The experience I had was okay. The rooms were clean. We had no issues with the air not working or anyone lingering around the premises. And the rate for which we paid was very decent. All and all the experience was great and we will be using this hotel again.

The hotels we normally frequent were booked so after reading the mixed reviews we decided to take a chance and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The exterior is nothing special but after finding the light switch our room appeared clean, no sign of creepy crawlies, smelled fresh and everything worked. Breakfast was simple but offered several cold items plus pancakes and biscuits and gravy. I imagine we will stay again.

Very nice 2 star hotel. Nothing fancy and the first door didn't work but I was pleasantly surprised when I finally got in a room. It was basically clean and the AC worked well. Nothing fancy just a decent 2 star hotel.

It was a great location in the center of town. While I stayed the housekeepers provided a neat room every day. Try the pancake machine. It's really cool and tasty!

Very good pancake breakfast, no waffle machine, pancake machine, very good free breakfast, dirty rooms, no bed bugs, nice view, amen to the Gospel tracts in the front … JOHN 13:34-35  (GOD'S GRACE) CAUSE (JESUS THE TRUTH) : "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. You get what you pay for. The good: very good water pressure and adjustable massaging shower head, pets stay free, decent sized room for 2 adults and one dog, outdoor pool in season (did not use), area seemed safe, well-lit, several restaurants within walking distance. The bad: weird check-in after 9pm you must check in through a walk up window while the desk clerk stays inside, dog friendly but no flat grassy area in back for walking dogs, no poop bags nor nearby garbage outside so area was messy (other RRI locations have this), very disappointing free breakfast with nothing but a few Danish, biscuits and gravy left one hour before the end of serving, poorly maintained room with cracks and stains in ceiling, water dripping from ceiling in middle of room, no vent fan or window in bathroom thus peeling ceiling from humidity, warped wood floor in room, microwave and fridge provided but not enough power outlets nearby to run both without unplugging the tv, iron missing from room, bed were creaky. Luckily we only stayed one night.

I went to check out the accommodations at this Red Roof Inn before booking because I saw it had mixed reviews. The front office was really quite nice, and the clerk at the desk was very helpful and genuine, but when I went to look at the room, which was supposed to be non-smoking, the first thing I noticed was the smoke smell and the 30s-40s architecture. The furniture appeared to be in good condition, but the jacuzzi tub in the room had a large crack on the outside, and the place just felt dirty. I thanked the clerk for letting me look and mentioned the smoke smell then took my leave. I can't speak for other rooms, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel except as a cheap place to crash for the night on a cross-country drive.

We have stayed here several times. Rooms we clean. Staff is great. Pet friendly. We were very comfortable leaving pet there while we visited family. Will definitely stay again.

Booked through a booking site, and was turned away when I arrived due to over capacity. The lady at the desk was completely unhelpful. I'd never go here again.

Arrived 4/27 for one night. Original room did not have functioning a/c or heat. Moved to new room that had dirty towels hanging from the bathroom door hooks. One of the wall outlets didn't work. Laura at the front desk was helpful and courteous, BUT what could she do… put on her tool belt and do the wash too? Was also quoted a 69.00$ rate and was charged 76.00$ plus taxes on checkout. Room was OK, BUT more than a few more problems than usually expected for a Red Roof.

Required reservation with recommended website. It charges 78 dollars instead of 55 as advertised. Even if you have reservation with phone call, doesnt apply. Really insignificant.

Really enjoyed our stay. Clean, quiet and affordable. We would definitely stay there again.

Horrible service, didn't have the 5 beds promised, after we show up after an 8 hour drive. The rooms were dirty, floors broken. Next morning the"breakfast" was 2 week old yogurts and absolutely rockhard scons, cold coffee and that was pretty much it. Only edible thing was a banana. Don't waste your money here.

Filthy nasty place. Hot water not working and the smell in room made me VOMIT. Left in 3 hrs and they refused to refund. Disabled vet got treated like dirt, he had to sleep in car. Manager rude and uncaring and told corporate we lied!

Housekeeping arrived before checkout time, good thing because there was only 1 towel in our double room so I had been waiting to shower. It only took about two minutes to get the 3 of them to understand that I needed a towel, not sure if they really didn't understand or just didn't want to spare the extra towel. We were out by 11:30am but we're asked 3 times within that half hour if we were staying. On the plus side the front desk staff was polite and breakfast was better than expected.

Had a reservation here for my work. My work takes care of all my lodging. I have NEVER had an issue when checking into a hotel with nothing but my license, all my rooms are paid through my corporate office. And I travel 3-5 days a week so that’s a lot of hotels. I drove 6 hours to get to this particular hotel. Had my reservation info and license. I was told by 2 staff that I could not check unless I had the credit card used for reservation nor could I use my personal debit card. In all the 5+ years I’ve worked traveling I have never needed a company credit card. So then I had to drive 6 hours back home. Which they basically just said oh well. I will specifically asked my company to never schedule me in this hotel again!

The showerhead was awesome! :) The check in/out employees were awesome! :) The room was clean, but is in need of some TLC. The price was reasonable. The Buffet was lacking! We were there promptly at 6am on a Thursday. The gravy was cold, no eggs, although it was in the menu, only had apples, didn't see milk for the cereal, no lids for the coffee AND you had to eat in the buffet room. The pancake machine and its final product were cool.

I've stayed at better Red Roofs. The floors looked unmopped, toilet seat was pee stained, pillows seemed old and the beds were very basic. I would says it's what you get for the price. I doubt I would stay at this location again. Recent Red Roofs have been much better. Update! Don't break your neck going into the ice/vending area on the 1st floor, there's a step up and it's not marked nor is there a sign.

Nice people at desk; clean room with working refrigerator & microwave. Good location convenient to downtown Jackson & nearby colleges. Waffle House in walking distance.

Big parking, we were able to park our truck and trailer beside the building. Bed is comfortable and the room and bathroom is clean.

This was my second time staying in this hotel, and actually got the same room! I like that Red Roof allows ferrets, and this particular hotel has linoleum floors, which is much easier to keep clean in case of accidents. However, both times I have had issues with dust/ lint. It seems like the dryers don't pull all of it out of the sheets, which is a bit awkward. And perhaps because there's no carpet, any lint on the floor WILL find your feet. If you have slippers or socks though, it's fine. Everything else about this location is stellar though! I love that they have eco-friendly options. Good breakfast, service, and price point!

I have to honestly say this experience was highly unsatisfactory. They say you get what you pay for and we sure did! When we arrived we were assigned a room that was occupied! Lucky we didn't get shot barging in to someone's room like that! Secondly our beds were full of bed bugs! We even brought them home with us and are still trying to get rid of them because the beds were so infested. I slept maybe two hours the entire night. The room next door partied all night. Extremely displeased with our experience at this motel. Lesson learned. Will not be back!

Price was the lowest that I found in this area. Room was comfy but couldn't keep the heater on because it smelled and set off the smoke alarm. Room had a micro and a small fridge which was a real blessing. The only bad experience was ordering delivery from Asian Garden.

A little pricey for area. Above par rooms. Nice and competent staff.

Why the 4 Stars? Never judge a book by its cover right? It is not fancy nor luxurious but at the end of the day this Red Roof Inn delivers big on just one thing: to provide an affordable resting place. Even though it looks old and could use a facelift both inside and out, I loved the following: Convenient location, comfortable bed, good in-room ac unit, decent showerhead and overall acceptable cleanliness. If more than one person will be staying, be sure to ask for extra towels at the lobby as they are free of charge. If you reserved a non-smoking room, try to check the space before you settle in. Bring some good soap and shampoo as the ones provided are useless (bet you already knew this). There are also plenty of nearby cheap breakfast options. Overall, I just dont see the need to throw away lots of money just for a place to rest. Go ahead an treat yourself to a nice meal with the money you will save and thank me afterwards!

Overall, the service here wasn't bad, but several things could be improved. Some of the towels had stains on them, the sheets were worn and loosely fitted, and the shower curtain and head were a bit moldy. Also, the floors were a kind of faux wood, and while they looked nice, they were wet when we arrived and stayed sticky for the entire stay. On the bright side, they had a cool automatic pancake maker.

I HATED THIS PLACE, overpriced for what it is. I would give it zero stars if I could. Hard loud floors, hard bed, dirty everything, plumbing leaks, toilet is cracked, linen smells, furniture ripped and dated. No Wi-Fi, and best yet I took my son to get the "contenental free breakfast" (what a joke). The lady "rudely" told us we had to sit in the little (4x8) room to drink orange juice and eat a mini-muffin, she actually made my two year old cry. DO NOT BRING YOUR BUSINESS HERE! Plus your back will pay for it.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, really comfortable beds! Slept amazingly — super quiet, dark room with an awesome AC unit and a nice mixture of fluffy and firm pillows. Some minor wear on detailing around the room, such as floorboards, but everything was in good working order. No bugs, no bedbugs, clean grounds, no one smoking where they shouldn't have, and the pool looked really inviting, though we didn't get a chance to enjoy it. Pet friendly, and a professional drivers' discount to boot — if we need a place to stay in the area, we'll be back without a second thought.

Clean room, friendly staff…. Good price for room value and there is no extra charge for kids 17 and under… Free breakfast… Location is good right off N. Highland which means lots of businesses in walking distance. You can get to hotel by going down Lamar Circle off Ridgecrest. I recommend that because you virtual avoid all traffic on N Highland which at times is very congested. In walking distance to Waffle House, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Dollar General and Exxon Gas station. I would stay there again.

Breakfast, clean rooms, pool, free Wi-Fi and quite location and good people.

Was going to give 3 stars because the bed was comfortable, but then I had to smash a roach (cock roach — not an old joint) that was hanging out on top of the mini fridge in our room…
