The people that "work" at the desk, not the manager Holly, are rude and inconsiderate of customers. The 2 males and 1 female were worthless in their caring or customer satisfaction. Apparently, they none take the directives of the manager, Holly. On May 30, 2014, the male employees could not comprehend the customer's situation, so they called in the manager, Holly, to leave her house and come to the motel to solve the problem. In front of the customer, Holly told the 2 male employees to reserve a room for 7:00 PM for the customer for the next night. When the customer showed up at 7:00 PM the next night (May 31) after working a 12 hour shift, there was no reservation. Both males attempted to blame the manager for not making the reservation, but the customer distinctly heard the manager tell them to make the reservation. Then, instead of taking care of their mistake, they totally ignored the customer and left him standing there. When the motel was called to file a complaint with the manager, the female that answered the phone said the manager was not there. When the female employee was asked who was in charge, she said no one was in charge, which already sounds odd. Therefore, the caller told the female the complaint. The female was extremely rude and obnoxious. She kept attempting to talk when the complaint was being explained. She had to be told that if she would quit interrupting and attempting to talk over the caller, the caller would not have to speak loudly. She was even asked if this was how LaQuinta treats their customers and handles complaints. She never attempted to apologize for the inconvenience or incompetence of the employees. All she would say is she had housekeeping cleaning the room right now. When asked why she didn't tell the customer that when he was left standing there while they went about their business when the customer asked for confirmation of having a room for tomorrow night, all she could say was, "He walked out. " Of course he did! He got no information, apologies, help, understanding, etc. Basically, all 3 of them blew him off! At that point, the female did say she was sorry about that. We have stayed at LaQuintas in other towns, and we find the treatment of this particular LaQuinta detrimental to all other LaQuintas. The quality of the front desk employees on the evenings of May 30, 2014 and May 31, 2014 would have been expected if they were employed at a back alley rent-by-the-hour type motel, but definitely not at a LaQuinta. It is my opinion these employees need one of three things to occur — — either they need to attend training on human and public relations, be fired, or seek employment in a back alley rent-by-the-hour type motel where the customers could care less how the employees treat them.
