I'm rating 4/5 stars because it was better than my expectations, but it's a "two star hotel", so mybe my expectations were sort of low. It's in a decent area, nothing too sketchy happening outside. The rates are cheaper than anywhere else I saw, and you get a full kitchen (stove and oven, and a full fridge) to cook in. I didn't ask for any utensils, but you can get pots and dishes from the front desk if you want to. The bed was decently supportive, and I slept pretty well. The TV isn't locked down, so you can use it as a second screen or with a console via HDMI input (whereas many other hotels won't let you do that). I couldn't hear the highway from my room. Had a couple instances where I heard a conversation outside the window or right outside my door in the hallway (which is true at most hotels), but I never heard a sound from the neighboring room (:) ). They do offer breakfast, with tea/coffee/hot chocolate and packed of instant oatmeal or grits. They have some granola bars and packaged muffins you can grab to take with you, too. Very simple, but that's all they advertise. My main issue with the room was cleanliness. I'd like to start by saying the room wasn't dusty at all, which I appreciate greatly, being pretty allergic to dust. So, the bed seemed clean, and the microwave, stove, and fridge were all clean.

Overall experience was satisfactory for the price. Wi-Fi was not that good. The staff is quite helpful and friendly. The bus stop is right outside the building, so that is very helpful to go to downtown Knoxville. It is not too noisy at night. The kitchen is well-equipped. The room cleaning is good on some days and bad on some. The laundry and the vending machines are a bit too expensive. One of the main problems I faced was the smell of the room was bad even after the daily room cleaning. In the summer it can get quite hot as the cooler does not work well.

Very clean and beautifully decorated rooms. Our room had a full size fridge and stove with oven (though we didn't use the stove on this trip). The gentleman working at reception was very polite and tremendously helpful. We were travelling with our dog and so far this was the best pet friendly hotel we have stayed at in 8 states. Do, however, be prepared to sign a ton of liability forms if travelling with a pet. I understand Extended Stay needs to cover themselves, however, the check-in feels more like a court procedure than a welcome. So you may not sleep so well after reading all the terms and agreements of staying at this hotel. This in fact is the reason I don't give them 5 stars.

I hate to leave a bad review but This place is the WORST. Where do I start… From the no smoking but yet the hallways smell like someone was smoking a gas mask, to the staff whom "managers" are not friendly nor do they know what they're doing when it comes to customer service. If your into the extended stay I recommend the one on cedar bluff. Oh did I forget to mention the amount of crackheads in the building all kinds of drug sales at night happening. I even think there was girls coming in and out to from what it looked like. Again I dont like to leave bad reviews but man this here needed to be broadcasted. I'm still waiting on the "CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERT" to contact me from they're 1800 number… 2 months later still havent heard anything.

This place was fantastic. Better than expected. We will now look for and Extended stay every trip we take!

My family loved staying here. There's three of us, my husband and I and my two year old, and we needed a place to stay in a pinch. It was late, but the office still ran smooth for us and the price was right. We will be choosing Extended Stay America in the future!

Love the room. Great people at the desk. But the vending machines, you got to be kidding me. Who do they think they are the Marriott? Other than that, GREAT STAY.

Awesome place to stay and we got the pleasure of meeting sissy, she makes you feel like you have known here your whole life, made my stay very pleasantly.

Nice and peaceful. I asked for cooking pots and pans but they never brought them to my room so I just didn't ask again. Other than that it was nice, clean and comfortable. Be is comfortable.

For the quality of the cost it's a great place. They do their best with the tools they are given. There is a full-size kitchen with an actual oven which is very rare but extremely handy.

I have never been treated with such disregard and disrespect by anyone in the "hospitality" industry in my entire life. And as it turned out, it was the actual property manager that was the rudest of all! I stayed here for around 8 weeks until I could no longer stand it. I cannot express enough that I highly recommend that anyone looking for an extended stay should find some other place of go. Even a flea bag motel would be a better experience than I had here. I wish I could give less than 1 star. And by the way, the beds have bed bugs. That was my final straw. That is why there are always mattresses sitting out by the dumpster. The furniture in my room was falling apart and the hallways were always disgusting.

After a long trip from NC, check in was around 11:00 p. M. Front Desk person was awesome. Had our room keys and in the room within 10 minutes. The room was clean and all appliances were in working order. Even though the hotel was full, the place was very quiet. Great 3 day weekend stay.

Staff was nice, room was ok — clean, but outdated. Computer system was down when I checked in, though, which made it take longer, but they got it fixed by morning.

First room that we was sent to was dirty. Part of had been cleaned but that's it. The second room had cob webs in the bathroom and hair in the floor. Not the type to gripe but wasn't happy with the place at all.

Great value for the money, excellent location, all the rooms have been recently renovated and the staff is nice. Free Wi-Fi is not that great so if you want to watch Netflix be ready to pay for extra speed.

We, a family 2 suits, stayed here with kids for 2016 Thanksgiving, visiting family down in Knoxville, TN, it was nice. Rooms were big, amenities were lovely, nice breakfast, supper clean, smelled good and we enjoyed the Down South Hospitality. Very much good peoples indeed. Thank you Extended Staty/Stay America, you are great indeed. We could not ask for more. Our kids enjoyed the stay as well, lol.

I booked a room with Extended Stay America for two nights. My transfer flight was cancelled the night I was supposed to check in. I'm a technical instructor that was being flown in to teach a class and so I had to go straight to the classroom after booking a separate flight for 6am and teach rather than check in the following morning. I was running on about 3 hours of sleep after dealing with a nightmare of a travel situation, taught class for 8 hours and came to the hotel to stay the second night I had already paid for. Now I wouldn't expect a refund for the first night but I would expect at least to be able to stay the second night that I paid for in advance. Instead, they told me that I was not able to have a room because I didn't check in at the right time. As exhausted as I was, I just agreed to pay for another night and go to sleep and contact Expedia about it later. Expedia contacted them and again they decided that it was in their best interest to side with greed and not honor the reservation that I paid for. Never going to an Extended Stay America ever again. Which is too bad for them because I travel at least three to four times a month for work. Very short sighted. Room was terrible anyways.

I had previously left a negative review regarding management and housekeeping some time ago. After writing that review a change took place at this property. My boyfriend, and I lived at this hotel for almost 3 months. Working and living out of our deluxe studio comfortably, we did some minor redecorating and even had a fish tank lol We were actually pretty sad to leave and still look back at our time spent there fondly. The best bang for your buck without question! Keep up the good work Deborah and try to keep the positive attitude you so effortlessly displayed during our last interaction a permanent ammenity! Looking forward to staying here in the future.

I am updating this review. The second day someone knocked on our door to say that we owe a huge pet deposit. When checking in, we were not told that, and the sign for their pet policy was hiding behind another one and was hard to see if impossible. My husband and I feel that they should tell you the fee upfront, and not the next day. So far this place is good. It has a little kitchenette, but you have to bring your food to cook.

The Extended Stay Hotel In Knoxville Tn. Was a pleasant experience. Check in provided excellent service. The check in process was under 7 minutes. The room was clean, pots and pans were ready for a nice meal. I would definitely recommend anyone needing a place to stay on business or leisure to stay here. There are many different types of food restaurants in the area. 5 stars from check in to check out.

Dirty room. None accessible power outlets behind air conditioning. Drink machine has drinks in wrong categories. TV is barely hanging on. Whole room smelled like chemicals. Oranges at the breakfast are had strange film on them. To top it off, the toilet paper was turned the wrong way. DO NOT STAY HERE! Only one star rating I've given to a business. Thanks for a rotten stay.

This place advertised 57.00 per night. Upon our arrival they would not honor the rate so with a military discount the bill was 77+ dollars. It was 10:30 pm so we accepted the rate. We then realized there was no elevator and we had to struggle with luggage up 30+ stairs. Finally we arrived to the room only to realize you must ask for the coffee maker and utensils for the kitchen. If that is not eneough there is no ice machine on the premises. I have never rated a business before, but this is ridiculous. We just wanted an inexpensive decent place to rest overnight. 77+ dollars really?

Thought that the room would be a little bigger, room didn't have dishes in it had 2 call room service 4 them, continental breakfast are just packs of oatmeals, apples, & coffee. Other than that the room was fine. Sorry but I have 2 come back in 2 edit my review. After checking out of the hotel at 11 we want 2 make 1 more stop at the park, upon arriving at the park week notice that we did not have our cooler. With no possible way to get in contact with the front desk except for calling Extended Stay Corporation, we just had to go back to the hotel to get the cooler. But to our surprise when we asked about the cooler, the stuff I had no idea where the cooler was. The front desk clerk stated that room service at already left for today. What about my cooler!

Very nice and clean with many apparent modern renovations, completed (in the room) and ongoing (in the lobby, etc. ) Bed was very comfy. Showers had white and fluffy towels. Kitchenette was nice. Work station/desk/table with two nice computer chairs and a recliner. I would stay here again, with a competitive rate included.

I am very disappointed in this Hotel! The room smells like urine, yes, it is a room for pet owners. The rug looked filthy. There are no pots/pans/dishes, etc to cook with. No coffee maker. The standing lamp is leaning against the wall. The b'fast consist of fruit/muffin/coffee only… no set-up for a b'fast area. No elevators, I had to walk up 2 flights with my luggage — 4 times. The hallway stinks. No ice machine (ice tray in refrig). Walls are marked up. A/C unit dusty and very loud. Furniture is dusty. Will not come back.

The water stink! I wonder if there was a dead body in the tank!

My stay consisted of 6 nights, with various problems which occured during that time, although rated high by "trip advisor". First issue, the quoted and confimed rate of 54.99/ night, changed to 70.99 at check-in, not including the 17.35% taxes. After hours of steady arguments with the hotel manager, I contacted the district manager and got the rate corrected. Second, the room was uncleaned upon entry, and the bed linens were ripped and stained. When I informed the front desk, they wanted to charge an additional $25.00 to clean the room and replace the linens. Third, the room air conditioner would not work, and it took them 2 days to fix it. When I plugged in my pc, or the TV, the circuit for the room would blow, and again it was unacceptable. I attempted to get a different room, but the hotel management refused. Fourth, the so-called "complementary breakfast" cost $5.00. Fifth, the hotel fire alarms regularly would go off in the middle of the night, causing the evacuation of the entire hotel, until the fire department cleared it. Finally, I was expecting a package to be delived, and later learned the the hotel personel refused the package, without ever letting me know it had arrived. This is a hotel to avoid at all costs.

When I went to check in noone was at the front dest I sat for almost 30 mins and ended up calling. When someone finally showed up she was very rude.

Had to check the room for bed bugs,, found one in rm,, they gave us another rm an no bugs in it.

Not impressed at all. I'm a traveling technician and stay in hotels 75% of the time. This will be the first and last time here. The "mouthwash mint" smell in the room was so overpowering, it made my nose burn. And to top it off. It barely covered the smell of whatever was left in the garbage down the hall. The internet here is a joke. You pay $5 for access to "high speed" internet that makes you miss dial-up. However, once you log on, you can increase you speed "up to 3MB". For an additional daily fee. I ended up tethering my phone to my laptop bc it was faster. I also hope you don't enjoy watching TV while you're out of town either because the 30 channels you get don't even cover the basics. There is also a charge to have your room cleaned, trash emptied and bed made. I personally feel that should be a standard among hotels. Not an option. As for the price, sounds good on the front end, but once you add all the hidden fees, it's not that great of a deal. I've stayed at nicer places for less money. I wish previous guests would have posted a few reviews, so I could have avoided this place altogether. The only positive note, the people at the front desk are friendly and accommodating.
