much better option and had a great time for only the cost of Fri!

Seems like they are in the process of renovating or refurbishing after the Houston floods not sure as there is no onsite restaurant which one would expect from the Holiday Inn. Also there is no hot water in the mornings.

Very noisy room, sixth floor, no elevator working, food service poor. The worst the alarm of fire rang throughout the 3 nights of my resistance 2 times a night to be false alarms.

I did not like the hotel much, musty smells and looks old in the room really don't like.

Good rooms and close to the airport. You can definitely hear the airplanes but they aren't annoyingly loud.

This location and building are old and in desperate need of a remodel, which they are working on. When I visited the elevators were out due to flooding which was disclosed prior to my booking, but I was placed on floor 3 and the rude/sloppy front desk attendant didn't offer a hand or ounce of concern. The sales manager was great and accommodating. I look forward to staying here again after the renovations are complete.

The hotel was under repair because of hurricane Harvey. There was no elevator service but I was grateful they made accommodation for us because we had an early flight and we didn't want to sleep in the airport. The staff was excellent and helpful despite the difficult situation they are in. I would make a point to stay there after they have all their repairs done.

For anyone giving positives such great room, clean. Your standards must be extremely low. This place smells horrible. I travel a lot and this is by the worst holiday inn I've stayed in. Shady parking too. Can't wait to see if the rental car is stil there in the morning. As for those giving 5 stars, Get out more.

Please be aware adults under 21; while the website says that you must be 18 and financially responsible, that is not the case. You must be 21 regardless of circumstances or published information. My 20 year old son had a reservation and plenty of available funds; however, after a 9 hour drive was turned away. Because their unpublished policy is that they would not accept anyone under the age 21. Stay there if you will, but please watch your bill. Who knows what they will change?

This hotel is older but well maintained and clean. The front desk staff Nick and Dennis was awesome and so helpful. Also the assist chief engineer Marciano was so sweet. When we were at the pool he made sure everyone had plenty of towels. Moved a lounge chair for us. Very good customer service skills. I have stayed multiple times here and have never had an issue. We didn't even hear the airplanes going over like I figured we would. So, Nick, Dennis and Marciano keep up that great spirit of hospitality.

No free breakfast, the guys that pick you up from airport are awesome. The bathrooms have doors that are to tight you can't leave bathroom door open in your room. Noisy from street and airport. If you are a man and want to go to strip clubs they have like 10 within 5 miles. Nothing to eat right around hotel. No refrigerator or microwave. I travel for a living so I might be a little spoiled about some things. Holiday inn express is much better. You would think Holliday inn would be a little classier. They did say something about a remodeling project.

Room was fine, thankfully the AC worked great. I'm mostly upset because it took the shuttle 30 minutes to pick us up from the airport. We got in late with our 18 mo old. I called at 11:00 and they wouldn't send the shuttle because we weren't outside. I called again are 11:10 when we got outside and the shuttle didnt arrive until 11:40. I called the front desk for an ETA at 11:30 and he said 5 minutes. The driver was apologetic and said there was a mix up at the front desk. Don't bother eating at the attached restaurant. My food was terrible.

A convenient location in relation to the Hobby airport, and though that may cause the expected noise issues, the hotel meets the high standards of the Holiday Inn brand. Though the hotel has a coating of age and slightly out-dated elegance, the staff is friendly, the grounds are well kept, and the rooms were clean as well as fresh. A pleasant experience easily worth being able to wake up just 2 hours before the flight.

I arrived after midnight and had to leave early in the morning (5 AM) but the hotel staff was very accommodating. The shuttle took a while to pick me up but I was thankful for the 24 hour shuttle service. The room was nice — very comfortable bed. The shower faucet was older and took me a while to figure out how to turn on, but there was good water pressure and everything I needed. Probably overpriced being so close to the airport but a great place to stay for an overnight if you need to catch a flight the next day!

Always use Holiday Inn to park when Rolando dessert Hobby… it Is the cheapest.

The staff is nice and the restaurant has good food, but the rooms all smell like mold (and they have for the last few years I've been staying). This place is in desperate need of a remodel.
I guess there is a reason it's $40 cheaper per night than the other hotels outside the airport.

The air conditioner did not cool well.

What more could I ask for from a hotel 5 min from the airport. Had a shuttle ready to go every 15 min back to Hobby and provided us with a large comfy bed and cozy accommodation. Food in the lobby restaurant was good too. Had a hot and fresh fajita. Only problem was the elevator was extremely slow. Took 10+ minutes in the evening so we took the stairs. Worked again in the morning to get our luggage down thankfully!

Elevators are unreliable. The rooms are fine for an overnight stay. The one room we were in (515) was a bit musty. The toilet is right next to the door and bathtub. The front desk and the lounge staff are super nice and inviting. The shuttle driver (evening) is very accommodating. A plus service. Overall, okay stay, the rooms can use a little bit of updating.

Attended a single day training in one of the conference rooms. Room was comfortable and clean. Food that was provided was very good, and the staff was very friendly.

Don't. No hot water, spoken to like a 10 year old child when I asked what they were going to do about it and asked for my points back. I am a customer service expert and I say that with all confidence. 2nd time here, 2nd problem, 2nd time being spoke to as though I just kicked your cat. There's a last time for everything. To the young lady this morning. You didn't spoil my day. I still went and bought a boat and drove it home. How was your day? See how that works? Two can act like an infant!

My wife had to be in Houston for a business meeting, and she had to change her room twice to finally get a room with hot water. How can you attend a business meeting without being able to take a shower? Whatever the plumbing issues, they need to address them. Having a quiet room with a good bed and a shower with hot water is not too much to ask, is it Holiday Inn? I’ll never stay in one again… no way!

Staff was friendly and helpful. My first room had a horrible smell of cleaning chemicals. Front desk moved me to another room with no issues. The property is very old with some minor updating.

Unauthorized charge to my card even though I validated my work lodging card prior. After talking to manager nothing was done. They messed up and I'm paying for it. Not to mention all the hair found in the room and tub! Towel rack wasn't even fixed to the wall.

We recently stayed at the holiday inn near hobby airport in Houston. The hotel is a little dated with old beds but it wasn't a bad overnight stay.

The hotel was nice and room were clean. But I have it only 3 stars because the shuttle drive was very rude to my family when trying to get on shuttle. They arrive at 10 pm and went to board shuttle and was informed he couldn't let them board the shuttle since they didn't call ahead to arrange pick up. My neice told them they were never informed they had to do this, the guy still tried to refuse to let them ride. If this is the policy of your hotel it needs to state on website that shuttle service is by request only. If this, is how your employees are trained to treat customers then I will take my bussiness else where. I travel all over United state all year long and almost always book holiday Inn hotel. If your company continues to treat there customers this way there are plenty of other nice hotels that I can take my bussiness to, and since I like alot of my Co works travel for our work I will spread the word about this kind of treatment and my Co workers and I can take our bussiness to a company that will treat us better.

We had a great experience at this Holiday Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. I am glad that I did not make a decision based on previous reviews. We will stay at this hotel whenever we travel to and from Houston.

I didn't stay there, I was just there all day for a seminar in one of their meeting rooms. For lunch we had the mexican buffet in their restaurant. The food was excellent. Three different salads (I had the avocado chicken salad), tortilla soup, wonderful cheese enchiladas, both beef and chicken fajitas cooked to perfection, pico de gallo, hot sauce, and a guacamole salad that was so fresh and tasty that people at my table were commenting on it. I couldn't decide between the three bakery quality cakes, so I had a taste of all three. The Tres Leche cake was wonderful, as was the carrot cake. I'm not a big fan of chocolate cake, but it was ok. I would definitely eat there again. Oh, and the restaurant staff were very nice.

Dirty, not updated, not like you would expect from normal Holiday Inns (which I would say is at least a three star experience). Best Western Plus is across the street and is actually pretty nice for a quick stay. La Quinta is over there as well and is not a bad spot in this area for a quick stay. I would never stay at this Hotel again.

Absolute worst customer service ever. Avoid at all costs.

I don't write negative reviews, But this is the worst Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at. I feel as if this were the most cheap hotel I stayed in. Apart from it being very old and outdated the breakfast lady ask if we were staying Holiday Inn or across the street at four points after she insulted me saying I need to wear a suit to eat breakfast there. I felt very uncomfortable eating as if they were a guard dog, guarding the food. We came in late and asked if we could rest and get a late checkout getting bothered at 9 a. M. In the morning asking us if we were really going to stay late. I only stay at Holiday Inn because they are organized and have good courtesy for their guest but this hotel is everything but " courteous" Worse than a Motel 6 nasty nasty nasty as we were getting ready to leave they came and bothered us one more time. This Holiday Inn compared to no other Holiday Inn and worse service and cheaper and more outdated than any hotel I've ever stayed in, toilet paper rack falling out of wall just to give you an idea. I read reviews all the time, even though this one had lost stars, I decided Holiday Inn have high standards and decided to give it a try and if you are one to read this review trust me don't stay here. Ever.

Poor, poor, poor customer service. Had a sleep over with a lot of little girls and wnt swimming. Had to call a lot of times for some towels and they never ever showed up, we had to go dwn there and get them. The lunch lady that was there was verry rude bumped into me a couple times like I wasnt even there and didnt even say excuse me. I hated this experience they need to get they job together and do better for customers. I sure will be contacting the corporate on these ppl.

Hotel staff need to be prompt, attentive, and friendly. They’re the first thing people often notice about a hotel. When I arrived the staff person at the front desk was none of these things. She took longer than expected and had to double, triple, and quadruple check information given to her before it was entered correctly. This probably had something to do with the fact that she was clearly battling some sort of illness. I later observed her and another employee engaged in some public display of affection in the lobby, in front of guests. I tried to call the front desk to arrange a wakeup call and it took three calls before someone at the “24/7” front desk answered and was able to help me. The room was nothing special. There were extensive spots on the ceiling from water damage and the carpet was physically damp. The room smelled like it had been saturated by an aerosol air freshener. The room had the thinnest single-pane window that not only let in the frigid winter air, but also all the noise of the adjacent highway. Overall, there nothing special about this hotel and there are plenty of other option nearby. I would recommend avoiding this particular Holiday Inn Express.

I was extremely impressed with the hotel, so much so I felt the need to write a review. Look, the place is not the 4 seasons, but in its class I've never been happier. They had a very lavish happy hour and breakfast spread. The internet was free and worked well. The room was clean and very nice. The shuttle to the airport was free and frequent. Very satisfied.

The front desk staff were nice, one of the shuttle drivers was VERY rude and gave horrible service. The lobby is nice, the eating area is nice, the rooms are Poor-Fair. Smelled like smoke, outdated and the bathroom was dingy. I stayed in a room that faced a very bright light, the curtains couldn't block it all. Going to try a different hotel near Hobby for my next trip.

Nothing special about the property. Run-o-the-mill rooms with adequate furnishings. The decor is haphazard, as though put together from items found in hotel clearance auctions and then thrown together to complete a room — matching colors or not. The staff could not care less about customer care or common courtesy. Empty snack boxes littered the front desk — had to push them aside to get the clerk's attention. Simple requests go unnoticed. In fact, I get the feeling the staff rolls their eyes after each encounter. Don't know that for sure; just a vibe I get. This is actually my second stay at this property. I thought my first experience was a fluke. Stayed here again because the location is convenient for visiting particular clients. My second stay confirms that, months later, things have only gotten worse. I generally prefer Holiday Inn, especially HI Express, So, my needs and expectations are fairly simple. Even so, this particular property stinks in comparison to most other locations.
