Very nice hotel with everything you need when you are away from home. Nice firm bed, though too firm that we could not sleep through the night, especially with the security light right outside the windows, the curtains are short for if they were long they would of cover the strong light. Each time we woke up we thought it was the day bright light. Other than this, the room has a kitchenet, small living and dinning room, big bathroom, laundry, fitness, etc. Stores and restaurants around. Though we came here just to sleep and this was not achieved.

From the outside the hotel appears very nice and inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful. The layout of the hallways could best be described as a maze. The one elevator we saw was slow and small. The room also appeared nice and had lots of wide open spaces. This was explained by the handrails all over the bathroom and the peephole waist high on the door. The room was specifically designed to accommodate wheelchairs. The torture begins when you turn off the lights and try to sleep. First of all there is a security light outside the window (we were on the 3rd floor) so no matter what you did with the curtains it still looked like morning in the rooms. Then there was the bed. It was too small. It barely accomodateac 2 people. The springs pushed through the cushions so it felt like you were laying on uneven concrete blocks under a blanket. Between the bed and the light sleep was hard to come by and we both got up in the morning feeling like someone had beat us with a club all night long. Then came the free breakfast. Not very tasty and a bit on the skimpy side. On a personal note, why serve salty flavored bagels if all you provide to put on them is strawberry flavored cream cheese? All in all the hotel does not deserve it's 3 star rating.

It's ok, but definitely not 4 stars as the reviews state. Bed was comfortable.

Pretty good so far, with the exception of weird skunk like smells in the hallways. The staff is pleasant and friendly. Other than that it's pretty good.

I do not know if in all the venues of this hotel they are the same but in the one that remains in Hoffman Estates has the worst service that I have ever been able to get to know … together with my husband we have been there awkwardly for a while. But for work reasons. I really think before going to this place. Service is terrible starting with the manager and the frontdesk. I really do not know how there can be people who work so badly … I do not recommend it at all.
no se si en todas las sedes de este hotel sean iguales pero en el que queda en Hoffman estates tiene el peor servicio que he podido llegar a conocer. Junto con mi esposo llevamos un tiempo estando allá lastimosamente. Pero por cuestiones de trabajo. De verdad que piensen antes de ir a este lugar. Es terrible el servicio empezando por la manager y las de recepción. De verdad no se como puede haber gente que trabaja tan mal. No lo recomiendo en lo absoluto.

Clean, great breakfast, fantastic gym and laundry. Unfortunately very noise, difficult to have a good night sleep.

Arrived very early in the day after an all night flight and guest services allowed us to check in as soon as we arrived. Very helpful considering how tired we were. The hotel is clean and well maintained. It is conviently located just off the freeway and near restaurants and some shopping. Sears center arena is about a 10 minute drive (the proximity to that venue was our reason for selecting this hotel). Complimentary breakfast had both prepared foods (sausage, scrambled eggs, etc) as well as fruit, yogurt, pastries, bagels, cereals, waffle bar, coffee, juices, etc and was more tgan enough to fill us up before we started our day. The rooms feature a kitchenette (cutlery, dishes, etc included) and there are self serve layndry facilities on site which could be quite helpful is staying for a while. Would definitely stay here again or recommend to others.

I have stayed here on multiple occasions before… no problems. Booked two rooms 2/24/2018, got rooms 204 and 208. Room 204 had BED BUGS. I took a pillow with one crawling to the front desk and the girl didn't seem to care at all, with the grin on her face and all. I was very disappointed because my family and I had to leave at night and take a long drive home. The money we used for those rooms and could've possibly used for a different hotel, won't be refunded til about 5 business days later. Hopefully we didn't take any BED BUGS home with us. This experience was a horrible one and I would NEVER stay here again! Lost of a loyal customer…

Service was pretty standard, room had more amenities than anticipated, microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge. Expected a king bed but was a full. Comfortable and well kept. Would stay again.

Nice spacious clean rooms. With a comfortable bed and kitchen. Large bathroom. Feels more like a studio apartment than a hotel room. Great rates, friendly polite staff and they offer a decent breakfast. This is my go to hotel when I want a night away from home or booking for others.

2nd visit to this same hotel. Booked queen size suite with sofa bed again. Great room, large bathroom. Having a fully stocked kitchen with utensils, plates pots and pans full size refrigerator with ice maker is great. Brought my German Shepherd and Siberian Husky only $15 extra. Breakfast options are fabulous, waffle maker on site, scrambled eggs bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt. This is now my default hotel (or any in there network) anytime I visit Chicagoland area. Thank you Hawthorne Suites Hoffman Estates you have made a lifelong friend.

I loved my 3 week stay here. Very friendly staff super clean and quite. This place really felt like home and I will definitely come back in the future I recommend this to anyone who needs a get away from home to distress or traveling to Chicago and need a place to feel like home.

Beautiful and very spacious. It even came with dishes and a stove. The room was great for the price.

Was pleasantly surprised by the facilities provided inside the room including a mini kitchen with utensils and dishes! The breakfast next morning could have been better, with more warm dishes. Overall pretty good no frills stay!

The hotel room itself is pretty nice, service was nice too, but 5 mins into the first day that I checked in I found a roach in the cabinet! I told the front desk and they sent 2 people to see if it's still there and they didn't find it. They tried offering another room for free but I don't think I want to risk seeing another roach… probably gonna go look for another hotel now…

Clean. Easy to locate. Quiet. Great price. Enjoyed early morning walk around nicely landscaped pond.

It includes free continental breakfast but it also serves dinner for guests 3-4 times a week. Its quiet and private. I enjiyed my stay here. However it seems that there is never a person in the front desk at night mist of the time.

Dog friendly! It was great being able to take a dog with us for the weekend. Loved the studio apartment feel, especially at a bargain price. Descent breakfast too.

The rooms are nice enough. Not crazy about the grounds or the location. Free breakfast is dismal. Overall for a few nights it's bearable.

Highly Recommended We only needed a nice place to rest on our travels but this property would be perfect for couples or families traveling with children. Evtremely clean with comfortable bed, high quality bedding and linens. Kitchen with all necessities — stove, fridge glasses, plates, utensils, toaster. Etc. Perfect for budget… save money by shpping at near by. Supermarket.

The room was amazing and clean. Staff was courteous and prompt when I had a issue with my air conditioning. Would of gave 5 stars but the front desk help was rude at check in everyone else was amazing.

We really enjoyed our two night getaway at Hawthorn Suites. It's in a good location right off the expressway, with lots of stores and restaurants close by. The check-in process was very quick. It only took about 3 minutes. The hotel is extremely clean and well kept. It's very quiet also, which is nice. The rooms are beautiful; it's an extended stay hotel so there is a full kitchen with a stove/fridge/freezer/microwave/dishwasher/etc. It's fully stocked with dishes and cooking utensils and even things like dish soap and paper towels. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were both very spacious. Breakfast was delicious. They have plenty of choices. You can make your own waffles, there are prepared eggs and sausage, a selection of cereals, donuts, muffins, toast, oatmeal, lots of fresh juices, coffee, milk, chocolate milk, etc. We really enjoyed the breakfast, and the attendant kept it well stocked and made sure everything was fresh and hot for the guests. Hawthorn Suites is great for anyone… I would recommend it to families that are traveling or for couples that want to have a weekend getaway (like we did) but don't want to travel far. I'm very impressed and will definitely stay again in the future.

This place is very close to another Hawthorne Suites a few miles away. Be careful to go to the right place. As for the hotel, the rooms are quiet and nicely appointed with a small kitchenette, comfortable bed, and bathroom. The breakfast is good, offering waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, scrambled egg patties, and sausage. Coffee and juice available as well. The breakfast area is a bit cramped, however. The place has the feel of a nursing home more than a hotel. But, it's a good value for the price paid.

This hotel is located around the corner from the IHOP on Hassel Rd. The service was excellent, and the staff asked my preferences for the available rooms which was a nice touch. The rooms are extended stay-type suites, with a full refrigerator, kitchenette and open layout. The facilities were also clean.

I booked thru priceline. This place charged extra $50 for two beds room. It wasn't even two beds! — one regular bed and pull out sofa bed. Soon as we walked into the room, there was a bug crawling over the carpet. Disgusting!

I wanted to stay here for a long time while working for a company. I had to leave this hotel early before my scheduled date because of their highly unsatisfactory services. The top reason is the evening shuttle service from office pick up which got worse day by day. Driver didn't come for a pick up (had to take a cab back to the hotel) and the guys at the reception were clueless about his whereabouts. Seemed to have no control over the notorious evening driver. I have never seen such disappointingly irresponsible, the most uncooperative lot. Other than this, you might get lucky to sleep along with the flies in the room. They never changed the bed sheets after requesting at the front desk as well. In short, this was my last stay here. Feels horrified by recalling my stay in here.

It was okay. The room was fine but a little small compared with other suites we stayed in in the past. The bathroom was also rather plain with just a fiberglass tub. But we needed a hotel we could bring our dog to for a night and this one worked.

Worst experience!. Even more with the staff's disgusting, disrespectful and irresponsible mannners! also, they should do something about their so-called internet/Wi-Fi service which seldom works!

This hotel and staff are super nice.

This hotel is nothing like the past reviews, they are obviously outdated. The Hotel seemed to be fully renovated, everything in the room appeared to be new, and it was extremely clean. I stayed at a HYATT for twice the price of this hotel and it wasn't anywhere near the quality of this hotel, minus the fact that the HYATT had a pool. It smelled so pleasant in our room, there were no odors or cigarette smell like most cheaper end hotels. It was super quite and nice, the bed was a bit small for two people, but we managed. Everything else seemed great, the staff was extremely nice and smiling, really appreciated them being so polite and kind to us. Great hotel and service, extremely clean and good Value for the price we paid! highly recommend this hotel.

Unfortunate and misguided reviews may have steered many away from this place in the past. After a compete remodel, an added full, complimentary hot breakfast and attentive staff, it's where I land myself when I'm in the area.

OMG! I will never stay at this hotel again! I was laying down and I had the urge to keep scratching. Something told me to pull the cover back, and there were tiny orange bugs crawling in the bed! I left immediately to the Hilton across the way! NO WAY ON EARTH WILL I EVER RETURN.
